The installation went great. The issue I have a complaint is about your app and the local store rolling their phone. The app will not allow you to edit an installation date. When I attempted to contact the above location, their phone was rolled over to the US based customer service, who stated that they could not help me and referred me back to the local store. Thus I could not communicate with the local store, unless I drove up there. Thus the app needs to be fixed to allow editing, and a better process needs to be implemented to assist customers, when the local store cannot take a phone call.

Geremy PWhen I returned the trailer, I could not find an employee (he was somewhere filling propane). He eventually showed up and was alone. The return area already had two trucks and a van (I was the 4th) that appeared to be returned. The poor guy was doing his best, but this was not good customer service.

Haley Radcliff, the GM, helped me when I initially rented my unit and helped me when it came time to rent a trailer and ultimately conclude my contract as I was moving out of state. Every interaction I've had with her has been 5 stars. She is personable, knowledgeable, and efficient. Modern, well-equipped storage facilities are common. People like Haley are not. She elevates the experience and there is no doubt she is a genuine credit to your company. Merci.

Michael HDo not use Mule barn in canton. Hickory flat was great but mule barn was not. Made a reservation and they were closed. Talked to U-Haul customer service and they were useless. Claimed they would credit my card 50 dollars but of course haven't gotten it and will not get it. Probably will not be using U-Haul anymore.

App would not recognize my location services, website was slow, padlock on back of the truck would not open without some hidden knowledge that I found out via phone call, and I was transferred to multiple agents on the phone to help resolve my issues. Wasted 45 minutes of my time and of the people that were waiting on me. Will not use again, EPIC fail.

JACKQUES MWe were conflicting information from the onset. I was told my first month would be free with online special, I was charged for the 1st month a subsequent months. We rented a Uhal and drove a total of 5m and was charged for 3 gallons of gas, it was given to us with less than half tank but we the form we received in email said he was half full. Sheer math will tell it's impossible to drive only 5 miles and use 3 gallons. The person who checked us had no idea how to resolve, he told me to call the manager Haley Eden the next to resolve the billing issues for gas and the rental unit. I called and she had a very negative attitude, I asked her why she was being so rude when I was only asking for clarity. She didn't respond to my question but said she was giving me $8,5 back and basically too bad from the 1st month free. I should have called sooner. Worst experience ever!

Drop off was super easy as well. I pulled in, she unhooked the trailer, and I drove off. Took less than 5 minutes. Would definitely use this location again if needed.
Trevis WThere was some confusion on the time of the appointment. I originally booked it for 9am and the only information on the email was the date. I showed up at 9am and was told the installer would not be there until 2pm. It completely threw off my day. When I arrived Hailey (the owner and installer) told me that she came in early to install the hitch. I mentioned she could have called me and I would have come right over. She also said it would take 3 hrs but could not guarantee it would be done before 7pm. There was some confusion on length of time for installation and I ended up having to leave it for the night and pick it up the next morning.

There is space between the entrance and the stairwell to build a freight elevator on to the building, and therefore have a freight in personal elevator.

However, we originally had a reservation at the Woodstock facility and upon arrival, learned that despite our reservation, they had no room for our RV. I had confirmed the reservation a week earlier. The young man behind the counter spent at least 20 min finding an alternate site for us; without him, this would have been a very frustrating experience.

We did not want to throw away anything valuable that we would not be taking with us, and we did not want to over pack the vehicle. So it was convenient to have a place to store our belongings in such a short notice. We had been moving for three days straight from a place that did not have elevators. So it was so rewarding to see that the storage facility had elevators and carts to help with moving. 10 out of 10! I would recommend and use uhaul again.

janice m | Expérience généraleWhere do I begin,...the UHaul app indicated a "drive-up," 24' storage was available at this location. When I called to confirm the day prior to my arrival, I was told they in fact did not have one available. Instead I was offered 2, 15' storages. I should have been given the price of the 24' storage for both 15's. Instead, the manager, Haley Radcliff, told me, "I'll give you the first month rent for free." Wait-that's already "company policy," -so how's that making it "right" for the customer?" So, nothing was really offered to make it right, nor were the 2, 15' storages adjacent to each other. I had used the UHaul app to locate a 24' storage and it showed Hickory Flat had one available, which is why I chose them over other facilities. I had an item (20' long) which would have fit in a 24' storage, instead I had to carry this item to another location which cost me more mileage and gas since I had to use the 24' truck to transport the item to and then return the truck back to Canton. Also, after my storage rooms were assigned I drove the 26' truck to the rooms only to find that they were both still locked (BTW, I had 5 friends come to help me unload; well, they had to wait til I went back thru the gate and to the office to ask someone to unlock the rooms). Finally, not attributed to this location was the problem with 2, 26' trucks. Let me explain. I rented a 26' truck from 6201 Cayce Lane, Columbia TN 3840. After completing the paperwork, I pulled out of the facility only to have to drive back in to the facility to tell them the breaks didn't work so I could hopefully get another truck. Well, they didn't have one available. They willingly made a call to a "higher authority" to get approval to give me a "truck that was either already assigned to someone else or it could have been a "fleet" truck??? - I don't know. Regardless, they gave me this second truck. Well, this substitute truck had a "Check Engine" light come on after I had the entire truck loaded and had just begun (6am) my drive to the Hickory Flat storage facility in Canton. I called 1800GOUHAUL while enroute to GA and they told me a static (not flashing) indicator would be "ok" to drive. Still, to have that light come on wasn't reassuring when you've just begun your 7 hour trip with a fully loaded truck with all your personal belongings. So, two questionable trucks and mishaps with my storage facility isn't leaving me with positive impressions of UHaul right now.

Brandy G | Expérience généraleFirst rented in 2018. U Haul office sold me a lock for the unit that was over $10. Two weeks later they called me and told me I had to have a round lock on the unit. Nine months later the roof leaked and got all our contents wet. We were given a unit on the second floor rather than the top floor and we had to move everything ourselves. After the move, our electric fund transfer was messed up and we got a notice we were late because the office did not transfer the electric fund transfer when they moved us to a unit that didn't leak. Twice in the next few months the only elevator in the building was broken and it took at least a month to get it fixed. We had to haul our bicycles upstairs. On Wednesday, 10/21, we went into the office and requested a larger unit. The manager, Haley, put one on hold for us for two days and wrote our name down beside the unit. We were willing to rent it right then, but she said no problem. She could hold it for a couple days. The next day, 10/22, we went in to rent the larger unit and move into it and they had rented it to someone else. The bathroom in the storage building is always filthy. The office area is always filthy with garbage falling out of the trash cans onto the floor. There is a dumpster in the parking lot that is filthy with trash laying on the ground all around it. We moved out and went to another storage facility within three miles that rented us the same size unit, $10 a month less, with 1/2 for the first three months. Won't do business at this U Haul ever again.
