All of what I ordered was not loaded. I had to send my son-in-law back to the location to pickup wardrobe boxes. I did signup for movers to load my truck through U-Haul. Tim with Best Deal Movers and Cleaners were superb! They were fast and thorough. I'd use them again definitely. Je les recommande fortement.

The pickup process was fine and the manager that processed the paperwork was great. The drop-off was a completely different matter altogether. During the pickup process they said to pull in to the garage and someone would see you and that you should stay with the equipment. In fact they have signs that indicate the same. 10 minutes later another person also dropping off went to go find a u-haul employee. When someone finally came to process the drop-off, everything about his demeanor was that he couldn't be bothered and that somehow we all had ruined his day. He also seemed extremely put upon and exasperated that I opted to pay the service charge in lieu of filling up the fuel tank - so much so that I thought he was going to call the manager over and force me to go to the gas station. I had probably driven a grand total of 6 miles my whole move. It's a shame that an overall great experience was marred by someone that probably shouldn't be an employee but I guess we live in a day and age where employees feel like they are the ones paying for service and people that actual pay for a service and made to feel like second class citizens.

I was looking for a larger vehicle to minimize my mileage and moving time, but I was able to accomplish what I set out to do. Upon Turing in the truck, there was a gentleman there guiding me to place the truck. He was pretty cool and polite. I forgot his name. Anyways kudos to this entire experience.

The Assistant Manager was wonderful! It was our first time using Uhaul trailers & storage. The computers, cameras, & elevator access went down while she was helping us. She continued to find solutions, manage the increasing line of impatient customers & direct questioning staff (including the one stuck up on a storage floor) while maintaining a light-hearted demeanor. Very good experience with this location. I had booked with a smaller location and when that truck wasn't available I asked to go to this main location. So much better! Virgil took good care of me, it was centrally located, the truck was ready. It was even inside a garage so weather less relevant.

Upon arrival in Houston, the gentleman working that day was extremely rude. I asked him where to place the trailer. He told me to back it in. I did not feel comfortable backing in the spot he told me to park it in. then proceeded to talk about my skills of backing the trailer up. I also had to unhook the trailer myself, and it was extremely heavy.

This location is difficult to get to. When you get there it is large and well staffed but getting there is annoying. The biggest problem is that I selected and was guaranteed another location. I was then forced to pick up and drop off here. Even in terrible weather conditions when it was out of the way. Annoying enough that I will no longer be using Uhaul on future rental needs.

I wasn't aware that customers aren't allowed to charge cell phones on the premises. After charging and being witnessed by a housekeeper, I was punished by having my access hours reduced to store hours. This is very unfair and I wasn't informed of the no-charging policy beforehand.

Everything was great except one major issue - the almost total lack of carts to use. I would say 90 % of the time, there were no carts available (I ended up bringing my own every visit, which just took up space in my vehicle). I am not sure it was because people weren't returning them, as I never saw loose ones on the storage floors. And when I went - which was very early in the morning - there was no one else there who could be using carts. There just weren't any carts made available. Major inconvenience.

While office staff were friendly and kind there was only one functioning elevator. Leaving multiple customers to wait over 15 min each time they needed to access the elevator. Making the move in process inconvenient. No carts on site to assist with moving either making it more complicated

The storage facility is definitely better than expected given the downtown location. My main complaint is that the elevator is far too slow. Of a more minor concern is the confusion of what a "10 x 20 x 10" is - two separate 10 x 10 x 10 units. This would have been good to know. Also, instead of indicating that two separate rooms are "5300-01," it would have been easier to understand if they were described as rooms 5300 and 5301.

The Manager Rudy is very snoopy and will go through your locker if you step away for just a minute. Also if you rent more than one storage unit he will start asking you questions and accusing you of suspicious activities. He's the main problem there.

The staff was amazing and very helpful. I don't like the fact that my movers, because I didn't have a U-Haul truck couldn't come in and had to unload from the street which took forever. Also, it took an additional hour to unload all of my stuff and get it to the 3rd floor because there was only one working elevator and 5 other people moving. Have 2 working elevators would've saved me money on my movers that were being paid by the hour. The building was clean but not properly maintained in my opinion for the elevators not fully functioning.

Only suggestion I have because a lot of carts were missing probably I bevause they eere offside or in people's lockers:
Put GPS or air tags on carts and stops on wheels (like at sipermarkets) so Carts can be llocated and not moved off site.

The only issue is the elevators stopped working and I was unable complete move in. This turned out to be an inconvenience for me because I had hired helpers to assist me in the move due to time constraints. Again the issue was not worth staff but either the facility's equipment e.g. elevator. I couldn't take off another day so now I have to get more helpers and an additional day to complete my move.

The young lady who did all my transactions from buying a storage and the next day when I returned the truck was very helpful and had very delightful customer service!!!! You can tell right from the jump she's goes above and beyond for her customers and if it's possible to do something she will do it with no problem and with a smile on her face. It's rare to come across people with customer service as genuine as hers so this was definitely a pleasant experience. And the brief interactions I had with the staff along the way while loading my storage were just as pleasant. I give this location a 10 out of 10 across the board!!!

I wasn't informed about the gate that blocked entrance and exit to the second floor parking. That was inconvenient. I had to ask the lady in the office and discovered that I needed a remote to get in and out. The elevator gave me some trouble? I had to log in and out at least 3 or 4 times. Some young people riding on 3 wheelers were blocking parking to the office and were being disruptive! Not a good idea to let them hang out in the parking area, not professional! Not safe!

Would not let me rent a truck with my temporary drivers license (paper) and I wobt get it until 3 weeks. I need my stuff get moved, they let me down after I pull out all of my stuff in my rented storage to get loaded in the truck. Said it will not push thru in the system. They should consider people with such conditions.

Rudy and Raul went above and beyond customer service expectations by assisting me and my wife with our storage and even letting us drop off a trailer we had with us from Seattle that had to go to another Houston location. I have never experienced this kind of customer service at any other Uhaul location and want to thank both of them for their outstanding professionalism and friendliness.

Everything seems great so far, although there was some broken glass on the floor outside our unit before we moved in and also a little bit of glass on the floor inside our unit.

Facility is new and they close earlier than other storages which is a bit inconvenient but overall everything else was excellent including the best customer service.

Exterior architectural design and colors nice match for downtown. Interior layout spacious, well-lit, not a lot of signs as everything is where you expect it to be. And the manager Virgil is a calm, thoughtful, helpful, all around good guy.
