There were warning stickers on the wheel wells in the back of the van that said any damage would be charged to the customer on both wheel wells were damaged. If customers are being charged, why wasn't this fixed so I would not take the blame?

I appreciate the care for my stuff, but, had the truck been inspected prior to me picking it up, this would've been avoided. I had to make an additional unwanted trip. The manager was helpful and gave me a discount on the mileage. Thanks for the service

Moreover, the storage unit I had reserved was unavailable, and the truck I rented exhibited faulty headlights, with even the high beams failing to function effectively.

Nathan BI rated average only because the unit I was assigned to had no lock. I was told it would be on the door. The office closes at 7p and I got there about 6:45p. I was assured the lock wouldn't be an issue. I had to leave my belongings because we unloaded and I wasn't going to load the truck again and go home with everything. I only had help for yesterday, it wasn't possible for me to go back the next day.

Alexandria GI rent from UHaul very often and I go to the same location is Oak Lawn, IL. The ENTIRE staff is very professional and always very polite. They always go above and beyond to make sure the trailers I rent are always up to great standards. I'm very pleased to be able to count on uhaul for my moving needs and I never worry about the condition of the equipment cause I know it's been well maintained.

JEROME MIt would be nice if it was mentioned at pickup that it needed to be gassed back to level of the tank when I picked it up. When I picked up the truck, it was only 3/4 full. Most rental cars have it filled then ask you to fill it up before bringing it back. Since it wasn't full, AND I was being charged by the mile, I was not aware it needed to be partially refilled before returning. Plus, it is hard to get it to the level it was when you picked it up as you have to keep stopping and checking the gauge as you fill. Just my $0.02.

As previously mentioned, I have used U-Haul in the past and I have called on their service to date, because the experience is excellent. I appreciate that their storage units are inside the buildings as opposed to some other storage facilities, thereby eliminating being in weather elements (rain/sub-zero temps/blizzard/blazing heat) when accessing items. I will definitely recommend U-Haul to those seeking storage and/or rental of trucks and vans for their moving needs!

The uhaul on 1300 Wilson Ave, National City, CA 91950 was EXTREMELY HELPFUL with installation of my hitch & renting a trailer. When I made to Chicagoland area, the U-Haul staff at 8900 S Cicero Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453 were EXTREMELY HELPFUL and went over and beyond by staying a little later to get my storage and trailer drop off established! The corporate phone operators were EXTREMELY HELPFUL as well!! They went over and beyond to get me connected to other U-Hauls for my trailer drop off & storage setup. If it wasn't for U-Haul my move/road-trip back to Chicago might have not been possible.
Derek R | Premières impressionsI was having issues with my card to make payments I tried for weeks to get in touch with the office with no luck I wanted to make my payment over the phone not only that but they reached out to me like once regarding my unit I wasn't able to reach the office until the day my unit went up for auction and was told I had to wait and see if it wasn't auctioned off at the end of the day which again I was unable to reach the office every time I reached the call center I was told notes would be put in for a return call from the office and they never returned my call I will not be recommending this location to anyone as far as storage goes. I lost literally everything I owned in that unit and am now starting from literally nothing rebuilding my entire life it's beyond frustrating and disappointing. During business hours customers should be able to get directly through to the office not routed to a call center and constantly be told you will receive a call back that never happens

And that I should enter the code when I'm leaving as well!! Does the code time out? Otherwise, staff was helpful and patient. I really like the way the storage unit is setup-easy access and the code!

My last visit was not recorded neither was I informed of auction even after i specifically asked nor did i realize an old phone number was listed because the guy at the desk did not say anyone was trying to reach me. However my items were sold and none of the information the lady provided to me as of recent was given to me on my last visit beginning of May when i added an authorized user stating my return with payment. I am very disappointed to have lost my life beings after trying my best to communicate through this difficult time by phone and in person.

Every time after that though they did not contact me until it was 14 days past due, locking me out of my unit, and I would have to call for someone to unlock it. Last month, despite knowing this is an ongoing problem, they threatened to put a lien on my unit. After paying and again having the late fee waved I decided this would be my last month bc it's not worth the stress.

I went inside the office and the guy who works there was polite and very helpful. He gave me a map of the building and explained how to disarm the unit with my access code and where to pull my car up. I guess I would just say when you do an online reservation, the process of where to find your building and how to disarm your room should be provided via text before you get there to make things a little more clear.

tim k | Premières impressionsStaff was unacceptably helpful with the fact that I was assured my reservation for a storage unit was taken care of and it was not I was basically told what do you expect me to do by a u haul staff member very bad customer service I went over all of this on the phone before arriving at the storage unit just to arrive and be told there is no reservation for me there and after all of that I received a storage unit that I was told by u haul would be big enough to site a 2 bedroom apartment in which it was not and by the time I figured that out it was too late and the facility was closed so due to that fact I was unable to store all of my furniture in the space u haul has been very unorganized with my whole reservation for storage I would like some kind of credit toward my storage unit and towards all of the extra gas that was out in the truck that I didn’t need to put I’d appreciate a prompt response in this matter and expect u haul to rectify this situation for me...

The only open locker was on the first floor and not the ground floor which was what I had registered for. When I got there it was too late and we were too tired but had no choice but to move it up a flight of stairs. I wish that it hadn't been changed but the employee td us they were building a new facility and I could request to move to that location when it was completed. If when I am ready to move it will be coming back to my house. I just wish that Uhaul had stayed with that ground floor instead of the 1st floor. Like I said a ramp or an electronic lift or elevator would have made my rate an excellent.

I'm not the tallest at 6ft but I've had moving support that could not move around without the danger of bunping their heads on the sprinkler. Lifting heavy furniture is also difficult if you have to bend over while doing it.
