When we came to pick up the rental, we made a mistake (im sure not the 1st or the last to do it) and entered the side driveway. my husband had our kids in the car, he was waiting for me and tryin to to move the car however we acknowledge that we were on the wrong side. One of the workers, a Female with Dark hair in a pink shirt that day yelled at my husband that he couldn't park there and used some profanity that my children heard because a pod or cube was being unloaded. He tried to move but was basically blocked in by said employee for a lil bit which made things harder. Now I fully understand that she was very busy and i apologized for the mix up. He is a veteran with PTSD and he was helping me move my mother from a Memory Care unit due to neglect so it was a very emotional time. (things she couldnt and wouldnt have known). My only feedback is that the side driveway should be gated to keep us making the mistake out, but also as a reminder to the employee that day that Kindness costs nothing, i will add she was pleasant went the van was returned that day.

The customer service was impeccable they went over and beyond, by climbing the highest mountain in a dangerous cave and Forge, a truck made out of material that is strong enough to do the job and made it affordable. Thanks again guys.

The truck i rent leaked water inside when it rained. Seems like they don't inspect their trucks very well. My mattress got wet in 1 corner but not soaked. Thank god.

Instead of telling me the problem was with my vehicle, try another trailer that might work with the newer sensitive technology of my vehicle. I had to go to the dealership and have my truck tested o ly to find out it wad fine while the problem lied in the original trailer i was given when I went back a different trailer was hooked up to my truck and all the lights worked fine. A little more help from the staff on the lot would have prevented this delay.

I first walkded in and tall kid with blond hair helped me I asked for a 1 way van he told me they didnt have any and the manager backed that up said it was best if i had made an appt they told me I needed a credit card so I went home I got 1 and another young kid helped me and proceeds to tell me we have plenty of 1 ways let me help you. Super helpful cant say enough. I felt like the others just didnt want to do a 1 way like there was nothiing in it for them. The kid that helped me out not sure of his name but he was from northern california.

The service was spectacular, I was happy they were still open even though their facility had flooded due to the storms we've been having. My only complaint is that the AC and defroster did not work in the 10ft U-Haul so I had to drive with the windows down in the rain. It was dangerous and not ideal.

The communication between uhaul and I was not very thorough. The paper i was given presented different information than the text messages i received from uhaul. also i was not informed i would receive text messages. There was missing equipment when i was set up as well, the tow dolly was also in a different location when i went to pick up.

1. late being notified that the Car Carrier I thought was confirmed, was in fact NOT available unless I drove 30 miles to pick it up. Only option given to me was to use a Car Dolly. 2. Designated Drop Off location turned out to be useless, when I arrived to return the truck and dolly in Ridgefield Wa. Was a "storage only" location. 3. the feature on the truck for "engine breaking" was FABULOUS!!!!!!! I ended up in both driving rain and blowing snow over up & down mountain passes in southern Oregon amid heavy semi-truck traffic. Allowed a very stable, controlled, drive.

Definitely. Some training for the people who work here advise my fiancé at the risk of him. And my children's lives to put my car in neutral, which is a forward real drive. You should never do that. Because the car will roll forward. Everybody needs training there, including the GM who has no sympathy whatsoever and the Vice President was supposed to call me back 2 weeks ago I am still waiting for that return call his vacation was more important than my children's lives. I suggest you find any other company for your towing needs.Considering nobody there is trained fully

This UHaul location has an amazing staff. A gentleman named Tighe gave me the rest of night and day if needed for uhaul cargo van. He called to tell me no worries or rush to bring truck back by 3:30 pm. The GM of this store is a kind amazing woman as well always goes above and beyond her job for all customers. I will never go anywhere else than UHaul for moving. Thank you guys.

Manager Alicia is absolutely the rudest customer service personnel I have ever had to deal with. Right from the moment I first called and was abruptly placed on hold without even being asked why I was calling. I called another time to inquire about changing my reservation. I could hear her yelling out from the background, "Don't do it" "I will make sure he gets charged" in what sounded to be a threatening manner. I had planned to rent a car dolly after my trailer rental, but I've decided to never, ever use this location again. Hopefully I will never have to use u haul services again because this encounter with manager has left a bad taste in my mouth. Further more she should definitely consider employment in some other field that doesn't involve customer care.

It was heavily crowded and no one seemed to know where they were going so I would not say it was inviting I guess it was clean I only saw the outside. Helpful?? No we had to guess where to go even though there were Uhaul employees standing around... I had to ask and then the guy said oh yeah we check it out here first. So no I would not recommend that location.

I was personally dreading renting from U-Haul due to prior experiences at a different location. However, this location has completely changed my perspective. The associates were kind, helpful, knowledgeable, accommodating, and efficient. I would rent from here again and again, and will be a return customer should I need these services in the future.

We had a great move in experience. When we went to move out the easy sliding door would not open- we had then to transfer all of our Storage items from one floor to the next floor in order to get out of the building with our items. This was very disappointing. No one was around to assist.

I reserved a truck and auto trailer 2 weeks prior. On the night before the reservation I was notified that no auto trailer was available anywhere in San Diego, Orange or Riverside County. When I picked up the truck there were 3-4 auto trailers on the lot. This was very, very misleading to take a reservation and then cancel the day before when Uhaul indeed had multiple auto trailers available. Not the fault of the Oceanside staff, they were very nice, this is a Uhaul corporate policy that is obviously intended to bait and switch customers into making a reservation for a truck and auto-trailer and then not telling them they won't be making an auto-trailer available until it is too late to for the customer to line up another vendor. It's not like there actually were no auto-trailers available, just that you wouldn't allow me to rent one. Uhaul should not accept reservations if they don't intend to have the equipment available with 90 %+ confidence.

The new streamlined system using e-mail and text messages is very good. However, I got a text asking me to confirm the license number of the trailer I was using, but could not respond because I was driving. Later, when I could respond, the link had expired. Keep the links active longer.

I was surprised that I got charged an extra $20 because I turned the trailer in "after hours." Well, I rented the trailer at 8:30am on a Saturday and wanted to turn it in before getting charged for an extra day. However, the location didn't open until 9:00am Sunday. The daily rate is $18.95, so I paid more than an extra day,'s worth without getting an extra day of usage. No one mention an after hours turn in charge. To the contrary, they talk about how you can turn in equipment 24 hours a day.

The actual requested trailer was not available. This seems to be an issue with Uhaul in general. The staff offered a substitute with a same pricing, and it worked out. In some cases, this may not have worked out.

2/9/24, First truck yesterday had the right front headlight out, 2 blocks away and had to bring it back and they have me a second GMC Box Trk. The second GMC Box truck, the check engine light was on when I got 2 block's away, and I brought it back, they put a test reader on and it cleared the code. The next morning the engine lite was on again when I was 30 miles away and I kept driving because I was already loaded. The second GMC thr locking latch was very hard to get closed and locked after I was already loaded at night in the dark. Your Workers were very nice and helpful, however I lost about an hour and had to pay my employees the one hour each delay waiting for the truck I rented from UHAUL.

The girl who was at the front desk on 1/30/24 (I think she was the manager)was so helpful. I reserved the wrong truck and she had one coming in so reserved it and called when it was back in their yard. I feel she went above and beyond! Also the gentleman that checked me in when the truck arrived was very kind and patient.

I didn't like the units. Having to haul my stuff up the ladder added a lot of work and made me not want to go there. I didn't feel totally safe there, either. There were always a lot of homeless people going in and out. The staff was great. They were very helpful to me when I arrived.

My full month payment was taken for 7days of usage into my billing cycle, with no prorated refund or and solution. In fact, I was denied by the staff when inquiring about it. Seems such a large company would have better business practices.

They were nice enough, but said some awful opinionated stuff about some of the homeless people that lived in the area. The rates were also expensive compared to other storage facilities I've looked into and is part of the reason I'm no longer storing my things here

I had a problem with getting in and out after hours for some odd reason I cleaned up the restroom when I first got there I have barely been here for not even 2 weeks and they're giving me a hassle it seems like they just having a bad day but it's okay maybe we need to work on our customer service remember the customers always right and they should always they're not helping hand no matter what that's my opinion but we need to work on our social skills anyways have a good day exploding heart to the world

The unit was good. The stairs used to access 2nd level units are too long to steer around the corners, you have to drag them around the corners. Also, the 2nd level units had chicken wire as a ceiling which was weird to me. I feel like if someone wanted to, they could've fished things out of my unit undetected if they were motivated to do it. When initially purchasing the unit, I was told I couldn't pre-pay for the 6-ish months that I planned to rent for but upon downloading the U-Haul app it became apparent that I could prepay for the upcoming months.

Great location, well maintained facility, friendly and professional customer service. Loved everything about my experience except for the price. Yall are the best. I would loose my debit card and forget to update the auto pay and this facility would always give me reminders and normally not charge late fees. I actually forgot to pay for a few months because I was out at sea and they let me pay when I got back. Great customer service and just an over all great experience at oceanside uhaul. I would recomend 10 out of 10.

The worker Robert needs to be fired. I was given a storage by another worker, which all went smoothly, then I asked to pay the following month as well, and was paying cash. When the worker helping contacted Robert, he came into the store, and showed his true colours. He made me very uncomfortable, and angry! He needs to be fired!!

The manager and employee at this location on the day of my check out were busy with calls and people in front of them and they handled the pressure with ease . They probably did the work of 5 people . Coming from the Hospitality industry they were on point . It was the evening shift the day of my checkout and it was a latina woman and a male manager . The people employees made the difference . This location will be highly recommended because of them .

A uhaul rep per phone said I wasn't to be charged extra. Upon drop off I was met by GM whom immediately was stand offish & brash & per a phone call charged me $154 saying I dropped off incorrectly.

If you change the location of the truck.. YOU SHOULD CALL. There were no pads and no Dolly'S, even though I ordered them!! And the truck was far from a comfort ride.

Customer service via UHAUL -800-go-uhaul was absolutely atrocious. No one at uhaul takes responsibility of the 'u-box' segment. Many lost hours on the phone. Oceanside store was very helpful.
