Customer service was lacking. Nothing was really explained while picking the truck up, and when I dropped it off I was told to just leave the keys on the counter. I was under assumption that local rentals did not go by milage and was a flat fee to rent, only to be charged for 60 miles worth of fees on my final receipt. Your employees need to be more transparent with what all rental fees cover, and any additional charges that will be added on the final bill.

The over-all experience was good. The store had the equipment that I had reserved. The trailer was in good mechanical condition. The only complaint, whoever returned this trailer, did not clean it out. I had to wait for it to be cleaned and inspected before I started my day. With that said, the staff jumped right to getting it cleaned and inspected before I left. The staff apologized feverishly, and they gave me a discount for using my time to clean out the trailer. Would I use this location in the future? YES!! It was not the early crew's fault that the trailer was not clean. They treated me with respect and immediately took care of any issues. I still rate this store #1 in my area.

Drop off was very easy. A team member came to the vehicle and took the keys. They weren't overly friendly, maybe they were shy. They asked me if there was anything wrong with the truck. I asked if I needed to do anything else and he said no. Very efficient, but could use some more enthusiasm.

Everything went perfect except I did not know that there was not a ramp on the 10 ft trucks. So I couldn't move an electric wheelchair that needed moving so I basically wasted my money. But the staff at both haul places were very helpful very friendly and fast with getting me in and out.

I made a reservation online, by using the UHAUL web site. I was in and out in less that fifteen minutes. I would suggest using the website vs. calling or walking in. Have them email your receipts. This saves another few minutes waiting for the receipt . They are a good company to rent equipment from. The equipment is in decent shape and clean. They need a technology boost,, and this store would be in my top "five". The new store manager at this location is really busting his behind to make this store more attractive to potentially new customers. He has a good repour with repeat customers. When you have moving needs, make UHAUL MOVING AND STORAGE IN EAST ALTON, IL., your number one choice. You will not be disappointed. Participating Customer for over 30yrs.

No I would not recommend this spot for any more rentals the person that made my reservation had it off by a month I have witnesses there which will verify that I made the correct date when I turn the truck back in that same gentleman was so rude that I will never go there again the young lady who changed my reservation was very nice and well-rounded

I filled up at Walmart for $45,02 in Godfrey and dropped the vehicle off at your East Alton location which closed ant 7 pm. I dropped off the vehicle at approx. 7:38 pm.. The next morning I found out that it was down 1/4 of a tank, so I was charged an extra $100. Needless to say I was very upset with this news.

There were three workers there and it took two of them to get me a storage unit, neither one of them had ANY idea of what they were doing! Both of them were "winging it"! They were both very nice, and courteous, but they most definitely needed more training! Ended up with two units when they were done, but only needed one! So BE AWARE!!!!

My only problem was access at night. Some people work and only have the night time for business. It would have been nice if I could do things say 8ish-9ish at night. You did good for your security, just having access after 7pm. I would suggest having cameras on all storage facilities that way if anything does happen you have them on film. The people there were great, they have such wonderful personalities and they're really good to people. I would highly recommend their storage facility. Putting uhaul lock on unit along with my lock is extremely inconvenient.....as we have to wait every time for someone to come out to the unit to unlock uhaul lock, and that wait could be up to 10 minutes, especially if there is only one person on duty.....extremely inconvenient.

I really hated not being able to get to my stuff anytime I wanted. I also didn't like having to stop in the office to ask someone to unlock my unit before I could get into it especially when they were busy inside. I understand they had to help the customers who where there first, but if it didn't have the other lock I wouldn't have had to wait. I strongly believe you shouldn't have that lock on the unit, because the contents of the unit belonged to me, and I was paying you to rent the space. I should have had access to it anytime I wanted. That is equivalent to if I had rented a house from you, before I could get in I had to have you unlock it. I also didn't like how quickly UHaul calls the second person on the list when your payment is late. That shouldn't happen unless someone is at the very least 2 months behind. Everything was well lit, clean, and the staff was extremely friendly, and helpful when needed, but I'm on the fence about recommending or reusing for storage again because of the things I didn't like. If this things could be addressed I would reconsider reusing in the future.

Awesome staff!! Nice, helpful, and friendly. Would recommend them to anyone. Only thing is if u have an inside locker, it can only be accessed when the office is open.

While the service rep was friendly enough... He took us out to look at the storage lockers and walked in front of us and while walking to and from her was smoking his vape... It was very unprofessional making customers breath in his vape cloud. I needed a storage facility.... But I wouldn't choose this one again.

I was homeless and slept 1night in my storage ms Allah was especially proffecional but worker called police on me sev times denied me access and wouldn't let me make payments ms Allah let me get my stuff for 100 $thanj you so much god bless you and your famaly

Anytime I was told notes would be put on my account they were not always done. Plus my unit leaked horribly and I lost almost all of the stuff due to water damage.

when my furniture arrived here in Houston Texas my leather furniture was all messed up it had peeled it was badly damaged and I'm very upset about that

They put additional locks on every unit so if you wanted in your unit you had to go to the office and get a key .It's supposed to be 24hr accesses. They close at 8.If you come after 8 you can't get in

THE BLUE LOCK SITUATION WAS A NIGHTMARE. COULD ONLY COME LATE AT NIGHT- WAS NOT EXPLAINED IN THE BEGINING ABOUT IT. THEN TOLD HAD TO PAY EXTRA TO NOT HAVE BLUE LOCK BUT THEY KEPT PUTTING IT ON ANYWAY

Told I have to wait 20 minutes to obtain access to climate control area. Handed me the keys to open myself. I declined did not want responsibility for keys. Clerk waited on others making me wait.
