Jordan SMy experience with the Niagara Falls- Industrial St location was always excellent. I found the staff to be both knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. The storage facility was always spotless, a job very well done by Lena who clearly takes pride in her work. Anytime I had to deal with the office staff it was most pleasant (and I was often addressed by my first name) with all my questions or concerns answered with the utmost professionalism but with a good sense of humor as well. I rented at this location for over a year, rented trucks for my move and even had a hitch installed on my car. No matter how busy the office was I never got a "stressed out" or rushed feeling from the staff or manager. Every experience a good one. I would say that the overall feel of this location felt like family, I actually experienced some sadness as I cleaned out my unit to take to my new location as I felt like I was leaving "friends" behind. I think that manager Nicole deserves kudo's for the great inviting environment she has created within her staff at this location...most welcoming!! Thank you to all!!

Roy FIt took about 40 minutes to go in and get the rental set up and then when I went to get the trailer it had rocks still in it and a missing chain on the gate so that all had to be cleaned and replaced before I could leave. I was on a timeline so I wanted to just rent it and go. This should have been looked after before we got there as we had called an hour ahead to say what we were coming for and when.

In both situations, they were very simple questions, they always seemed disgruntled and dismissive, as if I was wasting their time. When I was done, not once did staff wish me good day and thank me for using uHaul's services, they just looked beyond me to the next person in creating them with a "ya" or "what's up?"; bery unprofessional. -the cost of a 5X5 has become very high, so much so, it became financial better for me to just purchase another storage locker in my condo building.

James TWhen we returned the car dolly to this location, we were told by the booking location to get a refund. ( only wanted it for 1 day, and was charged 2 days) This location said they were very sorry, but cannot change what the booking/pickup location had done. We don't blame the drop off location, we blame the pick up location for lying to us.
Ben HI rented a truck from Niagara. I was having a difficult time with the app so I called that location directly. The woman was super friendly, professional, charming as well as really good at her job. When I was there to pick up the truck I had the same customer service rep. She is seamless. She helped me, assisted a new employee and greeted incoming customers ALL while being very present with me. She and other awesome staff members are the reason people return to U-Haul. Moving is stressful and your staff make a difficult transition easy peasy. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Bradley N | Expérience généraleYour storage fees are highway robbery for the sizes that are offered I was told everything would fit in 1-2 units from my truck rental and I needed 3, PLUS a big unit from another company because I wasn't going to get ripped off a 4th time . The units are very very small , the doors for accessing the front are horribly inconvenient, I was told on the phone when I placed my reservation my 1 unit would be free , the desk made me pay for the full amount , only when I disputed it they listened to the tapes and found I wasn't lying and offered the one unit free they wouldn't refund me for the one and I could place my items in a more cheaper bigger facility I only needed it for 2 weeks , and I had to pay for the e full month - unlike other facilities, and you estimated my km /miles to be way less and I ended having to pay an outrageous amount plus put gas to even use the truck upon departure, all in all I paid wayyy too much money in that horrible stressful move and I will never rent storage or trucks from this company again based off my experience I've used uhaul trucks for lives many times and never experienced this kind of sneaky amounts paying a deposit and then you taking it afterwards and charging more for mile use it's insane ! Also the hours for office are terrible and storage access hours are not 24 hours so when we moved and loaded had to hurry up because only had till 10?!? Crazy ! Storage should be 24/7 especially if so locked up and secure like you do , which I will give you credit for .

I am consistently being charged 'EXTRA' fees which are deemed insurance/late fees, yet when I ask to pay a past due, I am told I CANNOT PAY A PARTIAL PAYMENT AND ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE IN FULL, SINCE I AM UNABLE TO DISH OUT THE $600 AT ONCE, (THIS AMOUNT INCREMENTING BECAUSE THE UHAUL WON'T LET ME PAY PARTIAL PAYMENTS BRINGING MY ACCOUNT UP TO DATE SLOWLY AND MAKING IT EVEN) THEN I AM BEING TOLD THAT THE ACCOUNT IS INCURRING FEELS PLUS LIEN FEES. SO WHEN MY ACCOUNT was at zero, I was told because I had TWO STORAGE SPACES, even though I told the individual my husband opened the ONE IN HIS NAME, I was told they were the same account and TOLD because the other one had a balance on it, they were charging me two x the late fees, even though one was at zero. WHEN I ASKED THE MANAGER TO MAKE AN EXCEPTION SO I COULD PAY $300 NOW AND $300 AT THE END OF THE MONTH. HE SAID NO! HE SAID THAT WAS NOT AN OPTION AND THAT HE HAS BEEN TELLING ME FOR MONTHS THAT I COULD NOT MAKE PARTIAL PAYMENTS. HE IS DISAGREEABLE, UNWILLING TO MAKE COMPROMISES TO PLEASE THE CLIENT, OR MEET THE CLIENTS ECONOMIC NEEDS HALF WAY. I WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN AND THEY COULD ACTUALLY AUCTION OFF MY DECEASED MOTHERS STUFF NOW. I DO'NT CARE. I HAVE TRIED OVER TIME TO CATCH UP ASKING TO MAKE PARTIAL PAYMENTS TO CATCH UP SLOWLY TO MEET MY ECONOMIC SITUATION AND HE REFUSES SO THE ONE TIME FOR PAYING MY UHAUL STORAGE, I HAD TO GO TO A FOOD BANK FOR FOOD BECAUSE IT LEFT ME AT ZERO MONEY IN MY ACCOUNT. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER USE UHAUL TRUCKS, SERVICES OR STORAGES AGAIN. NOR WILL I REFER THEM. HE WILL NOT EVEN WAVER ON SOME OF THE FEES AND HE IS THE MANAGER.

The crime rate around the area is low and the building is not really seen from the general public,but has easy road access. Staff was knowable and helpful. But not to nosy.. great experience

I am a loyal customer of uhaul and I was keeping my unit for that month so instead of the 117 I was charged 299 and I had my stuff out this month 2 days before my due date and Matthew Tubman is trying to charge me fees. I was not leaving my storage unlocked with my lock when theirs people who are living out of their storage unit on the same hall as I was in when I was cleaning mine out. Last month Matthew had an additional lock on my unit by the morning of the 31st and pay is the 29th and I was threatened my stuff would be going for auction so they have the option of removing the lock themselves this man just wants to charge me more and more money

The storage units are clean and accessible very easily. They provide carts for you to use to wheel you stuff in and out of storage and also provide bathroom for you to use and maps on the wall in several areas of the indoor storage building to be able to find your way around. I have had an over all awesome experience with the whole thing. Me and my husband would definitely recommend them for all your needs for storage, for moving, etc.... I don't think it's right that you don't prorate days for ppl in situations that you try and charge them a whole extra month. It's a scam. I wasn't happy about it and definitely wouldn't use uhaul storage again or suggest it to someone else. Kent location use to be great. All the woman are great there but the manager is awful.

False/misleading advertising. - Was told much later that stacking above the prohibited line is actually allowed (then why have the line in the first place..) but was never informed upon rental and had to rent a second unit elsewhere to accommodate my possessions - Manager is unhelpful, arrogant and lies

Upon receiving a letter at my house weeks later I was told I was being charged a non-payment fee. I explained that this was unacceptable as I have not been notified via mail, email or telephone that there was an issue with payment. I checked my credit card history and an attempt was never even made. I didn't had to argue to have them removed delete payment fee. Which they eventually did. 3) for whatever reason it was impossible for them to correspond with me via email. I was then told that it must be my email address that was the problem. This is not a problem I use this for personal and business email every single day and I've never had an issue outside of the issue with U-Haul. 4) It wasn't until the final two months that I used the unit did I receive any sort of email or paper invoice from uhaul. Two invoice forms. 5) while helping a friend move some items into a different storage unit at the same U-Haul facility, I checked on my unit. I found that some of my furniture was wet and also stained with water damage. I spoke to the front desk and also to the manager of the store. He told me there was nothing that could be done as he didn't have any notice of a leak in that area. I explained that this was his notice that he must have a leak somewhere in that area as my items which were moved in in November somehow got wet and mouldy between then and April. I was told that because I did not buy insurance I was out of luck. This is completely unacceptable I should not have to buy insurance to protect my goods from a facility that is supposed to me be maintained. As far as I'm concerned this is a stain on the U-Haul name. It seems that U-Haul sells itself on its customer service, quality of facility and ease of use. My experience does not reflect that. I am now out $400 of which the furniture cost, the $40 in dump loads because I had to throw it all out, and the close to $100 a month and I paid between December and June. I arrived May 4 to discover the space contains a low hanging sprinkler pipe and warning tape on all three walls prohibiting users from filling it above the marker line.. . which is located just 56" inches from the floor. Effectively, there is just 4'8" of usable space, NOT six feet as advertised. This represents a loss of 41,5 square feet of storage. As a result I was unable to fit all my possessions in this clearly much smaller space and had to find an alternative storage solution for the remaining items. To represent this locker as a 5' x 5' x 6' storage given the interior stacking limitations is completely misleading. One might say it could be considered false advertising. I did not have this problem at the Milton UHaul facility and am now in a position where I have to keep two separate rental spaces in different locations at more cost until this problem is resolved.

First, he talked very condescending, this was my first time in the facility and when I asked him where to go, his comment was, ''obviously, its this way down the hall.''. Who talks to customers like that? The word obviously should not be in someone's vocabulary who is in customer service. And then I wanted to add my spouse to the storage and he gave me a hard time about doing that, because my spouse was in another country. Once my spouse called on the phone and requested a manager, then all of a sudden, it wasn't a problem. I'm not going to rent here long term because I refuse to pay and give a business money who have employees with that kind of attitude.

From what I understand this happens fairly often because of long delays in processing payment information since head office is in another country (USA). That was very disappointing. There were no lockers that large so I rented the largest locker that location had. It wasn't large enough do I had to rent a second locker at full price. I think a discount should have applied as I did not get a 10 x 10 locker that was not available as per the first month free deal. In addition I I possibly could gave gif all my things into a 10 x 10 locker and not needed a second locker, that I will be paying for 2 lockers per month until I am able to bring my positions out storage
