Got charged for gas when I already put it in, used less miles than I was charged for. Talked to worker before I left and stated where the gas level was, he took a photo and so did I. Returned at the same and was still charged. Will NEVER use again.
Ryan SThe roll up door on the back was padlocked when I arrived and picked up my keys via Mobile app so I went inside the location to get them to unlock it and make sure the appliance dolly I rented was inside of it. The man who helped me was rude and acted like I was bothering him by having to unlock the back of the truck. He rolled his eyes and sighed when he realized he would have to go outside. He then insisted on seeing my contract before "allowing" me to take the truck, he said. Obviously it was my truck since I had gotten the keys from the box which required a code to retrieve them. Once the roll-up door was unlocked and opened there was no appliance dolly inside so he had to go inside to get it. As he was heading back inside to get the dolly, I was talking to my boyfriend about how rude he was. The employee proceeded to turn around in the parking lot and start walking back toward me, interrupting our conversation and yelling at me at the top of his lungs from 30+ feet away. He told me to shut my mouth among other things while pointing his finger aggressively at me and my boyfriend. It took my boyfriend starting to walk towards him for him to stop yelling and go inside for my dolly. My boyfriend retrieved the dolly and told him that his behavior was completely unnecessary and unacceptable. He never apologized to him or me and turned around and walked to the back of the store. Worst experience I've ever had with Uhaul. I called customer service to complain. They assured me the general and district manager would be informed and would call me to speak to me about the matter. As of today I have not heard anything from either of them. That employee should not be working with the public. The truck was clean and well maintained. It drove wonderfully.

paul cDon't say to the customer- "you didn't fill the gas tank" rudely. A better approach would be hey, it's not exactly where it needs to be probably needs a gallon more, there is a gas station around the corner. I did fill it up prior to heading over but I didn't guesstimate the drive over.

David RCustomer service representatives on the phone were pleasant and helpful. In Person and Bangor they were downright rude. If not aggressive. My truck was changed multiple times even though I reserved it a very long time in advance and they tried to send me a different locations throughout the state of Maine. This was an extremely poor experience with U-Haul, and I will not use it again.
Alex LMaintain the equipment better by ensuring its clean and no smoking. The equipment was allowing rain water in both cabins, our stuffs were wet before arrival.

If there were other options in my area I would 100 % choose them so I didn't have to deal with U-haul blowing up my phone. Such a poor experience. Makes U-Haul look desperate and so unprofessional.

Christine CUnexpected fees made it go from $220 to $360 not happy about it at all and I'm rather pissed. Wouldn't have gone through this company. Do not recommend. Employees were very nice when picking up the uhaul that's about all the good news.

CRYSTAL RUnderstaffed! One person. Checking in equipment, answering phone, dealing with a walk in customer for a material purchases (packing supplies), renting me a trailer and hooking it up. Wow too much, way too much for one young man. He did well but come on at the end of the he's frustrated and I wasn't impressed. Yes I gave a good score. But understand that it was solely because of the man on duty, he did great.
sam tI was very happy with this U-Haul storage facility. I had been there multiple times during the day and at night. The place was always well lit, clean and secure. The employees, all of them, have been great! A very good place to store your stuff and not worry about it.

PHILIP WThe individual that checked me in is the most disrespectful and rude individual I have interacted with at U-Haul and I have dealt with some winners. The trailer right turn signal did not work due to a corroded wire at the plug.
LOGAN MI waited in the truck for a while as I noticed three employees standing outside smoking and looking around, even though there was a sign that said to wait for someone. Eventually, I decided to get out and approach the door. Fortunately, another employee came out to assist me. However, when I entered to get my receipt, I was surprised to see that one of the employees who was smoking earlier was behind the counter.

Carl WWell, overall my hitch did get installed today. But here's the long story. I called on the 8th to verify my appointment was made because I read reviews for this location having excuses as to why they can't get the work done when you arrive. I called and stated my concern and how the reviews made me nervous. The young man on the other end of the line was not reassuring, saying that it was a gamble and that the installation guy was talking about quitting daily.....not what you want to hear when you are already concerned with wasting your time on an hour long trip for nothing. I called back the day before installation and the young lady on the phone stated that I was still on the schedule for 9am December 15th (today) my wife and I decide to take two cars, I was initially going to wait for the car.....boy oh boy am I glad we did. Dropped the car off at 9am...called at noon, was told it would be just 45 more minutes, showed up at 1pm, (60 minutes later) and the car was done at 2pm. As stated I am glad the installation happened. But I'd of been very upset if I had gone with the original plan to sit and wait for the car. I said "yes I would recommend this location" but only if there was no other available option. Seems like this location is in need some good leadership.
Jacob AThe gentleman that checked me out when I picked up the vehicle, did not take time to clean the snow off the vehicle. It was parked in a snowbank. I was told that I would have to do that myself. When I I dropped it off. It took 45 minutes until anyone would check me out. The gentleman when I initially came, took the key the very helpful young lady that day tried to find him in the facility and couldn't so we could check out in person I had to wait, several hours to get my email check out The experience was so bad want to ask for my money back. What made it even worse was the pictures that were put for me to approve were not recent pictures of the vehicle. The vehicle was covered in snow I had to dispute every picture this didn't make me feel like the people running. The facility were honest in anyway. I think I deserve my money back. Thomas LCameron helped me in Bangor. I have never rented or driven a trailer or moving truck before. He was extremely knowledgeable, and went beyond what most employees would do to help me. He explained the pros and cons of each, based upon how much I was moving. It was nice to have a person who was competent and willing to explain without getting impatient. I greatly appreciated his help!

Well the 3rd seat is a jump seat and not very comfortable for the third guy after 12 hours in the truck. The truck was to short. Thought I checked the bottom length but somehow I missed that it was not 15' at the bottom. This kinds of misleading BS really should stop. The engine and transmission where strong, the only good thing about it. The windows were filthy inside and out, had to clean them myself, Wiper fluid was empty, made for a great time driving on salted wet roads. The heater / defrost fan did not work. Cost me an hour waiting for the sun to come up to defrost. The roller bearing on the door were falling out each time I raised and lowered the cargo door. As had been my experience with uhaul they run well but everything else is garbage. If I only needed seating for two people I would not have rented this truck. Will try avoiding uhual in the future. This truck should be pulled from service and fixed, cleaned, and topped off with fluids. It was unsafe to operate, mainly because the windows were dirty. No offer was made for my inconvenience which I thought was kind of crappy but I did not push the issue as I was happy just to move on and forgot those three days. Thanks to uhaul for being the mediocre, and usually the only option is moving for all Americans.

Miranda HI was called and told I didn't drop my trailer off three days after I had actually dropped it off. I have been a loyal customer and rent so many trailers I could have bought one but choose to rent! If I ever am called like that again I will be at the business in 10 minutes and in your face! Don't ever call me nastily again and leave messages like you did! Never had an issue until this time

Told her about the scratches on the outside of the truck a lot of them wasn't marked ( I took pictures of the Uhaul before we left at Millinocket and point out the scratches to the employee before I left so he also took pictures because he never looked at the outside of the truck when he checked it back in), and told her about the backup light forgot to tell her about the cup holder.

ROBERT Mupgrade your trucks. I have rented from Penske, and the truck provided had just 2000 miles on it and was much quieter and much smoother riding. While Penske has some issues of its own, their equipment is hands down better than u haul.

Aaron NIf you have the truck for 27hrs you should not be charged a 2day charge. I was charged the full 2 day charge. I picked the truck up at 345 on Friday and returned the truck at 655 on Saturday 5 minutes before closing and they charged for another full day.

But it was very cheaply made and stopped working so my iPhone died. I had to stop at Staples and buy a better adaptor!!! But the people at this UHAUL were exceptionally helpful and very kind.

The day I arrived at this location with a uhaul truck with my stuff, the guy knew Nothing about the one month free promo. He also didnt seem clear about my unit..where it was. Also when I first arrived No one in store area...took me awhile to hunt someone down that worked there. Also when I went back to get in my unit, and on move out day. Also another customer was in store before me looking for clerk to help them. Very frustrating to have to hunt some down. Again even tho the phone number seem to be for this location, impossible to get to speak to someone at that actual location. (Concerning) my one month free. Got it figured out eventually, just kind of a hassle.

On top of the attitude they charged me for the unit when I had reserved online and had a discount for a free month and was only supposed to pay 7,95 but got charged the full month fee. They told me they reversed it once they looked in their system and saw the reservation but now it has be withdrawn from my account not just on hold anymore. Would not ever deal with this place again.

JOHN E | Expérience généraleDrove 18 hours from North Carolina and got to the u-haul. The reservation with the customer service people on the phone apparently had been all sorts of messed up. The general manager over the other store across town as well as another gentleman both named Matthew were both very accommodating. They gave me another unit at the store down the road and hook me up on the price for the inconvenience. When I got there the one that they sent me to actually had a lock on it already but even the staff at the other location were amazing about jumping right on that and getting us into an open unit. Matthew at the desk was absolutely exceptional with communication and even apologize a few times like it was his own fault. I honestly wish I had employees like him. He thought with his heart and his mind and was definitely more customer-based than I've ever seen.

Due to this incredibly misleading system and the blatant lies in your confirmation email, I drove to with a U-Haul truckload of furniture to a storage unit that was not available. This put your wonderful customer service rep in a terrible position and ruined my day along with my opinion of your company. The customer service rep worked hard to find a solution for me. Your people deserve better. So do I.

Someone cut the catalytic converter off my passenger van. U-haul said they're not responsible because they don't rent parking spaces in their parking lot. If that is the case then why did U-haul rent me the spot and why did U-haul take money out of my account each month? My insurance is going up, I have to pay a $500 deductible and deal with the the garage and aggravation. It's not right nor fair. Joe Pike

I have a fatal disease called ALS and live in a house with a garage door opener to which I have a remote to and I also have 10 animals and Karen lied and said I was living there when I have a house and a garage remote and 10 animals. She even lied to the cops and lied that was attacking her and threatening her. What was I going to charge her with my walker. She wasted my time and gave me emotional distress and refused me a full refund and went too far. She will be hearing from my attorney and should be gravely ashamed of herself for the way she treated a dying person. Then to send me a letter in my email saying I hope u continue to use uhaul. What an insult. I've never had so much pain from a uhaul in my life and u have lost a continued customer since 2013. Will never use uhaul again.

When I first open my storage unit, I noticed she was giving me attitude and I couldn't figure out why but maybe she was having a bad day I don't know. The next time I came in to make a payment, she had attitude even worse and one statement she said that she wasn't going to lose her job over something she would do for me which was something simple like reducing the price payment or waiving the late fee. When I was walking away I had a bad day to begin with and her sarcasm words of "have a nice day" started to make my blood boil because nobody should be working customer service that has an attitude such as this. I've been doing customer service for over 20 years and I have never once matched a customers tone, and funny thing is I didn't even have a tone I was trying to explain to her about my hardship and she had no empathy for a customer who was clearly emotional and was hopeful that somebody would be willing to provide some sort of relief. That didn't happen! I in fact I walked out of there highly upset and wrote a very extended long email to corporate which nothing had happened as far as I know. Yesterday November 27 around 3 PM I arrive At the storage unit to clear out my belongings so I could close out my account and Simone was working along with I believe Sean and another nice young man, Simone contacted Karen and Karen told her to tell me that I would have to come in at six in the morning to speak with her. Little did she know that I had rented a pick up truck to remove all my storage belongings so I asked the moon for her email address. I emailed Karen and I will attach the email so you can see for yourself that I was not nasty in anyway. I waited 15 minutes did not hear back from the email so I called her and had her on speakerphone while inside the Uhaul shop and her employees could hear her but she didn't know as of yet. She had raised her voice and brought up the reason why she had a grudge towards me which was because I used to work at Dunkin' Donuts for her and unfortunately I had to leave the job without notice due to legal issues. Why would she take that personal? Good question. But as far as being a general manager I don't know if she's treated other customers this way but I wouldn't doubt it. I ended up speaking to Becky. Who was extremely helpful and let me pay five dollars to clear out my unit and sign a closing account paper. But caren Webb Should really think about what she is saying to customers and how she is saying it because and taking your personal issues to work, is not professional at all! By far one of the most worst General managers I've ever had to deal with because she took it personally. Not to mention I was under extreme stress already due to my current situation, I had to wait three hours and 40 minutes before I was finally able To clear out my storage unit. That's when Becky came in and told me I could do the five dollar good Samaritan contract sign off. So as far as her being your general manager, I think it might be a good time to start looking for a new one

Both gentleman, I use this word because that is exactly what they were. Kevin worked swiftly, and again thoroughly to help me with this sudden and emotional move. Kevin made sure I understand all that was invited, and kindly guided me to making choices that world ensure an easy move. When I encountered differently with the truck I received, Trevor quickly said "no problem" . Our move into the storage was also easy, and all the dollies were of great help.
