I rate poor due to customer server at the time I was at location. 3/24/24 at 10ish am. I was in to simply check out an online order. I walk in and there are 2 employee's in at desk. One employee is on the phone and is understandable not able to help. Other employee is avalable. I walk over to employee to get my rental. employee turns me down and tells me to wait for other employee to finish. I was on location waiting for 20 minutes for a symple rental pick up. employee that was not on phone could have helped after noticing that phone call was taking longer then normal.

My best friend and I used uhaul storage for 3 years and for the most part we never had much of an issue outside of a few communication issues. At one point they did have 24 hours access and that was changed with out any notice to the customers which as you can imagine was quite irritating. But about a week or 2 ago. As the unit prices continued to increase, also without notice to customers we made the decision to close out our unit. In the process of doing so we spent 2 days moving our stuff. Well an employee of the facility offered to take the mattress and box spring to the dumpster for us without mentioning that they actually couldn't do that unless we paid $100. So then I almost got charged for that and for a couch when the same employees took the cushins to the dumpster before we dropped off the couch so I was accused of dropping off a couch that wasn't complete and almost charged yet another $100. After speaking to Tracy who lacks every professional and social skill on the planet she said she would speak to the GM and call me back well I never received a call back. Well then there was an issue with us loosing the key to our lock for the unit. We asked for assistance and again Tracy said she couldn't help due to uhaul policy. After finding me personally on Facebook after business hours (stalking) she magically came up with a solution the day of our deadline, a solution that could have been utilized a week prior. We then rented a pickup to move the last few items in our unit somewhere else. Upon return of the truck using the mobile check in option it states to park the truck in the lot not blocking any exits or doors. As I'm finishing up the check in process to return the truck some employee named Lindsay comes out and very rudely tells me I have to move the truck to the "drop off lane" which by doing so then blocked the exit for us to leave when we were done. After very rudley yelling at me from across the parking lot she proceeded to go back inside and sit at the desk doing absolutely nothing playing on her phone. The last week has truly shown me how far down hill this facility has gotten. And until staffing changes or people get better training on how to deal with customers, proper work ethic and general proper social skills we nor anyone we know will be returning. Also the keypad to check in and out needs a new screen. You can't read it to see if you are properly in or out.

The truck was not full of fuel when I left the yard, as indicated it would be. I still took it back full, with my receipt, and explained the situation. The lady at the counter did not argue, apoligized, and promptly began processing a refund for the extra fuel costs. I was very happy with her customer service.

Brant and his staff are great. My only issue was there was sticky stuff all over the middle seat/arm rest when I laid it down and I had to replace wiper blades because the ones dispatched with truck did not clean the glass, just smeared. I just wrote it off as a simple miss, and had no other issues with the staff or truck.

This is my go to store for storage, moving supplies and rental vehicles. The manager Mr. Hunter is superb and always goes above and beyond for customer satisfaction. Plus Ms. Lyndsey is awesome. I waited 30 minutes before anyone even asked me if I needed help. And then the guy didnt seem like he knew what he was doing which added even more time on to the pick up. I rented a tow dolly and the "yard person" didnt even know how it worked or how to even extend the ramps. It was a good thing I did and have pulled a dolly in the past!

filled up w/gas as soon as left the lot. cost $41,63 to fill he showed was full. I've had dealers use a tool dipped in the tank to verify it was full before several times. I mentioned it when I turned it in they said it read full on the gauge and that's all they needed. this has been on my mind for a long time finally decided to tell someone else about this. I will be using rentals a few times in the next few months will have to do some research more about policies of different rentals including storage units also.

The drop off process was more confusing than necessary due to a lack of communication between the staff. The equipment was dropped off early without issues, however, I received a phone call a couple days later stating we had not returned the equipment. The office staff later confirmed the equipment had been returned and it was a mistake made on their end during the return process.

Was told that they were under new management and that things were changing. Employee used curse words to describe the old management. Well I would use the same words to describe the new management and their behavior around customers. I will never give another dime to any Uhaul. Penske is way better for trucks and small businesses are better for storage.

Best UHaul facility I've ever been to. Very easy to access and it had moving carts conveniently located at the front. There is also a big elevator to take your belongings up to the second or third floor. Each storage unit has an alarm so I feel confident knowing my belongings will be safe and secure.

The motion sensor lights are a pain in the rear. If you or someone is not moving in the main hallway while your working inside your unit the lights go off and you have to stop what your doing and walk all the way back to the main hallway just to get the lights to turn back on so you can continue to work for another 20 minutes or so until they turn off again

Finally pulled my camper out of your storage unit after dealing with dead batteries continuously and informing the staff each time it happened which was easily 6-8 times over my stay there. They claimed"oh someone must have just used something that pulls too much power and it popped the breaker…." Total BS. I've talked to multiple other people that has had to deal with the same!! Tired of paying $115/month for a "storage place" that is suppose to have 2hrs of power everyday! I plugged in a small timer that runs when von texted to power. It NEVER moved unless I went inside and complained about not having power. You FALSE ADVERTISE that you will get power each day to draw customers in when in reality you DO NOT GIVE POWER EVERYDAY. Your gate CONSTANTLY went out as well and had to go into the store to have one of the staff memeber walk over and help me in. Then most of the time, they would get upset about it because they were just as tired of doing it as we as customers are with having to deal with it. The snow there was also suppose to be plowed when it snowed. It has had 2 ft drifts throughout the entire driving area this year with it not even being bothered to have the snow removal done. I'm glad I didn't absolutely have to get my camper out when the snow was drifted up that bad. Would NOT have been possible. Customers beware of this storage unit!!

Everything was great accept the lack of snow removal which was from a 9" storm the previous week! A semi tractor was stuck in it. Please get help with the snow or train your people to remove it. Your employees were both very helpful and friendly. The snow thing was the only downside and not everyone has a 4x4 like I do.

I called and expressed my concerns and disappointment in the security of our storage unit. A couple of items were missing from our storage. I could see how someone could climb over the top of the unit and get in. I haven't heard back on the investigation. I did get an email, but it was not very specific. This is why we pulled our items and stored them elsewhere.

Good place to store your camper or to have a storage unit. Alarm is annoying and it seems to go off often, remote to access camper is often not usable, and ice builds up badly in certain spots by campers, but even with these few annoyances it is still a good spot to store as it's covered and has timed electricity to campers.

I was forced to check in and out with the office for no real reason. Besides my car was in the wrong place at the wrong time. When I asked for a reasonable accommodation to call the office to check in rather than walking in die to having severe R.A. I was told my disability is an excuse and I'd be required to come inside. Very rude manager. The rest of the staff members were nice and always made me feel welcome. But the manager is a whole different story. Sensitivity training would be highly recommended.

The Storage unit we reserved ahead of time, the company rented out. We reserved an outdoor unit and ended up having to take an indoor unit. After driving your 26' truck 900 miles and to arrive to the storage facility, just to find out U-Haul doesn't guarantee your reservation, was most disappointing. It cost more time to have to unload a large amount of our things due to having to walk a distance inside, rather then just opening the unit that was outside. It was a major disappointment. If you're reservations are guaranteed, then it truly makes no sense to reserve. We rented A truck, tow tolly, and a storage unit from U-Haul, just to to find out that there is no commitment for the customer.

I set up a reservation online showed it to the kid who was working. He set me up in an outdoor unit when my reservation was for indoor climate control , showed me how to get into the building and when asked where my unit was he just pointed and said I had to punch the number in the pad on the brick. When I went back in after looking closer at my reservation the lady who the helper said that she would get it straightened out and would refund our first month free for the trouble. There is still a charge on my account for the full amount.

I was first given the wrong storage unit number. When I went to the unit, it was locked. I had to wait for 30 minutes for someone to be available to help me. Then they gave me the correct storage unit number, and when I went there it was locked, and the employees were not able to give me access. I asked that they call me when they got it figured out, and I still haven't heard from them (about a day later). The employees are very nice, but the facility is grossly understaffed, and they are not able to keep up with everything. I would never recommend this place.

A very pleasant experience. Very clean, cool, safe. When I come in I was told they had one shed on the 2 nd floor, I said O, no I can't do stairs, she said we have a elevator. That made my day. After the paperwork was done she took me on a tour, making sure that my card works and I knew how to work all the wonderful perks, like the drive in bay, carts to use and how to find my way around. Our 2 Huge screen Tv were stolen, our coffee maker was stolen personal items were stolen! Never ever in my life have I felt so violated! Our lock was still on it when we got there to move out so we Figured it was an employee that had a master Key! We will NEVER recommend Uhaul storage To Anyone! That was Horrible! We can't afford To Buy TVs right now. We are Totally Heartbroken. We put our stuff in Storage, went back about 2 weeks later to put the key rig coffee pot and our last tv in there, we never returned until this weekend to move our stuff into our house. That was So sad, we didn't realize until we packed the last of our stuff in the house, our TVs and remotes were gone and no coffee pot,

Everything was above my expectations except some aspects of the security. I'm not sure how the alarm function worked, but I heard it go off repeatedly (ow) for the time I forgot to card in, for others who didn't bother to card in, and for an employee who was showing someone around the abandoned units. It was a little disconcerting that nothing ever came of this. Again, other than that, everything was above board and the employees strove to make sure I knew of every possible offer and feature to make my experience more convenient.

The 2 ladies last October were more than superior! They went above and beyond helping with my very difficult move. They checked on my safety several times during the day due to the questionable movers. This past year they would inquire about the purchase of my house and would introduce me to new coworkers. Staff was horribly uninformed and slow. Rented me an indoor storage unit when I asked for outdoor storage for 2 Harley Davidson motorcycles. Ended up costing a fortune and had to haul bikes on a trailer for over $200 to get them safely stored. Very very upset.

On a side note, you sent me this message with my name spelled wrong. Every time I called to pay the monthly fee they had a hard time finding my account, a problem which they never solved. When I went in this week to empty the unit, the staff member said she could not find unit 1380 anywhere in their system? I had reserved two storage units well in advance of my trip knowing I had to unload a 26 foot truck once arriving. When I showed up to unload my truck, they did not have storage units to fill my reservation. I had no where to unload my truck. I had to scramble to find storage space. Not a good first impression in arriving to a new city. They did provide 3 UBoxes, but not nearly enough space for the contents of my truck.

It would have been more helpful if the hours ended at 10pm. I don't get off work till 6pm. That made it impossible to get to your facility and look through the boxes for what I needed. I think there are many people that do not get off at 5pm. Your computer billing system needs a serious upgrade.

We have visited the store multiple times as we prepared for our move to get supplies, etc. We really appreciate the opportunity to obtain used boxes when available. We rented a storage space to help manage our move, and the process was quick and efficient. The unit we rented was clean and ready to use immediately. We have found all the staff we have interacted with friendly, professional and eager to help.

I did sign up for auto payments 3 times and it still didn't go thru therefore showing a late payment with charges added (which you easily took off) but was bombarded with e-mails and letters for being late.

Lady running front desk was rude and confusing to speak to. Accused me of lying about my online purchase of a unit and then just gave me a lock without any confirmation of my reservation. Doesn't seem like a safe facility. Said she had zero knowledge of my reservation. Awful service. But I guess my stuff is there now, already paid first month. Hope communication with online orders gets fixed. Poorly executed service by Uhaul.

Your reservation system was down so I paid for a large storage area that ended up not being there, then I couldn't reserve a place, and there were only 2 very small storage areas available , which I could not fit all my stuff in. Staff very empathetic and helpful, but the rest of it was absolutely terrible.

The facility and the staff get an excellent rating from me. The company however as a whole gets a poor rating. You missed out on a large amount from me because of your policy for having customers who reserve moving trucks or trailers long distance. I am telling everyone I know not use your company for rentals.

The staff that waited on me seemed irritated that I was there asking for a 10X10. She tried dismissing me by saying no 10 x 10 available. I told her my husband was on the way with a uhaul 26 footer truck and we need storage. I told her Rapid City made accommodations for us. She reluctantly started helping all the while say, we just don't have the room. Long story short we got 3 5x5. Thank you;

The elevators and hallways are not large enough for some items. I was trying to store a boat (not a large one, but long) and it would not fit in the elevator so it had to be carried up to the third floor. Also when they got up there they had to open someone else's storage unit to get it around a corner.

First of all I want to say that the young lady at the front counter is a the definition of GREAT customer service!!!! She should be teaching everyone how to do what she does everyday!!! The only thing I would change is that the office hours are listed but the storage hours are not.

I reserved a 10×20 storage unit to hold the contents of my home while renovating. After 6 hours of loading a 26 ft uhaul, I arrived at the storage place to retrieve my RESERVED 10×20 unit. I was informed that they don't have 10×20 units (contrary to their website which let me reserve on FROM THEM) and that I'd have to take a 10×15. At 4 p.m. on a Saturday with a 26 ft truck containing my entire life outside, I had no other choice but to take it. Big mistake. After 6 more hours of unloading (to the second floor, no less), I realized that I would have a to find somewhere to unload the remaining contents that would not fit...but would have if the unit was the correct size...at 10 pm on a Saturday night...when the uhual was due back. I am beyond upset.

My credit card was charged twice but I only rented one unit. I went to the office today (Saturday) and the woman at the register kept saying I only have one unit. I showed her the 2 credit card charges from U-Haul on my credit card app. She just stood there and did not know why . Okay - I will take time off from work on Monday to come talk to someone else.

Worst experience. I will never recommend this storage facility to anyone. Hali, the store manager was unavailable and solution oriented. She said she had a death in her family and they were all at the hospital, during covid? Ya ok.

I have been using U-Haul Climate Control Storage Facilities for over 10 years now. I move quite a bit for my job and have always trusted and found U-Haul to be the best facility. The staff at the Cheyenne, WY location was always friendly the facility was always clean! I highly recommend using this facility for your storage needs. They also have a recreational vehicle facility storage at this location.
