Not with the site but with the service. It's absurd that if I'm adding someone as an alternate contact and that person has an issue with their account. We will only be notified at the last step of the pick up process. And they don't tell the reason why right there either. The person that is my alternate account should not disbar me from being able to rent vehicles. It's quite frankly a stupid rule, yes it's intellectually inadequate. This needs revising because it honestly makes no sense.

I came into the local uhaul to pick up the vehicle and was greeted as usual very kindly, to my dismay the counter person was trying to help a customer who wanted to take a vehicle but not give ID or corresponding phone number, all the customer wanted to do was yell and complain thinking this would get her a discount. It is a shame people have to act this way making the other customers uncomfortable. The two ladies at the counter handled them selves very professionally and should be Commended. Thank you Shawn W.

I was in this unit for over 5 years new manager came about a 1 1/2 ago she was rude and very mean I had to avoid saying anything to her I paid my bill on line and if I had to rent anything it was from a different location I didn't feel welcome at all and I was glad to leave I went to another place wear the staff was welcoming and helpful plus friendly U-Haul is a good business it was this location and that manager that made it bad she I don't recommend this location 75 central express way in Plano but I do love the other location thank you U-Haul for helping me for over 5 years as I look for a home and Kevin was great solving problems I had shout out to Brandy at the location on Alma in Plano she is a awesome manager very caring and willing to help …. Even give out hugs 珞

I rented a 20 foot truck for an event I had this weekend. I would have had to get the truck back right after a 10 pm event since the truck was being rented after me. Jordan reached out to the customer and they got a different size, so I was able to extend my rental for a day. That was a HUGE help and so appreciated. He went above and beyond. That is AMAZING customer service at a time when customer service is lacking. Merci.

The desk employees were very nice. The rental policies were very different than I am used to. Had issues renting the pickup truck or van because I was from out of state. I've rented many trucks throughout the country and never heard that before. They are a moving company that deals state to state. The employees said the owner had an issue . I found it weird.

I am writing this review to express my deep frustration and disappointment regarding an issue I encountered with my recent U-Haul rental experience. I had reserved a 15' truck along with an appliance dolly for a specific date and time to facilitate my move. However, upon arriving at the designated pick-up location on that day, I was disheartened to find that the appliance dolly was missing from the rental, and the rental location was closed without any assistance available. In response to this situation, I promptly contacted U-Haul customer care for guidance and support. I was advised to collect the appliance dolly from another nearest U-Haul location. Although this was an inconvenience, I understood the need to proceed with my move and followed the instructions given. Herein lies the core issue: when I returned the truck and appliance dolly to a single U-Haul store, as advised by your customer care representative, I subsequently received two separate receipts. One receipt was for the truck rental, and the other was for the appliance dolly. To my shock and dismay, the receipt for the appliance dolly charged me a substantial fee for "missing equipment." This development is not only unjust but also contradictory to the guidance provided by your representative. I was explicitly instructed to return both the truck and dolly to a single location, and I acted in full accordance with U-Haul's directions. This situation is nothing short of outrageous and has left me feeling deeply aggrieved. I rely on U-Haul's services for the efficiency and convenience they promise, but this experience has been anything but that.

The truck I rented smelled so bad of cigarettes when I picked it up and the tire pressure light was on. It gave me a little headache but the truck worked good. I checked the tires and they had adequate pressure. Jordon G. who helped me was fantastic! Thank you!!

Windshield was cracked. Truck had less than 1/8 tank of gas. Brake light and buzzer came on. And they botched the 24x7 pickup by placing the wrong keys in the lock box and insisting their policy is to physically see the drivers license before they'll hand over key. It took over 30 minutes of back and forth for what should have been 5-10 max…

I had a very stressful couple days looking at storage facilities with other companies that just didn't seem very professional or trustworthy. Then I decided to check UHaul's website and I found the 10 × 15 climate control at this facility and reserved it. Later that day I went to finalize the paperwork and that's when I met Lynn. She was so nice and helpful and she made sure that my rental details were updated properly on line. I left with such a good feeling about choosing this facility. I moved my items into the storeroom today and everything went so smoothly. Thank you so much Lynn for all your help!

While the overall experience at this UHaul facility was excellent, my experience prior to this facility was a disaster. I arrived at what I believed to be the storage facility at 412 N Central Expressway, Richardson, TX which is clearly referenced on my reservation. I was told this location is a drop off point and I should go to 13637 N Central Expy Dallas, TX. I arrive at the 13637 N Central Expy location. Miranda Kelso, the Center Storage Manager assigned me a storage unit that when I went to put my things in found to have a lock on it. Once I informed Miranda Kelso she offer me a 10' x 20' non climate controlled versus the 10' x 15' climate controlled unit I had rented. Miranda explained she had nothing else available and until she got the lock situation taken care of she could not give me the previously assigned storage unit. I called the UHaul 800 number to get help and they worked to find me storage at this Plano location.

I paid $270 per month for over 3 years which include insurance and my wood furniture was ruined due to the lack of climate control. The week I was moving out I check the thermostat several times and it was turned off the entire time. There was no climate control in my storage unit for over 3 years which is document with photos and video. I called manager several times and I never received a return call. The lack of accountability and respect for their customers speaks volumes.

The unit I rented had a broken rollup door. It was never fixed. I was promised several times that it would be fixed before my next visit. I had to prop it up with a long pole so they did not fall down and hit me in the head as it did several times and had to use a pole to push it from the insideto get it to go down all the way. I have never had these issues renting a unit. I moved out before my month ended. Would like a complete refund due to the huge inconveniences I experienced. Also they still have a key to my lock. I asked for it when I moved out and nobody could find it.

Moving put was a hassle. We had lost the key to one of the units and we were previously told the facility could cut the lock for $50. On moving day we were told they cant die to some policy which they didn't care to show us, we had to get a locksmith who was 45 minutes away and spent $80 plus an additional hour to the movers $76. Not nice. Also, we had a dinning table stored there but on moving out we didn't see it. No signs of break in or forced entry but mysterious a heavy durable office table disappeared.

My daughters drawings who passed away were ruined. Take note I was in a climate control unit that was full of MOLD. I have the pics. Bobbie the Manager was delightful when I was going to rent a unit. She never took my calls again. The only one that is kind there is the tall African America young man that work there and she does not treat him well. Bobbie was in the office and she could hear me speaking about my daughters art, but never came out to speak with me. She needs another job. Customer service was never taught to her.

I have been trying to find a storage unit for over a month. I needed to store furniture and household items for my 3 bedroom home. When I walked in I was greeted and treated extremely professional. Bobbi, one of the general managers, set me up. She explained my options and had me in a unit in no time. During the move-in, the other general manager, Scott was very accommodating. I was charged for extra day in error due to uhaul storage charging me fees when the first month was supposed to be free, it took them 2 hours to refund my money and this caused delays in getting funds to gas the truck and return it. I am very unhappy with the services.

Came in to sign the documents for the storage unit I had reserved. Unit WAS NOT AVAILABLE and paper work/contract couldn't be found. Ended up getting a unit on the second floor. Definitely not happy with the location and service received. Tried to contact them to see if the initial unit on the first floor had been located but no one answered the phone. This location is being run like a 3 ring CIRCUS with a CLOWN obviously in charge. I'm going to move in for a month or maybe 2 until I can find a better location and service.

I was lied to from the start and from 1 person / business owner to a management "team" that is uncalled for! Why lie about something as simple as accessible hours to get into a business suite I was going to use for my business. To be able to put a roof over my family/kids at night. I was ignored when I would text asking questions and never received a contract of any sort the whole time. Craziest thing a complete 180 in how it started. Sucks. Steven is one of the most outstanding Corp reps I have had the pleasure to do business with. I'm 73 yo and I'd rate him in the top 5 of my lifetime. I expect he will be a steady climber in the U-Haul ranks. This operation is impressive and I have other storage that I will be moving to this location now...but a light will go out when Steven eventually moves up the ladder.

IT WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE WE HAD IN YEARS!

I contacted Uhaul several times while driving from Nashville to Dallas with extreme wait times for each call. I was finally given a reservation at the location I requested for a drive up unit. Upon arrival the type of unit I requested was not honored by either manager Scott or Bobbi when I arrived at the Plano Allen location. I was instructed to call the Uhaul customer service line where I AGAIN waited in access of 20 minutes on hold. The customer service representative AGAIN booked a drive up unit first month free, added my credit card for automatic billing, said I was set to go. I returned to the counter where I was delayed once AGAIN when the manager couldn't initiate the contract that was started by customer service. After he (Scott) made several calls for help and almost TWO HOURS later he gave me a unit and asked me to return after my HIRED guys unloaded and he should have the help he requested to complete the contract. After unloading a full truck the contract still had not been done properly. I received a call the following day where I had to give all of my credit card information AGAIN to initiate the contract! How many people, calls and hours should it take to perform a service? I paid my guys for hours of waiting around and then paid to finally unload my truck! Time is money! To say I am beyond frustrated, tired and outdone would be an understatement! Very poor customer service and no desire was apparent to obtain customer satisfaction! Hopefully something positive will come from this rental experience moving forward.

There was a ton of misinformation... not everyone is on the same page, at this location. There were offers made that were incorrect and/or not verified. This led to us having to quickly move items... with only a few days notice. The storage unit that we were told was good through the end of March, because of our multiple vehicle rentals, ended up only being good until February 28th (which still wasn't the 30 days that we were told was the contract period). We called and were assured it was fixed and we'd receive a follow up call. It wasn't and we didn't. The next call was about a week later telling us that the rental period was up. Receipts weren't emailed and couldn't be printed. The manager was nice but that didn't fix any of the issues we had to try to figure out due to their mistakes. This unit was much smaller and almost three times the price of one we found at another location with a much smoother process/better communication/ extended hours. If you've got time and money to waste, this is your place. If not, be warned.

I am so sad to rate you so bad but I had my stuff in storage from 2012 till 2020.. 3 plus lay offs a hurricane surgery pandemic and more....after all those years and rate increases 135 to 185 and being told everything is ok no problems I let the insurance go.... only to find 3 bug rats dried up and ate everything from top of unit til floor and couch and chairs and books and pictures an plastic dolls chewed up..... after 10000 dollars this is what I get...... unbelievable........hope we don’t get sick from rat droppings Nice means nothing when what I paid for did not happen

Had several visits to this location over the course of a month or so and all my interaction with the various employees was exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them again. Excellent experience overall.

The door to my unit was broken. I couldn't open it myself because of it being broken. It slammed shut very hard while I was inside of it and almost hit me. The management never responded to my multiple calls and email. I asked the office almost daily when my door would be fixed for three weeks and it was never done.
