the steering was so filthy that it was sticky. took several rounds of washing with various rags & detergents to get it at least somewhat clean. sonny helped me at this location and was great...very nice and efficient!

The outside of truck was not clean, but the inside of the truck was. We never drove a Uhaul from state to state before, the ride was better than we expected it to be on the highway.

Great experience however I didn't receive the correct dolly which I reserved. I feel if I place an item on reserve it should not be a first come first serve item. That's the purpose of putting it on reserve

The trip was horrible I couldn't get over 45 miles and sometimes 20 miles while traveling. What normally takes 12 hours took 23 hours. I was very disappointed on the people that did My trailer Hitch they didn't know what they were doing and I had to wait almost an hour for someone to come and then another half hour to have someone help. Asked questions but no instructions.

Israel and veronica are the best. They are always nice and very professional. They have an excellent customer's relation. I rent van from that branch every Tuesdays and Saturdays for the past 2years it makes me happy whenever I see them on the table to attend to me. Upon arrival there was no one in office. Waited around 5 minutes. Left tried to find another to rent product. Could not locate one close enough, had to return. There was someone in office this time. Porter was helpful and polite. there was no hands on explanation on use of car tow dolly. We figured out how to use. Ratchet strap releases did not function properly, had to use screwdriver in order to pull straps out. Use instructions received by email explanation after product was mostly illegible. This email was received after product was returned. Hands on instructions at time of rental would have been better. I will find another location if the need arises again.

I had a terrible experience , they changed my location to pick up the truck which made me use more miles then for a rental 19,95 truck, they drafted my card twice. I paid over $130 dollars, I'm pissed never again, I will just pay someone. Rip off.

This was my 3rd location before I could get a truck. Also, the truck I received was only a 20" foot truck and I originally ordered a 26" foot truck. Using the 20" foot truck caused me 2 trips to move and 4 extra hours. Plus I was charged 80 extra miles as I had to do 2 trips which was Uhauls fault. Tell me why I should ever use or recommend UHaul to anyone??

I paid for insurance coverage for 2 days when I only needed the truck for 1 day. AND what is this about the *top* of the truck not being covered by insurance? What is insurance for?!

tow dolly sway bar was cracked/broken, roadside asst experience was horrible, we were told it'd be a 3 hr ETA…this was at 730pm..1015pm we were told tow company told RA they wouldn't be coming after all…fortunately, Lubbock u-haul gave us a courtesy exchange first thing in the morning and we were able to keep our schedule and get back on the road. Would've thought Garland store would've reached out for this information and prorate the rental or some other sort compensation though

Contract canceled and uhaul help vender I chose was unreliable. Cost me a days travel and an extra day loading. DISASTER. Avoid Two Angels movers. Their guys were very good once they arrived.

The 26 footer truck I rented was worst truck I have ever rented! It's was falling apart super loud, and the transmission gears took a long time to shift… I rent from this location a lot.. and I will rent from a different rental truck company… super bad experience!!!

In the beginning I was forced to choose a locker on second floor using stairs after securing a street level locker one week before move in. I secured a 17 ft truck one month earlier and one week checkup with facility and move out day was given with out warning a 15 ft truck which caused me an etra trip paying two men 125 ea and hr wage. Which caused me an extra 250. In cost. I was lied to. And I was not professionally handled and forced to use a locker on second floor wit an elevator hard to use and broke down making moving much harder. I do believe this manager forced me on purpose to use that second floor locker. There is other suspicious information I would like to explain but too much to add here.!!! Clarence R Powell

I paid for climate control & my things were messed up & there was bugs in our clothes. The Uhaul had no AC. I had spent well over $1000 moving with them. I don't think I can ever do that again. They did not even refund me any of my money back either.

Only issue I had was when I went to inform the cashier on shift at the moment. I went in to inform them that I was planning on terminating my storage by Feb 18. She ended up cancelling the storage the same day I went Jan 27. So I had to unfortunately take everything out.

Would have given 5 stars but the long line wait time from short staff is why. Other than that, the staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and relatable. They offset the wait time with awesome customer service. Even with apparent shortcomings, the staff still gives their best forward. The location is in a busy traffic area, so it is best to do online reservations to lessen the wait. Sonny at the Garland, Tx location is great. He is always very professional and helpful. When I was flying between the 2 States I would sometimes forget my access card/key and he was always very helpful assisting me with access.

Took the man in front of me more than half an hour to rent his trailer and in the end his paperwork still wasn't right. When staff came in and told the employee it was a problem she replied she would not fix it and to get someone else. I reserved my unit online but still had to spend 15 minutes with the employee and do it all over again. I was only able to get mine done properly because the manager finally came in to fix the female employee's previous problem she refused to fix. PLEASE TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES BETTER. All of the staff outside were polite, friendly, and helpful. Inside was just the one woman who barely knew what she was doing. When I left there were at least 3 people waiting behind me. If Sunday is busy please staff the counter better or at least with someone competent. Worst experience renting a unit I've ever had at any facility. Will not ever rent here again when my free month is up.

I tried to cancel my unit since I evacuated my unit many times, including requests with regard to my missing items but the uhaul would not facilitate the process. They refused to follow up for months and I had to file disputes and call corporate number many times which also proved to be problematic.

The only problem was the elevator was not working almost the whole time I had a unit there but overall the staff and the price were really good. Also when I got locked out after hours the Manager came to let me in .

Hate them. I rented a TRUCK ONLY for my brother back in 2018. Upon returning the truck my brother needed a rental and their lazy employee decided to put a rental unit in my name WITHOUT MY PERMISSION and then has been harassing me four 3 years about a unit I DID NOT RENT NOR HAVE ANY ITEMS IN SAID FACILITY. I have told them this on several occasions, even talked to their manager there as well but yet they still continued to harass me for payment. This ridiculous and a lazy employee that didn't want to do their job and change all the information over and it has caused me nothing but headaches over the last few years.

My 10 x 10 storage unit was on the 2nd floor. I stored furniture and some larger items in it while our new house was being finished. When I went to remove the items, the freight elevator was out of service ... and it had been like that for over one month. Therefore, we had to take all of those items down two flights of stairs ... that should not have happened if they fixed the elevator soon after it broke down. I would not advice anyone to store items above the ground floor.

U-Haul has always been very friendly, helpful and overall customer service has been attentive to their customers. We had a misunderstanding but the employees on the phone and at this place, went the extra mile to help us out. If we need to in the future, we definitely go back to rent from this place. The facility itself was fine but the staff at the facility is what brings the score down, except one grey haired gentleman who had owner on his badge and he is not the owner listed on the website. But, the owner on the website was just as rude as any employee there. When I went to access the unit, my access card was no longer valid and, an extra lock was on the unit. I was told it was because I did not use an approved lock style. Well, it seems my lock was working just fine because no one broke into my unit. And, what was really funny, the people who were locked out for non-payment had the same style lock I had on mine. So, I guess my lock did do the job correctly. Basically, they wanted me to buy a lock from them and since I did not I was locked out of my own unit. What really made the experience even better was, the manager/owner had to break into the lock he had put on my unit because they had lost the key. It took him all of 3 min, once he had all the tools and such with him, to get into my unit. How secure was this lock? I know my combination so it only took me 15 seconds and no tools. To wrap it up, I paid my bill on time. Had my unit locked with a solid lock and, was locked out of my unit electronically and with an "approved" lock. Basically, I don't plan on using U-Haul storage units any longer. I paid my bill on-time each and every quarter and left the unit in the shape it was when I first rented it over 2 years ago. I moved to another facility which was lower priced, larger, easier to access and, has friendly staff. Also our move was made difficult because someone had put a couch into the middle of the hallway and no one had moved it in over 2 weeks. I bet the couch is still sitting there as of this writing 4 days after moving out.

Richard was very helpful and Informative and made me feel like my stuff was safe and secure at this facility. I would definitely recommend them as well as use them again if I needed to.
