Steve WestFirst, I reserved a truck in Canyon but had to get the truck at this location in a completely different town. Second, the mobile check-in / pick-up didn't work. Third, the truck was filthy - I could barely see out of the windshield before cleaning it myself. Fortunately, Jaycie was there at 7:00 a.m. She was the only bright spot with this process. I have no intention of ever using U-Haul again.

Walter CranmerKeep a tracking device on all trailers. My entire was stolen in Amarillo Texas and Uhaul informed me that they do not put trackers on all of the trailers? WHY? Everything I owned was in this UHaul. Make sure you get a trailer with a tracking device!
Kimberly Millwoodprices for one way truck rental is outrageous. Does not seem in line with the cost of living at all.....500 miles for $900? assinine. The truck was great....but the cost is astronomical and unacceptable. would not recommend.

Michael WeltyI picked up the truck and it worked fine when I drove it about 3 miles to my house. About an hour later I moved the truck from the front of my house to the back and the truck would not shift out of first gear. I unloaded the truck and brought it back to the pick up location (about an hour after picking it up) and asked to be switched to a different truck. They had another 15' truck on the lot. They would not switch me to the other truck, said I had to go through Roadside Assistance which I did not have time to do. I ended up driving the truck and hoped it would work properly. Fortunately, it did. You made your problem, my problem, which sucked.
Craig QuamI was asked by the U-Haul store to return my truck five hours after I picked it up because they issued me an in-town truck for my out of state travel. My truck was already backed and I was on my out of town. I had to turn around, drive back to the store, and was delayed 4 hrs to change trucks and move my furniture once again. The movers broke items while moving my furniture and I was issued $60 in gas credit, but ended up filling the new truck with $58 BRFORE I left town. Worst experience in my life. Thank you for the $2 inconvenience back pay.

Michael ParkerThe people I rented from had some trouble getting things together this morning. The person I dealt with returning was great. The storage facility definitely doesn't seem up to standards for the cost of things but I was too tired to find a new storage facility after moving all day. It smells like straight up moth balls; not a fan of that. Overall, it was a decent experience and could have been worse.

The price was the deciding factor though, as I opted for only a temporary space, but if I need to rent space in the future, I will call first to verify the configuration.

Crystal IveyService for U-Haul pick was very poor. I rented 2 different U-Haul trucks this past weekend. Each time I did Mobil pick up both times and both times got to this location and truck was between 2 other trucks bumper to bumper and truck was not even ready. Had to go in both times to get keys and :nd truck I had to wait 30 minutes for them to finally move it and had to do lease contract inside store when I did Mobile pick up . I returned the 2 nd truck and was going to by a lock that was priced at 8,95 on tag on shelf and the guy was cashing me out and told me my total is 17,44 I mentioned the tag says 8,95 he told me and I quote : the tag is a lie it's 17,44 I'm not changing the price we haven't got our new tags in to change so 17,44 is your total: I told him wow you doubled the price it says and then again he said 17,44 is your total I said I'm not going to pay that when price is marked he then said whatever don't buy it's not the price on tag it changed and said to me " take it for 17,44 or your not getting I have other things to do besides worry about a lock" I said never mind I won't buy it and he said ok then leave without it . I left and I really don't know what the problem is at this location but I don't feel comfortable with the location and I was going to get a storage unit but this location has lost my business and my respect

Scott WilliamsYou should honor the rates you provide on the website when reserving equipment. I got charged about $200 extra when picking up the trailer dolly. Also, I could not pick the Safemove option and had to pick the SafeMove Plus on the website. The truck was not clean inside. The Uhaul location had not protection pads although it said it did online.

Valerie Bossett-OwensThe system is not communicating in a synchronize manner: local stores and online. Bought 6 packing tapes online, sent only one but didn't communicate on the deficiency of 5 packing tapes. When came to 3 local stores in San Antonio and Amarillo, none of customer reps could help to pick up the remaining 5 tapes. Called customer service online and was told the tapes will be delivered next week; our moving is this week. We have 3 young kids and a van to drive about. Original reservation to pickup the truck was 5 minutes away and was made 3 weeks ago for 8am. Less than a week before moving, the location changed, 20 minutes away with almost an hour trip. The whole family had to go. Be ready for surprises at UHaul when it comes to customer services. However, UHaul is business that make our moving anywhere affordable. It's promises to customers needs improvement.
Phuong LeFriendly staff. But the website has way too much upselling, and the advertised prices are kinda misleading. I would prefer more transparency about the actual prices a person will pay. Most people today can barely afford food, so budgeting is important.

There seems to be a disconnect between the online system and local availability process. Jaci was a tremendous help. As I walked around the storage area it appeared to be the first floor had many units available but the manager did no want to rent them?

I did get an 15 foot. Asked for rental space on the base floor Did not have! Had to get two units on the third floor very inconvenient, elevator would not hold to get everything on other people need it, of course. equipment was in adequate to move stuff. Regular full-size bed and queen bed was falling over the sides of it.. I have furniture to move it adequate to put on the third floor and have to move it. 2 to 300 feet from elevator inconvenient all the way around had five people helping took over two hours to unload boxes and two mattresses and one couch.. waste of my time and renting the U-Haul need to be refunded the U-Haul because I have to rent one again tomorrow to finish The job! didn't have access like I was told to the building for 24 hours was told at 8 o'clock could not come back had two more loads at least and there were homeless people staying, there and was told we had to leave bye U Haul people. They said they could do nothing about homeless people being there in the building! So therefore it was unsafe to come back and was unable to come back because both of these situations … Would like my U-Haul money refunded because I have to rent another one to take care of the move and complete what should've been completed the day before. I have a Realtor coming tomorrow Monday 26 June. to take pictures of my house which is not ready now. To put on the market for sale. This is a big deal

I attempted to move out March 3rd after signing a lease at my new place and the system wouldn't let me because my payment was do March 1st. I called the customer service line and was told Uhauls policy is to charge you a full month even if you don't need it for the month because it was past my due date. But the nice representative did state that usually in circumstances like mine the area manager would probably only charge me for the time I needed or prorated.. So I called and was over talked by Abe , he was very rude I asked him to please stop over talking me and let me get a word in and he refused. He also tried to make a side deal with my boyfriend by letting us come pay $80 for one day to let us get into the storage get our things and then he would lock it back up. Crazy right? I refused to agree to that because let's be honest that's still a rip off. Long story short I was charged $147 for the month of March and I moved out March 3rd how fair is that? Plus I paid for a moving truck for a day. I have never been treated this way at Budget trucks or Self Storage. Or any storage company for that matter. Most companies allow you to pay a prorated amount upon move out day but not U-Haul. They steal from long time customers or at least this location does. Please beware of this.

The manager seemed to have covered the fact that it wasn't taken care of by saying "they never check cameras for stolen incidents"

jeffery jones | Premières impressionsThey only had one size unit available which was still too small I called their other location they had even a smaller unit only available then right at the last minute as I was in the parking lot they informed me at the location I was at that they were able to get me a slightly bigger unit that one had just become available instead of letting me drive off they took the time and consideration I greatly appreciate it I would highly recommend U-Haul for storage and moving it was an interesting experience for the fact that the employees actually cared about someone even like me to walk in and still find me a better unit and not giving up in doing so that is an act of service you do not see too often anymore to go a little above and beyond goes a long way thank you don't stop hiring employees like that and continue your services as is

Moving into my unit should've been super easy because I had a reservation, but when I got there you didn't have a unit available in the size I reserved and your employees tried to railroad me into paying more for a bigger unit when I didn't need more storage space. If someone makes a reservation you should always be prepared to honor that reservation, or at least honor that price, without customers having to argue with 3 different employees.

It had only been in storage for 5 weeks. You refund my money for July storage. Then texts are sent to me about not paying and late charges. Received several of this texts from Dan Somers. It took multiple calls to straighten this out. Poor customer service.

Staff are very helpful and kind, but facility is very understaffed. All I needed to do was check out of my unit and I waited 35 minutes just to hand in a lock and get a receipt. My need was less than 2 minutes long and I waited 35. This is not the first time I have waited here. Great place, but poorly staffed.

Tyler Cowan | Expérience généraleThe only complaint I have with U-Haul is in regards to the processing automatic draft payments and the $15 dollar processing fee associated with deactivated debit cards. In this modern electronic banking world in which we all live, fraudulent activity on one's debit/bank account is very common occurrence. Fraudulent activity almost always triggers one's debit card to be deactivated by the issuing banking institution and requires the holder of the debit card to contact every entity that has an automatic draft or auto pay associated. Rather than offer a courtesy call, email, etc. when a payment is declined by a debit card that has been deactivated due to fraudulent activity, U-Haul simply adds a $15 fee as if the account was overdrawn. The storage facility to which I moved to does not tack on ridiculous fees and offers a courtesy call when payment cannot be processed.
Mike Moreland | Expérience généraleHad a vehicle in storage for months and turns out this location leaves the gate open all hours of the day and night and pays no attention to customer belongings. I decided to have the car shipped to me upon finding this out, the truck driver was able to enter the facility, work with a local tow driver, get to the back where my truck was, load it and drove off without so much as a gate code. Had also been trying to get in contact with the employees on location to help set up the shipping and for over a month all I could reach is corporate customer service because the location refused to answer or return any calls. I also ended up paying an extra month because of the same issue. Do not reccomend. Search elsewhere for a storage facility.
