The only issue was they didn't have the correct reservation. Which certainly isn't the employees who work at the storage facilities fault. U-Haul is notorious for this. But they solve the problem by giving me two smaller units.

The rating is due to the excellence staff and how they problem solved. But when I arrived there was no Internet and had to wait quite a while for them to access my booking. I don't understand why you don't have things backed up on paper or accessible when there's no Internet. And secondly the unit that I rented was not actually available. So they had to problem solve to make sure I actually had space to store my stuff U-Haul also didn't have the truck that I rented at the location that I rented it at. U-Haul really needs to get its act together. And not the employees who work in the offices but the head office

We had a 26 foot truck and it was damn near impossible trying to maneuver it in that location. If someone was to rent a truck bigger than 20 feet I would not recommend this location to them

If my name and unit number are not revealed to this store Manager, I will say that she is rude and unprofessional and disrespectful. I think that the final staw- aside from the ongoing financial strain- for me to finally move my staff out was the incessant emails about updating my address (why? My bill was paid every month for 3 years) but really it was the woman Cayuaga. She is a monster.

Overall the staff could just run the place better. 1 question I said no to because it really should have been 2 questions. Clean? Yeah clean enough, but well maintained? Not so much in my opinion. Many times when trying to access my unit the sliding doors closest to it were locked and i had to go around and get a staff member to unlock it. Most recently the exit gate near my indoor locker has been blocked off with pylons for some reason and many uhaul vehicles were left parked in the area, so i had to reverse my vehicle down the aisle so that i could get back out through the entrance. Im not a fan of the regular aggressive almost monthly price increases, it was getting too expensive and not worth it. When i was first looking at getting a locker, the staff told me i could reserve one for the night while i discussed it with my wife, then the next day when i went to sign up it had been sold to someone else and i was told they cant hold them, so i lost the locker i supposedly had reserved. A little more tlc from the staff could make the difference between mediocre and great. Oh and one more thing... all the little sharp screws sticking out of the wall of the storage locker might be a safety concern to think about.

This location gives no support at all to their customers I rented a truck from this location & had breakdown I got no help at all from roadside & on top the employees at this store screwed me up with big bill. They called me from diff number & no call was recorded. People at this location don't value their customers at all. All they know is to take money out of people pocket Not recommended at all to rent

The lady manager at the desk was extremely rude without any courtesy to the customer. She needs to understand it is because of the customers she is able to run the business and not the other way around. Her attitude was the WORST !! The management needs to replace her else there will be serious impact on your business.

Unable to pay via credit card without calling each month. Very frustrating. Also, this location charged me a late fee even though I had moved out a week earlier and they confirmed. Staff were never around when I was there and needed help.

I have been renting Uhaul trucks for moves for many many years and this location was by far the most efficient, friendly centre I have ever attended. The yard is immaculate and the gate keeps everything secure, the staff was extremely efficient and friendly. Hats off to this location!

Only problem I have was it's cost. Very expensive for the smallest locker you have! 129$ that's just crazy, I could have got it cheaper elsewhere. Maybe price match should be an option Over all very nice service, the young lad who helped me was very charming and helpful

The experience was good overall, what I was unhappy about is that for a moving company not to have advertised supplies or moving equipment like dollies and carts available to rent... ever, is beyond me. This is supposed to be what they excel at, and to not have it is a disappointment. I was told that they don't supply or stock that even though it's available on the site when booking. Also, if you plan to leave your vehicle there as you rent, there are no spots. You have to park off-site somewhere.

Staff and facility was good; however, the 7' x 10' x 8' Interior 2nd floor storage locker reserved 2 weeks prior to move in date was not available (over booked facility?) Forced to rent larger more expensive 10' x 15' x 8' outdoor unit that I didn't want? Poor on-line reservation system.

I had to walk all the way across the large lot to "find" the truck then walk all the way back to obtain the key. Then drive my car a block away to park and then walk back in the rain to pick up the truck. No dolly in the truck per my order. Won't use this location again.

We were told that the storage was 5x12 it was not we measured it and it was 4ft 5 inches x 11ft 3,5 inches this is false onformation and we are not in getting for what we were told. We were not happy about this.

Return after-hours is a very lengthy process

If your location staff can't record a last name or address correctly how do you suppose you'll keep your business? Also trying to rush a customers return to the point of no vehicle inspection, no return of deposit (was exuberantly told its an Authorization and I don't need to do anything). Customers that are moving, are already facing extreme costs. By doing this, you remove their ability to pay others, buy meals during the move, etc. Wait times for refunds unless punched into the machine can take up to 30 days to process. Slowing down and doing it right will return customers. Doing it wrong will cost you a possible court battle over the spelling of a name. Maybe even your job. Do better please.

There is no parking space for cars of customers in the location. I parked my car across the road and it was raining. I was drenched running across the road.

I felt my belongings were safe while in storage at this location. A few concerns I did have though: - When initially occupying the unit, I was charged for a lock I never took. Staff had promised to refund me for the unused lock, but task was never completed. - Office smells of cigarette smoke.

I asked for a bigger unit 3 times now. They did not even look. These guys were so lazy not even check around town for me. Not even go online and check with your one 800 number search stuff. Very disappointed. I've been using U-Haul for a very very long time. That will be coming to an end. I am storage stuff at units all over the place. This location and the last occasion no help.....

I received an email stating my rent was going up by around $50. That's quite a jump and part of the reason for leaving. I was left on hold a few times for around 20 minutes each time and ended up having to hang up and call back. But they did assist me with my issues when I did finally get to talk to them. Perhaps a phone system that reminds that there's a phone call still on hold would be beneficial. Thanks for everything though and I would still recommend you.

The staff at the Hamilton location, Upper Ottawa and Rymal road are extremely rude and disrespectful of there customers. They make promises to their customers that they have no intention of honouring. When the staff is confronted on the promises they made, they tell the customers that it's not their problem and if you don't like it you can " GET OUT". That is what I was told and then threatened to have the police called. I will never use that uhaul location ever again and will tell everyone that I can. That location needs a new owner and new staff. Uhaul is a disgrace, money hungry and do not care about their customers.

Would not recommend this location to anyone. End using the services on Centennial. The two young gentlemen were trying their best but the General Manager Brenda has the worst customer skills I have EVR experienced. Instead of listening to her customer she thought it was more important to smoke and roll her eyes. Then when asked again for assistance she decided to yell. Everything was decent. The unit itself was well lit and well looked after. Clean and well taken care of. The customer service the young gentleman i interacted with was excellent. However, i feel the older blonde lady could improve her attitude. I have interacted with her twice and both times she seemed annoyed to be dealing with customers. Almost like she was being bothered whilst dealing with a customer. Not impressed as someone who is a manager myself, her attitude needs room for improvement. Kimd regards.

I asked for a larger unit to avoid paying for 2 units but was told no larger units were available. When the unit assigned was found with a lock on it I was offered the larger unit which I asked for. I had already paid for 2 units and was not offered a reimbursement of any kind.

The only comment I have to make is that every single time I go to access the locker , the staffs cars were parked in front of my unit . It was a bit annoying to continually go in the office and ask them to move . They should be parking elsewhere.

I had to move from my home of 19 years to a apt storage was needed, been with U-haul 6 years an they always have been great  I never had a bad word with any employee, everyone was always nice an friendly helpful. The area was always clean an always easy access. Thank you to Breanda an her team for taking care of my things 

Not a great experience at this location. We had some issues and asked for the manager and we were told there was no way to contact her. After having to argue with the under trained staff, we received a number. The manager was extremely rude and the matter was escalated. We never received any follow up on our complaint from head office - and we're told that if we were lying, we would be black listed from Uhaul. I've had great customer service at other locations, but definitely not this one. I would not recommend Uhaul - no one should be treated as we were.

There was no lighting in the unit. The people in the office were not at all friendly. Snow removal was horrible we were in the end building and sometimes couldn't get in. When asked about it in the office we were told it's self storage. And snow removal wasn't that easy for them to do.

The in-store staff were very nice and always were able to help resolve any issues we had. I believe it was extremely unprofessional for someone to have been smoking in the unit beside mine on a lawn chair. Everytime we had seen her or had to deal with this woman directly she was extremely rude and disrespectful. She would cut us off and not heat our problem out fully. I want to reiterate that the rest of the staff was nice and helpful. For the sole fact of this one woman I wouldn't recommend this Uhaul to anyone. The guys working there should definitely get a raise that's for sure.

I was a longer term rental and all was good. I was always pleased either service and apparently cleanliness. A much higher rating would have been given had there not been a significant amount of mouse s h i t, at first noticed on ghe floor and then when emptying the unit, on my furniture, the couches, inside empty dresser drawers. Born and raised on farm it does not freak me out, and is kinda expected.

Poor upkeep of facilities Snow removal is none existent When asking how to get into your unit even a couple weeks after a Snowfall, you get told that there is a shovel in the corner if you need to get into your unit

We booked on line, when we got to the office on Fri. March 25 @ 4pm the two young guys in the office were doing extremely helpful and even backed our UHaul 20 ft rental truck into our storage spot. They explained each procedure and walked us out to the keypad to show us. We are very happy that we chose UHaul rentals and Storage.

I rented a van and storage unit at the same time and they gave me 2 different locations. One location to pick up the van and the other was where my storage unit was. This was extremely inconvenient because I specifically rented from uhaul to have pick up and storage at the same location. I had to drive 45 mins extra and lost 1 hour of my rental time because of this. I am extremely upset with this process because it costed me time and money.

I came home and told my family about the amazingly kind person that served me; he was quick and informative and took the time to show me how everything worked, and took the time to take me to my locker. We reserved a storage unit online at 3:30 and were onsite at 4:15, all while the boys managing the place were dealing with a Sunday-night-end-of-the-month rush staring down a 5:00 closing time ... and he still was patient and professional with us and our first timer questions. Got us setup in no time, took us to the other end of the property to show us the unit with tips and suggestions along the way. All over a great courtesy to us in our last minute planning rush. Well done!!

The truck was dirty. I swept it out before moving my stuff and twice afterwards. There was a warning label inside the box that a $25 cleaning fee would apply if it wasn't swept out... not impressed.

The only disappointment was that I did not get a credit back when not using the facility for the full time I paid for. I had to move my stuff 20 days before the end of the second month.
