While I had some difficulty getting started, (after hours move in) the staff were very patient and helpful in resolving the issue the next morning. (The doors and check-in process had a trick.) Be sure to show/learn all the tricks during business hours!

When I arrived it was not ready and the guy that checked me out just seemed out of it almost thought he was high. He told me to wait outside, and they would get the box. 20 minutes later some random vehicle dropped off a container under the overhang and 15 minutes later I walked in to see what was taking so long. The guy told me that he thought the box dropped off might be mine and that I should try my key on it to find out. I was very frustrated that no one told me that it was mine when they brought it around and that I had to come back in to find out what was going on. After we worked through that he had me back up so he could hook the trailer to my truck which I assumed he knew how to do but I was wrong. When I pulled out of the parking lot and a ways down the road the trailer was acting funny so I pulled over to find that he did not tighten the ball clamp at all and did not hook the chains up correctly so if it did fall off then it may have rolled away from the truck. Now for the drop off I had the opposite experience-the guy was friendly, on his game and very attentive. He quickly went through his checklist and checked me out. You should take a look at this location and maybe do a little more vetting or at least random drug testing.
CHRISTINE MCBEEI would probably not use UhAul again because of the experience I had with my late payment. I was very sick and couldn't make a payment so I was about a month late! Late fee is not a problem but when they put late fee in that of late fee and then tell me they were putting a lean on my 50 thousand dollar car I just had to laugh! I was very unhappy with their answers to my questions! I know the people that works their are just following directions! Everyone at the Kenai Alaska UhAul are amazing very helpful staff! Just not happy with U-Haul policy and trying to take your property! For this I'll never do business with them again! My bill was 64 dollars and it ended up being 145 because they charged me 3 late fees and a lien fee it's not right! Definitely a thumbs down!
ARTHUR BARBAZA | Expérience généraleEasy access. Love being able to pull inside to load/unload when it's raining. Always clean. Staff is easy to work with. There were a couple of digital glitches, but that's to be expected with any system and they were sorted out very well and timely.
Lucelia Graves | Expérience générale- Employee should know which truck is being rented and have it ready to go in minus 24 degree weather. We were freezing!! (We had to find it ourselves and start it for 15 min to warm it up) - Employee should know how to check a customer out ("computer issues" for over 20 minutes and unsure how to check out other items besides the vehicle.) - Employee said vehicle was at 1/4 tank for gas, but it was actually on empty. We had to immediately go put gas in it.
Doris PriceMy upod came from Colorado with pads and were all used. My stuff stayed safely in the upod from Sep 9 and eventually travelled to Kenai, Alaska. They then brought it down to me in Homer per our agreement. It was delivered on time, placed where I asked, allowed me to empty it, and it was picked up in a timely basis and it all went smoothly.

Roxanne MarkerThe agent didn't know what one of the codes on my contract was (I think it was KO). I didn't make the reservation so I didn't know either, so she took the item off the contract. She didn't tell me where to find my rental vehicle. I expected it to be waiting for me at the front like my previous u-haul rentals, but I had to walk around the parking lot in the snow to find it. When I did find it, it was covered in snow. I had to remove snow from the rear step to reveal the license plate to confirm it was the right one. The windshield, side windows, and mirrors were covered in snow and ice, and the inside of the windshield was frosty. I had to wait about thirty minutes for the vehicle to warm up enough to melt the inside of the windshield and dry the water off with my shirt, and use my arms to remove the snow from the outside. When I got to my destination, I had to shovel snow off the back to get to the door. The door handle was iced stuck and the door itself was frozen shut. When I did finally get the ice removed and the door open, the utility dolly that I paid for wasn't in the truck. Maybe there is a staffing issue, but you need to do a better job training employees and making sure your vehicles are ready for rental.

pavel ulianovTrailer that the U-Haul employee hooked up came off about 2 miles away. Was real scary, since it happened on a bridge on snowy and ice covered roads. Jarrod the manager and the guy that hooked it up were very apologetic.
GLEN MARQUISEveryone was great and everything was in good condition. Only note was that maybe next time the windshield could get ice scraped off prior to pickup. An attendant helped me out by spraying some deice spray, but it still ended up taking about 20 minutes of defrosting to get it clear enough to safely drive.
Eli HeinrichThe only worker had a line of customers. Two strolled in to "help" but went to work with the one other customer besides me. Then the first worker had to get help from both other workers to finish up the moving pod. The one worker who was going to help me ended up complaining and getting up to leave. Only to come back because who he left me with didn't know how to finish my rental contract. I spent 1 hour in there. I had waited 20 minutes only to have poor service attitude. I felt like our business didn't matter besides the male customers.

Jeremy GriemeThe FACILITY itself was awesome. Very clean and well maintained. I felt safe bringing my family there. But the STAFF, however, were trash. I've NEVER been to another business where the employees hatred for their job projects through work. I despised even calling to pay my bill because they were so downright RUDE. I rented equipment and trailers as well and will find elsewhere to do that from now on. One of the employees would close early and deny people access, refuse to take my cash and make my unit late, swear at me for demanding what I paid and scheduled for, throwing items across the lobby, or refuse to schedule a pickup because he was inconvenienced with the time. This place is POOR and I'll never recommend or return. Oh. And only the 2 managers are trained to handle cash??? What's that about!!!

Customers had to park outside on ice and wheel their items in and out of storage. Extremely poor business practice putting customers last.

Haylee SnegirevNo mention of only being one specific entrance after hours so I wasted two trips after work trying to access my storage. Called customer service & she was absolutely no help. I'm not sure why 10:00pm is the latest you can enter your storage? It should be 24/7 or at the very least 12:00am. Not very customer friendly in my opinion.

Initially only 2 out of the 4 containers I ordered were delivered because the driver wasn't able to safely back another into the driveway. He told me to call when the first box was full and he would driver the next. When I called I was told that the driver goes home for the day at 3pm and I would have to wait until the next day. Nobody mentioned this earlier or I would have tried to have the box filled by 2:30. When I called, I explained that they would need to pick up one box, then deliver the next. Because the driver didn't feel comfortable backing a third into the driveway the previous day. The person that I spoke to on the phone was short with me and dismissive. She said that they would be at my house the following morning. The following day I called at 10:00 to verify that they would be picking up and delivering my boxes. I had to be moved out by Friday. I again was met by a very unhelpful woman, when I tried to explain that they would need to move one box before delivering the next, she was dismissive. Approximately 40 min later someone arrived with another container. I tried to explain to her that they might have trouble backing another into the driveway. And that I had hoped that they would pick up a full box first. She was again dismissive, she then proceeded to struggle to back the trailer into the driveway…. I watched her try for about an hour and she never actually made it into the driveway. I called the store and expressed concerns. That I was supposed to have all 4 boxes the previous day, and now we were more than half way into the next day and I still didn't have a third. I asked if someone else could come deliver the box, as the person who had been trying was struggling and obviously wasn't going to be able to get the trailer into the driveway. A little while later another woman arrived, hauled off a box and left another. I asked if I was supposed to call when I was ready for the next. She said yes. I started calling about an hour later. Nobody would answer, and the calls kept rolling over to the corporate customer service line. It was now about 2pm and they wouldn't have a driver after 3pm. When I spoke to the corporate customer service line. They provided me with the same number that I had been trying for the past hour. I explained this, and was told that was the only line they had. I asked what to do if/when they didn't answer and was told to call back. I was then promptly disconnected. At this point I was very frustrated and a full day behind schedule to be packed. I drove to the store in Kenai. There was someone at the desk, and she said that their phones were forwarded because there was only one person there. I explained that it was unfortunate that hadn't been communicated to the customer that was told to call when ready for the next box. She tried to look up my reservation and didn't seem to know what was going on. She said that the manager was out delivering a box, but gave me her cell phone number. I called and she said that she would deliver the last box shortly. When she arrived I asked if I needed to call tomorrow to have the boxed picked up. She said that she "could come back tonight, but it was her sisters' birthday so she wasn't planning on working much later." The following day the boxes were picked up as promised. I have no really way of saying this politely, the is was worst communication and customer service that I have received in a long time. I did get the impression that the manager was doing the best she could, but seemed to be the only one who had any idea what was going on. Uhaul in Kenai had some serious room for improvement.

And this was the day BEFORE payment was due. According to my paperwork it didn't say anything about charging early and locking it without notice. We won't be using your facility again.

"Extended hours" was a bit weird, plain 24hr access would be nice. And trash cans. There were no trash cans anywhere. I even removed some trash from the "yard" place where you can donate stuff. When we swept our unit I had to take the dust pan clear to the bathroom garbage. We are finished moving and just don't need a unit anymore, but I'd utilize these again if we needed to.

The girl didn't communicate that she was on the phone talking to some one in an ear piece or air pod situation so when I thought she was talking to me she said I wasn't talking to you I'm trying to figure this out if you don't want to have to go to the front desk to check in then stop. Then three days later I get a phone call saying my storage unit is past due. My response how is my second storage unit I have rented from you all gone past due when it's on the same account as my other storage unit and I'm on auto pay! Extremely frustrating!!! Honestly thinking about moving all of my things and giving some one else my business worst customer service any where that I've received.

If customers are valued why tell them to take there RV for asking for receipt for leaving keys with them. Disputes can not be resolved with owner if she won't listen or talk to you to fix problems . I tried to go back to ask some questions, after visiting and securing the two spaces I rented, and after a significant wait as another customer was being helped, I had to leave for another appointment. I found two brand new locks on the floor of my two units, after having just bought two from the staff person and wanted to figure out what to do with them. I will stop in the next trip and see what I can find out. Extremely Clean, excellent security and access. Nice job.

David (Chuck) Swenor | Expérience généraleI parked 2 vehicles in October. I wanted to disconnect the batteries to prevent draining the power. Employee asked me not to, because if they had to move them it would be a problem. She also said she could run the cars periodicalIy. I called in January and asked if they could start the cars in order to keep the batteries charged. I was then told that there would be a $20 charge each time I requested this. I asked a friend to go there and put a trickle charger on the cars. Again, I was charged $20 in order to allow him to do it. When we returned in April the batteries were dead. The employee would not allow me to bring in another vehicle to jump start my cars. She said the manager says it was a liability issue. My truck was about 50 feet from a roll-up door. We could have easily brought another vehicle in to jump start my vehicles. I had to return the following day with a portable charger to start my cars. I live 45 miles from the facility, so I ended up needing 2 days to get my vehicles back. The employees I dealt with were fine, but were obligated to follow the manager's instructions. As for cleanliness, apparently there has been some construction going on inside. My vehicles and all the others around it were covered with a layer of concrete dust, which is highly abrasive.. My question to U-Haul is- If you are storing vehicles for extended periods, why not have a portable jump starter? It would be a minimal cost to provide an increased level of service.

Clyde Crandall | Premières impressionsStaff was friendly, she did make a mistake and put my middle name in as my last name and spelt it incorrectly but I caught it when she gave me a copy of my paperwork and she corrected it. I wasn't made aware that it was a U-Box and not an actual U-Haul storage so that was disappointing to find out after paying but I will still be using it (but I'm sure other customers would appreciate clarification ahead of time). The facility was clean but a second point of access would be convenient due to the fact that I have a 1 000 pound piece of equipment to move in and it will be a pain to haul all the way across the building since the second set of doors aren't open. Overall, it was a good experience, I just wish I was aware of the fact that it wasn't a normal U-Haul storage room, the typos weren't a big deal, just added a delay to the process, mistakes happen, I didn't mind, I'm just glad I caught that. I hope you guys open the second set of doors or will at least be accommodating and let me use them on Saturday when I move this equipment in.
