Extremely quick and efficient. Both pick up and drop off or less than five minutes. This is an excellent location and extremely organized. However, the equipment is a bit old and clunky.
DAVID HElevator was not working for over 5 days. Did not tell us when we rented the truck and storage. Staff told us to move a big double door fridge up the fire escape stair. Not safe. We rented elsewhere. Staff said would como us the extra miles. Ended up like pulling teeth to get the credit and gasoline allowance cos we had to drive the uhaul truck further. A bad experience with uhaul. They need to shape up customer service otherwise they will loose customers.

Afshin SThe lot worker did not know how to hook up my rented trailer, guide my truck back to the hitch, or how to test the trailer lights. The right turn signal and brake lights did not work on the one side. When I returned the trailer a new lot worker said I would be charged $25 for not folding my 6 moving pads, and pointed to a sign. The sign only said to bring the trailer back clean, which I did.

PAUL ZHad to call roadside assistance when we had planned to return back from Rosemead due to a starting problem. Roses Road Side removed the battery terminal for 15 minutes and reset the electric problem. We managed to return home the same day but it put us back 2 hrs.

Tom GI returner my appliance dolly but got no receipt or verification email that the item was returned. I think a confirmation in writing (email or receipt) would be great. The guy looked up my name in the system and said you're all checked in, but that's all I got. Everything else was perfect!

mohammad jYou need a way to help reimburse for overfilling of the gas tank. I had 1/4 of a tank over what was needed for my drop off and I just lost that money. I filled the tank 130 miles from my destination and still ended up with overfill. The tank was much larger than I realized and since people will not be familiar with mpg it is unreasonable to expect them to know how much to put in the tank. If you can offer a credit / price deduction for a low tank at pick-up, the same can be offered at drop off. really disappointed in this aspect of your business.

Clifton OLook, this entire process has been convoluted and mis-communicated to me as a customer. I worked with an agent online, through my cell phone and the chat feature, to establish a pod reservation for my move. Not only did I feel myself repeating things over and over to this agent in the chat, but also the agent on the chat confirmed my reservation (on more than one occasion) that my pods were going to be loaded at a location in Costa Mesa, or 2680 Newport BL, 92627. HOWEVER, that U-Haul location DOES NOT do pods, at all. I called and the man who answered the phone at that location confirmed with me that they haven't done pods there in months, or even a year. That confused me, so I had to figure out WHERE the heck I needed to go. Turns out my reservation was always at this location, or 25290 Jeronimo Rd Lake Forest CA 92630. OK< not that big of a deal, but it meant more time and more money spent on getting to a location that was 14+ miles away than previously intended. I hired movers, they charge by the hour, and they charge by distance driven. When we arrived at 25290 Jeronimo Rd Lake Forest CA 92630 there was confusion as to which pods were assigned to me. When I went inside to inquire, there was no one working the counters. I had to go back outside to the lot and find an employee to ask about my pods, and the reservation. I was told "I think your pods are over there, but your name and/or reservation information should be displayed on them somewhere." With my movers standing idly by, I looked over the three pods, and while they looked like they were my reservation, there was no paperwork to indicate my name or anything to confirm." Confused, I walked back inside the facility to again ask if they were in fct my pods. At the counter I was told, "well, didn't you get your pod numbers assigned to you?" I informed the guys that I had asked about that in the live chat, but was never provided that information. Even when I called and asked on the morning of my reservation I was still never provided any pod #'s. Francisco, the employee, took my information and then on his computer he printed out the pod #'s and told me to go outside and confirm. I did that, and finally confirmed my pods so that I could start the process of loading them in. I marked staff as NO when it came to friendly and helpful because I had to do a lot on my end to figure out my pods, which ones were mine, and to confirm the reservation + having to go out and locate the guys. And you know what, they're nice guys, but just rather devoid of emotions and almost numb acting...as if working on a Saturday is beneath them, and I get it, working with customers can get irksome. I also received conflicted information regarding the furniture pads. Francisco said I WILL NOT be charged any pads as long as I return them at the end of my pod move. However, I was also informed that using furniture pads in any way I would get charged? I am still not sure. I think in the end the miscommunication was the biggest issue, and then calling around to confirm my reservation location + pod numbers was more work than it had to be.

We were nervous because we never did the boxes/pods before and always drove a Uhaul truck. Never will drive again! The pods were secure and delivered exactly according to the timeline. Tim WThe only negative experience was that I added package of 12 moving blankets and they were not in the truck !!! I was clearly billed for the rental & reimbursed; But the inconvenience of getting to the customer's location & discovering this short fall isn't sitting with me with guaranteed support !!

Staff had hooked up my trailer to my truck while I was doing the rental paperwork, so all I had to do was my own light/safety check and then drive off the lot. Return was the same, staff unhooked the trailer within minutes of my returning the trailer. This location is a well run operation.

Maria WI have used UHaul on two occasions reently. in both instances I received an estimated cost receipt automatically without having to request it. However, in order to see a final transaction receipt I had to go request it. Why is that not automatic as well?

I rented a unit online, filled out all the forms, uploaded identification and supplied payment info only to find out none of it was logged into the system for my rental unit, only the van rental which was made at the same time. I have a receipt with the storage unit but in store they had no record of the rental. I had to then pay for a more expensive unit because I was told the unit I had rented online had already been rented out.

Other than that it was clean everybody's helpful. I feel safe because the pull and garage. The bathrooms are always spotless. The only other thing is the lights keep turning off, but I'm in the middle of putting stuff in the storage. I think they're on sensors but it's hard when you're in total dark and you're trying to find where the sensors at. But all in all it was great I would definitely recommend it to somebody else.

The young man who helped me at the counter this time was excellent - professional, courteous, everything he should have been. He also voluntarily helped me take the supplies I purchase to my car without me asking for help. I didn't get his name, but in the future I'll pay attention to names so that I can comment on specific people. As far as the storage facility goes, I used it for several months in 2021-2022. Obviously, I wouldn't keep a storage unit for that long or rent again this year if I was not perfectly satisfied with my experiences.

Charging to use the dumpster to clean out our unit? The guy who installed my hitch on my car was not friendly, did not even try to communicate well and was rude. All in all the only reason for not giving it a one star was the ability to book online and terminate online. This place has a lot to fix - start with the alarm system it is unacceptable

They come in freely to use the facility's bathroom. My female worker was accosted by one a few weeks back. This male worker kept pushing her to enlist his help. She did not need it and told him so. She even went to the front desk to report him. But no one came out to escort the guy away. My female employee finally decided to leave the facility. Now having to be unable to finish her task of unloading the items. Please only allow access to customers that have rented units there. Do NOT allow outside people access to facility and thereby accosting my workers. I've heard that this issue existed before and was never dealt with by the owners of UHaul. Don't want to ruin my relationship with the staff at UHaul. It is not their fault that they are not allowed to do certain things either. But I also have to look out for the safety of my workers when they are onsite. Merci.

Then when I was getting ready to leave, I am handicap and I was parked in a handicap spot, one of your female employees came up to my door and banged on it very loudly to the point of it scaring my dog and making him bark. She then began questioning what i was doing there and telling me that I needed to move somewhere else. I told her I was leaving and that was what I did.

Very new and state of the art facility very VERY clean and nice air conditioning , one downside is some customers can be a little nosey and will go and tell the front desk if you spend more time in the restroom than they think you should 😄😄😆😁OTHER THAN THAT THE PLACE IS PERFECT👍👍👍❤️👌👌👌👌💯🙏🏼🙏🏼😁😁😁😁😁

It was a 30 second question. Uhaul, in general, needs more staff. Your customer service line is a disaster. Also, $1,39/mile is highway robbery. You should make a points program for customers as some of us are frequent renters. The month free storage is nice, but not everyone needs it. Why don't you do a points program in which we can use the points for whatever we want, including buying down the mileage charge? Make your customers feel more desired and not just like dollar signs.

We wore coming back with one truck to get other staff out. We had two additional mover coming to my house to help unload. At 4pm truck and 3 mover and us came back to storage to pick up rest. They told me it will take hour and half to go and bring staff and left 4 mover to put the staff to getter. They came back at 8:30 pm and left my house at 10:00pm My husband called and said the key to one storage doesn't open and that was storage was full and ask me if I have any. It was disaster at my house looking for key and we didn't know what to do . I told them to come back since I don't want to pay hourly to mover and finally he went inside and they said nothing and after hour wait this guy said they changed the lock or key or something and keep looking for key and after hour he find key and we got our staff I am not satisfied and had to pay my mover a lot money Please call me asp 9498423941 You guyed need to pay for my extra cost No one contact me about change of key or any thing The office didn't know any thing and they had to keep looking to find key Vida

Had to go back to get a new key two days later, when I was due to move 3 hours away! Went back to unload after hours, and my entry card was not activated! Phillip has zero customer service and I'll be calling corporate over his bs and the total Lack of security to the building. I was still able to get in, without a key card, Phillip! We got everything in except our couches and then found out our couches would not fit through the doorway. We asked for help and the first agent said, "what am I supposed to do about it?" We asked the 2nd agent to just give us a small unit to put our couches in so we didn't have to move everything and were told no. She wouldn't do anything except give us a new unit. No one would help us move our stuff, no apology, and no compensation. I never leave bad reviews but this was bad service. 3 extra hours of work for a fault that was not ours.

We then had to be switched to another unit and were finally able to move in.
