Kiley S checked me in at Cedar Rapids told me that i had full tank couple days before that they gave me the same truck so i can get my stuff out of my storage there and i looked i had 1/4 i said to her no i dont told me to take picture so i did and the milage when i dropped it off in Des Moines they told me that i went 380 miles from Cedar Rapids,Ia to Des Moines,Ia said thats about 110 miles she gave me about 10 miles extra.so des moines people called cedar rapids and said that the milage that she wrote down was wrong i have proof took picture before i left their parking lot so they didnt charge me extra also it took awhile before i could leave

I did mobile pickup and then I got there my key was not in the little cubby. I then go inside where I have wait forever because there was a line. Which I wanted to avoid hence why I chose mobile. They were unorganized and didn't know where my truck was.

I just want to say that Rachel and her employees at 16th Avenue in Cedar Rapids has and will always truly be an amazing staff of this facility from day one as noted in a previous comment. I will admit that she and her team worked very hard and closely with me when I fell into some financial hard times to where I pretty much was at the point of giving up on my grandparents heirlooms,pictures,estate items and things personal of past that could never be replaced. As anyone who has lost a loved one knows the struggles of grief and loss and hardships therein know how precious those last artifacts are of persons who have raised you since birth.Just as I had given up on the fact that I wouldn't be able to get my storage out It was a miracle that Rachel and Nikki and Jon and staff of 16th Avenue were able to help me and my family get out of the out of control situation and come to a solution and all was good! I will say this about the staff at this location and that is they need commended and recognized by their upper management partners and supervisors, and most importantly the members of the communities that they serve.Also for their compassion during times of hardship,the team effort, the family oriented atmosphere from the moment you walk in to the facility to when you leave the facility they are there every step of the way. It is sad to see them in our rearview but with tears of joy, and sense of happiness we will always be ever grateful and thankful for everything that the staff of this facility has so diligently presented and they will always be a part of our family!! I thank you guys dearly and there's nothing more or less that I could do to repay the hospitality that you've shown! Manager was amazing, the beginning of my experience not so much as I originally had set up to pick up at 700 something center point road.. No one was there even though they were supposed to be open by 8 and pick up was 8 am by 815 I called the main uhaul number and asked to change locations since no one was at my designated location we changed to 16th Avenue sw the manager approached us as we entered was very friendly, helpful, great customer service.

The woman who helped us was great. U-Haul had switched our location last minute due to an issue at the original location and she was friendly and ready to help. She was very knowledgeable about the equipment and really appreciated her time and help.

I rented a 20' truck. The agent told me that the gas tank was full and that I needed to return the truck full. The paperwork also said the truck was full. I drove the truck 86 miles and filled it up right before turning it in. It took 18 gallons of gas to fill. Unless your trucks only get 4,8 mpg, I got screwed on the gas. The truck was not full when I picked it up.

So they want to review. Okay review this... Had my belongings there for about 10 months. Everything I owned. Times have been difficult and I've had to land all our stuff in the storage garage. Short version is some part of the staff and/or management took the liberty to break into my storage garage, steal several thousand dollars worth of our belongings, including kids toys, and trash what they left. One manager blames another, that manager acts like he has no idea what's going on. The fact of the matter is that after my garage was ransacked and burglarized, you all then went in changed my lock and put an additional security lock that had to be clipped off. Unfortunately the police here are completely incompetent and unhelpful without making me wait indefinitely for some to maybe show up and take a report. And of course since the management was involved, as far as I'm concerned, I get no help from them either. We're just out our stuff. I would never in my life recommend anyone take their belongings here to store them if they expect it to be safe and secure, that includes safe and secure from the staff and management hands. Time suck for a lot of people right now. People who have to resort to storing their lives in order to keep afloat. And then these people come into our lives. Smgdh......

The manager of this store Rachel and her employee were great with getting me in early actually then my scheduled pickup time of the vehicle. The paperwork was minimal and the overall respect from both of them was above and beyond expected!! They which by the way both handled a very unruly customer very well and used professional judgement and made the right decisions to remain calm and maintain composure even though a aggressive tone of voice had to be used to get the point across that he was to leave the store and continued to not obey commands, so after a final郎郎 "sir please leave my store,NOW" ✔️ please ,everything went well and the gals held their ground. I'm gonna say that 1550 16th Ave Cedar Rapids storage will be my forever storage rental facility!. "Thank you to everyone at U-Haul, you made a stressful last minute move really a relief off my shoulders."

Unfortunately, I have to give this bad review!!! Rachael and her staff was Awesome!!! However My Unit, was INFESTED with Mice and Mice Drippings ALL OVER MY THINGS, To the point I was scared to bring half of it with me when it was time to Move it!!! It was VERY VERY BAD. I didn't want any Mice Babies in my New Place, Nor anything that smelled like Mice Pee. It was Really Bad. I had to leave half my stuff there because it was totally destroyed. I use Uhaul for all of my moving needs and I will continue to do so but this was a Really Bad Experience when it was time to get my things out. I will be calling Corporate because I HAD some things that I really didn't want to leave but I really didn't have any other choice because of the conditions it was in. I will have to start over with some of my things but I refuse to put them in a New Home in the condition they were in. And when I called and asked, The young lady was like "Oh Yeah" "Sorry"!!! Not Acceptable!!!! Very Disappointed.

I have lived in AZ for 13 years the last time I was in Iowa was in 2011. Yet my kind act of helping my BIL pay for his storage unit is now going to hurt my credit. They are coming after me for a $1600 bill yet do not have a contract. I will be contacting the BBB and the credit burrows. It's sad that they know the manager before was cutting corners yet when I provided this information to them they did nothing to correct it.

Had been at this facility since before uhaul acquired it. I had one of the bigger unit's (20×20) and over the past two years my rate was continuously raised until I couldn't justify keeping it. Great staff and I liked the facility.

The temperature controlled unit was below 40 and the gate ( not even attached) and doors were unlocked, the nasty lady behind the counter said it wasn't going to be fixed in 3-4 days? How long was I paying extra for nothing at all? This is a very poorly run facility and the manager needs to look at who is taking care of his store!!

in the few months that I had my storage facility I had a 65 inch smart TV and a boxer taken out of my unit they claim to be the number one in security even stated that I shouldn't need any extra insurance when I filled out that the application to get the unit and yet had to grainy footage to even see who had taken my television on top of that I moved out in July having made my July payment they knew and didn't put anything down got a hold of me in August where I told them that I had moved out a month prior in the locket been off and proceeded to tell me things were fine that they would get it documented only to be really gotten hold of in September with the same issue when saying it for the third time I received an email stating that I was trying to shirk my bill on to someone else which is completely false just letting them know for people that did their their checks and drive-thrus of the facility should have seen that the lock was off let alone the numerous times that should have been documented now I'm to be charged a cleaning fee and I don't even know what because they don't give you any numbers figures or dates I would never recommend your facility to anyone else every time I had to go into the office to make a payment or rent a U-Haul which I also did two times it took forever ridiculous never again!

We left due to the rise in cost. It simply became more affordable for a shed. One other note, the truck rental operations often impede access to the storage, Perhaps by switching the large truck and trailer parking it would keep the path open? Not a huge deal but more of a safety as truck renters often stand in the open space, which is tight unaware.

I had a fire in my building complex. Didn't know what to do about putting the things I could save away. Didn't have but 150 to store and to find someone to help me at that price.but the people at uhaul was truely a blessing because they gave me 1 month ftee. That gave me hope.thank you sooo much

The foundation of my 10x10 unit CRACKED and covered my property in thick dust and dirt. UHaul HQ gave no compensation at all. Local staff were helpful, did what they could and were always friendly.

Both Guys on 16th st. SW. In Cedar Rapids IA was very helpful, nice and thoughtful, couldn't of gotten it done w/o them.

My storage leaked and ruined a bunch of my belonging. Not impressed and I asked to talk to someone about it and he ignored me and just gave me my parting slip and said have a nice day. Again. Not cool

It's a great place to do with. My ONLY issue was the mice. Make sure you have totes and sealed and covered furniture. They chewed through our things and droppings were everywhere. Beware of MICE!!!

Mialage was totally wrong I was charged for miles I didn't accumulate but the manager did go in and adjust it I'm now wondering if this is an on going situation that happens to other customers.

I would recommend this location to anyone who needs a place to store their belongings. The only thing I don't like is the fact that they could remove a lock for you if you were to loose your keys.

Unit was cleaned out Friday and there were mouse droppings all over the unit and ruined a blanket we had stored.

Office personnel: very friendly and helpful. Unit: very clean. Property/ facility: clean and well kept up. Fencing, gates and many cameras: make me feel this is a safe place to keep my belongings

Overall a very good place. Longer summer hours would be nice. My one complaint is the placement of the exit swipe key box, it can't be accessed from your vehicle. Very secure and well maintained.

To access my unit outside of 7a-7p I would have to pay another $10 for 24hr access. I don't need 24 hour access, but may need access 7p-10p. I also had to pay $11 for a lame round lock per U-Haul.
