I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with my most recent rental experience, underscored by a series of inconveniences and apparent discrepancies that have not only caused unnecessary financial strain but also a significant erosion of trust in your services. To begin with, my original reservation (#74420751), made well in advance to ensure a smooth process, was nullified without adequate explanation, due to the unavailability of the booked truck at the designated location. This lapse in coordination compelled me to incur additional expenses amounting to $45 for Uber rides to and from the initial pickup point, and then to the alternate location provided by U-Haul. I firmly believe that U-Haul should bear these costs, given the misinformation regarding the truck's availability that led to this predicament. Further compounding my frustration, upon concluding my rental period-which was strictly within the agreed 24-hour window-I was astonished to find that my receipt indicated charges for a two-day rental. The recorded return time was unjustly adjusted to reflect a delay past the due time, marking the second instance of an attempt to overcharge me for services not rendered. This pattern of inaccuracies and overcharges not only reflects poorly on U-Haul's commitment to customer satisfaction but also borders on deceptive business practices. Therefore, I request an immediate review and rectification of my billing for reservation #74420751, including a reimbursement for the unwarranted additional day's charge and the aforementioned transportation costs incurred due to the initial reservation mishap. Your prompt attention to this matter is not only crucial for rectifying the financial discrepancies but also essential for restoring my confidence in your services. I trust that U-Haul values its customer relations enough to address this issue with the urgency and seriousness it warrants. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.

Although I opted for a self pick up through the U-Haul app, Nicholas P. went above and beyond to guide us through the multi-point pick-up process in person which was super helpful and very much appreciated. The location is very convenient for Downtowners. The 15-ft truck performed well without any issue at all. We had an overall great experience and would highly recommend this business.

Bad part of town, area and buikding looks derelict. It wasn't very clear whether you are able to access the storage facility after hours or not, got conflicting info. I'm still not sure, there seem to be after hour access or atleast placards next to key code locks indicating so. Booking online it stated that the lock would be inside the storage unit, this wasn;t the case so I had to run back down to the office to get the lock and run back up again. The trolly staircase had one wheel half broken so was an mission getting it to my locker, there were other trolly staircases further away. Booking online it doesn't indicate that the storage locker is 6 feet up and 10ft deep, just states 5x5x10. Certain oersons mught find it diffiult to store and access there items.

I've been a valued customer of U-Haul for nearly a decade and have used multiple vans and trucks to transport my life from coast to coast twice as well as several in-town rides when needed in various places across the country. Out of all of them, I have never met a better staff than the Greater Miami location - I could sense the family work dynamic as soon as I walked in and felt so welcomed by every single member, from the front desk to the return rental crew, everyone was phenomenal during a highly stressful move in my life. I cannot thank you all enough for your generosity, and that's exactly what the next customer deserves because he is me.

there was a weird seven dollar fee that I'm not sure why I got charged. I was also charged $30 for servicing for adding gas but the U-Haul only had a quarter tank of gas to begin with so it's nearly impossible to go to a gas station and fill it to a quarter tank exactly without overfilling it or underfilling it. The U-Haul should be provided with a full tank of gas so that it's easy to know where your refilling to. This isn't something specifically with this location, but in general, the practice is kind of a scam.

Not a very pleasant experience. Despite advertised being "climate controlled", my leather chair that I've stored there became very moldy, probably due to condensate. A lot of shady people inside with access codes to the facility, loitering and charging their phones, harassing you offering "help loading stuff". I've moved in after hours, so the next day staff put a lock on my unit and called me saying "we've put a lock on your unit, come to the office to pick it up". When I did, the guy in the office was very rude interrupting me all the time when I was trying to explain what I needed. Oh, and after the money in, you're facility charged me 3 times for 2 months. I've called you -" we don't see the 3rd charge". I've called the U-Haul itself - they've found the 3rd transaction that was not associated with my account, that's why this facility didn't see it. Im calling the facility again - "we don't see the 3rd charge". Yes, and I'm telling you exactly why. Had to spent about 2 hours to get that transaction cancelled. I'd avoid this place in future.

Terrible scam policy. I used the truck for 35 miles and was charged $45 for fuel, complete scam. I was given the truck at 1/4 tank just under and I admit inside not fuel it for 35miles and expected to pay 2gallons = $9. But instead they said mandatory $30 for being under 1/4 tank. Well it was given to me just under a 1/4 tank. Pure scam , I bet everyone gets charged the $30 as they always keep gas tanks at 1/4. Will be posting on social media to my 400k+ followers!

The location was not easy to get to. I got a call the day before our pick up and was told the truck I was getting was not available so they gave me an alternate location which was not near my location. I understand this can happen because the truck was not being returned that day. My biggest concern was the pickup we were rented had the low oil light come on after we abut 100 miles in to the trip. We checked the oil and had to add Two Quarts!! This truck only has 8000 miles on it!! Obviously someone screwed up when the oil was changed.

Although the explanation of access was not communicated, the team was helpful and patient even with me coming back right at 5 as they were closing shop. Very attentive and answered my one million questions before leaving a disaster of a storage company (Public Storage by Tamiami - STAY AWAY) and needing a reliable storage same day.

They should have more staff members working at the counter who are actively working. People should not have to wait 30 minutes just to buy boxes or moving supplies. They might as well go to Walmart, it's cheaper and less wait time. 1/10 would never use Uhaul in the future.

My personal experience with the Miami store was excellent. Michael and the manager understood my frustration with the previous process after having my reservation moved twice, having the wrong equipment at the previous pick up location (the one on 7th Ave) and that I had no access to said equipment. They made sure I got a truck that night and took care of me. Uhaul corporate, however are a bunch of chunderheads who are not engaged in the customer experience and do little to no research on the spaces where franchisees keep their equipment. Rather than letting a customer know that the equipment they desire is not available where the customer wants to pick it up, they simply change the location, but do not see if the equipment is actually available at the other location. This happened multiple times on the evening of the pick up causing undo stress and making my moving experience a horrible one. I want to be very clear. Your staff at the Uhaul locations in Miami and Port St Lucie are excellent, and went out of their way to solve issues for me. U haul corporate.....I would like a partial refund for wasting my time.

Where do I begin.. - I was told the storage unit would be climate controlled that was hottest storage room I've been inside. - There was a rat poison box in my unit… - I decided to cancel my reservation because the storage unit was too small I was told by Customer Service UHaul to contact the storage site. Once I contacted the storage site the lady picked up the phone heard my story and didn't assist she said "Goodbye" & hung up the phone… I will NEVER use UHaul storage again I am using Public Storage which is 100x cleaner, more professional, & well maintained compared to the U-Haul disaster I saw at the downtown Miami storage unit location.

I use this place every year for 1-4 months of storage and 2-3 truck/Van rentals and Hector and the gang are the best. The building is historic and has its "issues" at times, but that is beyond staff's control but the resolve these issues as quickly as possible. Look forward to using again next year as always!

1) this U-Haul is advertised as climate controlled. READ THE FINE PRINT. Only the 1st floor is climate controlled and I was told there is never any availability there. 2) Dark and smells. It is only February and it's very damp and humid, can't imagine our summer months. 3) Went to put a few more boxes in, the one and only elevator was broken so I planned to move my things out asap. 4) 2 weeks later, I come in, rent a truck and have my Moving Help scheduled and waiting outside when I head to storage to find out that the elevator is broken again. I go back into the store and was met by really bad attitude by U-Haul employee when I complained and said I wanted a refund for the truck rental because I can't load the truck due to the elevator not working. I had told the guy doing the truck rental that I was emptying out my storage and he rented me the truck anyways and didnt say anything about the elevator. *** I could go on but it was an extremely horrible expetience at this U-Haul

It's what you expect for a storage unit downtown. There is no AC units. Roaches everywhere. The doors for the stairs and fire escape are wide open, not locked so homeless people are coming in and out. However they are friendly and helpful homeless people so I'm not complaining. The unit size is deceiving,, the ceiling is the "10 feet " or whatever so .. unless you plan on stacking everything 10 feet high you'll need a big unit. Besides that, it did the job for my needs of 2 months.

The people at the desks were not very helpful in terms of any questions I had even tho it was about the online reservation. More like very defensive like I'm asking questions to be difficult on purpose. Not a good experience when they are rude and argumentative and feel slighted or attacked over the tiniest thing and it's their job to help me understand how things work. They were eager to escalate to an argument which was very unprofessional. You can tell they hate their job and the people that come in here.

The staff (especially a gentleman) was always on their phone everytime I went in to ask him something is if I was bothering him! Not friendly at all or helpful! There was also homeless people going in and out and I did not feel safe! I also voiced it no one came! It was dirty and it smelled like a urinal! Also the wait time at the reception was horrible

There was a very cute, petite, hispanic, female employee working a few times I was there who also helped me close my account. I couldn't help but notice she would go above and beyond for not just myself, but everyone she came in contact with. She presented a very friendly, helpful and professional demeanor every time I was there, which made me want to keep my unit despite having no use for it anymore. I don't recall her name, but she was amazing and should get a promotion!

It took me over 45 minutes to sign for my storage unit and after driving from North Carolina and having made my reservation 4 days earlier they didn't have my unit available. The solution was to give me another unit that was smaller and ended up not being able to fit all of my stuff. Once I finally got a unit which was now on the 7th. Floor vice the first I was promised the elevator was down for maintenance. It was a routine maintenance they decided to do in the middle of the day instead of waiting until hours when customers weren't coming in and out needing it. I had to move meetings and extend time blocks because of all of the above mismanagement and even more frustrating couldn't store all the stuff I had driven states down to put away for my military move. Very upset and unsatisfactory.

Lets start with the unit location (which no one explain to you how uncomfortable could it be), unit was over another unit and my couch (which is not huge at all) couldn't fit in the hallway (not on the storage unit that it was super difficult to get in), I tried to talk with a girl there super rude because she was on a call and she didn't have time for a customer. Elevator will start closing and making noises after the first 2 mnts (because everyone knows you go to a storage and pay 150 dlrs just to keep 2 box and go). The same rude girl from before when I ask her if I could change units because we didn't fit on the sh..t they gave me she told me they didn't have any (which it wasn't true and we had to go back to get another real answer and she didn't even know how to charge us correctly, but of course they did). We took double time doing this in the storage that what we spend from my apartment (in an 11 floor) to the elevator and then to the truck and all that time with everything in the elevator because there is only 1 elevator and we didn't have space to go or to put things. Awful service (specially the women), horrible storage locations, not friendly elevator and extremely frustrated experience.

The light in my unit didn't work. The floor wasn't clean. On the day I was clearing my unit out I accidentally left a few things behind in the hallway. The following day I came by & the staff had thrown it in the dumpster and destroyed it. No attempt to check the cameras & reach out to who left it behind. The staff here does the bare minimum & is not very helpful.

First, the size demensions I confirmed were not what I got,, and the website does not explain about having to use a ladders steps to access your unit.. After this deception, the girl that changed my unit after looking at a few units. Was super Lazy, rude, and would not detach from her phone to give me instructions. I had to return 4 times. Once for the code, once to figure out I had to use it for both doors just to find out I needed a card to do this, plus, was never given a lock...the van I rented did not have a dolly so I had to go searching for one and get the ok to take it...this burned up about 2 hours of my rental time. As I was finally moving in there was a huge rat trap in my unit which makes me very nervious of having my belongings infested.. there was a strong scent of Marijuana on my floor and 2 unit with people bathing and sleeping in the units like a hotel. One guy even had an extention cord going to his unit and closed himself inside.

Water damage inside my storage unit along with a cockroaches infestation.... lost many valuable items due to the water damage and end up with cockroaches IN MY HOUSE!!! The in store staff was extremely helpful, the gentleman who made my truck contrac Jose Alvarez and the young lady who made my storage contract Jazmin Beltran Gomez both made it not only quick and easy for me but were well versed in the job and were very courteous. There was two other young ladies present behind the counter who also interacted with me and were very helpful and nice. Everybody was smiling and the overall energy in the store was pleasant.

Horrible!! No A/C like advertised. As soon as I opened the storage unit, there were 2 big cockroaches to greet me. The floor was dirty and placing my couch there scratched the Italian leather on it, not to mention the roaches that enjoyed it. The most Disgusting thing ever. It's a sauna in there. I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemy. . If I had more hands I would give it 10 thumbs down!

Overall I'm satisfied. I had to store my stuff for one week. I paid for a month however. There were two guys pretty much "living" in one of the units on the floor where I was assigned. I felt nervous initially as there was a guy using a step ladder blocking the way and was rude about letting me get by to my unit on the day I was moving my stuff in. I assume these were paying customers so I didn't make a fuss but it was weird. No issues with the facility or unit I was assigned.

I am now aware now that Miami is 85 % Spanish. The storage in Miami wasn't climate control. Climate control should be mandatory in all of Miami units. The staff knew only Spanish. They need interpretations or hire someone native that speak English. Jacksonville was okay. I had to call corporate to fully comprehend my reservations. 3 locations were not able to explain anything to me . I know things are hectic for everyone, just letting UHaul know things can be rectified. We used UHAUL in the last at least 8 times before this reservation.

The building should be maintained, it has a lot of humidity and bad odor. The building has some floating issues especially in the entrance at the load/unload area. In addition the structure itself is dark which leads to an unsecure feeling.

There was a rat trap and a live cockroach in my unit. The rat trap I can live with. It indicates there are rats in the building, but at least you're doing something to deal with it. The live cockroach seemed like more of a problem. When I asked staff about this, one person didn't know what to do and the other person suggested I get a roach bomb. I don't have a car so I walked to the nearest CVS, but they had no cockroach killer materials. I'm pretty concerned my clothes and other items will be infested with roaches when I return.

That facility is awful! Highly inconvenient and unsafe! I wouldn't recommend that place to an enemy much less a friend. I gave them a "Below Average" because the workers are nice but they could never problem solve. The elevator is always broken, not just this year when they upgraded. What's the point of a storage facility where you can't get to your stuff? The last approximately 5 months I've had to walk up 5 flights of freight stairs and walk through dark hallways where often times I'm encountering vagrants. At one point a couple years ago the elevator was broken I asked that an employee escort me stairs because yet again the elevator was broken and they refused due to their own safety too. Nice staff but awful facility.

Is the worst facility that I have used, dirty, full of roaches, hot, elevator first was extremely slow and it has not work for the pass three month. I need it to get my belongings on the seventh floor I had to use the stairs and was not able to move because the elevator was not working Few months ago I put a claim for items that were stollen and when I asked to see the film to see what happened I was told there was no security film. I consider this to be a major problem due to the fact that if anything happens to anyone there is no security cameras according to the office. I lost over $2500. worth of items including my diving equipment, coats, cloth..... and have no way to prove it.

I have paid this storage for a year. Hired a moving truck and crew to put some more items and pick up some of what I had there and found that the elevator wasnt working. Couldnt get my furniture out plus, I couldnt put the new stuff in this storage. Wasted a lot of time of the movers who charge hourly and had go to a new storage. They had to come back yesterday to get the resf of what I have in the storage get it down by the stairs with several movers in order to put everything on the same storage. I have been calling, texting, leaving messages and havent been able to talk to Hector the manager. I left my number, email and no reply. This issue cost me a lot of money which I need uhaul to reimburse.

I had a terrible experience with this facility. I got stuck in the elevator for 30 mins with half of my things. Finally we got out, but my things stayed at the elevator for 5 days, until they fix it. I had to leave the rest of my things in the moving truck and hire new people for the unloading when elevator was fixed. I reserved my storage on the 7th floor, without letting me know that was burned a year ago and you still can breath the smoke in the floor. I needed to use a face mask every time I visit the storage. The unit was full of roaches, when I move out of the unit, it was infected of dead roaches. The place is disgusting, hot (not air conditioning) and dangerous due to the smoke. They I only stayed 2 months, and never got any discount or consideration after all I went through. It was the worst storage experience I ever had. The storage closes at 7pm, but there are access through the outside stairs leading to the floors, where homeless people come to stay for the night. Very dangerous. I don´t recommend this location to anybody. It was a nightmare for me dealing with the elevator, that breaks all the time according to people going there.

While I would recommend this facility for renting Uhaul trucks, I would not recommend it for storage. It appears to have a mouse problem and I worry that our mattress will be attacked by mice. Also there are homeless people wandering in and using the elevators to hang out in the upper storage floors They carry food which attracts mice. .

The elevator was the main problem because it did not operate some days when i had to move items. The facility needs air conditioning and in the elevator in particular

Horrible experience, not enough space to tell story.Employees & Manager are awful & don’t even try to make it right.Employees steel, accidentally left 2 chairs they won’t show us video who took them.

There used to be quite a lot of non-employees trying to offer moving help, at times it felt almost agressive. However during my most recent trips I've noticed a big improvement.
