Here's the corrected version: "I appreciate the staff who are always ready to help. This was my first experience with a storage facility. When I got there, I expressed the same sentiment to the staff. The girl who was working there helped me a lot to understand the storage facility (I forgot her name). Highly recommend Princess St. U-Haul storage!"

The seatbelt signal on my truck was broken and kept beeping even when both seatbelts were secured. I called the main UHAUL line to determine if I should take it back and they decided to try and have the service team come to my home first but then called an hour later to say it wasn't possible and I'd have to take it back to the location and get a new one, and by that time the truck was loaded. When I could have just taken it back at the beginning. So that was frustrating but that part wasn't this location.

Make sure all the wiring on trailers are properly working. Staff checked but we had no clearance lights. Then still sent it out.

I paid an additional fee of 60$ deposit but with no explanation of how this gets refunded I was basically over charged 60$ at this point

I have a problem with the amount of the receipt that you are considering, where you are applying an extra charge for gas since I left the needle in the same place where it was delivered to me, I usually take photos of the board to avoid problems and this time it was not the exception, I would like to know why the charge? I suggest that to avoid misunderstandings, you always deliver the tank full and return it in the same way, since it is easier to fill the tank than to calculate the consumption. My storage locker was robbed twice. I lost around 2k worth of stuff (a bike, and some electronics). I have insurance on my Peterborough locker, so I thought I had insurance on this one because I didn't sign an agreement here until after I was robbed- so I assumed it was under the same agreement. Since I don't have insurance here, I'm just out of luck, and I lost all those possessions. No follow up from the manager, no credits given, they wouldn't even show me the video. The staff was nice, but largely ineffective, and didn't take any ownership over the problem. Honestly, the Peterborough U-Haul compared to Kingston is night and day in terms of quality.

I was not comfortable with the .that they would not allow me to go in and finalize the bill. We only had the truck for a couple hours and the outlet was still open when I got back and was told there was no one to help me and that they would do all the review of the equipment on their phone and submit the charge to my cc. I really did not feel that this was good customer service. I am going to need another truck in a few weeks and feel I need to look around and see who else rents the truck size I need

I picked up a u-haul truck for a one way trip and the engine light was illuminated. The staff were quick to check that it was related to a faulty O2 sensor. They quickly swapped me for a different truck but this truck had the same issue. I eventually just took the truck as I was advised it was okay to proceed with this light illuminated. Staff were great throughout the process but picking up two trucks with the same problem was annoying.

This location rented me unsafe equipment. When I picked up the truck there was a check engine light showing. The store employee checked the code with his diagnostic tool and cleared it without looking it up. He said that it was "probably an oxygen sensor fault... happens all the time... don't worry". I had to pick up a trailer in Ottawa, and the check engine light came on again. The Ottawa U-Haul store employee checked the code on his computer and confirmed that the truck was un-rentable in that condition. Luckily they had another vehicle to swap out. Bottom line, the Kingston store sent me on a one-way rental to Winnipeg, driving unsafe equipment. I won't be using this store again.

The trailer was in good condition but one of the binders for the retaining strap was badly rusted and very difficult to operate and it is a critical part for the safe transportation of the load.

The IT situation at this location is abysmal. The poor staff were trying but unable to check me out due to outdated and insufficient hardware and or software. There was about 30 minutes of just waiting to pay. For some people, that wait could have made them quite irate. I suggest some more care with the computers and server, invest in a more efficient staff and customer experience.

Everything went exactly as planned. The check-in was very quick once I arrived in the morning and the uhaul was in great shape. Really can't beat the cost!

I left a set of keys and building fob for my apartment and need to pick them up tomorrow.. It was too late to get them because we had put uhaul fob into alot and returned and then released we had left our set of keys on the dashboard slot..I'd appreciate to pick them up tomorrow before someone takes truck March 22 as early as possible as I do need them and don't want them lost.

Only reason for not a perfect score was not the fault of staff. It was due to technology issues with U-Haul systems. Working in IT it's frustrating to see slow poorly run IT systems.

Give back a refund of money when you give client 2nhrs and they only use 1hr. Plus, online it says you can use a bank debit Visa at the rental yet you can't so I was forced into a uhaul for $50 when I reserved a van at $20. I only used vehicle for 7km and again paid $50

Trailer was not clean like a U-haul truck would be, but this was irrelevant. The trailer was well equipped and maintained and worked very well for moving my disabled vehicle. An easy and positive experience both renting the trailer, picking it up, using it, and returning it. Well done U-Haul.

Online Reservation process became "bumpy" - wasn't easy to reserve for 3 days. Agents on telephone call to modify reservation were very helpful. Staff at this location were courteous and very helpful - I highly commend them. Vehicle return was expeditious.

The manager on duty (I believe, young man with a brown beard) flipped out in front of his staff and employees in an extremely unprofessional manner. He threw the keys on the floor for the employee to pick up and when people gave him a look he said "well I can't throw them at your head". I was disgusted someone like this can have power over anyone else.

Upgrade equipment....Truck had almost 100k and needed new seats. A little more customer focus at check in would be good. I felt I was interrupting their time . Returning truck was great and rep was very professional and friendly.

I found one girl very rude and ignorant has no clues on customer care especially when we leave money into your paychecks, I was told I'd give that one extra day to remove a bed out of my storage facility they went and put a lock on it and I had to pay an extra month where I lost my keys on 16th had to get a locksmith then that my van broke down cost me $600 to remove my bed that includes the extra $100 fee for an extra month I did not need I went the next day to remove my bed out of the storage locker and there was a lock on the door and the gentleman would not remove it I told the girl never to speak to me again in the phone she speaks with I find some stuff including the manager extremely rude to the people who put a paycheck pockets the manager should have gave me the extra day to remove the bed then the locker would have became available to rent to others, I'm not impressed with the conduct of one girl and one or two staff members there they need to improve their customer relations8

Warn your customers on the lower level about the pipes that go through first go in I bang my head off the sprinkler system pipe and I got a little bit of a nasty bump on my head you should taste the paint all your pipes in the locker yellow with caution watch your head they have to go down to the hospital tomorrow I have a headache since

Didi not have a larger unit available as per rep mentioned the morning I visited. I would have appreciated a call to confirm it was the smaller unit and try to find two together. As I booked a truck I received one month free rental but that only applied to one unit not the second that was needed. I feel due to the amount of money I have spent with U-Haul, the second unit fee could have been waived for the month as well.

Gave me wrong lovker at first your web site is vomfuding and misleading info but moral of story... guy corrected mistake. I was not upset on pricing just gave me wrong locker is all from what i reserve.. great unit...i thought slip leval was the locker with a shelf...not upstairs downs stairs split level a gew stairs does not matter to me..

Staff denied usage of said storage unit stating I would take advantage of the free month. They stated that policy was to only honor the free storage at the destination. The destination doesn't have a storage facility.

I paid for the storage unit, added items into the unit locked it and left. The next afternoon I return to the unit and find a lock from uhaul on the door that says I haven't paid my fee. So I proceed to front counter and show my receipt for it being paid and was let into my storage unit. This was very inconvenient to say the least. I do not see how paying 216 is worth being locked out of my unit the next day, this needs to be remedied or I will leave the facility and find somewhere else to use for storage. Is anyone going to make this better ?

when working/sorting things in our storage unit 1813, the hallway light often went off and made it pretty dark in there. wish the sensor lights stayed on a bit longer. I also found it a bit challenging accessing the entrance for unloading/loading. Access cards would be so much handier than walking-in the main office when staff are often so busy or not available.

I am disappointed. I am being harassed with emails and mails about bills that I didn't incur. I only used 1 storage space and I exited the space before it was due and I'm getting bills for another storage that your staff mistakenly added to my account. Please stop harassing me with bills and talk to the staff at the Kingston location.

Hello, The Storage unit was clean and I did not have any problem. But for three months they were charging me extra money and the manager instead of fixing the issue was insulting me that they did not charge me extra money until I called Uhaul customer service and they open a case for me and fixed the issue. Do not accept any pre-authorized payment. Merci.

When I was at the location everything was amazing. Wonderful staff and very clean place. I had trouble contacting the office. I live 7 hours away so needed to speak to someone at the facility. I called at least 40 times at different times and no one ever answers the phone. It goes to the call center. The wait time can be an hour to speak to someone and then they are unable to answer the question because they are not at the facility. I even tried speaking to my local uhaul to see if they could get through. The answer was no. Even though it is a pandemic, I think the local phone should be answered. Thanks

Confusing as to why the u-haul system requires 3 phone contacts and 2 addresses to rent a storage room. Alternatively phone contacts I understand, but a 2nd address does not make sense. Staff was very helpful in the setup process overall!

The parking lot is often difficult to maneuver; sometimes the rental trucks and trailers almost block the entrances to the storage unit area. This makes it hard to park close to load and unload.
