The staff behind the desk and outside were very nice. Kind of in an old school way. Robbie remembered my husband from the last time we rented a trailer. I don't rent often, so I would not know what to improve, except it's a bit tight getting around the parking lot and no room for customer parking close to the door and I think that is due to the amount of inventory on the lot. It takes up everything and down the street. You certainly don't want for anything at this location.

The alignment was off for the truck which we didn't notice until it was fully packed and we were on the freeway. The truck pulled to the right the right so much that I had to turn the wheel to 11 o'clock to go straight. Also, every bump resulted in cruise control turning off and the traction control loss light turned on and the ABS light and sometimes the a check brake system light which required us to pull off, turn the truck off, wait, then finally turn the truck back on and drive a few minutes for the lights to go off and we were able to finally use cruise control again. This happened at least 10 times and would have been more if I didn't care stopping a million more times. Driving over 2500 miles without cruise control most of the way sucks and the safety of the vehicle is questionable at best, especially with the brake messages and traction control loss signals. Not only did this vehicle have mechanical and electrical issues, the driver side cup holder no longer holds cups because of a broken spring and we found out by a drink falling and spilling all over my feet. It would have been more worth it to pay someone else to move it than deal with the issues in this rental. I feel like someone did not do their due diligence to ensure the vehicle was well maintained.

Moving can be very stressful and I imagine so many people that utilize uhaul services can be difficult customers because of that. I was having a really hard day when I got my uhaul and Shay at the Garner location uhaul was so kind and empathetic to me. I really appreciated her help but moreso really appreciated her for the way she treats people she interacts with.

Unit to small. Unable to move in

I had my unit for 6 months and I paid after the 16th of the month SEVERAL times. On 2/16, I went to clean out the unit and remove the rest of my belongings, and they were missing and the unit was cleaned out. I went to the office and they swore that they didn't enter my unit. Immediately after leaving the property, I received a receipt for a "lock cut fee" and a "clean out " fee. Although they told me , they never entered my unit. So they illegally entered my unit, removed my belongings ( which was work equipment that belonged to the State and I am now financially responsible for.) I always dreaded coming into this location because everyone there is extremely unprofessional and made me feel as if I was bothering them AT THEIR JOB. On top of all that, my U-Haul account has been completely wiped. I went to retrieve my receipts to show my payments after the 16th, and I was not able to locate anything. I have reported all of this to corporate and I just hope that they are not as crooked as this location and something is done about this.

Customer service was not the best after spending money to use your service had to spend more money and to be charged for using a dolly was very ridiculous. Everything was a charge and was so unreasonable.. I assure you that this will be the last time I will use this service

WS charged for a month after I cleaned out the unit & informed the staff I was out the evening before my billing cycle was to start. Feb 7th. It's impossible to go up there and complain because you have to wait 45 minutes to talk to someone who just takes your phone number because your people are understaffed. It was not a good experience.

The staff were rude. My storage was supposed to come with a lock, but when I arrived there was no lock in the storage. The storage itself was fine. There was something spilled in the back corner but other than that it was good. The move out process was simply and quick.

I spent almost 2 hours at Uhaul because no one knew how to fix a reservation for a UBox. The staff at facility tried and could not do it. They called UBox who could not do it and said call Traffic. We called Traffic they couldn't do it and said call UBox. The problem started when reservation was made it was made incorrectly and so screwed up it was unable to be fixed. Very frustrating for me and the employees that no one who is supposed to help is capable of helping.

I enjoyed working with staff while my vehicle was stored at this facility 2018-2023. With only a couple of instances that the gate did not operate properly, I was very happy with the service. No instances of brake-ins or damage to my property at all. I would have appreciated a fresh level of gravel on the lot because some areas are uneven and standing water when it rains.

The storage is absolutely neat & easy to access! I love all of the instructions being placed at the site concerning arming & disarming your room. Safety is definitely ensured here! Only complaint is that I did not receive the free lock that was supposed to come with my unit, but luckily I had a spare.

We found droppings of rodentsin our chester drawers. We also saw ants and spider webs in storage. Installation was falling from top of ceiling. The storage was never exterminated from May2013 to December 2013 while rented.

Shae (sp?) Is a complete Rockstar. She is kind, and so helpful on a day I was particularly stressed. She showed humanity and grace and is honestly a huge asset to this location. If I can give this specific location a zero stars, I most certainly would do that! I didn't have issues until after the fact, of returning Uhaul truck, and returning keys. Long story short, I returned my Uhaul truck and keys to a lady name SHAY at the front. After doing so, I kept getting notifications from my bank stating Uhaul is trying to take money out for the storage I had. MIND YOU: keys for storage unit was returned same day the Uhaul truck was returned. Keys were returned to SHAY personally. (all the cameras in the store is my witness) I kept contacting them about this issue and PRECIOUS, which is suppose to be the store "manager" seem to not comprehend with what I was telling her. Spoke with SHAY over the phone about this matter, and I was disrespectfully hung up on. She really act like she couldn't hear me over the phone. Pulling up to the store was the next best thing since nobody can comprehend, and clearly didn't understand my English lol. Pulled up and SHAY was present (on the phone at that) waited patiently for her to get off, told her my issue for the 500th time, and she stated that she was getting her manager to handle it. Now you're getting your manager to handle it but yet, I'm still getting emails from Uhaul as if the storage unit was not paid. Yeah ok. She mentioned that she was going to take the card on file off autopay. That should've BEEN done the moment we returned those keys to you. Till this day, I'm still getting emails as if I didn't return the keys in hand to SHAY & it's been 2 months. I will definitely be avoiding this specific store and would recommend anybody else too also. Should have listened to the other bad reviews they have. All in all, the manager isn't managing, and the other associates are unprofessional (Shay) and just give ghetto. ZERO STARS!

The one and only absolute person that was the most helpful & informative was Precious. Everyone's attitude is terrible. They all have different information (some of it made up). They need to be trained in customer service. I've been dealing with the nonsense at this location for over a year. Precious, keep standing out & keep up the good work!

Between renting a truck through U-Haul and being stuck on the side of the road for over 2 hours. Then to arriving at the storage facility being told nasty there was no room for us and we could not leave the auto transport there even though on my contact it stated that. Then to finding out we had 2 storage units at the end when we crammed everything in one unit. We had broken dishes as well as being overcharged. It has been a disaster using U-Haul and the U-Haul on Mechanical Blvd in Garner was the worst. The employees were rude nasty did not communicate for nothing. So I would never recommend U-Haul to anyone. We were very disappointed we did a big move coming from NJ to NC and it was an issue from start to finish. Even after I checked out of the storage unit they still tried to charge my card for August payment when we moved out in July. It is awful.

I wish the cost was lower, as there are other storage options in Garner for half the cost and I know they may not be as nice, but for boat storage I just need secure over nice. The gm has been fantastic to work with.

My unit was moved to another with out my knowledge, things were missing from my unit .. then they charged me an extra $100 to remove a couch from the green area when it says we can share things we don't want there . They also took extra money from our uhaul rental.

I received a call today about a unit being drilled off which was strange. One I have a key . Two..they have a key and cameras... Half of my unit was damaged due to water...precouis was great to work with in this manner. the least they could have done was investigate before calling me. I hope they have gotten down ti the issue.

The staff at this location was awful nasty, rude. There were no signs on the sliding doors to self storage saying the sliding door closes at 5. We moved from New Jersey and got down late because U-Haul had us stuck on the side of the road for 2,5 hours got to the storage u it late. I called the after hours number and the girl that answered was rude and nasty and said do what you have to do. Did not have any compassion or show any customer service. The entire U-Haul experience has been a nightmare from start to finish. I don't even want to leave my stuff in self storage.

I rented one 13X15 unit but was given two smaller units that had small doors. There wasn't enough room for all of my stuff that fit perfectly in the unit I rented in Boone with room to spare so clearly the two small rooms do not equal 13x15. The worst thing about the move-in though was the fact that you only have three very small carts for the whole facility for people to use when there were a lot of people trying to move in that day. What should have taken us an hour and a half to unload took all day because we had to wait for one of those carts. You need to provide large carts (3'x6') and a lot of them. You need at least 20 to 30 carts for that size facility. Do better U-Haul! We know you can afford to buy and provide those carts! Also, deal with the humidity in that facility. I would not call that climate controlled when I have to worry about my stuff getting wet and growing mold in that humidity. I will wait until after I move out to post my Google Guide review. I want to see the condition of my stuff first and see if the humidity does damage anything.

The only instructions I received was "here is your PIN number enter it and you can access your unit". It did not tell me there was a different location for the climate controlled units. Once I finally found it, there were three keypads and no signage saying you have to sign into a specific one first before entering your PIN into a secondary pin pad.

The move out was not convenient, you had only one flat bed cart available, went on all floors looking for carts to use none founded! We waited two hours on that one cart but had to do something else the person was still using it to move out. We spent 5 hrs moving out of 1028 on 5-21-23. The move out was not good !!

The Supervisor (Precious) was helpful and kind in making sure I got the correct storage unit size for my move. The other staff was also very friendly and helpful even through a very busy day that they had as they worked to serve each customer in line with great hospitality. One of the staff was so kind to walk out my bundle of large boxes to my car after I was serviced at the counter by Precious. I would recommend this location to anyone. Make sure the representative does accurate reading of gas when renting out your trucks. I got charged $28 for gas because the young man said that I did not bring it back on what it was on when rented which was incorrect. . I took a photo of the gas reading at time of rental and currently have the photo although I didn't think about it at the time. I totally disagree with the charge and will dispute it with headquarters.

Although, I know you only provide a system platform for the moving helper companies, worker SAFETY is paramount. It is critical that the company ensures workers have the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when lifting items, i.e. steel toe shoes, back brace when required.... (Crocs do not provide the necessary foot protection if an item were to be dropped). Several hours late (We Haul Movers). Would not use them again or recommend them to others.

I called this location for a trailer hitch install, because I have had one installed here before. I called on March 2, 2023, hitch was a special order and would take 7-10 days for it to be delivered. The installation date was set for March 20th at 7:00am. Was told they couldn't install the wire harness because they didn't have anyone trained to do that. Was told the hitch and install of hitch would be $184,95 and was sent a receipt confirming this. On March 20th, I arrived at 7:00am at this location, only to be told by the same person I talked to when I ordered the hitch, that they haven't had a trailer hitch installer since May of last year. Not sure why I was lied to about this!, They did have my hitch, so I did purchase it! I called a different U Haul location, and they were able to install it yesterday, and was over all pleased that it was! While waiting for the hitch to be installed, I saw a text, sent at 7:07 ( while I was at the location where there are no installers for hitches) that my trailer hitch install was scheduled for 8:30! Please tell this location, to tell people upfront, that they do not have anyone who can install a trailer hitch, or find someone who can install trailer hitches! I've been going to this location for almost 30 years, but not sure if I will continue going back! Overall, I'm happy I got my trailer hitch installed, I just cost me several hours do do so, where I had other things planned to do that I had to postpone.

This was not my original drop. The text sent me to a place that didn't exist. I called a place 1 mile from where I was and there were rude and refused to accept it. I I found another place and stopped. Same thing, rude and refused to accept. luckily found the store where I ended up dropping after driving around for 20 minutes.

Rented a 5x8 trailer last weekend. Trailer came unhitched within 1/4 mile of U-Haul. Your tech did not tighten the hitch enough, at all. If I wasn't late to an event, I would have called the store, i was lucky that I took the side street away from U-Haul, otherwise there would have been an accident. Lucky the chains held. We will not be doing any more business with this location, due to this carelessness.

So I've rented from U-Haul a couple of times. I've had decent experiences I guess. This last time I picked up a 26 ft box truck and I noticed there was a very small amount of gravel and I guess just stuff that your shoe may pick up from outside, on the inside by where the driver and passenger side are, I also noticed a few leaves in the back when I did my walk around check and was checking the inside of the back. I didn't think that stuff was a huge deal but I guess I was wrong, I brought the truck back exactly how I got it. Next thing you know I'm being charged for those things. No one else and no items were put in the passenger side. I do not know why I was charged a cleaning fee. I figured that the amount of "debris" was so small that I didn't have to dispute anything when I did my walk around. I was wrong and charged a cleaning fee. Not happy at all with the interaction with the workers at this location but it's fine, I will not be using U-Haul again.

The truck was in bad shape. It needed- Struts Tie rods ball joints Exhaust Manifold- passenger side How could you guys even release this to the public with these issues? I got a glorious 4mpg with this truck- empty. 150 miles driven and $60 in gas.

4 days of having my things in storage I got robbed I know it was the workers there because I found cleaning material from the facility in my unit there was rats and mice all in my boxes dead and in my clothes there were no cameras and it's not well lit at all my things have mold on them this was the worst facility I ever used

I was treated like a criminal and denied service because I used a swear word. I have been a client of uhaul for years and have an account she could have accessed I HAVE a storage unit at that faculty…. I drove equipment across this country to get to that facility and even so She chose to go with the " empowered employee" stance. I will never use uhaul again and will be sharing my story and recommendations to look elsewhere with everyone I meet I had never felt more " racism"directed at me than I did yesterday.

All staff were very helpful both checking in and out. The lady that checked my storage unit as we checked out even found the metal bed rails that kind of blended into the frame of the room and I didn't see them. Thank goodness for her. Checked me out of contract without even having to go in office. She was cleaning at the time we got done emptying the unit. I asked her what I needed to do and she took care of it right then and there. Great service.

great staff, nice facility, would rate 5 stars if there were carts available in the indoor facility. On move in and move out there was only one cart in the building and staff couldn't provide another. It was already in use when we moved out so we didn't have any cart to work with. Staff told us "there are three carts" but if that's true then two are locked into other units. This made the experience terrible due to needing to take many trips where a simple flat cart would have taken only a few.

Do not make a reservation on line for a storage unit and expect them to have one when you arrive. I reserved weeks in advance. We arrived after a very long day of packing and driving. On arrival they told us they did not have a storage unit as stated on my reservation email. Two different employees claimed that a reservation does not mean they will have a unit when you show up. We walk into the facility to look at the small closet they have available and see other large units empty and ready for rent. And they closed for the day. A refund was provided. Large portion of vehicles being stored extremely run down. Few spots had more equipment than would fit resulting in unsafe and in the way overhang. Vehicles just parked in driving lanes rather than actual spots almost like an overflow lot. Electrical outlet would trip the GFCI constantly making it unusable. For over 1/2 our rental period the keyless fob was unavailable. Needed to pay extra for 24 hour access even though it's listed as included in sinage. Monthly fee has increased twice in 1,5 years with no added benefits. Overall, this location has been poorly managed and I've been trying to find another place to store my RV almost since I moved in. I'm paying much more for a different site but it's got reliable 30 AMP electric, the spaces are properly divided and they keep up on overhang and make sure access in and out is guaranteed. Gates access is also 24 hr included.

On 8/13/22 i came into the Garner store on Mechanical blvd., the individual who greeted me was very nice and was able to assist in renting 3 10x15 storage buildings after roughly an hour i checked out @ 10:29am thinking i had 3 10x15 storage areas, at 5:51pm on 8/13/22 i received a message stating that i needed to call the Garner location, i returned the call and was informed that the individual that helped me earlier made a mistake and i no longer had 3 storage areas but only had one, i asked the individual on the phone if she could hold the other 2 10x15 storage sheds until i could get their the morning of 8/16/22 to resolve, i was informed that they could not do this, I then asked to be transferred to a manager, the assistant manager got on the phone and proceeded to tell me that the individual who assisted me was wrong and that the other two buildings i rented were already rented out and that they were not even 10x15, I was also told by this individual that they had only been in their position a couple weeks and that they all needed more training... Question i have for all at U-haul is how do i have paperwork showing 3 10x15 storage units, why was i not shown these units like i have always been in the past with U-haul, if a U-haul employee makes an error how and why does this then become a paying customers problem, I must say i am very disappointed in how the error was handled.

The only reason this U-Haul location is still profiting is because of demand. This specific location is under poor management, turnover is crazy here, and NOT ONE employee likes their job. The manager intentionally disconnected the phone (hung up on me) after calling me at 6 am and I told her I didn't know where the rental key was. (My husband did the drop off). I stored my items here for quite some time and every time I came in it seemed like every employee was so unhappy to be there. Some were even just as rude as the manager. I would not recommend this location at all. The only reason that I did rent with them is because of the size unit available and convenience of proximity.

I reserved a unit a month in advance outside ground level I got there they gave away my reservation they put me on the second floor inside the building and charge me more not happy at all. So now when my first payment is due the lady left a note. to see if they will deduct that $20 fee I doubt it though so I lose

The staff has been friendly in the past, but I've had SO MANY small issues that seem like mountains to correct on the business's end. First I was assigned a unit that was already in use. That took 30-45 minutes to sort out and correct. I asked and was told more than 3 times that there would be a lock in the unit. (Both times I was assigned a unit.) When I finally accessed my correct and available unit, there was NO LOCK. Now I have been on hold for almost 20 minutes, waiting to confirm that a lock will be readily available for me today, 2 days after my reservation start date. To add insult to injury, I received this link to "Rate us please!" before I had been helped/while still on hold. The lady that finally answered was rude and unhelpful.

I AM NOT MOVING OUT - - Within 3 days of moving In in December '21, I have been continually receiving emails and phone calls asking if I'm still using the unit, and that continued for the first 2 weeks until I yelled and screamed...now 3 months later it has started again, saying "sorry to see you go" - - WHAT??? I am still using this unit and you are taking $$$ automatically from my CC Company. I can never get a straight answer from anyone as to why this keeps happening. I'm told that the person sending the emails "cannot be found" and no one at the Garner Facility EVER answers the phone. Even this comment, right next to it says that I am "moving out". Again, I am NOT moving out so please stop making me crazy. I have visited this unit weekly to add more items, and when I go this week to find my unit empty - - we will be going to court, as I have every month of paid receipts. Also - - clean up the Roach problem - please.

She was EXTREMELY helpful and patient and made what was a very stressful and tiring day for me go as smooth as possible. She represented your facility and U-HAUL Co. extremely well! was assigned a storeroom on second floor of a rather large building. The room was in the opposite corner from the single entrance. Much too far away from entrance and single elevator that had to be shared with other tenants. Whose brilliant idea was it to put a 10 by 15 on the second floor hundreds of feet from elevator?!There were several people using the elevator. it would have taken us hours to unload, wait for elevator and get to unit and unload. The elevator cannot be locked out so we would have to load and unload one small cart at a time. Extremely poor design and planning on U hauls part. We abandoned the unit and went to a place with drive up access and had to pay. Free month was worthless.

Door code didn't work. Others were complaining too. We wanted a drive up space but none available. We were given a second floor space much too far to move our stuff and this rather large building has only one elevator that would have to be shared or have to wait on it . No way to lock it out to load or unload. . Indoor storage gets an D- from us. We didn't use the free month and went to a place where they had drive up and gladly paid.

Shaquana (Front Desk) was very rude and unprofessional. She commented, "First of all... we have a million customers..." Her attitude was very unbecoming of the stellar U-Haul customer service I've become accustomed to, as a 15+ year patron. However , Jasmine (GM) was nicer, more professional, and accommodating.

I would recommend the storage facility but not the truck rental. I rented a truck 2 times once they didn't have the truck I reserved & the 2nd time they charged me for a 2 day rental & I only rented the truck for 1 still waiting for my refund 12 days later they said another 7 days for my refund. I would go out if my way not to rent a truck from here

Rented a covered outside storage spot,got confirmation notice, arrived to park my trailer and there was a non moveable car in my spot. All other spots were full, had to park along the drive with no cover.they told me they were going to have the car towed, never happened. Came and got my trailer 1 week early went in and told them I was picking it up and that I was done with my rental. Just recently received a letter stating that I was late on making my payment for the next month and if I did not pay,with a late fee, that it would be sent to collections! Called uhaul explained the situation and she told me it would be canceled and she would send me a email confirming the cancelation. Have not received a email as of yet! By the way I told them when I reserved the spot it was only for 1 month.

I have bought four units at this facility. I just checked out of two of them due to i was able to condense my items into the remaining two to save some money. When i was checking out i was informed and noticed a complete change in attitude and management was taking place so it looks like things are moving in the right direction. However, this wasnt the case when i moved in around October of 2021. I was told things were really bad by the new personal, due to management issues and i understand things can be hectic but i believe there is a common ground that all personnel should be expected to adhere too in the absence of a General Manager. What i witnessed and went through should not happen anywhere. Im a returning customer with U Haul and every place seems to be the same and i can count on how things are ran and up till this facility things have been spot on. At first i thought it might of been an associated storage using the uhaul name and having "their own way of doing things" but no this was a full blown Uhaul store. From reserving to actually paying for my unit ahead of time so i knew it was there for me as i was making a long distance move in a 26ft truck i needed everything to work in my favor and expected it after dealing with uhaul before. After driving long hours I walked in and they said my unit wasnt available. Which i thought was odd since they said they "put eyes on it" not only did we reserve the unit weeks ago we paided for it to be there to permanently lock the storage as we knew availability was limited.. after and hour of waiting and witnessing how lazy everyone was. They got it figured out. I also bought an outdoor storage that wasnt even available due to the "previous manager using it for personal things" and you guessed it... it was the only one of the size I needed available.. which is why we needed the extra two I just checked out of.. I also saw why i was on hold for so long when i called months before. They answer the call put it on hold and let it sit, going back to their cell phones... with nobody even in the store to assist.. Lazy and unprofessional at its best. The storage facility was poorly kept as well. We bought 24hr access to help ourselves.. The dock lights were off all night long, bathrooms not stocked with toilet paper,towels or even soap.. hot water at the sink was pure cold even after letting it run! Best part was they would lock the lock the sliding automatic door 30 minutes before closing, with a key lock stating "homeless people get in". Then when they would open the next day the slding door was still locked until about noon to 1 o'clock in the afternoon. So everyone who pulled up during the day would have to use the mandoor only! I witnessed nothing of the homeless sort as i worked through the night and rested their briefly and worked through the next day. Always kept to myself and was never in anyones way. If the security would be working as it should then even after hours, my 24 hr access should of gotten me into the building through either the man door or sliding door as ive experienced before. Not to mention the person who unlocked the door acted so rudely and bothered like we were "inconveniencing them". The whole facility was very shady to say the least. I hope the new management and new faces behind the workings get it back up to standards. This facility needs it and from what ive seen in the amount of Red access denied tags. They are sitting on a gold mine of late fees. Please reach out if more details are needed.

Shequeena and Ryan were super helpful even after I had to get a bigger room after I got started unloading. Had a minor incident with another customer who couldn't get in and was yelling at me to let him in. I did not said I couldn't and he started screaming at me. Ryan came to the building to straighten his code out and he was still yelling at me. I asked Ryan to stay until he went in and he graciously did. I was by myself and an older woman. He also explained to the yelling person that I did right not letting him in. They were just great.

I checked in online, got my rental unit with access code. The website said a lock would be in the unit when I arrived. When I arrived, the access code did not work, so I checked in at the front. When I got to my rental unit, there was a lock on the unit as it had already been rented by someone else. The staff was very helpful getting this fixed, but I was almost there after closing. What if no one was there? Move in would have been a disaster.

This was the most unprofessional customer service experience I have had in a while. I checked in online but still had to wait 25 minutes in the store. I also reserved a storage unit. I was given FOUR different units until I was finally given one that wasn't ALREADY occupied. How can you manage a storage facility but don't keep an accurate list of what's occupied and what's open? I made FOUR TRIPS from the storage area to the office because every unit I was given was occupied. The truck I rented transmission was slipping so bad I thought I was going to breakdown. The older white lady with the short hair , who I think was the Manger was more concerned with smoking cigarettes instead of assisting the ONE employee who was trying her best to accommodate a full lobby. This young lady was a new hire and was placed in the most horrible position. I usual go to the hwy 64 location on New Bern Ave. They are OUTSTANDING!! Professional, friendly and helpful. After my one month of free storage is up, I will NEVER come to this location EVER AGAIN.

Everything was great except for getting staff to make sure all access doors were available to customers during business hours. There have been entirely too many instances where staff failed to insure that all access doors were available for customers to use. The worst situation for me in particular was not having the main (sliding door) available for more than 3 and a half hours of storage use. VERY UNSATISFACORY!!! The staff had been notified at the very beginning of this ordeal. VERY BAD BUSINESS!!!

This place is the worst. lighting and cameras do not function. I had everything stolen right under their noses... and they just shrug their shoulders. It is impossible to communicate with them as all emails are no reply. They never answer the phone... on hold in cycle for hours (literally). And... if you show up on their doorstep there is NEVER anyone there who can access accounts or help in ANY WAY. HORRIFIC! stay away

So I was in site 3015. The dude to the left of me is a roofer and stores his trailers there. Several times I found roofing nails on the ground around my trailer. Not purposely placed. Just debris from his jobs I am sure, but it remains a problem for someone pulling a trailer. I spoke with your team on a couple occasions, although receptive, I really don't think anyone followed up with him or looked into the issue. Nails are being spread all throughout the storage lot driveway.

I moved out within minutes of signing contract to secure a larger unit. All was well. Teans was professional and very personable. Tray was the other associate and listening to him assisting other customers, well, they make UHaul proud. Respectfully, Kathleen Savenelli New Unit #604 Should have N/A as an option!! I never opened the unit to which the close out refers. Oops, maybe you need to revisit your questionnaire. All is good, just helping out.

I had reserved a guaranteed truck at the garner location which is also where I have my storage unit. I reserved it doe 24 hours. When I got to the facility to pick up my truck I was told that there was no truck available and they would have to call and find me one. I was told that there was a truck at another location. Maybe I am a little stupid but good customer service to me would be for someone to drive that truck to the garnet location to where I was waiting but no I was told I had to drive 9 miles in my persons vehicle to go pick up the truck (it was actually 11,7 miles). I also asked the employee at the garner location why there where no disc locks on the 2 doors that I had on my storage building and he said I had to bring my own locks and looks. When I told him I booked online and hey were supposed to be included for free he provided me with 2 locks. I love 2,8 miles from the garner location which is why I booked there. I wasted almost one hour of my time driving to Raleigh to get this truck which means I will waste another hour driving back to Raleigh to get my car on Saturday. I asked the lady at the Raleigh location about the miles and time I had wasted and she gave me the weekly mileage rate instead of the weekend rate. I find this unacceptable. I feel like I should have 23,4 free mikes to put on the truck because that is the distance that I am forced to drive getting the truck that I did not plan on. I would also feel like I should be reimbursed fir a gallon on gas that I am having to put in my car to drive there and back that was not part of my booking. I also feel I should be reimbursed a few gallons of gas that I am gonna have to put in the uhaul truck that was not my plan. I also feel I should be reimbursed somehow for the 2 hours on my wasted time. I am moving into a different house in 2 weeks and will need to use another truck for the move. I am very nervous about trying to use this I haul again. Moving is stressful enough and my experience with you guys has only made it worse.

I know I was doing it correctly, because the "temporary" code I was given the first day worked for the first couple of months. After that, I was fortunate enough to get there when someone else was entering. The next time I tried and no one was there, the office staff finally gave me an access card that worked.

Many automatic overhead lights in the storage facility won't turn on so my unit is in a dark hall. I imagine this could make many people feel uncomfortable. Very clean. Advertising and the instructions I was sent after booking said there would be a lock in the unit. There was not. Slight marks taken for the light in and lock but overall free and fit my need.

My overall experience with uhaul staff is good BUT as I was returning my rented 15' truck, I encountered a staff member/young man who was the RUDEST I have ever encountered and down right ABUSIVE. Worst, he took the key from me and drove the truck in front of building like racing on track and almost smashed a poor man who was pulling in front of him (see your videos from cameras). When I asked about manager, he said go inside and wait and he is way to busy to worry with me. Mocked me when i asked if my check out was completed and said look at trucks that I have to do and brushed me off. I have rented storage for over two years and sometimes two at ones. Rented multiple trucks for me and business but never expected that rudeness and dismissive/abuse to customers. The manager (Ms. Tyndall) was very professional and courteous but I refuse to do business with this location in future and would not recommend to anyone else because my experience with the employee (see my return for his name). One final word, there are many facilities that compete for the same services as yours, what sets you apart and encourage people to do business with you again is your customer service and that is completely MISSING with this employee. Merci.

This UHaul location is the best in the area. Capital Blvd. Is the worst. I have rented several times at the Mechanical Blvd. location, this time to move to Youngsville,N.C. They are polite & professional. If I ever get a chance to use them again, I will not hesitate to. Great customer service!

Back storage area is where I had my camper and lights at night were always out. Never could get a "pod" for remote access, I always had to exit my car to enter gate code on key pad . Reported several times to staff that said they would het manager to fix it a and call me and he bet did. I stopped by one day and he said he was busy.

It felt that I was alone in the building as I moved my stuff in. The cart worked well. The unit location was reasonably close to the door. The vehicle access was well designed to that lifting was minimized.

Me and my husband are very upset with the way our rental was handled today. I called uhal this afternoon to reserve a storage unit that would fit a truck as we are moving and need a space for my husband'struck. We were told that we could rent an enclosed unit at your location that was as big as a 1 car garage. When my husband got there that's when the problems started. At first they could not find our reservation even though we had a reservation number. Then they decided that they would give my husband a unit and proceeded to charge him $200 when the unit was supposed to be free because we rented a moving truck. When my husband pointed this out they did not believe him and made him swear that he rented a truck. Then finally he said he would give him the unit for the free month. When he went to go find the unit it was inside and they gave him no direction on how to get there. Our unit was supposed to be outside so we could store our car. They said they did not have that unit and the only thing they could give was an inside one which does not help us. It took my husband 3 times to get in as they kept giving him the wrong gate code. When he finally did find the unit it was upstairs and the furthest away from entrance that you could get. When he finally got to the unit there was a zip tie on it he had to remove along with a mouse trap and dead mouse in it and cockroaches. At this point my husband had already been there 3 hours and he needed to get back to us to finish out the day. To say the least, we are very unsatisfied and plan on calling the corporate number to speak to someone. This experience has put a very bad taste in our mouth. Please let me know how we can resolve these issues and get the unit we ordered.

I went to put my clothes in my unit and when we pulled the door up we found roaches crawling on my items. I then called a friend to see if I can store my clothes at her house. Spoke with the person on duty and he made me feel as if he didn't believe me or as if I brought the roaches. He did point dead roaches out side my unit and down the hallway. Also the storage facility itself smell bad and has a water leak. I plan to bomb my unit before I move my items out to make sure I don't carry them into my new home. I'm totally disappointed with storage facility

I rented this unit to store household goods while waiting to move into my new home. When I came to the unit on 9-2-20 to load my furniture, the storage unit was leaking and the concrete was soaked which ruined my mattresses, TV's and ruined my Christmas decorations that have been in my family for years and the rest of my belongings smell like moist-mildew. I went to the office to see what can be done and he said they won't do anything they aren't liable. I rented a storage unit to store and secure my household goods. I'm so disappointed, I'm looking to seek legal proceedings for reimbursement on my belongings that were ruined.

When I called a week ago to resolve a different problem, I was told by the manager, Mike, that if I called ahead of time to tell them when I was coming to unload my UBoxes, into a storage unit, they would have them ready for me. I called Friday afternoon to let them know I would be there Saturday morning. When I showed up, I told the manager I had spoke with him last week and he rudely said, "No, probably not." After assuring him that I DID talk to him, they found my account, and UBoxes. However, they had not been pulled out and ready for me. They said, to give them some time, probably 20 minutes, and we'll call you to let you know they are ready. After an hour and a half of waiting in the parking lot, they were pulled and ready. When I went in, to find out which storage unit was ours (I made a reservation for a 10x20 back in June), I was told that I didn't have a reservation. They had to make me a new one, but they had no 10x20's available. I made the reservation, drove out back to the other building so we could FINALLY start unloading our UBoxes, to find that they were stilled screwed shut. Of course the front desk wasn't answering the phone, so I had to drive back up there to get someone to come back down and take the screws out. I then scanned my access card to get into the storage unit, and it says "Welcome Kailyn." That is not my name, so after we finished loading all of our belongings into the unit I went back up front to tell them. I was told that if I wanted it changed over to my name I would have to come back a time that the manager was working because nobody else knows how to do that. Meanwhile, the whole time the cashier is talking to me, he is spitting into a water bottle because he had dip in his mouth. Overall, I was not pleased with this experience. What should have been a 1-2 hour ordeal wound up being over 4 hours. The one employee that wound up helping us actually retrieve the UBoxes and get the screws out of the boxes was friendly and apologetic (I don't remember his name, but I do know he was finished at 1:00 that day-8/15). Other than him, the experience was very frustrating, and if I had the capability to tow the UBoxes, I probably would have just taken them elsewhere.

I called a month before the actual moving to the storage unit and using the truck. I got to the place in Morganton to get my truck and the guy there was rude and did not want to answer my questions and he said he did not want to talk to me the he would talk to my daughter (I am Spanish and my daughter looks American) he should not be so rude and calm my anxiety with the answer to my questions which were very legitimate considering the truck charge was high (he said I was going to be held for $343 but my money will be credited to my card once we got there) I did not understand WHY he couldn't just do the right thing because that was way too much and he said we couldn't return truck back in Morganton but it was really not true. Anyhow, I called the U haul place at Mechanical Blvd. in Raleigh and the guy who answered the phone was not very knowledgeable and he just couldn't even find my reservation. We get there at 3:53 and as told in Morganton but the owner, Mr. Hennessee, we wanted to let them know we were there so the time we got there is recorded an he said I would get $100 back credited for early return of truck. The storage place is busy, the guys Kenneth Perry, says he can help me, but when he is helping me some other people say that they need to talk to him and he tells me to stay there on that register while he helps this other customer because they need help. I asked Why is the other guy not helping because I believe once a customer is being helped then he should finish his work with them and then get the next customer. He went and helped the other people and when he got back to help me, then he rushed because he wouldn't answer my questions and he did not even make sure I was not charged for my first month . He told me to wait at storage unit number given and that he would be there shortly. When we get to the storage unit. I did not feel safe. There was a woman there who says she has 3 storage units and sure she did have a dog in one of the units, she had her blanket, microwave, cheese, food, eating there. She also had all her stuff spread all over hallway and told me not to go by there because she needed the hallway to spread her junk. I told her I did not care and that we needed to unload our stuff because we had been driving for 3 hours and we wanted to get it done. She also took some of our stuff and we had to ask her to give back to us. She looked like she was on some drugs. The alarm went off when we opened my unit and when we tried to close. THUS, they should fix that. Someone should make sure NOBODY is in those units eating, sleeping and with animals.That is not a safe nor good idea. I am scared to go back there by myself. At 6pm, I asked that guy who helped us to please make sure I got my money credited and he gave me a number that is not even UHAUL to call and talk to them because he said he couldn't do it.. Customer service not good at all. What a hassle for me to go through all this while I am trying to move out of my old house , store things and finish my work .
