Check engine light 20 minutes into my 13 hour drive. Way to go uhaul. You really are not worth the money. Smelling fuel for 13 hours.. that's not safe. So if you service your trucks twice a year I feel like you're over charging for your trucks. Thanks for the worst truck you had.. I appreciate your willingness to screw people over
Michael FTruck check engine light came on right after I got on the highway. I was on a deadline so I didn't turn around. I figured a company would give me a good working vehicle if I was paying multiple hundreds of dollars. After 20 minutes driving I had to deal with the smell of gasoline for 12 hours.. I'm very sick today tired and have a head ache. I don't think I should have to pay for that POS of a truck.. I'm very unhappy!

I appreciated a cleaning staff member coming to see if I did the lock correct after the 2nd use of which I did. I am so very happy with making the choice to use UHaul as my storage place. Everything is so convenient for me using the drive in garage and the dolly. I am handicapped so it makes everything easy for me to use the accommodations when coming out by myself... the elevator is a Godsend!! Its so well lit, secure and clean. Thank You.

However, if there was no availability of one singular unit, it would have been a very difficult storage process. There was no mention of this situation prior to completing the online rental.

I literally lost everything we owned in a unit,everything..you should of asked monetary value of items being stored, at the gate there was 10k plus if items and irreplaceable items that has no cash value,up til day of auction my attorney not myself could get through,we were going through court with my landlord trying to get my vehicles that were to be salvaged to pay our unit,another fail. It was to be 478,02 I never said we wanted it for another month and that was tapped on for auction,I never received certified letter nor saw ad for public auctioning,per pa law of self storage whatever it sold over what we owed comes back to us. Do you know how disgusting it is to lose 46 yrs of life,your kids life,your partner and his children.. SMH,had we got extra time past auction date I wouldnt leave this review. We literally are homeless and now have nothing but each other..our dead parents and siblings and family heirloom was in there ..over 20k of things gone..and leave a review..a bathroom.set that was 5 grand things I inherited, important paperwork from.a funeral home I can't replace, irreplaceable photos,personal diaries gone..never again would i use self storage..for any reason..

John KThis is one of the nicest climate controlled storage facilities we have found. Our daughter is a local college student so we rent storage from end April to end of August each year. It's easier than taking everything home which is 3-4 hours away. While it is a month to month rental, we would love to see some type of college student special or bundle in the future for pricing.

Mary IThe staff was not helpful. We came in on Friday to pick up our items to move two kids to PENN AND PITT from NC and we left the key. The staff was not helpful they told us they could not help and the first thing I did was show them my original contract and my ID. They handed me a card to call a locksmith and pretty much said good luck . The person Bauchers card they gave me was out of town . We tried to open out self but could not so we had to leave before 10 and our entire plans changed . We could not go to Pittsburg where our hotel was booked and we could not get a room in State College as all the hotels were booked and my wife and I had to sleep in our vehicle . We came back on Saturday . Met the same 3 people tried to explain no one Was working a lady little chunky was playing on her phone and just diminished what I was telling her . I told them the power outlet was not working with the new tools we had just bought from Home Depot. No one went to check. The day before I told them in NC the uhaul will unlock the lock once you identify your self and pay the $25 fee. Luckily after they would not even show any help I was frustrated went back to my family at the unit and my daughter started to work it by then she drive in the lock still not out I started to drill in it and the same chunky lady came was very rude and said " Hey you follow me to the office and sign the paper and pay the fee what you are doing will not work " my wife and I were shocked as they said the day before there is no circumstances they unlock and they don't even keep unlocking equipment on site and they have to call outside locksmith for them selves and the level of rudeness she portrayed to me. I was so mad and disappointed, I change the bit and was able to open the lock Because I did not want to deal with them anymore . I also took all the extra stuff we were going to keep Year round back and clear the storage casing I don't want to deal with these people anymore .

I clicked on the printer friendly version to print the confirmation and the price estimate was $600. Double what the other page said. This was misleading and troublesome as I could not afford a $600 rental. I called the location and their manager Angel was very helpful and assured me the price would be in the $350 range. There must be some bug in the generation of the printer friendly version of the online confirmation. Thank you Angel for all your help!

Almost all of our furniture has been significantly damaged. In the end they left without finishing the job or telling us that we're leaving. Extremely disappointing!!!! Don't ever recommend them.

The cubic ft. of a 5x7x8 is supposed to be 280 cu. ft. but that measurement is to the outside edge of the door. Nobody can store anything to the outside edge of the door and still close the door.

The other issue I had was the last rental truck we used from this location. The tires were essentially bald and did not have great traction.

I made the reservation online, and could hardly believe that I could do that without having to pay a month's rent up front, Etc. We showed up at the facility, they had all of our information paperwork ready it took about 10 minutes to get everything squared away, find our locker, and be done with the whole deal. It was absolutely one of the easiest, smoothest, and most Pleasant transactions that we've had to deal with in a long time. These people were great!

DEBORAH S | Premières impressionsMy overall experience wasn't a grand one. I may use your trucks in the future but I'll never rent storage again. I had an issue with a mouse, at least one, getting into my unit. It must have eaten all of the mouse poison from every other unit in the building before entering mine, pooping green turds literally all over my stuff, and then dying on top of some things. Unfortunately I found it one day, still rotting and stinking, when I was in there taking some of my things out. I followed the smell in confusion and found the nasty surprise to my dismay. If poison is your idea of effective pest control in that kind of environment then I can't believe that it's very effective based on my experience. I could have done that myself and paid less rent if I wanted my things to be covered in poop, poison, and dead rodents. The rent was another issue I ran into. You charge a premium to use the facility. But you also raise the rates periodically seemingly at will and with no rhyme or reason. I had a 10x15 unit loaded to the top so every time you decide a monthly increase was in order I felt helpless. It's not like I can just easily get that amount of stuff out if I don't agree with the increase. Locking in a rate would be nice. I was also never told that having a first floor unit was costing me more for the convenience until I had already been paying rent for years and it came up in conversation with one of your clerks when I was looking to downsize my unit. That brings me to my final complaint. The staff was very hot an cold when dealing with them. Sometimes they were nice and polite. There were many other times though when I went into the office with a general question and I got defensive attitude as if I were there trying to pick a fight. One instance was when I inquired about one of my price increases. The staff just told me, "We don't control that here! It's cooperate!". I can understand a short and rude response like that if I were being confrontational however I'm a pretty laid back guy and couldn't understand where the attitude was coming from. Finally I will say though along with my mountain of complaints listed above that the facility itself was always clean, the access hours I had available to me were usually workable, I like being able to drive my car inside the facility to load/unload, and the area where you can donate your no longer needed but still nice stuff for someone else to take and use was nice.

It didn't fit and we ended up having to get a second unit. Because we were mislead we were suppose to get a package deal for two units. After we moved in the girl at the desk said she would call us the next day with the deal price after speaking with corporate. She never called us. We called corporate and waited on hold for an hour, finally spoke to someone and she said she would call us back with the package price. We never received a call in the three months we stored our stuff there and were charged full price for both units. Then we received an email that they were raising our rent on both units to $89,99 even though one was significantly smaller.
