JOHN BARTONWell, the young man that served us named Sebastian was the most inept uninformed on train person that we could have come across in any professional setting! What would have taken with a professionally trained employee to cuss over an hour he did not know the program he was working with. He was making a statements and then denied it and overall he did not know much about the program he was working. I would entirely try to avoid ever stepping in that office.!

Jaider OsornoMy truck was not ready when I arrived. I elected for the "truck share 24/7" option which said I could pick up the truck one hour early. I arrived twenty minutes early and when I went to complete the online pick up it said "equipment unavailable. Contact customer service." When I called customer service they offered a different pickup location or $50 credit. I elected for the $50 credit. When I checked out at the counter, the person said they don't do credits. As I was driving down the road, the "low tire pressure" light came on. At this point, I'm curious to see if another rental company can do better.

Joseph HowellI returned my rental before end time and filled up $10 worth of gas at Cumberland gas. I only drove 35 miles during my rental. When I returned my rental I did not see the option to complete the return through app, so I dropped off the key and went home. Once I got home, and opened the uhaul app, and noticed I now had a return rental option. I called customer service to let them know I already returned the truck and filled the gas. In the morning I saw a charge show up on my card for 3 gallons of gas from uhaul. So you're telling me, it costs $14 from uhaul to fill 3 gallons, and the $10 worth of gas I added to drive only 33 miles!?!?! This is not the first time I rented from uhaul from this location, but this is the first time my experience has been shady. I will be keeping a better eye on this location on my future rentals.

Jim FernandesWe had an ice storm the night before. I got there at 8AM. Yes, that is early but the ICE on the truck had to be a 16th thick. Took a half hour just to open the doors. I had my own ice spray and scapper. Worked at it for an hour before I could get on the road. As employees reported to work I asked if they had a " hot hose " to de ice the truck. They said no. Couldn't hook it up to a sink with hot water ? Soooo. A good amount of gas ( an hours worth ) was used just to defrost the truck. Not the worst experience but being the truck was not ROAD READY and I had to do all the defrosting myself with my own supplies, I think I am entitled to a discount anyway. Wouldn't you agree ? This is CT. You would think corporate would provide a "hot hose " or a " steam gennie " for these typical winter issues. I did all the labor and returned the truck as clean as I rev it. D.J. CHRISTOPHER OSMENTThe check-in process was great. The staff was friendly and it was easily to use the text link, reviews photos, and be on my way. I don't have many suggestions, other than I overfilled the gas tank by about 1/4 tank (avoiding the exorbitant gas charge). It would be nice to get a credit or money off of my total charge.
Rick BuckholzWe were thankful this location had a transport trailer last minute. The one we reserved and picked up from Bethel, CT was severely damaged. (Perhaps a bent or broken axel.It would not travel straight and vibrated.) They eventually assisted us in finding the trailer at the Orange location.
John HomrokYour truck was in miserable shape. The exhaust showed extreme carbon build up and the truck's performance was substantially risky. I was hoping it wouldn't break down on us as it seems the truck's transmission (or engine) might be faulty from its performance. I would recommend this location as it did have the 17' truck we needed and got the job done.
Francis CutroneI'm disabled and while waiting to sign in I couldn't stand too long. The young man who checked me in actually brought his chair around for me to sit in! The man who accepted truck upon returning even went inside to get receipt for me and bring to my car. GREAT PEOPLE!

It was already a horrible time having to store my stuff due to separation, but i booked the storage online for an inside unit, upon arrival I was informed that there were no units available. There were only outside units, my movers were there was was costing me $269 an hour so I had no choice as it was late already . The outside unit when we arrived up the hill was wet inside. I was so disappointed and sad I couldn't help but cry as it was already an emotional day. The worker was very nice and tried to accommodate me as much as he could but I will no longer use uhaul storage because apparently this is common practice for them in Orange.

A very helpful young man was coming out and I mentioned it to home and he went back in and found my card for me and also said he would let the manager know I was checking out. I had a vmail before I got home from the site letting me know they received my message! I also got a confirmation email the next day. Wonderful experience!!!

A good amount of our personal belongings ranging from furniture, home decor, clothes, footwear etc. were damaged due to what may have been a water leak of some sort due to lack of security of the storage unit. We had a very unpleasant time trying to figure out what had happened, figuring out how to report it, and having to move with soggy boxes and damaged goods into our new apartment. This was our first time utilizing a storage unit and I would not recommend this to anyone or do it again myself. One of my footwear had gotten so wet and damaged there was a ton of mold growing on it! A public health hazard and a mover's nightmare to have to deal with. I was smart enough to have paid for insurance, but with the lack of responsiveness from RepWest and their odd contracting language on what they cover and don't, I am left as a disappointed customer on all fronts. If UHaul won't provide safe, secure units that will protect customers' personal belongings, at least have a well-intentioned insurance available for customers to purchase.

The first day I went in to put my stuff in storage should've been when I canceled the reservation all together. I had reserved the biggest storage unit, put a down payment on it online & then they said they only had small ones left.. Then the guy BEHIND me went up to the counter asking for a large one and they miraculously had a large one available for him. So my husband had gotten into an argument with one of the staff members who had threatened him "he's not the one to play with".. The staff is rude, unprofessional, immature and definitely not customer friendly. Also, they are not accommodating at all. I got a letter to pay a certain amount by a certain date, when I went to go pay it, they told me I had to pay a completely different amount.. Of course MORE than I expected.. Specifically, $250 more than what I expected to have to pay. I talked to someone from customer service, they gave me different information than the employees that actually work IN the orange location.. and when I told the workers what customer service said and had wrote a note in my account as well, they wouldn't accommodate that. Seems like *most* of the employees there should be sitting behind a desk, not dealing with customers hands on because they're incapable of doing so politely and professionally. Definitely wouldn't recommend giving your money to this location, they don't value their word at all.

Often, I found myself in my storage room in the dark only with my cellphone light. That needs to change.

Luckily there was one unit available but had there not been this would have been extremely inconvenient. I was told reservations were not accepted here AFTER being cancelled on, but why then did they allow me to place a reservation? This is a terrible way to conduct business.

THEOPHILUS AMASSAH | Expérience généraleI was trying to move my things from the U-Haul in Connecticut to the U-Haul in North Carolina and I ended up needing one extra day to exit the U-Haul in Connecticut and they had no way to work with me on that I tried to get a prorated rate. they wanted the full month and nothing else when I asked if I could just get until 10pm on my last day to have things out they said no I would be locked out of the unit at 7 PM that was not the case when I moved in there. I was for sure loading things at 10 pm. I could not understand if I would've been late on my payment I would not be locked out, but because I was requesting an extra day that I was willing to pay for they could not work with me. Well I'm back in NC and decided not to use uhaul and will not use them again for trucks either.

Everyone else tried to tell me Uhaul probably wouldn't compensate me. But I carried faith with me. Uhaul is one company that still values customer service in a day where it is hard to find. It wasn't easy for me to lose my high school year book or my children's' sentimental belongings but I was respected and felt valued. Thank you again Fred and Uhaul for doing what's right! Godspeed

Alma Jones | Expérience généraleThe facility is spotless, the unit was spotless. I had to use the bathroom, very clean and well stocked. The directions to get in after-hours were not that clear, it took a few extra minutes for me to get into the building. But once inside, you could tell that this facility was well taken care of. The text I received when I booked the unit said there would be a lock waiting for me in the unit. There was no lock, luckily there was a Target nearby and I was able to purchase one. However, when I went to the office the next day to seek a refund for the lock, the person was unable to help me. She was very professional and took down my information. I was told to come back when a manager was available. The lock was less than $14. I would expect that employees can be empowered to make a $14 decision, especially since I had a receipt and the text stating a lock would be in the unit. I have not had a chance to go back to the office, so I am still out my money. I provided my cell number, no call back. That is why I am rating this just average. Frank Ficaro 203-556-4792

A safety concern is patrons did not wear masks in shared hallways. Need signage to remind customers to wear a mask. Overall I had a good experience.
