I scheduled my pick up for after hours at 9:00pm. Upon arrival and going through the self check out and calling Uhaul it was determined this location did not put keys in the lock box for my rental. I had to reschedule for the next morning at 7:00am when they opened. Things went fast and efficient at this point, but lost the night packing the truck and delaying our move.

The location is extremely understaffed for the weekend. It took me 30 minutes (maybe more) for the pick up and I had to wait in line at least 10 minutes to return the vehicle. A faster return process would be someone that receives the vehicle separate from the line where customers check out their purchases. Otherwise, the folks were very friendly and no other issues

Staff is outstanding, usually no issues either. The last trailer I rented had a brake issue, the brakes slammed hard when released and, in a panic, stop they would probably lock up.

1. I had to drive to the location just to ask if there was onsite parking for customers because the phone was not answered (during business hours); so, I had to make an extra trip. 2. The first truck, assigned was in poor condition, the driver seat was not adjustable, I couldn't reach the pedals. 3. The driver sun visor was attached only by the fastener near the door, so it just flopped around - It was not a safe vehicle. 4. The location kindly gave me a different truck in good condition except the passenger door frame was bent where the window area of the frame should be flush against the truck so there was an open air-gap, and the door was difficult to open and close. All other interactions and aspects of the rental went very smoothly; the staff friendly and accommodating and the price affordable for our needs.

The only thing I would suggest to improve is to make sure the outside mirrors on the truck are clean and not smudged and streaked so badly. It looked like someone just wiped the dust of with a wet rag and left a lot of smudges still on the mirrors. It was hard to see through them. Since I was not going very far, I didn't clean them myself, but would have if I had had the truck for a longer period of time. It just shows how much you care about the customer.

Everyone with whom I came into contact was friendly and helpful. It appears that U-Haul's procedures and processes for checking in, checking out, etc are not very easy to master and take the staff a considerable amount of time to navigate, but those at the Plano U-Haul did so as quickly as they could and didn't get frustrated. Just a pleasure to deal with.

I reserved my equipment 1 week in advance. 2 days prior, I received a phone call that my reservation was moved to another location, less convenient to me. The purpose and definition of "Reserve" means you are placing an item on hold for a given day and time. This was not honored. When arriving at the new location, we stood in the office for about 15 minutes. No one. We had to walk around and find someone. Once we did, all was good. However, I was asked for my ID again, even though I was asked to up load it previously. What is the purpose of pre checkin, only to have to do it all over again?? Return was very easy. We just pulled in and dropped it off.

The only complaint I have is the lady that was helping me when I was picking up my reservation for a 20 foot moving truck. She said the truck had a full tank of gas, it didn't. It had 3/4 of a tank of gas. I'm pretty sure if I would've been a black male she would've said oh it has 3/4 of a tank of gas which would have been the truth. Meaning if I would've returned it with 3/4 of a tank of gas she would've charged me for the other 1/4 tank of gas which would basically be stealing from the customer because the customer turned in the vehicle at the gas level the customer received it at. I just thought that was a little suspicious or odd that she would say it had a full tank of gas and it didn't. Fortunately for y'all, I will be using this location again because it is the closest location to me and very convenient. Just seemed like she was a little racist towards me, not that she was. That's just my thoughts. If it doesn't have a full tank of gas say so, if you're not sure, go verify how much is in the vehicle. Overall I would say, very good experience except for what I mentioned. The truck was clean, well-maintained, drove easily. Whenever I am in need of moving supplies or the moving truck, I will definitely be back. Just make sure you're giving your customers accurate information which includes how much fuel is in the vehicle so they know what they can return it at and not be charged for extra fuel

When I tried to turn in the trailer in Winnsboro, the location was closed, and it appeared the operating hours were random. Clients were directed to call for an attendant.. I called and was hung up o\n!!! The next day I went to the location and found it closed. I called the number, several times to NO AVAIL. I eventually removed the trailer from my truck hitch after a great deal of effort. Most people cannot lift the front of the trailer. A roll-up hitch with tire or pedestal would be extremely helpful.

I called the day before about renting a truck asking if I needed to reserve one and was told there were ample trucks and should be no problem to rent one. When I arrived, I was told they had an unusual demand and had no trucks available. I had arranged for friends to help me move out furniture within a small window of time and did not have time to find a truck elsewhere. I don't understand why I was not encourage to reserve a truck when I first called. I rented a van which didn't suffice for the amount of furniture we needed to move.

The worst experience I've ever had The passenger side mirror is too loose that while driving it is tilting away to otherside, I missed couple of close crashes while taking exit on US-75 my heart rushed like anything. I kept asking my friend to hold that mirror how come this is fair, paying for U-Haul and holding the mirror The ignition keys are not original keys those are some replica which are tough to turn on the knob of ignition and take it off from it after turning off Overall this was a worse experience I had with this It's not even a penny worth U-Haul you have given me on my reservation I literally paid for it and raised my anxiety while passing through exits.

It's also very nice that there is a "restroom" within the Storage Room area. Most Self Storage facilities do not provide this. It's a great feature.

Should be 24 hour access. I have a concern about what if someone were to lose their swipe card inside the facility and there was an emergency - how would they get out? They would be trapped. Could they use a PIN like the last four of the cell number?

Decent place. I was a little mad and upset about the move out. I paid $180 on the 5th if August and I moved out the 10th and they will not prorate and give me my money back for the rest of the month. It's very sad witb a company so huge and they can't afford to do prorate. Wouldn't recommend on that fact alone

On 4/29, there was an issue with the sliding door to access 2105, it was locked and would not open. My son had planned to clear the unit that afternoon, but could not access, because of this, we were unable to clear the unit until the next month, which meant another monthly charge.

It was too expensive for such a small storage. Other locations has better prices but I booked online and thought it was closer to my residence . Will not book here again. It cost over $270 just to book a storage: 10" 10 for 6 weeks ,however the storage was so small compared to the same 10"10 I had booked in Dallas for $100, it's a shame .

Very smooth process Ruth (Redmond?) was amazing, explained everything very well Technology was not too challenging It rained and there was gross standing water where the key drop off was located :( Also, I think the float for the fuel gauge is sticking because the fuel needle stopped moving down after 3/4 tank so concern about running out of gas.

Wasn't provided the crucial information from 1st rep I setup storage that I needed to pay an fee of 10$ for extended access to storage that lead to be not being able to access my unit to unload truck and load into storage. Had to leave my storage truck without unloading and find additional help the next day and drive 1hour each way to drop off help and to turnaround and do it over. General manager Zane only gave me 1additional day on truck rental. No discount on truck for the rep not providing this crucial info about fee for access that lead to all my inconvenience. Very very disappointed in a resolution to correct their error or show that they value you as a coustomsr

It started with an email at the Los Rios location along with a phone call to Plano Police Crime Stoppers. Therefore if Matthew is a General Manager he failed the corporate office by taking advantage of an emergency situation when he knew about my mother being raped inside of Medical City of Plano. I walked in on them discussing IT early one morning when I dropped off in a 2008 White Cadillac license plates MRR 5500. I was charged $150 plus $39 to get my items out of the storage when the situation could HAVE BEEN RESOLVED when Ashley was there. She even told me that they was in there stealing money from the register as they was using my "personal" money out of my bank account by using Google/Apple Pay. I deposited my retirement funds in a Frost Account with Joe Lemon when I was a contractor with BearCom. Ian was also aware just as well as Mike Guthrie from Ray Huffines. From what I understand, those are their kids when Guthrie rode with me to go to Service King in July.

The car I reserved was not there. And then the uhaul guy told me the car is not in service because the tires were blown. So I had to wait for a car to be cleaned and ready bc my car wasn't available. It added a lot of extra time to my check in process and it was very frustrating

The associate Trinity that helped me was great! She was nice and friendly. She went above and beyond walking me around to show me different sizes of the storage I would need. Even the manager on duty was great! U-Haul was last stop with shopping around comparing prices for storage units and I'm so GLAD that it was my final stop because the team was amazing.. I left the store feeling like a valued customer. Last but not least, upon leaving I had to place my lock on my storage. It was a older Hispanic gentleman that works there he was walking around outside. He saw that I was having a hard time with placing my lock in for first time he even came over and helped! 10 out of 10 I definitely recommend this location.

I signed up online for a 5x5 unit but they did not have any when I got there so the the agent stated they would give me the next size up for the same price. Then later after making me the representations and promise to me she called me to say not going to respect the agreement she made to me. I am requesting that they be held to the promises and agreement made to and with me.

They didn't give me my first month free initially. And overcharged my credit card. When I discovered it at the point of sale they said they would refund my credit card. I haven't gotten the money yet. In the meantime they charge the $15 late fee and reinstated the original first month monthly charge. I tried to give a little bit of leeway because the guy who checked me on was being trained. But it is hard when it affects my finances and credit rating. The next thing I know they're going to repossess my furniture. I tried to call them and I had to go on hold for an hour and they said I was in the wrong department and I would have to go on hold for another hour. I don't know how U-Haul can get away with this but I do know that I will never ever use them again and I will also tell everyone I know and post everywhere that I know online about the shoddy service that I received. There was a few other details like they tried to put me into a double decker unit. The unit I actually got I didn't complain about even though the door was half size and it created more effort and moving in. Today nobody seems to care about the customer. I get the impression that their job is just a hobby and the customers just a nuisance. One more thing. The truck that I rented was under a quarter tank of fuel. I don't know why they can't fill it up so I don't have to go to a gas station out of my way rather than one on the way to my destination.

Everything operation wise was great however when I went to drop my truck off I was told that I would not get my gas credit that I was promised at my initial location. I am unsure why there is disconnect and I may have just wasted my money all because no integrity was upheld.

I have chosen this UHaul location for many purposes over the past 10 years; in-town truck moves, one-way trailer moves and most recently I rented a storage unit at this location. The unit was very easy to access, controlled entry to units was very secure process. The available access hours are convenient. The unit was clean & dry. The employees at this location are friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient.

I had terrible experience at this location. Someone screwed up my rental from the beginning and I had to continually go back to the location monthly to have my bills adjusted. Some staffs were downright rude and without looking at the account concluded that I owed. Soooo glad I'm done with this nightmare

As of 9/5/2020. Doing business with this company was the worst experience I've ever had unfortunately. I paid for the storage unit 1973. I rented a uhaul truck. I paid movers to put my items in storage unit 1973. After getting to the unit with a truck load of iitems. The worst thing ever, NO ONE REMOVED THE UHAUL COMPANY LOCK. SO, I WAS LOCKED OUT OF USING UNIT 1973 FOR WHICH IT WAS PAID IN FULL WITH THE EXTRA 10 FEE TO HAVE ACCESS TO THE UNIT FOR 24 HOURS A DAY. I HAD TO PAY MY MOVERS FOR AN INCOMPLETE JOB BECAUSE THE UNIT 1973 WAS NEVER AVAILABLE TO ME AFTER IT WAS PAID FOR.

The unit I originally rented was determined by management to be unavailable. Since I was out of town, and not able to move the contents, UHaul employees moved the contents. Unfortunately, the contents were moved to a second story building with no elevator. At the time I was 79 and preparing for hip surgery. I was not advised that this would be the new location. Further, when I returned, the lock had been changed and I was unable to get into my unit. Eventually, the key was found. In addition, the building has no interior signage indicating the location of the second floor units and there is not access from upstairs hallways to other hallways on the second story. Really a sad situation. While the front desk employees were sympathetic, no one offered any help or any apology for what was a major screw up.

I could be mistaken but I believe the GM name was Jordan. He was very helpful, happy and super funny! On 3/6/20 him and the other employee made my moving day bearable and a thousand times better. Also a customer came in about the brakes on the truck, claiming your company was trying to give her a truck with brakes not working. She was OVER THE TOP rude and Jordan still smiled at her and never once became unprofessional with her. I normally don't leave comments but as an Area Manager in the restaurant industry, I know praise should be recognized when excellence service is given.

We had one incident where we had trouble with the combo lock on the outer door. Staff immediately let us in and fixed the door. Facility was always clean, well lit, and staff always very helpful.

We were charged fees for dollies, pads, cleaning fees and 2 days of use but the dollies and pads were our own personal equipment which has not been returned and the truck was taken so we didnt finish
