I was actually booked at a different location for my reservation and was send to the location that help us and we had the best experience even with the change of locations. Grateful we ended up where we did as it was a stress free and very friendly service. Highly recoomend this location for any/all your moving needs.

I put it way more fuel than there was when I received the vehicle ($100 in fuel to be exact) and I would have liked to get some money back in return. Disappointed that I wasn't compensated for returning the vehicle with much more fuel than I got it with.

Our contract printout indicated a different drop off from the one indicated by the online app. This is horrible and underhanded business practice. Please fix the discrepancy so that customers do not get penalized for UHaul's oversight.

Although I returned the trailer 30 minutes late. I explained that several accidents on the freeway caused at least a thirty minute delay. When I received the final bill, had been charged double. Since there were plenty of trailers on the lot, no one was inconvenienced, a little flexibility on the penalty might have been called for. I am a long time customer and hope to remain so

The parking lot drop off area had a bunch of nails scattered throughout making it unsafe to drive on. I thought for sure I was going to get a flat tire. Staff were very nice and apologetic.

The staff from start to finish was so nice, helpful, patient, friendly & never once lost their smiles. I didn't get a chance to get their names, but again everyone was so kind. It's rare to see this type of kind energy these days. Thank you to the Uhual Lemon Grove staff off Massachusetts.

I did paperwork and was given the keys. I get out to my rental . Then the attendant Says to me didn't they tell you it won't start. I was curious ,then the attendant say's that somebody is going to jump start. It took 20 minutes for truck to get Jump-started . So my contract said I rented at 8:30am when actually finally they jumped the truck it was 9:05am. I will take my rental needs to a another U-Haul.

Give clear direction on gas type to put in truck, nothing was labeled and I had to Google it to confirm it took gas and not diesel.

Due to unfortunate circumstances I needed the use of U haul twice in a months time. The first time I didn't have a reservation and they were able to get me set up with a van U haul with no hassle or time wasted. The second time I knew to make a reservation and again, it was smooth picking up another van with no issues or delays. Despite the busyness of the day, all the employees were kind, patient and helpful with everyone waiting for assistance. They are very well organized and timely. Can't say enough about an easy and seamless process. Thankyou to all the employees at the Lemon Grove location for all your hard work. I hope I don't need you for awhile but if I do.....I'll be back.

By exception of one assistant manager who was rather rude I'm the evening shift, everyone else was very helpful.

Customer service was bad for me. I let a worker know I had a reservation and then proceeded to help a couple that wanted a truck and spent 10+ minutes helping them. Another worker came by and helped the man who arrived AFTER me because he was making a payment for storage. During my transaction I was interrupted once again due to another customer "already has a trailer I just want to get her out" and made some payment, delaying my pick up even further. I arrived at 9:34 and didn't leave till about 9:55, felt like the 5 hour reservation I made was actually 4 and a half due to the delay. Regardless, customer service needs improvement 

The only issue I had was with the main U-Haul customer service. My pick-up location was changed the night before without confirming with me. My assigned drop-off location didn't even accept trucks over 15' and I couldn't find a secondary drop-off location without the approval of the main U-Haul customer service.

The truck did not have a ramp, would have been useful if the agent I formed me. He wasn't very friendly at the check-in. When leaving the check engine light came on. Never went off. I didn't get a paper copy at check-in.

The teammate who helped is was very good Our issue was the 10' truck we rented was supposed to be 1/4 full, we get into the truck and it's BELOW empty, we got no assistance from the manager/ owner, we had to chance getting to a gas station to fill tank Returned truck with plenty of gas and still have not received any credit The excuse for why the tank was pretty much on fumes was " we have an issue with people confining gas around here "

They were super helpful and accommodated me when I ran out of room and got me set up quickly so I could continue to move out of the UHaul truck. So grateful we found this place! Everyone we encountered was professional, helpful, and working hard!

You get average because the manager was amazing…. The facility was not great. It took over an hour to get stairs to start moving. And that is only because the manager worked hard to get them to fit. Maybe not be greedy and take some units out to make it easy to maneuver the stairs without a struggle!

The online reservation or APP needs to be written so that your employees and costumers waist less time. Everything I put in the App had to be redone when I got the facility. It is frustrating to fill in information twice.

I was not aware that some storage areas are on an upper level that requires stairs. I should have read the fine print more carefully. Be sure to read the descriptions online of the storage space provided.

The only complaint I had was how extremely difficult it was to access my upper unit. The ladder provider was horrible to maneuver. It definitely took two people to try and even that was not easy. Other than that customer service was always good and respectful.

Briasia was patient with me in helping me get set up for my first unit. When I needed another because I misjudged my space, she was quick to help me find an additional one. The man who checked in my truck was very kind. And the person who helped my mom (78 years old!) drive my car closer to the unloading was so nice to her. Another worker saw we may need another cart for unloading and she went and found one for us. I'm truly grateful I found this place!

The only thing I would have to comment about is that it's a little hard to get onto the upper level storage. The ladder was very steep, but overall we liked the price for the storage unit.

The U-Haul experienced two roof leaks, I was called at work to come and move items to another storage room. I did not understand the rate increase every month. There were no carts readily available for me when I shut down the storage. The food was that the storage was in my neighborhood.

The lock was totally gone or missing when I went. To check in the green plastic tie had already been broken and lock that I was told should have been in the unit. For me to use and place on my unit ??? WAS GONE MISSING !! When I went in the unit at about 9:30 pm last night !! The only thing I can say I really can give a positive opinion about is the location of my assigned unit !! First one just inside the double doors would have been very convenient! The only other very concerning issue was / is the obvious , very recent water stains that are evident from a water leak that has run down the support pole holding up the roof, which shows that it encroached into the unit we just rented? As well as the water staining in our unit on our walls, & floor!! So I did not move into this unit yet!

The owner of the facility was extremely cordial and very customer oriented/friendly. I was closing my storage unit out and it was a very stressful situation for me and my family. I love the convinience of the late hours. Never over crowded. People are friendly. What I liked the best is they waived my November payment since I didn't get my paycheck on time and just waiting to rent another time with you.

The only complaint I have is the accessibility for the storage on top. I am a disabled veteran. Safety is my first priority and concern. To have someone step up in a ladder to put items in or take them out is dangerous. I was very surprised, discouraged and saddened that a woman or men for that much will have to climb up on a ladder to retrieve their belongings. What happened if you are inside, someone takes the ladder, how are they supposed to get down. You all ( if you haven't) eventually have a law suit file against you for negligence if someone falls. That was a deal breaker for me. Other than that. Everything was great. Your website needs to describe in detail that the storage is on top of another one and you have to climb a ladder with steps to enter or exit.

Some of my items stored in #280 was stolen and the rest had water damage on them. Police report was filed. The items were insured with UHALL. Most vital items (among others) were my retirement portfolio (Gold Coins and watches - over $100,000) I am still waiting to hear from UHALL in Lemon Grove since October 2022. I hope to receive some support from UHALL as soon as possible.

We had two units. One unit was well lit but the smaller temperature controlled unit was very dark. Staff are very good. I had a horrible experience at the last U-Haul storage facility in Texas. Lemon Grove in CA was much better.

Everything was great except for the outside area. It was dirty, empty food containers, bottles, garbage all over the sidewalk and parking lot. Also some sketchy people hanging around the facility that made it feel unsafe if I had been the alone.

Move in was very complicated. Didn't know where to check in…! Went to get help from the customer service. They were friendly, but not very helpful. First time I went to customer service they helped me check in, and showed me on a map where my unit was. Walked around the whole placed still confused about where my unit was, and when I found it, it was locked! I went back and water in line again in customer service explaining I couldn't get into it. They sent the trainee to unlock my locker, and there was not a lock ready for me to apply. After going back to customer service a 3rd time explaining I rented online they gave me a lock, and sent me on my way.

The inside of my unit was unfinished concrete, with dust and crumbled concrete all around. There was no lighting inside the inside the unit, and next door, labelled mechanical room was racks of servers, and a multitude of monitors. This dealership, just to make clear, had become a target of frequent smash and grab runs, some involving equipment. One day, there were three intelligence analysts in the mechanical room studying their footage of the theft of a truck off the lot. Literally, a veritable hub of Intel for the border just south via the rail line. 10/10 I would trust my stuff to them yet again. Bang on staff, management that will surprise you with the best deal even you least expect it, and really understanding.. Do not go to the National City location. They are like visiting OCS on pick up day.

We had an unfortunate reservation mix up that cost us to lose much needed time & money. I had made the reservation online for a 4x7x8 size unit weeks prior. Our son wanted to move some items in prior to our arrival/original move in date of May 22. I was able to change it to May 20 but unfortunately our son ended up not being able to borrow a truck so he did not go, which ended up being a "no show" resulting in canceling the entire reservation. I was not made aware of this cancellation policy so was very surprised to show up on the 22nd, no reservation to be found & discovering that this particular size was no longer available-only a larger, more expensive 8x10 was. We were in a 'must have' situation since we were only there to help our son for the day & the Uhaul truck we had rented at this same location was waiting. I feel a simple phone call or email to notify me of this change/no-show/cancel policy would have alleviated a lot of stress.

Having a Ubox was inconvenient. The actual unit i switched too was better in that aspect. Clean facility. And secure. The staff change alot. Not always practicing good Customer Service. Long waits. Constant mix ups.

Gina, the marketing manager, and Daniel Rios, the general manager, we both service-oriented and compassionate. Kelli, the assistant manager, however, was not. She did not look for solutions and has rigid and uncompromising decision making tendencies, which is not helpful to customers, especially during an unprecedented pandemic. Gina was amazing through. She acknowledged my concerns and apologized, which is everything to a customer, and she followed up to ensure resolution was reached. In doing so, she'll have a repeat customer and referrals from me.

Renting storage space from U-Haul was the easiest ever!! No contracts and oodles of paperwork to fill out, just pay and store, SIMPLE!! I appreciated this more than anything. On Friday July 31st, everything was excellent great customer service dispit the traumatic experience everyone dealt with, the online had a mess of things but Levi helped us and accommodating me in my time of need. On Sunday the 8/2/20 I had a different experience I did not receive the care like on Friday, I was not pleased with how the day turned out due to not having all information. On 8/4/20 my storage had a flood and Levi again went above and beyond helping me get my unit in order, Daniel the manager went above and beyond as well. I'm happy they helped me.

Staff at U-Haul made moving in easy and convenient, thank you! I appreciated not having oodles of paperwork to complete, just a few questions to answer, and boom, all done! I also appreciate receiving the move-in bonus of a free month! How could I go wrong with all of these conveniences?

So unorganized. Every single step of the way there were problems. Staff needs to be trained. Very poor customer service. You kept incorrectly billing me and I would call to fix it. Thinking it was resolved I then would receive emails saying I still owed. This happened multiple times. I then went in person and they would look up my account and say everything was fine. I then would receive another email so back in person I went- 4 different times. I spent so much time on the phone and going into the facility to resolve your mistakes. Then you sent my emergency contact a bill-this was my father and it got him very upset thinking I wasn't paying my bills. My dad had a heart attack and stroke a year ago and upsetting him was extremely upsetting to me. Final straw, I moved out and went to the office to inform you all that I was moving. I was assured I was moving out on time and would not be billed. I was billed and told I was late and there would be a lean on my property which is a joke since I emptied out the storage unit. You guys have your heads up you know where. Never doing business with uhaul again.

Management permits homeless to live in units. They pretend they don't allow it but they don't do anything to stop it. I moved out of the unit with belongings filled with roaches. Just terrible!

The facility needs a lot of repairs specially the roof the ceilings are leaking pretty bad when it's raining . I had to close my storage unit. I wouldn't recommend the business it's very disappointin.

They were under staffed and had no functioning forklift. My U-Boxes had to come on 3 separate trailers, taking up way too much space and making the unloading process much more difficult.
