U-Haul called me and asked that I tow a trailer back to Monroe for them where they didn't have the necessary equipment for another family I agree when I thought I was driving a 10-ft truck, after they called and text several times in the next two days I finally went and picked up the trailer that was not 6 ft long it was 12 ft long to Monroe from Muskegon with minimal trailer experience which meant I had to drive 55 to 60 mph. And because I had a truck full of equipment and apartment furnishings I tried to drop off the trailer before unloading my truck and was unable to unhook the trailer without assistance and then had to take it home and unload my truck to then go back and turn in my rentals. When I called to get help on how to unhook the trailer and check out my equipment the customer service agent was unable to give me any directions and told me I was going to have to just leave the keys and call tomorrow. I was in tears trying to figure out how 110 lb woman was going to unhook a trailer from a truck by herself. Ultimately I ended up figuring out for myself how to check the equipment in with no help from the customer service agent I'm extremely disappointed with my rental experience all the way around. Towing a trailer for you guys was not worth the amount of time and money I had to spend on gas and going to and from locations instead of dealing with my move and being done. I don't think I would rent from you again after this weekend.

carol boddenI rented a trailer for my car, the sales agent gave me a 30 second overview and said there's instructions on the trailer, then he walked away. No help at all, and he didn't inspect the car before I left. Very disappointed!!

Edward LovellThe trailer was hooked up to my vehicle by Uhaul and they did a great job! My final receipt for payment was received after dropping off at my destination location. Only problem I have is the estimated charge is still pending because merchant has not done their part. So, now I have over double the amount in my account...my bank is unable to take the amount off hold! Uhaul needs to work a little better on this.

Melanie YoungloveI was charged for fuel even though I refilled it to the 5/8th tank mark it was at when I picked it up and had a gas receipt. Pretty ridiculous to charge people after the fact for doing what was contractually obligated. Bad business, will not return.

We had it for 30 minutes, brought it back and the doors were locked 30 minutes before closing time. I had to call customer service to have them call and have someone come check the dolly back in after standing outside for 30 minutes. We are not the only people waiting outside as well.

Thomas WalentowskiRented a car trailer for 2 days. When I picked it up they said if I were to drop it off a day early they would refund me my 2nd day. Well, I dropped it off an hour after my 24 hour period, but since they were "closing" they still are charging me for 2 days even though I brought it back an entire day early. Also the manager is very rude after calling and asking about my refund. She said "oh, I don't know why we would say that. You returned it an hour after your pickup time (ONE DAY EARLY) so you're being charged for 2 days. Just don't go there. It's worth going the extra miles to another u-haul to not deal with selfish & rude people that won't keep their word.

TERRI LOOPE | Expérience généraleThe truck was really kinda old and worn out. But it was clean and it got me where I needed to go. Also, I think it's a little dishonest how you measure the trucks. Your 20' truck is measured at the top of the box and includes "mom's attic" space for just over 1000' cubic feet. A Penske 20' is measure at the bottom of the box and has about 1200 cubic feet of space. If I'd realized the difference before I rented, I would have rented the Penske truck. Because of the difference, I had to leave several items, including a nearly new BBQ, a dresser, and my mower, behind. You advertise "mom's attic" as extra space, but you also include it in the box footage. Seems dishonest to me.

Frank HoneyI just want to say that Elijah was wonderful! He was kind, funny and helpful. My seat wouldn't move and he fixed it for me and explained the bar sometimes gets stuck and showed me how to fix it. When I dropped off the truck he was right there with a huge smile to help!

Come to find out I had to return the truck via the mobile app. This process was just as slow and unhelpful as the check in process. Mobile app failed multiple times and I had to contact customer service. Another poor experience

It wasn't resolved until I went into the location.. another deposit on the unit I emptied and notified the attendant on September 5th(Labor day) wasn't apparently closed on their records til the 9th. They did not check me out of my unit- I took the manager out to show it was empty and clean- so I received a email saying I had a late fee and another months payment due. They changed the size of my truck rental and did not inform me so I had to make more trips and pay extra in fuel and borrow extra personal vehicles. It was an overall terrible experience.

Initially, the staff was unhelpful and uninterested, but the price was right and how much could it matter when my stuff is just sitting in a unit? it didn't, until about a year in, when i was "moved out" in their system and moved back in so that they could try to charge me significantly more than i had been paying. It took months of phone calls and phone transfers just to pay your company money. No one could fix the issue and they just expected me to accept that new rate. After 4-5 months and help from jessica (who is one of the only good employees i've come across there) my billing was corrected, but i never could make online payments again. When we moved out, the two women working were both friendly and helpful as well, with the unit and truck rental. however, we did have some mouse droppings in our unit. Overall, it was a hassle and not worth the headache to literally just set stuff in a room. I wouldn't use your company again for storage.
