This store claims I went 54 miles. I moved and miles should have been between 12 and 15 not 54 miles. There is suspicious and blatant stealing going on . I have used U-Haul several times and never had problems with the mileage. And telling me that I should have taken a picture of the mileage first tells me U-Haul is in on this theft and charging wrong amounts on the bill and I am highly suspicious of the staff being able to use their personal phones to take pictures of our driver's license.

Zero parking available anywhere, everyone just parks in the middle of the lot and blocks traffic. The guy who got my key for me didn't verify anything to ensure it was actually my car, just handed it to me when I said I was picking it up. I hadn't interacted with him at all until this point. Overall seemed extremely unprofessional, very disorganized, and severely understaffed.

We drive up with our moving truck and the gate code won't work. I called the number and no answer. When we meet the person on site she told us that we would need to find it for ourselves and then she said a gate is on the other side of the property. Not very easy to find when you're inside the facility. No labels on how to find it and the buildings are not very clear as the labels. The unit is a 10x10 but it would have helped if there was a map or proper direction and the door is not a roll up. The roll up would have helped a lot and the truck was a mess when I picked it up!

The service was fast and friendly. I am happy to have worked with the person who installed my hitch. However, the guy at the front honestly sucked. He had no customer service skills, making it seem like I was inconveniencing him by just walking in the door and was hard to understand for the few words he did speak. If not for him I would have said "Above Average"

when i set up the reservation the price was $135 then it became $155 at some point. I reserved the trailer for [ick up at a Uhaul location 1 mile from my house i ended up having to to drive 15miles round trio to a different location to get the trailer. When i came back home with the trailer the other location near me had that size trailer in their yard. When i dropped off the trailer in Riverside i had to wait almost 30 mins before we could unhook and then they wanted my receiver off of my truck because i had painted it orange so they thought it was yours. I have rented several U hauls over the years with no problems, this over all experience i would rate as being very poor Greg Walter

I wrote a long email and text message to Jenaffer the general manager at U Haul at 1650 El Camino Ave. in Sacramento. I wrote to her about a very unpleasant exchange I had with one of her employees. Get enough staff to do the job up front in the office exclamation exclamation exclamation. The guy who waited on me was a sniveling complainer and wasn't paying attention to customer service at all! I don't hold him responsible I hold you and the management responsible! According to the fellow who waited on me his " " boss had a bad headache and couldn't come in. Okay that happens but I suspect this wasn't the first time and why doesn't the boss account for this and get more people in there? A lot of customer service training needs to be done. I don't need to hear about the personal problems of the management staff when I go in there. I just want my trailer and good working order and efficiently handled.

Customer representative Dejean was not friendly at all. But the worst part it is safety. When he attached trailer to my truck he did not tightened hitch lock (according to guys who received the equipment) and it was a serious safety issue. It has to be addressed in a very serious manner.

I love keeping everything at U-Haul. Unfortunately I could not afford the $200 a month anymore. I had to move my personal property to another facility for half that price. I also live in Roseville now so I picked a place that is in Roseville, less than a mile away from me.

I wish they would have allowed me to stay I had all the money to pay back fee and everything but they still asked me to settle and move my things out. I am very grateful for that opportunity at the least. It is very annoying that the main number goes to corporate instead of them so it's harder to get ahold of someone who actually works there. But when I wasn't on hard times n had my unit it was ok except the occasional raise in rent that was annoying when I first got the unit 3-4 years ago there were a lot of friendly helpful people. My last visit not so much 2 guys behind the service desk were not eager to help anyone one being the assistant manager. One employee was trying to help me but didn't have access he needed to, I had an appointment with the store manager but she had left when I arrived. Family emergency is what I was told and I understand but a courtesy call would have been nice considering I came all the way from Modesto. I was 10 minutes late and I did try to call but again number goes straight to corporate not the actual store, very frustrating. So I wasn't able to make the manager aware I was just stuck in traffic at a long red light. Once I got there I had to wait 45 minutes before one of guys behind the desk decided to help me. But all n all everything got settled I was able to get what I could that day out of my unit.

My unit was broken into & I was called notified & they resecured the unit. The problems I had were when it came time to move out. I was not notified the forklift was unavailable for the movers to pack and load my ubox. I was told my lease would be closed out yet I was still charged for the unit. How do I get a refund?

The staff was super friendly. There was a lot of things happening outside of their control when I was in, which is understandable. But when service is slow and customers are already irritated it's annoying to see the representatives having a bunch of sidebar conversations. Especially when it's the general manager doing it. I normally don't give honest critiqueas but it was cringey behavior. Other than that, pretty cool staff.

I would not give this storage unit even one star if I could. The customer service has been lacking and uninformative. Additionally, I was told incorrect information, and my unit was sold without just cause. The general manager of this facility will not return my phone calls or my text messages And I've had to obtain an attorney because my unit was sold. Lastly, it appears this office put false information in the system saying on the 17th I came in to pay the payment and it was sold the same day which is complete fabrication. I have witnesses and receipts that this was paid on June 11 and I went in there on June 12 , I have two witnesses that were with me that day and I also have documentation and receipts from U-Haul stating I paid it on 11 June before the auction to say that I'm devastated regarding my belongings being sold is an understatement but the service I am receiving, and the lack of accountability to this office is Atrocious

For nearly a month I have been unable to access my storage unit after it was burglarized last month. No one seems empathetic to my issue. I've spoken to over 10 U-Haul employees and receive different information from each of them yet no one can seem to fix the problem why my unit #3113 is no longer accessible online for payment or in person for me to access my items in the unit!

Everything's was good. Although the elevator broke down before I could finish my move out. I told the staff, he said he would be up to check it when he finished with another customer. He never showed. When I went to the office to close my account with UHaul he never said anything to me except here's you reciept. He was very rude. I'll never rent again with a person like that who works for your company. I've rented uhaul for many years an 1 person being rude, showed me you no longer need my patronage. I'll find another company to rent from when it's time to move again.

Staff & Manager seem to not care at all about customer experience. I was contacted once about changing the lock on my unit. I called 4 times and left 3 messages and multiple emails to get no response from any of the managers. They put another lock on my unit for over a year, because they were afraid I may not pay my rent on time. This limited my access to the unit. I raised an issue with customer support, and they emailed the manager but they did not respond or resolve it. I was forced to go in person to resolve the issue. This experience has forever turned me off from using U-haul services.

Awesome People at Auburn Uhaul. I recommend this location, and gives them 10 ⭐️. They have mobile pickup and drop off that's easily done at your convenience. Moving can be a hassle, let Uhaul help!

Never ever rent a storage space from this business. I ordered everything online because it stated it was available. The unit I wanted was not available! They had to get it ready, I waited for two hours. I had also hired a moving helper for 3 hours at $120 bucks an hour this place took two of those hours. I lost money. Then I was over charged. You have to buy their locks but only the most expensive lock was available, but their inventory stated they had 120 of the inexpensive locks available. My over all experience was horrific and cost me alot of money. Don't get a storage unit from this business.

When you set up your account on line and go into the office to secure it, with a manager. It should not take them an hour and a half to finalize it. On line it states they have available 10 x 10 units BUT they don't. In the meantime I have hired a Moving Helper for 2 hours at $100 per hour. I only got an hour of his time, the other hour was wasted by the Manager at this facility to get my unit ready, I think. It seemed she spent more time on the phone, then taking care of business. Then I had to buy the more expensive lock because she couldn't find the cheaper one, even though her inventory said she had 54 locks their but couldn't find them? Then next day when I came in, they had plenty of standard storage locks on display in the office. I had to come back and get another unit, which I actually reserved online a another 10 x 10. When I arrived of course there are none but on line doesn't say that. Evidently they have their own items in those units, that WHY they are not available to the public. So they give me a 5 x 8 but didn't assign me a unit number, I had to go back again, and I got the unit number, when I got home my husband informs me that is the same unit number as the first one! I called to get it fixed, only to be told that I have to go back to office, customer service can't handle that. I went back was given the unit number. Plus they had to fix my invoice, I purchased a bundle of large boxes and was over charged for the bundle by $15.00. My husband goes to the storage unit, we can't use it, it's to small. I am so frustrated with this storage place, over charging me, costing me money for a Moving Helper that only worked an hour and charging me more for locks I didn't need to buy I had to find another storage place to meet me needs, and wouldn't have had to do that if this storage place correctly let the public know what they had available. Plus now I had two keep my moving truck for two extra days. This is almost $500 dollars extra I had to pay out of my pocket! I would never recommend this Uhaul or storage place to anyone.

The unit I was in and a few others near it was burglarized. We lost valuable belongings including hard-to-price religious image that had been in my family since before I was born. The staff was unclear and not helpful in the filing of police report. Made us think of inside job.

My credit card was compromised so I called U-Haul and the girl took my information over the phone and charged my card. I am on an automatic deduction for every month but on my account the card is not showing. I try to re-add it and no luck!

Kortnie, the manager has been absolutely amazing & has made an arduous situation much easier to accomplish. My storage units have been clean & ready for us when a deadline was required. Dine with grace & kindness. I would recommend patients because they are extremely busy.

This location needs repairs and clean up. Some peeved that caused me to move were; my unit door was missing the insulation rubber around it making it easy for bugs and rodents to enter and there was a persistent wasp nest in the eaves above my unit. Finally when they ended the 24 hour access, which I loved so I put up with the aforementioned inconveniences; I had to leave.

They are a good team, but sadly understaffed. Other customers took their frustrations out on them. It was hard to watch. I will say that when it is your turn the focus is mainly on the customer in front of them with very few interruptions. It just took a while. I enjoyed their personalities.

Had a ball at the store. She was so kind. When I came back to fill the storage unit the manager walked us up and brought down flat beds for use to use. Very nice. I wouldn't blame him for what other do but a daily check of the flat beds would be good. There was a razor blade left it blended in. But it could be a hazard for someone grabbing boxes.

The associates were absolutely wonderful and helped me out regularly during a time of need I was in. My only complaint is that I wouldn't have access to my unit in later hours due to my working hours. But that wasn't something any of the employees controlled.

Not sure if a customers comments make a impact with Corporate. If it does, then please know this; The entire staff at 5220 Auburn UHAUL is an exceptionally wonderful team. They exhibit wonderful customer service skills, each and every time. There are times when the outcome is not to the customers liking. However, it doesn't mean the U-haul representatives did not do everything within their control to remedy a situation. This really should be acknowledged. Corporate really should provide them every tool they would need to be the best U-haul branch they deserve to be. Cooper, Chris and Skylar.....great job gentlemen! Merci.

I decided to use the "first month of storage free" offer after I rented a UHaul truck. To be honest, I figured it wouldn't be free because there would be hidden fees, etc. But when I turned in my key 5 days before the end of the first month, I was not charged. I was surprised and delighted! I needed a short term rental, and this facility was great.

My interaction with one of the customer service agents was not pleasant since he had a quite a bit of an attitude. Just letting you know the truth believe me the others were great except for one. As the saying goes one rotten potato makes the rest rotten. Nip this attitude in the bud and you'll be sweet.

Staff at this store was mostly new and being trained by Chris, a new manager. He was so professional and quick to support his new employees. The staff was friendly and efficient. Everyone was working hard and willing to answer questions. I would definitely come back to this site.

Our unit was broken into during a break-in that involved multiple units and police responding, but nobody alerted us so that we could inventory it. We did not know until we went to the unit days later. Poor service on that part.

The Manager Amado Hernandez was one of the best manager I ever meet in the company. The manager helped and solved our problem faster than I have ever seen and this comes from someone who is in a military family (which means I move around every three years) and I really recommend coming to this building and company, the smiles and the bright attitudes really helped my stressful time... muy agradecida y feliz! Truck left handle was missing. As a result, I fell off truck and scraped up my back. In significant pain to date. UHAUL paperwork shows storage access GATE hours as 5am to 10pm. Rented truck late in day, 2:00pm. Due to return truck and store items by 6:30pm on sat Oct 31,2020. Fell off truck which delayed return of truck and stopped to fill up gas to FULL status. Truck mileage was 56947 at UHAUL, returning mileage @7:42pm was 56953, BUT, we couldn't access the storage gate for entrance. We looked at our paperwork and receipt given to us by office and it states STORAGE ACCESS 5AM to 10PM. This was the deciding factor for closing out my current storage and moving to a closer storage facility. Unable to store my truck filled items in the unit and being told by staff that the area and facility deals with theft of gas and breaking into storage trucks, I drove the truck to my residence and secured it with a lock. I had to go to work at 3:30am Sunday morning and my vehicle was still parked at the UHAUL site, so I paid for a LYFT to take me to the UHAUL facility to pick my vehicle up, so I could go to work and reduce the possibility of theft. Also, I rented a truck earlier in the week for a ground unit that wasn't available. I paid for a truck that I couldn't use. Manager Andrew DID compensate me for this inconvenience. However, October 31, 2020 was a horrible, painful and stressful situation. I have left a storage facility to move to one of your facilities because of proximity and gate access, only to discover at night that the gate hours are no longer 5-10pm as your paperwork suggests. NOT happy.!
