Springfield offices: Stop overbooking people on reservations so that when they show up - they aren't left in the lurch when the equipment isn't available. Tony at the ticket office originally did nothing for me for a discount when I was upset that none of my equipment was available and ready. It was a fight with him telling me that's to be expected. Then why let people book it? Terrible process that made my move miserable.

Employ more Team Members with the work ethic and positive attitude as Taylor had when I came in to pick up a trailer I rented. My day got away from me and I was late getting there. In fact, you all were about to be closing. Taylor was so kind and very efficient. She took care of me as if it was the middle of the day and she still had plenty of time to finish her work for the day. U-Haul is a better Company with Taylor taking care of your Customers!

The lady who helped us was absolutely phenomenal!!!!?? I would absolutely 100 % recommend this location to all of my family and friends! I loved U haul in Tampa, I used them for trailers n trucks frequently w my local moving business. I was hoping Cape Girardeau would be a solid relationship as well. But Penske seems to be better here. The trailer lights did not work so no nighttime use, and I was required to buy extra insurance. I'm trying to expand to Cape so every dollar counts ya know. I was gonna be an hour or two late and asked if I could pay a little extra for a couple hours. NOPE. didn't even listen . Cost me 60 bucks extra. Be nice if more transparent . Easy peasy! Used the app, followed up with a phone call to make sure I did everything right, showed up the next day, picked up the dolly and hit the road. I returned it later the same day with no issues. The dolly was super easy to use. Great experience! Thanks!

I would rather higher but the unit was to small and when I cancelled it the lady working 'forgot' to actually cancel it and I was charged $127. Which I was told I would receive back in 1-5 days. There is a lady worker at the Kingshighway office that is just a terrible jerk, I feel like she should become a cop or a prosecuting attorney because it appears that she lives in the mind set of 'who day am I gonna ruin today' with a smile on her face. I wish I knew her name. Otherwise you guys are great 

Your facility is very nice and I appreciate it the fact that I could store my stuff there in relative safety however people on fixed income such as myself will find it more difficult to afford a state of the art facility such as yours,,, economics will force you to raise your rates it's not your fault it's just the way it is

Strictly a corporate issue. Not everyone wants your crappy app. Eliminate the need to scan the back of the ID if you already have gathered all identification and other information. I have had easier times checking into a doctor's office.

Strictly a corporate issue. After you have gathered all my information and data there is no need for me to scan my ID, especially when your website is not compatible with new OS on phones. No I will not download the app to make it easier, because that shouldn't be needed. Pretend I'm an old person that hates technology, make it so we can just walk in and hassle free get a storage unit. When your staff has issues, you should really reevaluate if you should just put a copy machine in each location and just copy the ID like a doctors office. If it's good enough for them who must legally abide by HIPPA laws, why are you gathering more information than what is actually necessary? Seems like you are becoming part of the big brother family if you're gathering that much data, which personally in this day and age of cyber attacks you should be incorporating some analog safety measures like not having us scan or ID over the internet. Make your website iPhone 15 pro compatible perhaps. This entire online check-in experience was not needed especially when it said that online check in wasn't available from the start. You are literally creating more problems for both your customers and employees by having incompetent IT staff. I will recommend ANYONE else. Small mom and pop storage and moving don't create this hassle. Accountability for movers that don't properly block off their time are also going to be the downfall of Uhaul as they are allowing "private contractors" to use their moving help websites who in turn leave a bad reputation on Uhaul for when they cancel, and then further Uhaul looks incompetent for not being able to follow or hold any form of accountability against those that quite literally leave their customers hung out to dry. Uhaul will ruin their own picture if the continue on like this, and I will be more than happy to support local businesses over this corporate incompetence.

Unbelievable experience. I've used u haul so much but I've never been treated with such disrespect in any consumer experience ever. An employee was upset that I parked in the wrong location, which I was not aware of as I was not informed I couldn't park there and this section of the parking lot was not marked in any way that customers could not park there. To "prove a point" (those were the employees words) they blocked my car on in on both sides with two u haul trucks. They were within inches on both sides of my mirrors and went over the yellow lines on each spot. They could've easily caused damage. When I confronted the employee about this they went onto justify it. If I was really parked in the wrong location I had no way of knowing with our proper signage, being an employee, or being informed by the employee who help me with my reservation. None of those things are the case. Another employee instructed her to no longer speak to me because I was upset. Then she was rude and sarcastic ending the exchange with a "have a nice day" that was condescending. I'm honestly shocked by the behavior. I would've happily had a conversation about this and learned for next time. The retaliation felt like harassment and it was inappropriate and unprofessional.

I had a 24 hour rental and was told it had to be back in four hours because someone else is using it. I do not understand why I did not get my full 24 hrs and they said the agent put 4 hrs in the system. So I could only do one load and return it. I did not have time to go back and pick up my mattresses.

Initially, made reservation online. Received a text to call as there were no trucks available at the location requested though the system showed there was and accepted the reservation. Reservation was changed to pick up at Cape Girardeau location by the operator to whom I spoke. However, the size truck was also changed to a smaller truck which created problems. We ended up making it work but this experience added a level of stress to the move that should not have been an issue.

I ordered a truck to pick up in Sikeston, MO. The truck was for use only in Sikeston, MO. The pickup location had to change to a different place in Sikeston (Cape Girardeau). When the pickup location was changed, so was the date. I didn't know the date changed so my reservation was canceled. I then was sent to the S. Kingshighway location 30 minutes away. I discussed with the uhaul employee over the phone that I shouldn't have to pay mileage to Cape Girardeau and back because I ordered the truck to be picked up/dropped off in Sikeston, MO. She said she would include that mileage in the contract. When I picked up the truck in Cape, I again mentioned the mileage and was told there were no "notes" about it but he would see what he could do. I was also made to return the truck to Cape Girardeau, MO instead of Sikeston (WHICH MAKES NO SENSE). I questioned this because I did not have the time to do this and my registered driver was not going to be available on drop off day. As an inexperienced driver, I had to drive the truck up the interstate to Cape Girardeau with the check engine light on. The truck had trouble starting a couple of times during our 2 day rental and the check engine light came on on day 2. When I finally get to return the truck, the general manager said if I hadn't spoken to him about the mileage then there was no guarantee. First off, that is absolute crap because I was told by TWO DIFFERENT employees that the extra mileage would be included. Finally the GM said he would just bill for the estimated mileage I had entered upon booking the truck. I've rented from uhaul several times and it is always a complete crapshoot as to how the experience is going to be. The inconsistency is extremely frustrating. However, uhaul tends to be the only option available. So I'm forced to keep coming back for more, not knowing how things will go over every single time.

Driver door had to be slammed hard to close, which we didn't realize until we were 5 hours in - super loud! No dash lights around controls (heat, etc),. Otherwise no issues with the vehicle.

Had to hunt up staff for service as they were out smoking or talking personally to other staff and had to wait til they were done. Manager was not friendly at all and I did all I could to avoid dealing with her.My payment was credited to another shed and it took me 3 separate trips to get it straightened out while I was locked out of access to my shed. I had to pay 2 extra months cause I couldn't clean out my shed due to the lockout and I didn't have truck. Had to reschedule with help 2 times before the lockout was taken care of, even though I had bank statements and uhaul statements showing I was paid up. I was unable to ever use this unit. It already had a lock on it and office was closed and unable to remove the uhaul lock so I wasn't able to store my stuff with uhaul. I ended up having to pay at another storage facility. This was supposed to be removed from my account and never was until my 4th phone call to complain. It should have only been 1 call and should have been properly done the first time.

The access code I was asked to give them, was given but I couldn't access the building. The GM didn't believe me that my code didn't work even though I spent 20 years Active Duty with Top Secret clearance and years of using alarm/access control systems. So he went over and found out I'm not an idiot and my code didn't actually work. He then gives me his code to use since he has to contact IT support and he will call me when it's fixed. So I go back to the storage unit which is not located at the office and this makes my THIRD drive over on this Friday 28 July 2023. So using the GM's code I gain access to the building where the storage unit was located. The unit I signed a contract for was already locked, with two locks. After screaming my frustrations to no one since this building is empty, I have to make my way back over to the office and let them know that the unit I signed contract for was already occupied. The GM takes over my paperwork, starts a whole new contract with a new unit assigned to me. I drive back over to the building, gain access with the GM's code and go look into the new unit I'm assigned to. When I open the sliding door an alarm goes off so I immediately shut the door. I go back over to the office and inform them I did gain access to the storage building but was unable to inspect the newly assigned unit but I was leaving. The GM assured me he would call to let me know when my code would be working. Saturday arrives and just after noon I have not received a phone call yet so I go back to the storage unit. My code is still not working so I drive over to the office to let them know my code still is not working. I'm going to fill up the storage unit on Sunday, tomorrow, and I'm assured if I use the GM's code all will be good. Today is Tuesday with no phone call saying everything is fixed so far but the business equipment I bought is stored and secured. Observing that office and the people who work there, evaluations need to be performed. I didn't even mention the mistakes made on the first contract but pointing them out to the GM when he did a second new contract he corrected those mistakes even though I pointed the mistakes out to the first intake person and she has not the personality for sales. Rude and condescending started when I showed up to tell them the issues I was having in the beginning.

It was confusing to have to log in to 2 different keypads, There was supposed to be a lock inside for me and it wasnt there. Had to come back the next day just to get a lockto put on my unit. But nice note was Brandi was working saturday evening and really helped me out to get in the facility!

Customer service was good- working with my time schedule. I feel the units are overpriced for the size. I realize it is hard to maintain a pest/bug/rodent free space with multiple people moving in and out. I realize bugs can come through the smallest crack, but I still think storage unit walk enclosures should be built from bottom to top. I did not like being able to see my neighbors mistress hanging into my unit. The facility advertises 24/hr security- 2 separate occasions a side entry door was propped open upon my arrival making me feel unsafe to enter the building. My unit door had a sensor that needed to be replaced, according to a security guard, when my alarm went off while I was sorting through my belongings, but it was never fixed. The new building is excellent and clean, but the prices are higher so I had to move to another building. U-Haul advertises a clean bathroom facility, which is a bonus. I found it odd that the restroom entry was outside of an interior storage unit facility. This is a disadvantage for both employees and consumer, as it's apparently forgotten about when it comes to cleaning and sanitizing. I moved out early without a prorated discount- not impressed but I do not have experience with storage units nor do I have anything to compare my experience with.

A high price we pay for those storage units(totally understandable they're nice, secure convenient). The staff is just always so short with me and ALWAYS talks to me like I couldn't be a bigger inconvenience. I had a storage unit there for almost two years never missed a payment and just never had a polite interaction with the staff. I tried my best to always be polite but it was never enough to gain a pleasant interaction. The storage is great just think maybe I can find something a little less expensive with a staff that acts like they can stand me. Thanks again my unit was very serviceable. Have a great day guys. Told them it would be very late, after ten or 11 pm before we could get to the unit. When we get there AT 1AM!! We don't have access to the building. So, I a widow have to find a hotel room for my movers at that time of the morning, I have no lock for the truck. $320 later. 4 hours of sleep we rearrange my garage and shove it all in there. Now I will never get my new car in the garage but hey.

Most staff members were very friendly and helpful but one. She was short tempered and not friendly at all. She did her job but it was like pulling nails to get questions answered. It made an uncomfortable experience to rent a shed from her. I take it she's some type of manager there cause the staff referred to her on things. So I'm not sure I'd use this facility again.

Accommodating thanks to customer services reservations. I was accommodated I just wish the storage could be accessed 24 hours a day without a $10 charge as I did not have a $10 charge the last storage unit at Uhaul.

It's a very nice place and the carts or very helpful but the lockers were very small I could only fit half my stuff I the 5*10*10 so I don't know what I'm going to do with rest of my stuff and I I only moved a 1 bed apartment I should have got a 10*10*10 loCker and there wasn't nobody aT the place to get help and my cards wouldn't let me in the sliding door and I still don't have a lock For my locker I was told that there would be one in it but there wasnt so my overall experience went both way so I was pleased but bummed out about my stuff not fitting thank you

The folks here helped me out no matter what new problem I created. Went threw first 2 large store rooms then 1 large, then down to 1 medium. Came in from Las Vegas with a 32foot and car trailer, then rented a medium truck they fixed my mistake (needed a ramp) reserved the wrong one. Then finely needed a trailer to move into my new home. The staff here in cape and the folks in Las Vegas made this nearly 11 month long process happen many thanks to them and the company邏

Information given to me by phone regarding one month free storage was misleading. After a very long & stressful day of moving & driving the U-Haul truck 8+ hours, I was frustrated. The correct size unit (reserved with the owner, not an online reservation) was not available on the day I was scheduled to move-in. Insisted that a disc lock was required. I purchased it but inquired if (unopened, was it returnable; 2x, Brandy said yes). On, 1-9-22; Brandy said she was unable to process the return for the unused & unopened lock. Both visits resulted in lengthy, uncomfortable situations that wasted considerable time. Very poor communication & customer service.

The move in was clunky but that was because of Uhaul's reservation system not the staff. The staff, and I mean everyone of them, were GREAT!! Outside of the reservation system allowing a room to get double booked, the unit didn't have the greatest ventilation as we did have some signs of light mold.

Only complaint is that I was able to reserve a unit online but when I got to the office I was told there weren't any of that size available even though I was able to reserve online. I asked if I could rent the larger unit that was available for same price as small unit that i reserved online but was told I could not.

The staff was friendly and helpful, but the access was difficult. The code wouldn't disarm the alarm even after system reboots and changing the code. The alarm goes off every time we attempt to access the unit.

The unit was too small for all of my furniture. Instead of getting one big locker you guys gave me two small lockers. I called and tried to switch the units but the customer service could not help me.

I was told a lock would be inside and it wasn't. I had to go get one from across the street. It was very hard to maneuver through the narrow passages with large items. It was horribly inconvenient with no outside access. They do offer carts and have a friendly staff. I would only recommend this storage facility for small items. It is definitely not the route to go if your moving a house full of furniture!

Wonderful experience, they go out of their way to accommodate their customers when they are able. Very gracious when I accidentally stored my property in the wrong unit and accommodated my requests. Fortement recommandé!

Overall I was very satisfied until I checked out on 8.19.20 Office was under staffed, long line manager Tammy as for my unit number asked if it was out I said yes, next day 8.20.20 I get charged for another month. Tammy even called me on 8.22.20 to see if I had checked out. Customer service text Tammy to call me to give me a credit but I still haven't heard from her.

The only reason the facility was not clean and well maintained, was due to the fact that it is undergoing remodeling. The young lady that assisted me was new, and she did a fine job. I commented on how well she did with all the construction noise going on. She was very friendly, and helpful. I highly recommend U-Haul, and will continue to be a customer with you!

A bird managed to tear through the ceiling of my 5x10 storage unit. The ceiling seemed like nothing more than some cheap fabric. There was bird poop, feathers, and straw all over my stuff.
