Wasn’t happy that I was charged an additional cleaning fee. It was a a rainy day so the truck was slightly muddy but I didn’t leave anything. Not sure how I would clean that besides hosing it out or going to a detail place. Seemed over the top.

I’ve used uhaul many times in the past but have never experienced rude behavior like I had yesterday ( Sunday feb 16) at the 314 n 13th street location. Upon entering the store c gentleman sat at the desk without greeting me and as I walked up instead put on his sunglasses. He proceeded to text on his cell phone and waited for another woman named Shavena who identified herself as the assistant manager to come from the back. I mentioned to her that I had called the store earlier to confirm that I would be dropping the truck off back at their store the same place I had picked it up some four days earlier. She then tried to overcharge me contrary to the agreement I signed. When I explained to her that this was a mistake , She told me to call customer service which I did and they too confirmed that I was correct and should be charged the rate that was stated on my contract. The “manager” then tried arguing with the customer service rep to which I interjected that she is the one who said I should call customer service but now doesn’t want to abide by rate they confirmed. Long story short customer service suggested I go to another location as the manager wasn’t cooperative in the least. It is unbelievable that two people working with the public have zero interest in truly serving customers.

Very weird dialogue with the owner about my address. I was renting a vehicle for 3 hours to move some work furniture. The owner looked at my drivers license and ask if I was "moving to the address" on my license. I told her I was not moving. She insisted that I was moving. So I gave her the address of the furniture pick up. Only to later learn that she simply needed my current address. It was an uncomfortable verbal exchange (almost an argument) in front of one of my employees. UHaul needs more flexibility in the way they ask questions. Every customer has different needs. "Are you moving for home or work-- yourself or a friend/family member?" could be a good start or "are you changing your address"... something with more options... outside of that the experience was fine.

Employees had no idea what they were doing. They lowered my mileage allowed to an amount that wasn’t even enough to get from the pick-up location to the drop-off location, let alone got to my house and then to where I was moving furniture to. I only got enough mileage after I did a significant amount of complaining (and that mileage was barely enough). Also, I purchased materials and paid for them and selected to pick up at the location. The location was out when I arrived and said there wasn’t anything they could do. I NEEDED those materials and was counting on them. As a result, my brother drove 30 minutes out of his way to purchase them from a different location. This is all a shame because every single previous uhaul experience I have had was great. This one was simply embarrassing.

Clean facility with option to return vehicle after hours. Helpful and friendly but slightly slow-moving employees. Maybe not an area where I'd want to be walking alone at night (and location has no nearby transit or parking). Also, U-haul always nickel-and-dimes you more than, say, Enterprise.

Though the service we received from Zakiya was excellent, we were very disappointed with the service we received from U-Haul following our drop off. My boyfriend left his keys at the end and the uhaul rep who picked up his call (name unknown) refused to arrange or even attempt for him to get his keys back. The low level of effort was upsetting especially since the keys he’d left in the truck were his house keys and an important work security fob.

Counter people were rude. I stated I'd use 5 miles max, but they did the rental for 10 miles and assured me at check out they'd correct the miles to the actual miles on check in. I waited 20 minutes at check in, while the check in guy would not pass on the actual 3 miles use to the counter person to correct this. Again, they assured me they'd correct things and e-mail me a receipt. They did not correct this. Rentals here are normally easy. The staff that evening was rude.

Truck was ready but this location sold me a unit that was already sold & locked. Wasted my time and I had employees working, so I had them on the clock standing around. UHaul had a delivery come in that blocked the loading dock for paying customers like me so I was forced to move the 15' truck in a way I wasn't comfortable parking it. I was told that I wouldn't be charged but I still was charged $23.00 for the insurance. I'm the GM of a hotel, I would have NEVER charged a customer like this because of all the errors made. I will reconsider using this location in the future, especially when I need to clear out my storage unit.

The online pick up after closing time is horrible, I was denied the van I rented and flagged as a "possible fraud" simply because the person I put down in the form was not able to pick up the phone at the time she was called. I missed the deadline for moving because of that reason and had to pay an extra fee for staying another day at the apartment. It was an absolutely awful experience, please do something about it

I understand that Philly is a dangerous city in comparison to other locations but it would have been nice to get a heads up instructions via email to retrieve the keys. I had to wait out in the cold for more than an hour talking to a rep to find the keys. Even he was baffled. Ray who helped me provided awesome service btw

The drop off process via the app was arduous in the extreme. Multiple tls failures while transmitting the photos.

This location charged me erroneously for “damage” done to a door handle, and began ignoring me when asked to provide pictures of the before state of the vehicle. The “damage” in question is a small amount of white paint. In your own associates words, “let me pull the truck around - the garage is really tight.” A garage packed full of white vehicles. How wonderfully convenient. You have too many competitors to have such poor customer service.

I havent used uhaul in years. This location was pretty quick. I used the app but had problems checking in. The app kept timing out. Minimal wait inside. Vehicle I received was surprisingly up to date & even had a back up camera, which was a plus! My interaction with the young lady at the desk was very professional. The only recommendations I have are that the people who bring the vehicle to the front, interact with the customer. The manager was training an employee & neither acknowledged me or did a walk around with me. The instruction to the employee was to check my contract number against the vehicle number. I would have liked to have been asked if I had any questions. Turns out I ended up coming back when I thought there was a problem with the vehicle. The manager helped me quickly but it probably could have been avoided. Lastly the drop off was super quick. I handed in my keys & was asked if there were any issus the next renter needed to be concerned about. Again no walk around. Like I said it's been a while since I've rented with uhaul, so maybe policies have changed. I would definitely use the company & specifically this location again.

This was, by far, the worst experience I've had with someone in a "customer service" position, in a long, long time. Chaine Martinez had the audacity to lecture me on my attitude and tone of voice after I had been waiting for more than 75 minutes to get the truck. She said she tested it. She lied. The code that I was given was WRONG. I had to turn to Twitter to get help where a woman named Leah, took care of it. She got me the correct code and I was on my way. Chaine didn't listen to a word I said on top of basically saying there was nothing she could do. Meanwhile, I had an assistant sitting with my stuff on Rittenhouse Square for two hours. Another friend who was waiting for me, her cell phone died. It was a mess. But, Chaine wasn't close enough or even willing to help me. I was told I would receive a $50 credit. I don't find this acceptable. I want to speak to someone above her. I've deal with Raul before, but I want someone outside of the facility on N. 13th Street. She didn't stop to think for one second that this was a horrible situation for ME, the customer. I'm still furious. I use U-Haul 3-4 times a year. If I don't get complete satisfaction, I will be going to Budget, regardless of distance, and will be sharing this story with friends on social media. I'm normally not someone who gets this bent out of shape over poor customer service skills, but she was completely out of line.

Was told to park across the street and incurred a parking citation for using the only available lot for the vehicles. This is highly dishonest and unethical, especially since I followed all instructions and used the parking lot provided. Additionally, was on hold for 2 hours trying to contact customer service, where I was then told I’d have to bring this up to the Philadelphia parking authority. That isn’t my responsibility, and I shouldn’t be charged.

The print out you provide on the receipt for the fuel tank capacity is not the same as the actual gas meter in the cargo van. In the cargo van the gas meter is much smaller and I was responsible for returning 3/4 gas which was only one line from a full tank. I was overcharged for what I was required to replace for gas.
