The app was really slow to self check out and check in. The return space for trucks was full and it was tough to get the truck into the parking lot to return at 7pm.
James SchmaltzIt took almost an hour for the desk to help me when the U-Haul app did not work despite having completed the steps for skip the line rental. The store manager did not car that it took an hour and said even though my 2 hour rental slot was starting late I would get no time extension . I would have to pay if late. Luckily I didn't need the time but I will avoid U-Haul sand stick with Home Depot next time. The employee who tried to help but he couldn't let ride his managers decision. Multiple people in line and very inefficient. Not the U-Haul of the past.

Cecelia cabelloWhen I returned the truck the employee was inside long enough that my 15 minute grace period passed and I was charged a late fee. They also said I did not return a furniture dolly I rented which is an outright lie. I will drive past this location to go to other U-Haul stores in the future, very unimpressed with the service and hassle dealing with neglectful staff.
Jonathan MickelsonI booked the truck online for pickup and drop off in St. Johns. I got a call from uhaul apologizing that the truck was not available in St. Johns, but they could offer me to pick up in Lansing and return in St. Johns. When asked the total estimated cost, I was told $70 because it would be treated as same location since that is what I had booked. In Lansing they told me that wasn't possible and I was charged $111. There was nothing I could do at that point because my helpers were all waiting to move furniture. I plan on posting public reviews regarding this bait and switch tactic if not rectified.
Mark HorakThe battery apparently had a connection that was so worn it wasn't charging, so we ended up with a dead battery, stuck in Cleveland. Also, the storage part of the truck leaked water as it rained and many of my boxes ended up wet and soaked through. Also, the truck steering wheel shook violently at speeds of about 45 to 60 mph which was a bit unsettling. It didn't seem like the truck had been maintained. The service reps at the location were very helpful, friendly, and professional, but the truck itself didn't feel very safe.

Carol KeelerOnly one staff member was present to check people in and out. I sat in an empty storefront for about 7 mins and would have waited longer had my wife not managed to find him in the yard. Overall he was nice and helpful and got me on my way quickly, but management should ensure there is more than one staff member present. Vehicle also smelled like smoke.
Dustin KamermanEnsure the rear door, cables, and latch mechanism is properly working. It was very difficult to raise the door. Better maintenance is needed on vehicles.
Ed HeitzmanShorten the check out process! I received a phone call the day prior and was not told half of the stuff that would be required when I got to the location to pick up the truck. Had I been, I would have been more prepared. Moving is stressful enough and the process when I got there didn't do anything but add to it.
Charles DunnThe men at the desk were great, but I'd opted for a mobile check in online to speed up my process and it never gave me the option to actually do a mobile check in, which was frustrating. I also wasn't too please with the truck only having a quarter tank of gas? They asked how many miles I was going and, knowing I was traveling quite a bit, (going to kentwood and then returning to lansing), it was frustrating to have to stop for gas before I even reached my first stop.
Gabrielle LeeHad a problem with checkout. Was told after I dropped off the trailer that I was all set, no need to go inside to checkout, he would run the number and take care of it. Hours later got a message asking when I was going to drop the trailer off. Tried calling several times but call was directed to the national assistance office. They sent a message to the drop off location to have them contact me. They never did. The next morning someone finally answered the phone at the location and the situation was quickly resolved. Lesson learned, next time I'll go inside and make sure I'm checked out correctly.
Lonnie McGlothenCody, the Manager, works well with customers. He is professional, and offers options and solutions that most do not. The facility is clean, well maintained with moving supplies, and trucks are clean.

Scott HudsonThis location was just fine. Uhaul double booked themselves though and couldn't get me the original pick up location that they accepted a week in advance. It was a pain because I had to drive out of the way on a one way move which meant not being able to pick my car up on the way through like I had planned.
Mark UgoTruck needed an oil change. Side view mirror assembly is attached with packing tape and flops around. This is a safety item and truck should not be rented. Truck front end vibrates when driving 60 mph or above

At some point I'm going to need something from inside my unit and I'm gonna have to have them drill out the lock turning a 5 min stop into an unexpected half hour or more

tom adamsThe car dolly I rented was covered in dry crusty mud and the ratchets to tighten down and secure the car didn't hardly work, one side didn't at all leaving me only able to secure one wheel. Had I not been on a time crunch I would have not accepted it that dirty. I had no idea the ratchet was broken until I had traveled to my destination and already had the car loaded. I had to call someone to come help secure the car for transport.

LINDA JANE ROURKE | Expérience généraleI've been in a long time U-Haul buyer I am using renting trucks from you guys I drove a truck from Florida and piggyback from Tampa to Clearwater Michigan had a little difficulty what's the tires it was a brand new truck they took me from Tampa to Georgia two days cause the tires One tire had a bad bleed and your balance is off balance .I call made A guy come out and change it he said your front end is off alignment I it from Middle of Georgia to Clearwater Michigan and one day and I had to go to Dewitt Michigan because your U-Haul place was on 27th in Lansing. You guys said you were going to reimburse me when I did that and August but I never got reimbursed for the trouble on sorrow but Use U-Haul.I asked the store person if I could deliver trucks to state to state she told me to go to grand Rapids I would love to do that I love driving my number is 239-293-5870
DUANE GEORGE LINTNER | Expérience généraleI tented a storage unit and truck bcuz I had 24 hours to get my belongings from my current residence. I paid for the storage specifically ask the gentleman before I left if the storage would be unlocked before I got back because U-Haul lock was on it and he said yes he would take care of that. This was 2 hours before they close I come back with a whole entire load out of my house and the lock was still on it oh, they were already closed oh, so I couldn't drop my belongings off to go back and get the rest of my things. The next morning I waited over 3 hours just to find out that this door is rented was already rented and it took me another two hours to find a new storage. Why I got a new storage I do not know because I lost all my belongings because I didn't get them out of my current residence in enough time. So out of my entire house all I got was the things from the shed. And I also only got a refund for the storage unit. Considering I had to pay for the moving truck but yet didn't get to use it because I had nowhere to put my things. He don't have to worry about that now cuz they're all gone, thanks again U-Haul

I tried branch employees....national call center...and going through your Facebook page....I get no solutions just empty promises and ME having to constantly call cause no one apparently is interested in service.

We paid for 24 hour access, never did we pay late and the general manager would put the extra lock on our unit so we couldn't get into when we wanted. We would ask the young man that was working and he had no idea why the extra lock. Also when we took our storage elsewhere there was mold all over all my stuff and the floor was wet. Destroyed alot of my antique furniture Destroyed. I will never recommend this place for storage units.
