Katherine CollierI arrived at 7:30am to pick up the truck as per my reservation. There were 6 other customers waiting ahead of me all with reservations. There was only one employee scheduled to work. I waited in line for 45 minutes and he was only able to get through 2 customers in that amount of time. I asked the poor guy if he would like me to come back later because I didn't really need it till 1:00. He shouted yes please and asked me my last name. I told him and said "thank you, I will take care of you when you come back. When I came back he was not available and another guy insisted on taking care of me. I explained what happened that morning. He totally ignored me and focused on doing my paperwork. When he finished it he threw it on the counter and start rattling off pickup time and other information when he highlighted the return time it was less than 24hours. I pointed that out and he said that's "what it was reserved for. I said that was if I had a picked it up in the morning. His response was " it's not are fault you picked it up late. I responded, I didn't pick it up late. I did the other guy a favor by postponing it. He totally ignored everything I had explained to him. To cut to the chase… I retruned the truck the next day at 10:30 am. I was 30 minutes late. Same guy waited on me and proceeded to charge me for an extra day. He was extremely rude to me. There was nothing I could do because he had my card number and he just charged my account. I have rented from u-haul many times over the years. I have never encountered this kind of lack of service and most definitely his rudeness! I will never use them again and I am going to be sure to share my experience with anyone that mentions using u-haul in the future!!

Steve WhiteDylan was awesome with both the 20' rental truck and the car trailer. The other staff person thought he knew how to get the pigtail working on the trailer, but actually made it worse. Dylan was methodical, got us transferred to a different working trailer. The other associate made us late by 20 mins. The online help was nice as it was Sun of daylight savings weekend, and we had lost an hour. She moved oor return time 1 hour later

Walter DavallIt was raining hard and steady (Redding, CA). In spite of this we were not rushed. We were given GREAT explanations regarding the equipment. He did not rush through and used accomplished skills of clarification and confirmation enabling us to have a successful and SAFE trip. I left the lot feeling secure that the use of the equipment would be returned without incident.

Heather OrtizI have two minor complaints. First , the right side tail light kept going out due to a loose connector, easily fixed by pushing it back in, but it would wiggle back out again. Brake light/signal stayed working though. Second, the tailgate pin on the right side was tough to get out and back in. Something was bent a little and wouldn't let it freely slide in and out. Other than those things, it was perfect for moving some appliances around. The ramp tailgate was fantastic for trucking things onto the trailer.

Kevin BROOKSMy reservation was changed twice and I was t notified the second time. I had to wait for an hour to pick up my truck-after I did the online check out, and the workers didn't do a walk around with the truck. In addition, the truck that we got had a slipping transmission.

Tristan BuckinghamNothing I've used this U-Haul location for storage and for moving my belongings when my apartment came available. I will use it again if the time comes when I should move again. I always tell others that they should go not to U-Haul to rent what they need to move but also specify the location of the Churn Creek location as the employees are always professional and friendly as well as caring and clearly explaining your return of the truck in my case. Keep up the excellent work!!

Forrest Boozer1. This is a situation that was only the person who rented the auto trailer before me. The ramps were encrusted with mud. This did not stop me from using the trailer. 2. I was told to return the trailer at 7:30AM on a Sunday. The Cypress Blvd, store does not open until 9:00AM on Sunday. I ended up waiting for 1,5 hours. I called the emergency service number to explain the situation and I was worried of being charged for another day. The nice woman reset the computer time for turn in so I would not be charged and extra day. Finally at 9:00AM I was allowed to check in. I have to say that scheduled turn in time should really be the time the store actually opens.

Traci YoungNot a comment about the Redding location. U-Haul Corporate however is horrible. From the moment I rented the unit as a one-way to Redding, I got constant emails and text messages asking if I would a) use an alternate drop off that was 70 miles away (round trip) or b) would I tow a trailer from KFalls to Redding. These emails/texts got more and more aggressive - even though I declined. The final messages, the night before drop off, claimed that all the lots in Redding were full and I could not drop off in Redding but MUST use the alternate location. When I got to the Redding lot it was half empty. Very poor experience with Corporate.
Marc PinnellThe Redding location is convenient and well maintained. The employees are helpful and courteous. My only issue was with the alarm system. It seems embarrassing to the employees that the alarm doesn't function as it is supposed to. Even with an access code and a swipe card, the alarm went off every time I opened my storage unit. I've had employees check on me to make sure I'm opening my own unit and they seem frustrated they have to deal with this issue regularly. Apparently it is a corporate issue that is not being addressed. Otherwise a good storage experience.

Due to an upcoming project at the facility we were asked to relocate or move out and help was offered. While it wasn't ideal to move so quickly, we would have e stayed another month at least, the offers of help financially and logistically was appreciated. I would rent again with Uhaul in the future, including for storage needs.

It was very uncomfortable moving in because the area is so unsecured and totally open to anyone. I had transients walk through just in the short time I was there unloading and there is garbage and signs of transient use behind my unit. I really think you should consider fencing the area and allow access only to customers. That being said I am grateful to have a place to put my things and for the free month that came with my trailer rental. I hope it stays secure. $1000 insurance could never cover the loss of keepsakes and property. Best wishes, Richard

My order was mysteriously canceled and I had to call to fix it then I was never told it was an indoor storage unit up a flight of stairs and that was NOT what I needed(the redbluff uhaul storage set up was what I expected) And the redding location doesn't honor the free month and they had such limited availability they couldn't even give me the correct size. Ive never had any issues renting trucks and equipment but my experience with the storage aspect really tainted my trust. I hope your employees are clearer in the future.

jana thurner | Premières impressionsI reserved a storage unit several days before moving but when I got into town I was told by a somewhat robotic and unemotional employee that there were no storage units available and my reservation which was confirmed via credit card and email was not in their system. It's completely unacceptable. The toilet in this facility also constantly has feces all down the back of the toilet bowl. Same exact situation 3 years ago when I rented there, no change.

I'm 50 and can hop th edd fence easily. did purchase insurance, but I did not get the impression that that matters.

Edward Blackwell | Expérience généraleAbout half way through my stay, a Uhaul rep called me and stated they would need to cut my lock off to install new security system. I gave them approval as long as they put another one on and left me a key at the front desk. After my wife tried to get the key she was told they would never do that. After about a week of trying they finally came out to remove the lock again (assuming we locked ourselves out) and came to the realization that they had the key in one of their drawers up front. Pretty disappointed at how much of my wife and I's time was wasted. Facilities are incredibly expensive compared to local storage.

The wait times are excessive. Every call is transferred to at least 3 other "departments" and sometimes you MUST go to the local UHaul to have your question answered or need resolved. Corporate is terrible. Local is amazing! Local phone contact would be even better. Thank you, Cyprus Redding UHaul for all your help!
