They gave me the wrong storage to me in it was a headache to all ready have to move in.then they gave me the smallest truck they had in I need a bigger truck but it was a headache all day cause they had all my mess up when I got to the U-Haul place it was just a headache

Douglas CascarinoI reserved a truck/utility dolly/ furniture pads 2 weeks prior to pick up. They didn't have any type of dolly's available, therefore, I had to purchase one. They completed my truck paper and proceeded to pull the truck around. Only to find the truck wasn't on the lot, so they had to start paperwork again for another truck, I took the truck next door to put fuel in the truck and out of curiosity checked to see if they put the furniture pads in the back which they didn't. I would be more understanding if they were busy, but I was the only customer. Not sure what good doing a reservation ahead of time for equipment only to find out it's first come first go. Very frustrating experience!!

craig fullenOverall, the experience was very satisfying--I answered YES to all questions (safe/clean/friendly staff/etc.)This was a temporary need for us, not long-term. I was pleased to have a free month by virtue of having rented a trailer, but granting me a larger unit (10 x 10) b/c the 5 x 10 was not available turned out to be unpleasant--it cost $50 more when the first month's rent hit my card. Negatives were relatively minor: 1) One of the occupancy sensors on the hall we were on was at the far end from the hall we entered from, so we had to walk the distance to get it to operate. 2) It was too easy to forget to sign in, and the alarm went off, but quieted down after a few minutes. (Not sure what a good solution is for that, since it really only trains a customer to sign in, not to deter any real criminals.)

Latanya ChaseApparently there is a disconnect between the corporate systems and local centers for scheduling. I scheduled for 10am and when the center called to confirm they stated someone else was already slated for 10am. Online does one thing and local does another. Not the first time this has happened at U-haul for me.
Darren BellounyI appeared for my scheduled appointment on 1/25, only to be told that my appointment had been moved without any notice to me. I was pretty understanding of this, as the installer was out for a dentist appointment, though I have no idea why I wasn't contacted. They then called me a few minutes later to ask to reschedule my appointment, not realizing that I had already come in and rescheduled it. I then showed up on my rescheduled date. Having been told it would take 1-2 hours, I planned to wait. The job actually took 3 hours from the time I arrived. That was frustrating. The wiring for the hitch is connected directly to my battery and the wire runs the length of my car. I only hope that it is safe and durable. I would still recommend this location because I have used it many times. But it's clear that processes need to be tightened up. (To the credit of ll involved, multiple people apologized for the delay and they were very friendly).

He was helping a other customer at the time and he made sure to apologize to me for the wait and he was coming back to check me. I had such a wonderful experience yesterday. I had the unit for a little over a year and had 3 rate increases in that time frame. $130 became unreasonable for a unit that wasn't climate controlled.

Kim ShambleMake sure that the equipment the customer is requesting provided for them prior to close of business. You should have someone checking all the request that come in before you tell the customer the order is ready for pickup and have them find out it's not. You should also get a different lock system for the keys it took over 20 minutes in the cold to get it opened.

The fender on the left was severely damaged. This was already documented before I left. After removing rubber cables and jerk fender down to be able to exit car after loading.

He watched me move belongs and while I wasn't standing there anymore, he would lock the door.

I was texted 'I'm going to let my baby brother handle the move' $100 per hour for two polite but inexperienced boys. Freshman and junior in high school. The front desk person said that I was rude to the young boys….nice but slow, inexperienced and overpriced. The front desk man said that I couldn't find cheaper movers, wrong. This morning two young men helped me working hard for less per hour. How dare he say I was wrong after just experiencing this morning!! Then the two polite but two polite but young boys walked off without obtaining the paid code. The young female (pretty sure another family member) finally returned. She said she thought the boys had obtained what was needed because one had done several times. I could have left without giving the code however did. Because I did not have many items they finished around an hour, paid for minimum of two hours. As I checked out I was told a different price than originally quoted. The big difference was how it was calculated, very differently. So, no I would not recommend this mover which is obviously very involved with U-Haul or this particular U-Haul. I've used Uhaul before and considered professional. I'm a professional but have been going through some medical issues. I'm sure I don't appear to be a professional. I truly think below average is a more accurate rating but I'll stay at average. I'm so frustrated that I'm babbling this review. I'm glad I waited for my first movers. I want to give them a 5! I'd call them again anytime! They worked hard, appeared like they had done before many times. Your employees don't need to worry about me. I'll try and get out as soon as possible.

mary dixon | Expérience généraleDONNA was extremely rude, lied, talked to me like I was her child and hung up the phone in my ear. Issue at the office regarding my belongings and move out date. I get there on the last day to remove the few items left and my items are gone from my unit. I was there the past 2 days. She told me I didn't know how to read my agreement, which in fact I was right being that it said "on or by" the date. You can get your items on that date! I even went to the office the day before and called later on. She told me my belongings were at the landfill (it was early in the morning) which she lied about being that they were on the truck. I didn't leave the store because I wanted my belongings, KNOW how to read, know my rights and knew they were on the truck. My unit was still open and had cracked locks with nothing in the unit. Luckily I took a picture of my agreement because the guy a few days prior mentioned that he couldn't print a copy because of their printer. She hung up on me while I'm in the store talking to the nice employer (she was on site, but in a unit and I had her personal business phone). When she came in, not knowing I was still there, she told me to call the landfill, another lie, and stated that she didn't hang up on us, another lie. She hung up while I was talking mid sentence asking if I can just get my belongings and the phone was on speaker. If I was in the wrong I would of excepted the fact, but I wasn't. She needs to be fair to everyone, not just who she chooses to. She called the police because she wanted me out of the store because I wanted my stuff and I was right. Other employees even knew she was in the wrong. The police officer and actual manager eventually came outside to me after going inside (I called the police too and even though I didn't have to leave out of the store because I wasn't trespassing, I was outside in my car). I was able to get my belongings being that I was RIGHT! All of what she did for nothing! The manager stated that she likes to go in there early to get a head start getting things out of units. No! You have to go by policy not just when you feel like it! The manager stated that she should of put a time on it for that day, which was not there. The officer informed me that I was right. AND the items were on the UHAUL parked right in front of the storage entrance on the side. I know I'm not the only one this has happened to. This was embarrassing and belittling!!!!! Her lack of care was sad with her smirked face. I didn't give my hand and tell her who I was, what I knew and titles I hold because she was going off of appearance alone. Treat people how you want to be treated and know your own paperwork. This situation was worst in person.

I also like that there are carts to help with moving in and moving out, and a space to donate items. I used this facility for more than two years before completing my final move. My initial payment was $64,95 per month, and when I completed my move, the payment was $79,95 per month.

I called to question why I was billed she told me that both rentals could not be free. I I replied that maybe the other employees need to be told that information. I then I ask for the transcript of the conversation and she raised her voice I ask her to raise her voice at me she stated that if I wanted to be respected I need to show her respect because I am older than her. I again asked her for the number to cooperate so I can request the transcript. Young lady at the front desk was very rude on the phone she refused to help me. She even stated she will not help me. I ask to speak to the manager and she would not give her the phone l. She said ma'am I am not going ti help you ands she said I am going to hang up the phone.. she hung up on me I called back several time ands she said I am not going to give you the number. I called back from m another's number she said I know what this is all about then she gave me the number and she hung up the phone. Now I have to go in this store afraid for my life not knowing who are what I am going to be faced with. I need the units for my things.

Turns out it was his housekeeper helping make phone calls about coming to open my storage unit for my use. All other encounters with the staff and using the facility were up to par.

Myainya Daniels | Online Move InFor the most part I was happy with the storage here. I used the RV storage area. We rented for a few years and in that time our cost went up about 10 % per year, which was way too much and is now priced out of the market. In addition to that our light in our space was out for over a year even after repeated requests for getting it fixed. That light being out made backing the camper in after dark very challenging as we needed a few flashlights sitting by stuff to make sure we didnt hit a pole or the property beside us... so I could never do it alone either. We also had some sitting water under our camper, which again had multiple requests to fix it as my tires sitting in standing water makes them rot faster. If the company isnt willing to keep the property upkept and usable AND then continues to raise prices it was not good for me any longer. I now have the same type storage for 30 % less... so the same price I paid Uhaul a few years ago. with moderate price increases and getting things fixed I would of stayed, but things went too long not being addressed.

Sharon Howard | Premières impressionsI moved several times during my time in Greenville, so I not only used the facility for truck rentals, but also storage and moving supplies, as well. All of my experiences with them were great. The staff was extremely helpful. In particular, I booked a truck for a one-way to Chattanooga, however, when I arrived on the morning of my relocation, the my truck was not back when scheduled, and of course the driver would not answer their phone. The staff member quickly searched and booked me the same truck just a few miles away. I was already stressed about my trip, but was put at ease with his actions. My only suggestion would be to limit the number of carts each customer can use at one time when transporting their belongs in or out of the climate controlled storage building. There were several times when a number of us had a long wait or were forced to carry our things to our units because someone was using 3, 4 or 5 carts at a time. That being said, I would HIGHLY recommend this safe, clean and customer friendly facility.
kelvin thomas | Expérience généraleI was disappointed this past week after the snowfall. You guys did nothing to clear the access area of snow and ice. Fortunately I had a snow shovel in my unit. We were moving out our things out but had to shovel the loading area as best we could. People were slipping after getting out of their cars going into the facility. It was very dangerous. I don't know if anyone fell. I don't know what happened to your staff but your business did not do what it could to keep customers safe. I and several others at the time were very disappointed. Also, if the alarms go off and nothing happens what is the point of having alarmed units? People know that the alarm will stop and they can just keep doing what they were doing. Lastly, you need more flatbed carts. More mattress carts than flatbed carts don't cut it. Overall, we had a pleasant rental but the last couple of weeks did not foster a good experience. Because of these concerns I would have to think twice about recommending you in the future.

The process of swiping in was mentioned but not WHY you swipe in (i.e. you set off an alarm if you access your unit without swiping in) & swiping out was not mentioned at all. Fortunately, there are signs & I asked a young lady to clarify the process (Keisha? Maybe her name was... Lovely African American young woman) She's an asset for sure. Very pleasant and helpful. She clearly explained the check-in/out process & fetched me a lock while I was unloading and she opened the lock package as well. The facility is new and that helps with cleanliness. When I returned today a bar of soap that was in the elevator yesterday was now a ground up purple mess along with other bits of trash. Not a big deal but the elevator is essentially the front door for everyone who accesses their unit. The signs says 24 access is possible upon request but I was told only the GM could approve it. This is minor but it would be nice if there were always someone on hand who trusted make those decisions. All in all though, very good experience from start to finish. Je la recommande fortement.

Very much restricted turns and parking long rigs also know people came in and out with no access to be there and roamed around. They drove in when someone opened gate and then waited to leave when gate opened from inside saw this several times. That's very alarming and forced me to go over there every week to check on my boats. Not as secure as it should be. Very nice place but this needs to be addressed I think. Will be back in July. But when we got there to put our stuff in the space, we were told that we did not have a space and there were none available. After much conversation, the agent finally gave us one. There was definitely some miscommunication somewhere but we were never told that a phone call and credit card did not reserve space. After all that, we are very satisfied with our storage space. However I was really, extremely disappointment with my experience as the night ended. I wasn't informed that the big doors don't open after 7pm so I was stuck trying to fit a couch through one single door. As well as my pin code was showing a error that "I wasn't checked in" , when I did go upfront to sign and was given a lock. I also was granted time access prior, as soon as 7:06 came I no longer had access. So I was stuck outside with a couch and a couple of other items and couldn't receive assistance... but that's not the worse part, while inside and open my lock to my unit the alarm went off over the entire building, not once but twice! I'm not sure if it was due to this same "not checked in status" but I had no one to come help, customer service told me I would have to wait until the next day. This was unfortunate being I stay out of town, have not begun relocating yet. I also needed to check my Uhaul in on this day, and here I was after 8pm with no access and needing to get back home (2+ hours away) very very traumatizing... I give two stars because the customer service at the actual store were like angels... but I just had a horrid experience and some details where left out about the storage.

Not sure if there was some kind of promotion going on but it was awesome regardless. Also I accidentally set off the alarm in my unit because I didn't check in, which was explained to me prior. I just forgot to since the door to get in was already open from another tenant. But one of the staff was there to shut off the alarm and kindly explain to me the reasons for the alarm. Which is another awesome thing, each unit has its own alarm, which triggers when you don't check in or check out of your unit. Awesome facility.

The cashier wasn't nasty at all but the house keeper was & rude. I told her that if I didn't want that storage with roaches in it that was my right. She said she would clean it for me & that the studs she puts down kill them on contact. Well I didn't want to take that chance & was offered a new storage upstairs which I viewed & it had a baby roach dead. So I never put my furniture in storage I used a different storage place. I was concerned that the house keeper said she sprayed or put stuff down for the Roaches versus a exterminator coming in & spraying regularly. Bad experience for me.
