This was my best renting experience ever. I booked the appointment with one employee. Picked up the rental from another employee and dropped it off with a third employee. They were all very polite and professional. This is the location I will be going to for now on.

I was told there was over 1/4 tank of gas. When getting in there was in fact less than 1/8 of a tank with the low fuel light on with 34 miles to empty displayed. It is my opinion that ALL trucks should be fully fueled at pick up. I was meeting a moving crew and I was late because I HAD to get gas first. This was a huge inconvenience. The manager there is GREAT! I love the location.

You should have access to a manager when certain situations happen so we don't have to wait til the next day to speak to a manager because the employee doesn't know what to do, that will gladly help or train them how to handle situations. My experience was awful the employee couldn't help solve the situation.

The staff is friendly BUT very confused on most questions. I performed a self drop off and at the end of my drop off procedure I had a refund coming back to me, my TWO options were cash or a check mailed to me, since im moving i selected cash.it then instructed me to return to the counter for my cash refund, when i told the female employee what I was doing there she continued to tell me they dont give cash back. And i continued to tell her thats what my uhaul app told me to do. She looked for any info in their system saying I was getting a refund and could not find it. I said will it just go back on my card and she oh yaa your right. But why didnt she know the answer to that? I have been to this store multiple times in the last few months since i am selling my home and everytime I go, it is a mission to check out easily. In my opinion all of the staff needs to be trained better and trained about U boxes, they lack information customers need to know. I did not know I ONLY pay the day I am moving stuff into it, I thought once i paid no matter if i put atuff in it that day or next week it was mine but I found out the hard way. When i called to ask them to have it accessible for me on the next day, they said i did nit have one rented when i clearly rented one earlier in the month but didnt know i had to fill it that day. Also only one employee told me about buying/using a circular lock because people come and clip any other type of lock and steal your stuff, which blew my mind. Not sure if this happens at all uhaul locations or just the north smithfield location.

Pick location was changed. I was promised a discount on mileage. But when I went to pick up my truck I was told that was not something you company provides.

When I picked up the truck it smelt profusely of marijauna. When I shared this with the GM he was not concerned but offered to get me a truck from another location. Due to timing I was not able to wait for another truck. The smell was so strong I was sick. I had to drive this truck with windows down the entire time using it. It was 40 degrees. When I returned the GM did NOTHING to show remorse for the situation. Horrible customer service and if this is how the GM handles things I will never use Uhaul again!

I just changed the credit card I use to auto pay. I have rented a space for ? 2 years. It was the best place I could have come! The space is clean well lit safe!!!!! The staff is more than accommodating. Helpful polite friendly. I am more than happy here!!!

We had so many furniture pads, way more than needed which did take up some space in the uboxes. I guess you wanted to make sure we had enough! Other than that the pickup and delivery went very well. Great job!

Took over 45 minutes to rent the tailor with only one customer ahead of me making a reservation. The rv I was given was decently clean, And had new tires. But shortly into our two hour drive I realized the car seemed to be working harder than usual and my mileage was horrible. After a quick look around. I could also hear the trailer grinding. I have two thoughts, one is wheel bearing. And two would be shot pads. Either repair should have been cough while replacing all four tires. I'm not happy and this equipment should not be rented again until fixed.

I have to go there three times, but like I say three times the charm. I didn't have the right information I didn't have money on my card I only had cash I had it all messed up. But yes I do appreciate what you did for us the woman lost her daughter and we helped her out and that was the most important thing put a smile on not really a smile but we helped her out. Truck needs brakes, wipers and the doors both have a 1/2 inch gap at the top. Manager is rude and slow and I had to wait at the desk because he was working on his jeep in the shop.

I have been a uhaul customer for years. You raised the rent on my storage room multiple times and I had to find a different place to store it. Rented a truck for 19,95 and that fiasco ended up costing me 107.32. What happend to a 19,95 rental for a few hours with a refunded deposit?? Completely outrageous.

I'm reading this location poor because they delivered my UB actually a day ahead as I requested which was wonderful everyone I spoke with was wonderful but when I went to unload my UB there was a bolt it had been bolted shut, and being a recent widow I had no way of opening it I could not undo it. It was way too strong for me. I put in two calls to the driver right away, and he never responded, fortunately I got someone to take the bolt out for me and I was able to unload the UB box so I write this location poor

I had a very positive experience with U-haul. The staff from the representatives I spoke with in the phone to the people who delivered & picked up my box were so friendly. I received updates when the box was being delivered, every time the box moved from state to state & when it was going to be delivered to the final destination. Any questions I had were answered quickly. I had 1 problem and it was handled & fixed. Someone was at my house with in an hour. I would highly recommend using U-haul.

Prior to renting from Marlborough location I stopped by here to inquire about storage and rental. Unfortunately I didn't get a name of the employee but he was rude and dismissive. I ultimately found storage solutions elsewhere and choice to rent from Marlborough which I'm glad I did as Miss Toni was awesome.

super job all the way around. only suggestion: billing could be prorated for last month, at it was a hustle to get boxes delivered and unpacked in time to avoid a whole month's storage bill. If we could have been billed for only the few days we needed , it would have made for less stress.

The overall experience was good. I have two storage units and I've recently rented a truck as well. I often go in for supplies as well. The manager working the counter ALWAYS seems like he's having a bad day. He does NOT smile. He is very curt and He also seems bothered by questions and requests. It seems as though he hates his job. Otherwise I'd highly recommend the location. The manager? Not so much.

The ONLY issue I had was the following: Uhaul indicated the milage was 9811, which was correct and the gas gauge indicated it was full. I only drove the vehicle 12 miles TOTAL. I re-filled on the way to the Uhaul location - after only total 8 miles, the other 4 miles was from Gas station to Uhaul. It took 4 Gallons of gas. The vehicle was only used for those few miles because I had to change plans - you can see I rented another van for this weekend. I am sorry there is NO way that van gets 2 miles to the gallon. The only thing I can think of it that the needle on the gauge is inaccurate. Of note: I stopped at a full service only gas station and I have the receipt. My question is, how is that possible?

Set the tire pressure to proper specs. Getting the truck home 1 tire went totally flat the 3rd party uhaul mait team changed the tire and said all the tires were low below 30 psi. Mobil maintenance guys seller job truck drove perfect after them.

The storage room I had was a room inside the giant warehouse type building, which is definitely a plus because you were totally out of the elements while accessing the storage unit. The building is not heated but it never got too low or too high a temperature which was also a plus. The manager of this facility was also vey friendly and helpful when needed. The only negative was that I am tall, 6'2" and I could not stand totally upright within the unit and I actually hit my head on the sprinkler head, located on the ceiling while I was there once. So, if you are tall, be very careful that you don't hit your head. There are also convenient parking areas that are at different heights to the loading doc, based on the vehicle you are driving. We used carts (like at Home Depot) to transfer our things.

The young man, Henry M, that assisted me was professional, friendly and informative. He showed me where my unit was. Where equipment like carts were kept; and how all cards and keys were used. Went over rules, hours, etc. And said he would be happy to help if things changed. The unit was very clean, exactly as described online. I reserved the unit online and my reservation was waiting when I arrived on the date picked for move in. Would recommend U-Haul for anyone looking for storage. Prices very reasonable compared to other storage companies. Would highly recommend.

I am being charged an extra month. I went and cleaned out my unit and went to the office to close out my account days before my next payment. I was told I was all set. Then a day after I am normal charged I was hit with the payment automatic drawn out of my debit account, putting me in a negative draw. Now I am waiting for the payment to finalize so I can dispute it with my bank.

The only thing I would recommend is please tell anyone asking about the size of unit a 5x10 definitely will not fit a while / half apartment as I put my couch and small entertainment center with boxes and a rug and it is a tight tight fit

The only snag encountered was not because of anything employees did. The building was repurposed from another business, and in my unit some nails from where the old business had a wall still had their heads sticking up in the floor, making it a little difficult to slide some items into my space. This could easily have been resolved at the time the building was repurposed using an angle grinder. To reiterate, the above is not something the employees had any control over. The place is always very clean. There's a man named Howard Hewitt who works there who helped me while I was with my two children and he helped me with the trolley to my car and I didn't even ask him. Things like that make a difference, especially to an overwhelmed mom with two small children! Every time I've seen him he is working hard and cleaning everything. One of the kindest humans I've ever met.

When making the reservation I was not told they do not let you put it on a charge card. Showed up to pick up and pay was told debit or cash. Went home to get the cash then was told I needed a military ID or passport to leave with them until we returned the truck. Then had to have my son show up with a debit card. After emptying my storage at uhaul which I only had for 6 days out of the month was told they don't Reimburse for unused days. Well ain't that some double dipping. RENTER BEWARE. Find a local non commercial company to do business with that take time to explain everything at one time. Will never do this again. U store it that leave a Box trailer at your house then transports it when your ready. NEVER AGAIN U HAUL. TRY TO RESOLVE. HAHA ANOTHER JOKE ON ME

Took over and hour to rent a unit and then was told because I had cash that it's be too difficult to make change. Took three people to figure the process out and when I still wanted to rent a truck they made it seem impossible so I didn't.

I had nothing but trouble because I paid weekly for my storage area. I kept getting letters every day saying i was behind in my payments. I am out of there and the last letter I got from the office said you owe me $10,1 and I would like my money. My bank sent the checks every Friday for my payment and for three or four month I was told my checks were not received when they were. So I am glad to be out of there.

The team was fantastic from the word go. 5 staff and the Manager were awesome, with support and guidance. The only negative feedback was one of the bathrooms at the storage entrance had overflowing bins and bathroom was dirty in the morning. When I went back at the end of the day the state of the bathroom did not change. Also, the one way 20 feet truck needs work on the transmission. It never changes appropriately.

Get better customer service. Had a unit with you guys for close to 6 yrs maybe more. Went with the place across the street when your customer service went down the drain. You should really reconsider your late policy and the exemptions for long term customers. I will never even use uhaul to move again. That experience was a disaster also bc of unwarranted and unknown fees and rules. Get it together uhaul.

My overall experience of this facility was excellent. My only complaint is I had my unit emptied on the evening of the 6th and contacted them on the 7th that I was moved out and I am charged a full month's rent for being over by one day.

I would choose this storage facility again having had a very different experience at another facility. I wish I'd gone here in the first place for my storage and equipment rental needs. Staff were courteous and helpful and facility was clean and well lit.

Had trouble finding the unit at first; was expecting more space based on the pictures and description online, but somehow the movers made it work! Was told a lock would be in the unit, but there wasn't.. went to the office and they gave me a free lock without any issues. Overall, smooth move-in experience.

After two years of continued patronage and receiving yet another letter stating my rent would be increased by $10 yet again I had to make the decision to close the account. This rate increase would have put the SMALLEST unit at 85 dollars before taxes. My personal opinion is that you will continue to loose customers if you continue to raise rental rates for existing clients. If anything you should be lowering the rates of clients that are loyal.

I had an emergency move, called in the AM to reserve both a truck and a unit. Both we were to go when I got there. In and out in about 10 min, friendly and informative employees. Highly recommend this location!

The Unit I rented via online move-in had apparently already been rented to someone else, and a computer error allowed me to book it. There were no comparable units available so I took a smaller one. While disappointing, the staff were very friendly and as helpful as possible. The facility is highly secure and well maintained. Still glad to store my things there.

This U-Haul location is the best U-Haul location in my opinion, and I have been a customer of U-Haul periodically since the 1980's! Of course, there is always room for improvement, but I believe those areas are in the national services like the long wait times when calling the national number (but when you get a human rep, they overall do a great job!).

After some confusion, the N. Smithfield agent pivoted quickly and made the situation better than expected. I had called earlier in the week and was told the unit was on the ground floor. I asked the person to verify three times because I was told prior it was on the second floor and only a 5x10 unit was available on the first floor. Upon arrival, we were correctly informed the unit was on the mezzanine up 10 steps. No good, especially considering we were storing an upright piano (500 lbs.) Next issue: I had ordered the 5x8 trailer from the N Smithfield location for expediency purposes, then it got unilaterally changed to Cumberland. This added an extra 90 minutes to/fro twice of waste. As you probably know, wasting time on a moving day is not a good thing. Thankfully the person at Cumberland and N. Smithfield were very kind, polite and professional. If they had been disasters, the rating would have been POOR mainly due to the jerking around of reservations and conveyance of inaccurate information leading to undue stress. However, the EXCELLENT onsite agents saved the rating and greatly reduced the stressful situation. U-Haul REALLY needs to get the people with COMMON SENSE and CUSTOMER ORIENTATION on the phone and within reservations. Eventually more and more customers will realize there are other options with equivalent or less induced stress. This type of silliness undermines the U-Haul trade mark. Ultimately the behavior will lead to a Hertz-like business collapse. The customer interface must be crisp on all fronts to be long term successful. Best regards.

During the shipping process, the lock on my Ubox was damaged and made the box impossible to open. An employee drove to my home to break it open immediately after I called. Excellent customer service.
