I was charged for 339 miles which was not correct. I did about 150 miles. I have no complaints about the location, but I don't like being overcharged

Luis PHave used this location 5 or 6 times in the 5 years , this time I had reserved 2 bags of moving pads. Day I picked up trailer they were out of pads. Did not end up needing more than I had on hand but culd have made my move very difficult.

The re was no furniture dolly available as promised Only a few blankets I was not quoted the correct mileage rate. The staff and personnel were ok
Ken DThe first 6x12 enclosed trailer had a lighttogether. Light wouldnt work for hazards of blinker. Came to find wires were cut. So I spliced back together. Light came on but still did t work. Took a Light from another unit to test, still same thing. Someone had cut the wires because of an electrical issue and had not been repaired. Thr other out of tlstate trailer was at the back of the row 7 deep, but all the trailers had been pushed back, overlapping every axle onto the hitch behind of nearly every one. Took about an hour to dig out. We helped.
Richard GEverything that could go wrong did. Worst experience of my life. Only saving grace in the whole move were a few individuals that actually were interested in helping and making my move actually happen. Boxes delivered to home with bolts locking them so I couldn't even open them. Just a horrible experience.

Thomas KWe had everything we needed in one place, from all our moving supplies to both of the trucks we rented (one for a short move of our stuff from storage, and the other for the cross -country move). Equipment was ready on time, and in good shape, and staff were very helpful. The only suggestion I'd have concerns online supply orders. When I place an online order and even specify a time when I'll pick it up, I would expect to arrive and have what I ordered pulled from stock and ready to go. Instead, when we arrived to pick up our 5 Shorty Wardrobes, we and a member of the staff spent 10 minutes trying to find what we needed among all the boxes on display (and it took extra time because a couple of them were in the wrong inventory slot, and there were only 3 in one place (folded flat with the hanging bars stacked separately), and 2 were folded differently and and banded together with the bar), but it looked at one point like the wouldn't be enough and we were just one day out from our move. It ended up working out, but it was "iffy" at one point and took more time than it should have for an online order placed days in advance.

robert cI reserved a 26 foot truck a week prior to moving received an email showing me what I rented. When I got to location to pick up the truck they said their system glitched and didn't have The truck I rented so I had to rent smaller truck and make more trips. They acted like it wasn't their fault or their problem. Would not recommend them to anyone! Double check your reservation the day before you get there for pick up.
susan tThe rear gate on the trailer I rented needs to be repaired. No problem with it but made me nervous. I won't accept one with one chain holding the rear gate again. Clean but not well maintained.

When I found out that my belongings exceeded the capacity of the trailer, she immediately reserved another truck for me and got my rental ready for my one way move from Texas to Florida. Great service! The two 26' trucks I rented ran flawlessly!

William TThe rental vehicle I received had a strong cigarette odor lingering inside, with visible ashes in the dashboard, indicating poor cleanliness. Additionally, I encountered recurring issues with the vehicle's locking mechanism, which prevented me from starting the engine. On multiple occasions, the vehicle became locked when I turned off the engine, both at a gas station and at my loading location, wasting a significant amount of my time and disrupting my trip. These issues greatly detracted from the overall rental experience.
Monet SThe "Inspection" section was not friendly at all; I tried to take pictures to download, showing there was concrete dried onto the rear tailgate and frame, I could not get photos sent to comments. Also, the photos of the trailer (5'x9') were not correct; the front of the trailer was NOT pictured at all, and the back was displayed twice!! This is an "attention-to-detail" issue with me, and should be discussed with staff!! Other than that, picking up and dropping off were very easy; staff were friendly and most accommodating. I have used this location lots of times, and want to continue to do so!!

The whole truck reeked of the smell the entire four days I had the rental and I tried everything to get the smell out of the vehicle, but it was impossible, I know it's really hard to get those smells out of cars but if there's things y'all can do before the vehicles go out on a new rental get that smell out it would be very kind for customers.

If they can contact us about late rent, they can contact us about a broken gate. How is it secure if anybody can access it. I asked the front office why it open and the girl said it's only been a few weeks and sometimes they leave the gate open during business hours. It shouldn't be open at all that defeats the purpose of secure.

Units are supposedly 10x10. I moved my items into a Public Storage 10x10 I had excess room after combining the Uhaul storage with another 7,5x5 storage. Dissatisfied is an understatement.

I arrived at the Conroe location and asked for the free storage unit. The manager gave me an attitude and with her tell (eyes looking up and to the right - usually means person is lying) told me "No, that is only if we have available units to give you". I had just arrived from 224 miles of hauling a trailer and had no patience to deal with her, so I just rented a smaller one to unload into.

It was too late at night to be able to unload our truck and turn it in. We had work the next morning making it very inconvenient. I called the 24 hour customer service line, and they were very helpful. They gave me another day on the truck and said they would add a free day onto my storage. It was still very frustrating because we had to get the truck unloaded and have the job completed before going to work on Monday and because of the situation we had to work all day and then go back and unload a truck. This could've been avoided had they checked the storage unit to make sure it was empty and clean before renting it.

The people at the Conroe location were very helpful at resolving what was going to be even more problems because of the reservation team.

However, the clerk was very polite if not forthcoming.

The facility itself, although not bad by no means, is in need of some improvements for sure. There are several newer storage facilities very close by, that are comparable in price, but the staff at this U-Haul is why I chose to store there. The upper management over this location need to take a hard look at what goes on in this area and get caught up with the competition. They also need to know how hard this staff works everyday to meet the needs of the customers they serve and they should be recognized somehow other than a pat on the back. I mean these people bend over backwards to meet the needs of anyone that walks through their doors. If the upper management can not see this and does not do something to makes sure this staff knows you appreciate how hard they work, then you need to find another job........just my two cents. Thank You to the staff at The Conroe U-Haul.

Mike C | Premières impressionsI am giving a below average because of the hoops we had to jump through. I want to stress that staff was great and friendly, however U-haul leaves a lot to be desired. We reserved a 10x10 storage a week in advance. Picked up our trailer, loaded and headed 4 hours to go drop everything off. Upon arrival we find that our storage unit was rented to someone else and we were left holding the bag and trying to come up with a solution. Take note, that we still had to drive home 4 hours! The only option at the Conroe facility was to split it up into 2 10x5 units, in different building no less. Not to mention they were not drive up and we would have to shuttle everything in small loads. This was unacceptable. Thankfully, your employee Jose called around and got ahold of Ashlie at the Spring, TX facility (about 20 miles south). They had a drive up so we headed that way. Calling into Uhaul to change where our trailer was to be dropped off was a horrible experience. The first call, which took over 30 mins to get someone on the phone said she would update it in the system, but that I would be charged a destination change fee. Unacceptable and I told her I refused to pay this as it was a mistake on Uhauls part. She in turn gave me another uhaul number to call, as she couldn't make any changes. So, we jump on another call and wait 30 mins to talk to someone. He informed us that the site would not accept our trailer and I would be subject to a destination change if I left it there. I told him we had spoke to Ashlie and she said she could accept. Anyhow....Jose and Ashlie were great! The rest of the process leaves a lot to be desired! Last thing you want to deal with is unexpected changes after spending a full day loading and driving. This made for a horrible experience and stressful to say the least! Get your stuff together!!!! And give some Kudos to your employees! They are the ones on the front line and have to deal with your mistakes.

Jessica L | Expérience généraleU Haul Storage has performed very well with the recovery of the trailer and storing the damaged contents of the trailer after an accident which totaled my truck and left me with head injuries. The insurance I purchased at the time of the trailer rental has not been acceptable. After two months, I have not received any settlement for the contents of the trailer as specified in the contract which included $5 000 in content coverage. I have moved the contents two times to storage units personally and was informed that the automotive insurance, not the insurance purchased with U-Haul, should cover the contents of the trailer. What good is this insurance if it will ultimately be passed back to my auto insurance? Not Happy With Insurance.

There was a unit 2 down from mine that appeared to have been recently vandalized, and when attempting to call the office to inform them, I was just on hold for an absurd amount of time. None of that really was an issue for me, except for the terrible customer service. The staff was not very friendly and acted as if I was just a burden on them. I actually needed to downsize anyway and chose to relocate to another storage company based on their customer service alone. Merci.
