Service was good. Truck was a pile of junk with 150 000 miles on it. Sure the gas milage suffered from the high milage. the engine would rev really high at stop lights and the truck had issues stopping.

The customer service was not the best for me at this location. I was taken advantage of and overcharged. I've never used this service and if I would have interacted with a better representative it would have saved me over $100. Unfortunately New Bern is a racist town if I were a different color maybe I would have been better assisted. I can't change my skin but I can change where I spend my money.

The facility was very clean, and the employees were very friendly. They took us through how to badge in and showed us on the cameras where to go. That was very helpful. One drawback was that there were several nails and screws on the ground outside of the area where you park your vehicle going into the storage units themselves. Overall, it was a very good experience.

At first, the restrooms and inside of the climate controlled areas were very clean. Construction on the inside of the climate controlled area made a dusty mess, that covered my storage items. Also, the last three non consecutive days of accessing my storage unit, I observed roaches scurrying in the hallway and restroom area. Overall, my experience was good, but I was not pleased with the construction dust, debris, or seeing roaches in the common areas.

The process was easy and they answered all my questions. The staff was kind and fun to talk to. My only complaint is whenever i set up my storage unit, i talked to the staff member and told them that at the time of my next payment due date, i would be unable to come in and pay and would not be able to access the website due to being out of state and very busy. They told me that they could help me set up an automatic payment through my bank account and that's what we did. The time came of when my unit rent was due and Uhaul did not automatically take it out and i was charged a late fee of 15$ - I called customer service and explained and they said that i wasn't set up with the automatic payment system but told me we can do it over the phone (which we did) - they ended up still charging me the 15$ on top of my original payment.

I have used storage facilities before but none of them provided the quality, cleanliness, convenience and features that the U-Haul of New Bern did. First class all the way. I hope I don't need a storage facility in the future but if I do I will definitely use this one. Thank you U-Haul. You are doing it right.

Extremely happy with the staff and facility. Nice knowledgeable and friendly. It is a shame that some of the renters throw their stuff away in what is supposed to be a share area where other people may be able to use something and staff has to deal with the cleanup.

Great location with easy access for RVs. Electric hook up at RV site has been down and been challenging, however I understand that it has been repaired. Look forward to parking my camper again later this year.

Everytime there the gentleman working was rude, grumpy and he had no help. The elevator was out of service in August and it was still in October. All of our things were heavy and on the 2nd floor. When someone pushes 3 for third floor it shuts the elevator down. Reported it to the local fire marshal and will be reporting it to the state elevator inspector. If they are not going to fix the elevator they should not rent units above ground level. Frustrated and will not use uhaul again. Many others felt the same way yesterday.

Elevator kept shutting down when the door was held open to remove belongings. Had to wait for the arrogant U-haul attendant to reset. No urgency to get the Elevator running again.

The storage units were clean and air conditioned and kept my household goods in great shape. Access was secure and easy to operate. My unit is on the second floor. The elevator stopped working and we were trapped on the 2nd floor. We call the GM on his after hrs cell. But never heard anything back! It was extremely hot on the 2nd floor as well. There needs to be a cooler temperature on that floor. I am disabled and having to navigate the steps was very dangerous. My son had to finish moving my items on the u-haul truck up the stairs. It was absolutely ridiculous!!! Apparently this elevator malfunctions often because the door is help open when people are trying to move their items off the elevator. This must be addressed!!

There were some hiccups initially with the fob and with the space number assigned, but those were worked out satisfactorily. The storage area for boats and RVs is exceptionally nice. It is completely covered and the surface area is covered in gravel. Driveways are large and there is plenty of room to maneuver. It is well lighted and secure. It is a first class facility!

The Alarm system is the biggest problem. Seems like nobody knows to put in their password before trying to open their unit. Every time I was ever there, I was blasted by the loud alarms multiple times due to other people. Also there only being one elevator for 2 stories of units is very inconvenient.

Our only issue with the storage facility was that the 2nd floor (the floor that my unit is on) has no power. The elevator also stopped working in the beginning/middle of unloading the uhaul. We had to carry everything up stairs. Apart from that my experience was great and Caleb M. (the uhaul storage facility associate I worked with), was very friendly and helpful with everything.

Reached out to customer service twice. Was supposed to get a call from Greg. Never got a call back from Greg regarding the issue of being put into the wrong storage unit. Kim called to ask me to move into the correct one and advised I would have help from the staff. No one was able to help. The alarms went off. I was assured that my payment will be taking out on July 7th due to the inconvenience. They ended up charging me a late fee with no calls or paperwork to my apartment. They went directly to the co applicant on the storage unit. Two weeks with no follow up from Greg. I am absolutely disappointed. With no follow up from management, I decided to cancel my unit at u-haul and move into a different site in town. I will not recommend this facility to anyone in town looking for storage.

I was actually sad when I no longer needed my space(s), that's how great the facility is! It's newer so it's clean, well lit, and well managed. There's even covered parking for when it's raining and you need to load/unload. I have nothing but positive things to say and I'm sure will use them again should I need additional storage in the future!

The online process is convenient, but clearly does not hand-off to in-person use easily or smoothly. Despite the promise on the website to go "straight to the unit" there are security access cards that must be used in a very specific order to avoid setting of facility-wide alarms or potentially locking the user out of the facility upon return visits.

Greg is amazing!!! His ability and willingness to go above and beyond for his customers was so refreshing! He was so kind to me and my mother and answered all the questions we and even ones that we didn't know to ask. This was my first time ever getting storage so I was a bit nerve wrecking but he made it fun and easy! I even had to call him hours after leaving and he was still kind and helpful!

I booked a 10x15 unit, on the 1st floor, months ago. I had a move in date of 5/8. When I got there, there was no 10x15 available on the 1st floor. I was told I could have a 5x5 and a 10x10 on the 1st floor. When I arrived with movers from out of state, 1 of the units had padlocks and the other was a 10x5, not a 10x10. Had to move to the 3rd floor. The elevator broke!!! It took a couple of hours to fix. Movers, nor I were too happy. Attendant couple not change my access card to the new unit. Went back yesterday and none of my info was in the system. Had to start all over again. What a fiasco, especially at a brand new, state of the art facility!!

It was an emotional day (divorce after 12 years and the marital home closes on the 28th on top of child custody battle and losing my job all within a month) and moving was already a headache and Aaron made me feel at ease for the first time that entire day. He was so helpful and patient and answered every question I could spit out. Don't lose Aaron, he saved my life that day. Only thing that sucked really is the pick up place didn't have the furniture dolly that the website said and when I did my storage unit online poor Aaron had to do it all over again

Don't say "what's up" when a customer comes to check in for a reservation. Show the customer where their vehicle is and explain the process of looking over the vehicle for issues and documenting these things on the mobile device (didn't know I was getting a text message until we already drove off). Don't give a customer a vehicle that has 45 miles worth of gas left in the tank. When a customer is nice enough to leave the tank on full, don't put it down as about 7/8 of a tank. Not pleased with my experience at all, don't plan to return to this location or recommend it to others. I put 110 miles as an estimate to prepay. We drove 47 miles, paid over $100 to fill the tank, and returned the truck 6 hours early. The credit is laughable. The mileage credit should be $74.97, we also returned with the gas gauge basically on full from the "1/4 tank (45 miles left to the tank)". A credit of about $105 is unacceptable. Guess you lost decent customers.

Staff was friendly and helpful and facility is top of the line. When I took my boat to the storage area, the fob did not work. Staff gave me a second one that worked only one time. Another customer let me in and out and the staff walked me back to the entry with my third fob to make sure it worked. The first space I was assigned (83) was not available because the trailer beside me was taking up its space and mine so that was another trip to the office to get a different space. The signature machine did not work at the first cash register so we had to use register at one and the signature machine at the next one. I encountered two other very disgruntled customers during my multiple trips to the office. The mechanic was having trouble installing something on a customer's vehicle and ran his battery down. He had been there over two hours when I arrived. The other customer had been given a different vehicle the day before, but refused the customer's request to change the paperwork. You have customer service and machinery (fob and signature) issues that management needs to address. The staff lady on duty that day handled it all very very well and should be given a bonus.

I was told to use the recommended chart to determine the amount of gas it would need to replenish the truck for the gas I used on my short trip. I did exactly that, and the gauge registered exactly the level indicated when I picked up the equipment. After returning the truck and services later settled, I received a statement that I had been charged for 4 gallons of fuel. Naturally, I contacted the store where I rented the truck and twice asked that the charge be removed for the very reason I stated above. Twice, they refused. I feel I am being taken advantage of and that this is a deceptive practice. I will be posting my experience on social media so that others are aware of this sort of practice taking place. Interesting, how renting the equipment entitled me to a months free rent on a storage unit, but I ha be to pay twice for the gas. Sorry, but no thank you.

The containers were supposed to be delivered to jacksonville. However, they were delivered to New Bern (an hour away). The process of talking to people on the phone to get them to Jacksonville was very frustrating. I was charged for U-Haul's mistake and had to call to get that refunded. The girl that delivered the containers was AWESOME. She was friendly and efficient. The pick up from our how was smooth and quick.

The truck I had reserved had a dead battery…I waited an additional hour while the truck was charged enough to actually start & then I was told to keep the truck running for 2 hours to fully charge the battery resulting in excess fuel costs to myself because of a dead battery…One thing I noticed was the 3 red lights across the top above the rear door would randomly come on and stay on for hours…no way yo turn off manually. I would recommend uhaul maintenance this truck to find the cause of this problem that may have a negative impact on all future customers who rent this vehicle.

storage for RV was told I would have 20 amp but didn't know it was minimum time time out when it came back it tripped breakers had to be reset every day when I was unable to do it I lost everything in the fridge was only using 3 amps mostly while power was on unstable and poor electric system I had to leave and find another place

We had an issue with the elevator. I tracked down the employees and they made some calls but acted completely unconcerned, if not irritated by our issue. The elevator got stuck on the first floor. After two hours of waiting and trying different things, my husband forced the door closed (no nothing was blocking it) and it started working again. He only had to force it a couple of inches. It looked closed before but obviously was not. The staff was unsympathetic. It did not help my opinion because I had called a week in advance to reserve a unit. When we got there, nothing had been reserved and I had to wait to do everything. No one told me I needed to go in to get the unit in advance. If I had known ahead of time, things (except for the elevator) would have gone much more smoothly. If I had the manpower and the money, we would find a different storage facility. As it is, I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

I'm happy I was finally contacted. Building & units all fairly new. I got a storage unit on the first floor which is nice & it's near the entrance which is nice too. Very secure access & exit with the use of an access card. Very lit so can see to unlock lock, etc. Very reasonable in price. Very satisfied. Thanks U-Haul, MLK Blvd in New Bern, NC!

Greg was very helpful and worked with me moving in reserving a storage unit, getting that set up once I arrived. Best part of the move, for sure! The store is clean and the staff friendly!

The new facility in New Bern is state of the art. The service at check in was second to none. Happy to see this new facility in New Bern. The Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I appreciate them!!!
