Alexis CasisSelf pick up process took over 10 minutes. Website was very slow despite good connection. Return process was also just weird. The website gave instructions that couldn't be followed. Had to call the main support line that finally gave me some instructions. App self-return process was just broken… Office was a hallway with tape and like 2 chairs. Guests were freaking out and being aggressive with other guests. Terrible experience… maybe just shut the location down if they're going to be doing major renovations like this…
Zhen XuIn terms of cleanliness, the floor was clean on the driver side but significant amount of sand on the passenger side. Despite known I will pickup the truck after hours, the truck was parked in the farthest and darkest part of the lot. I would expect the truck to be parked right at the front. I had to use my phone as a flashlight and search the whole lot to find the truck

All jobs can be stressful but each visit, I never seen a frustrated employee. It was raining really bad yesterday. They were all motivated.

Joseph AndersonThere needs to be a disclosure about the furniture dollys. They do not function well on carpet. Made it difficult and frustrating to move the heavy furniture to the new apartment. The heavy item would either slide off or the wheels would just stop functioning. I like the introduction of the plastic boxes. Those were very helpful.

Candice GradneyThe mobile app I started with to pick up a van was frustrating and didn't work in the end. The live assistance tried to help and walk me through it, but we kept encountering problems. In the end, she was able to move my reservation to a nearby location that was open so I could work with a person. Not sure I'll ever try to use the mobile app for pickup again. The Potomac mills location took care of me and got me in my way.

The agent that greeted me, "Latrelle T." was courteous, professional and knowledgeable on all accounts. The 15' truck I was assigned performed magnificently and was more than spacious. Fast forwarding, I did'nt get the name of the staff member that assisted me with the return process but this gentleman made it so easy. I thought I had skipped an step, nope it was just that easy. In conclusion, I would recommend this Uhaul location to my friends, family or anyone that's in need of an alternative rental van or truck. See you next time!

Karen Morgan | Online Move InThere's an additional fee for 24hr access. The place is constantly overrun with vehicles blocking access to units. I have to call and give 24hr notice to get into my unit that I was charged $285/mo for. The staff was generally helpful, more phone calls went to the national call center than the actual employees at the location. The barrage of people seeking under the table employment on the premises, is unsafe. They run up to vehicles and stand in the driving lanes.

They were very helpful and professional, the whole way as far as Baltimore, where I picked up my moving truck, unprofessional by all means, and the only reason why I closed my account and moved my items to a new storage was because it was cheaper, by at least $100 even, maybe considering lowering the prices on your storage units and you may have more storage users.

I told him i had a free reservation he didn't listen and had to start over. Finally we went out to look for the unit and I knew where the unit was before him but again he didn't listen. Then when i got my unit open there were spider and cobwebs EVERYWHERE..i literally had to wipe it all away with my own broom. Oh not to mention when i got the first unit, and its now dark by the way, I've gotten a quarter of my stuff in the unit already and he comes back out to tell me he gave me the wrong unit.. the experience was trash and made my day last longer than i needed which wasn't cool because I had missed something important due to the nonsense i dealt with at Uhaul. What should have been a 30 min experience turned into almost 2 hours and mind you, i had a 10 foot truck of stuff going into a 5' 10' 5' and again I've been in the moving industry so it didnt take more than 15 or 20 minutes to unload my truck and stack it in the unit.

I chose this place because it was advertised as 24/7 but more often than not there were rental trucks blocking the through way. However, to the benefit of this location this seems endemic to all uhauls. Therefore for future storage needs i will be renting from a non-uhaul location

We called on Friday 8/13 to speak with an agent about securing a storage unit, but she stated she did not know if there was availability and did not know how to check if there was availability. She took my name and phone number and said he manager would call back with info. We never got the follow up communication. So I called back Saturday 8/14 to inquire again, and Brandon was helpful and confirmed a 10'x10' unit for us to start Sunday 8/15. We arrived Sunday 8/15 and waited a while to be helped. A young lady with long curly hair and freckles led me up to help me, and took a 5 minute phone call in the middle of helping me. She didn't seem to have a thorough understanding of the system and how to get me into my unit quickly. Finally she gave us an access card and the unit number. When we drove around to the unit, it was in use but closed to the owner for nonpayment. So we go back inside to get another unit. A young, thin gentlemen with braces helped assign us to another unit, which was going to be larger and more expensive since there were no other 10'x10' available. I hen we went over to that unit, it was also in use and closed to the owner for nonpayment. He came around to the unit to meet us and completely shared our frustrations because there were no other available units of any size. He stated his frustration with the assistant manager who is responsible for not letting their system show availability for these types of units. (Sorry for the descriptions, no one on site wore a name tag). We quickly called a Public Storage down the street where a fast, friendly, professional associate got us a unit immediately. Thanks to their assistance, we were able to secure our belongings same day with ZERO HASSLE! The experiences between the two companies was night and day. I am also aware that the manager of this location passed away recently, which we were sorry to hear. I have no doubt the team we encountered was working hard to do the beat they could, given the circumstances. As a customer, i just want to relay that they need more support and assistance right now. Your corporate leaders would not be happy with how this location is currently operating.
