I would definitely not say the 26 ft truck rides like a comfortable van! The suspension is so stiff our heads would be jarred with any road blemish or minor pot holes. Larger holes were painful.My neck ached after the first hour and we had 9 more to go.

You had a customer that wanted the equipment, and sent me a text asking to return the equipment early. I returned the truck a day early with less miles than you calculated but did not get any discount. Your people were good to work with but your policy's will lead me not to rent from you again.

Nat and Alex at the Helena location were super friendly and helpful. They were very professional. There was at least three calls coming in and two other customers they were helping in and out of the office. It was a great experience because of these two men.

Using the UHaul app I kept getting stuck in a loop and couldn't extend our reservation. Website told us that someone else needed our trailer and we couldn't extend, although I could reserve the same trailer 15 minutes after it was due to be turned in. Calling the loction phone number also got us stuck in a loop when trying to extend a reservation. We ended up driving back to the location where we were able to extend.

This facility is well run and Gab was so polite, I can't say that for the Marshal guy at the Lyndale location who I rented a truck from and asked about units. He needs an attitude adjustment and it wasn't a one time thing as I had 2 interactions w him w a week in-between. He's unhappy and pushes away the customer!

When I searched the Uhaul website this store wasn't included in the available stores. It was a recommendation by another shop that got me there. Otherwise I would have driven over an hour just to pick up the trailer at another shop. This is unacceptable.

The Helena location is fine. The service was great. UHaul is an awful company for making me drive 3+ hours round trip to get a trailer that I reserved for Great Falls. UHaul's business practices are deceptive. Suck it, UHaul.

My last two weeks there the garage area was filthy! Black ash/charcoal stuff was everywhere, someone contact lenses, nails and screws and metal hardware all over the floor, it was just a mess. I was there at 7 a.m. and the first one there, so this had been left from the day before and the following day the mess was less but still there. The hall was pretty clean. The lighting is a bit freaky when you are alone in the back side hall. It flips off and you have to go out and move about to get the lights back on. Access is a definite issue for me, I was there at 6 a.m. and the garage did not open until someone was in the office at 7 a.m which made things harder. The sliding door appeared stuck open for three days. When I rented, I was told I could access anytime and instead I found out I could only access when the office was opened. However * see below*. Sunday I had to wait until the office opened to even get in my unit. I was there at 6 a.m. and then at 7 a.m. and still no access I came back at 9 and could finally get in. Using the garage is dicey. It is lick of the draw. I pulled up and some camping/moving van, which the next day I saw parked in the parking lot, sat in the garage for 4 and 1/2 hours or better. I got there at 1 it was there and came back at 5 and it was still there. Both garages had the same vehicles in them and the next morning that ash/charcoal stuff was everywhere. I will say prior to this one experience it was usually clean. My biggest issue was the rent increase and not able to access unit. * Seeing the sliding door wide open for three days was not the most comforting. It explains the access issue, if that is the case well done uhaul. Yes, inconvenient but shows they care and are aware there was a door issue and that they have an eye on people's property entrusted to them in the units. The staff is great. The check out guy was amazing. Very personable and eager to help. Clay waited on me several times and was awesome. The young gal when I first got the unit not so great. I saw the mouse bait box so I asked is there a mice infestation. The unit I had in Idaho while I was in college; had a mice infestation and I swore never again, so after seeing that box - I am going to ask and she got huffy and said "well this is montana". A simple no its a precaution would have been enough, did not need or appreciate the snark. Overall I think it is a great place to have a unit, it is a bit pricey, which is why I left, that and access. I needed to upgrade and the price I was paying for a 5x7, when I went somewhere else that I could access unit 6 a.m. - 10 p.m. and it is indoor climate controlled. Went into a 5x10 that is cheaper than the Uhaul 5x7. Suggestions I could give is add more garages on the end by the post office. That back hall is a ways away and it is creepy back there. Change access to the swipe card to get to use garage, instead of access garage and then swipe card, it would allow for access beyond the office hours.

Everything was good except when picking up the trailer the lights on it did not work and I could not pick up when planned. Had to return the next day which delayed our trip. U Haul installed the hitch. As it turned out there was a bad fuse and they replaced it and we were on our way. Other than this small mishap and the delay, renting from UHaul was a good experience. I will rent again from UHaul if necessary.

The payment system at checkout was very troublesome, needing to re-enter my full information 4 times because the rental system wouldn't process my card. But, the rental assistant was kind and professional the entire time, while I was more frustrated. At check-in, I was greeted warmly and treated very well. I feel like the level of professional service here is to notch. I would rent here and recommend this location without hesitation, again.

We used our free 30 day storage unit that came with our one-way truck rental in Sept 2022 a whole year later (it was good for 2yrs) as a place to set items that are challenging to pack for transport in the moving truck. For 3 weeks leading up to our actual local move, we put things like artwork, lamps, faux flower arrangements, taxidermy, etc into it. A few days after our actual move day with our UHaul truck, we carefully moved those delicate items out of our storage unit and closed the "rental". Folks there were extremely helpful. We would recommend these nice indoor climate controlled storage units to anyone needing a clean, secure place to store their belongings.

The manager (Clay) at the Cedar Street location that I used was extremely kind to me and helped my family and I out at a time where we really needed it. I worked with Clay initially to secure a self-storage unit. I then worked with Lexi in securing a unit upon my arrival to Montana. They are both very professional. My overall experience was positive. I wasn't able to get into my unit after I was told I could and that I would be able to get in until 10 pm did not happen I ended up sleeping in my car because no one would help me and the gm refused to answer the phone at 8pm to help us in the unit after I was lied to then also never got call or text foe help and I called customer service 800 number and she tried calling the gm he didn't answer for her either why do you have a manager who isn't managing YOUR STORE PROPERLY????? I DEMAND THIS RO BE FIXED SO TELL ME HOW YOUR COMPANY CAN MAKE UP FOR ME HAVING TO SLEEP IN MY CAR????

My only complaint is that rent for units is not prorated. I paid for a full month, but I only used about a week of that time. I didn't realize this when we signed up for the unit and so it was a bit of a shock when I anticipated getting a couple hundred dollars back only to learn I wouldn't get any refund.

Great staff and a great place to keep your things safe, clean, and secure. I really appreciated the ability to back my 26' truck inside to unload and load my belongings. Both times it was raining and I didn't have to worry about things getting wet. They also have plenty of carts to help you move move your things. The staff went above and beyond to help me when I needed it. Highly recommend this facility to store your things in an inside controlled environment.

We recently moved back to Helena MT from out of state. The transition was seamless from checking in our U~Haul Moving Truck to establishing a storage space for some of our belongings. Best storage facility in Helena MT! The staff were always friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The facility is well taken care of & sparkling clean! Website is a bit tough navigating. Site did not tell me my storage unit was inside and I would have to cart my stuff to the unit. Not convenient for me. Had to cancel and use a different company. If the site had told me that it would be an inside unit and I would have to use a cart through a maze for storage. I would have never booked it online. Visiting with live people is always best.

Clay and all the people on his staff were always courteous and helpful. During the ten months that we rented multiple units at the facility, even small issues (which rarely occurred) were remedied immediately. If we ever have need for climate-controlled storage in the future we would be very happy to use the facility again.
