I had two uhaul box's that were stored there and I reached out to have them brought too me and I was told they didn't deliver to my area but yet I know at least two people that have had there stuff delivered. Then it took forever to figure out what truck for me to use to bring my stuff home to me and they tryed to over charge me by having me make two trips due to the truck then they gave me a 15footer to pull it.

I had called UHaul customer service and informed them that if possible to go get my belongings at the 5555 s pine Ave location in Ocala on Saturday 4/6/23 as that is the only day I will have help and a moving truck to get everything and then drive to Gainesville. I walked into the office no one there and I said Hello hello then from a door by products this young man walked out Orange wool beanie and bearded and I said Hi how are you. Response nothing went to organize the boxes not asking what I needed. So I proceeded to say I am here to get my contents from my Uhaul container I gave name he said we don't have you on here I said well I spoke and they said come here check in you will need a code and then they will take you to your container to unload. He said we need 24 hrs notice to get your container I explained that is unacceptable as I have a moving truck and friends for today only. He got on phone spoke to the guy with the fork to lift containers luckily I suppose the guy told miserable guy with orange beanie I can do it my container was infront and not far to locate. So he said you can park along the side down there I will call you on your phone when the container is ready the forklift guy maybe 15 mins we could see him take a container and drive around back of warehouse where containers are stored then my phone rang so we went to container we couldn't open as bolts were left in so had to find grumpy again and 10 mins he showed up looking at bolt and trying to unscrew (  ) he said I have to go get a wrench I was like ok tyvm 10 mins where is he finally he shows up unscrews it and drives off in his golf cart we removed everything and then he came back real quick this time and said we need the blankets back you can't have them I never asked to have them gave him the 3 I had used and he left SO RUDE I AM APPALLED AND WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN AND WILL TELL FRIENDS FAMILY WHOEVER I CAN TELL TERRIBLE

Have service people who wear their pants around their waist and not below their butt cheeks. Also telling the customer it is customary to pay them an extra $20 to connect the car on the dolly would be good. Lastly, the people who work there should know how to install the equipment properly.

Doors were locked when we arrived. Called uhaul number on door and they walked me through self check. Then employee unlocked door and came out..he had obviously been asleep. He was rude and 3 other people left because none was there to help and now I have been charged for gas that I DO NOT OWE. I LEFT UNIT ON 7/8 GAS POOR SERVICE ALL THE WAY AROUND!

This location always has the equipment needed whether trucks or trailers. Unfortunately it is almost 45 minutes to this location. I pass no less than 8 location. That have no trailers available. This happens frequently and I don't understand why only one location has everything?

Being the truck was clean upon return during after hours only having sand from your feet from the morning dew on the driver side only they should be more lenient on cleaning fee when it wasn't a detail cleaning needed. Just sand from the driver feet from morning dew a minor sweep of that was all needed upon them receiving the truck back nothing in depth.

I loved everything about the experience of moving my precious items across state in the U-Box. The service was good from the New York location all the way to the Ocala location. What I was disappointed the most about was that I paid for a full month of storage and I only used it for a total of 7 days and I was not able to get a dime back for the 22 days I didn't use or need. I know this is a policy U-Haul has that once you pay for your month of storage that you can't get anything back but I think it would be nice to give a prorated amount back that's not used. Especially for someone like myself who is on disabled income. Other than that a wonderful experience Thanks U-Haul.

There was no lock in my unit when I arrived so I called to inform them but the facility was closed so the person I spoke to said she would let management know...the next morning someone called me and apologized for the inconvenience and offered to either give me a free month of rent or provide a lock to compensate me

I had damage in my unit and didn't realize it until I was moving my stuff out. I did not take my damaged furniture out of the unit. I told the office when I left that I was not removing the damaged items. I left the items for proof of damage .It was not my responsibility for removing items damaged at their facility. They continued to harass me for payment, threatening me even though I continued to call them wanting to speak to Brandon. He was NEvER available and did not return my calls. I acted on good faith and was disappointed in the treatment I received! I called Uhaul and complained about what was happening. I received zero help and never received call backs from them either!

No one Ever answers the phone. The manager never calls back nor does he even reply to emails sent. We are going through hardship due to my husband having a bad accident at work and we asked to allow us to pay weekly which it was explained to us that only the manager can allow payments but the manager never got back to us not by phone or email. Staff members sit in the office at times on their phones and the office phone would be ringing off the hook and they don't make the slightest effort to answer it. We rented for a year and not even once did they answer the phone even though I called for days, weeks and months and had to be transferred to their answering service. We will never use this Uhaul location again and we will let everyone know about their horrible service and experience.

We have rented a covered 50' storage unit for the last 5+ years at this facility for our rather expensive motorhome. Prior to the current Manager/Owner, Brandon, the facility was kept in good condition and management was responsive to tenant's concerns. Since this new management took over the outside gravel storage area's condition has deteriorated with water & mud filled potholes prevalent all over the grounds and especially where our MH is stored. Using our space has created deep, water & mud filled ruts where the gravel has been compacted and all around our MH and throughout the covered areas there is slime and algae that is dangerously slippery and keeps our camper and tires filthy as well as being a health/safety hazard. A good amount of the time the gates are broken or not locked at night, so the area is not secure 24hrs. I have several times requested, both in person to Brandon and his staff as well as via email to him for more gravel & algae/weed control for our space to remedy some of these safety and performance issues and have been completely ignored or told that he would "look into it". During one of my discussions with him, while some new gravel was being put in the general driving areas several months ago, he informed me that he would "check with Corporate" to see if they'd buy some; there's been no response or action on that request either! Over the last couple of years the rent has gone up while the condition and management of this facility has gone down. YES, this is the most reasonable cost for a covered boat and motorhome/camper storage facility in the area BUT it is the worst condition facility of this type I've seen in the area with the most unresponsive management I've found and highly recommend you not do business here until changes are made. We are glad to be gone and wish all the other tenants "good luck"!

From Stacy who arranged my reservations for a U-Haul storage unit, a truck, and movers called Who's Moving? the entire experience was fabulous! We arrived in the morning to pick up the 17' truck and rent the 10'x30' unit at a far lower price. I was pleasantly surprised to get the first month FREE! The gentleman who handled renting me the truck and storage unit was very helpful and explained the process efficiently. Who's Moving? Was also professional and did a great job loading and unloading the truck in 3 amazing hours including travel time! LaToya took care of the.logistics and Ronald and Devin were fantastic in loading, unloading, and taking care with my items. My experience with U-Haul was wonderful. I will highly recommend them to friends and relatives. I will make sure to post my pleasant U-Haul experience for my 3,700+ Facebook friends to view.

The main gate doesn't work more than half the time. There's huge uhaul trucks parked in very inconvenient spots making it difficult to maneuver the boat out. They finally put new gravel down but didn't fill in the huge holes with dirt first so they still flood and then the nasty chalky water splashes all over the boat. There's a homeless guy that definitely lives onsite in an old rv. Staff is seemingly useless and has no care for customer service. All these factors and the rate still increases every year. It is now not worth the cheaper price, which is why I've moved out.

It is impossible to reach anyone at this location. I have tried calling them directly at least 50 times over the last 5 months to discuss my monthly storage rental. You have to go through the main U-Haul number which means sitting on hold for at least 30 minutes each time. Once the unit was cleared and empty, they still charged my card for the next month. The only way it was reversed was by filing a dispute.. When we rented the unit in August we had to go to the office repeatedly because the door would not open correctly. I also used U-Haul in May from St. Augustine to Northport, AL. I returned the truck with the correct amount of fuel in Northport, AL, but they still charged me a gas fee. That took 2 months of my time to get straightened out. Try Penske.

Although i had auto pay selected, 2 months in a row I was charged a late fee! I let the 1st one slide but the 2nd one, I didn't and moved my stuff out of there! Mind you that I've only received 1 of these late charges! The gentleman that was there that I dealt with didn't act like he was to happy to deal with me at all, passing the buck off & told me that I would have to call in to get a refund when the people I called when I had been locked out said I would have to talk to the store manager. We were charged $154/monthly which was auto paid on Oct 13. We completely vacated on Oct 16, just 3 days after the bill date and Uhaul won't pro-rate. Poor business to encourage repeat business or referral business. We still have about two more containers worth of stuff we need to haul cross country which is double of what we paid for with you. We were expecting to establish a relationship with uhaul but the company clearly is not interested in future business.

I didn't leave because I was unhappy! In-fact I am now paying more than I should for a smaller storage space but it is a matter of location. This place is just down the street, whereas U-haul Ocala South was miles away. They were friendly, helpful and took great care of me! I would recommend that location to anyone. First issue, I was charged a late fee only 4 days after past due, not 5 days like the email says. Then only after ten days past the first late fee I was being charged a second late fee, not 15 days like the email says. No where does it say I would be charged twice within the first 15 days after past due. I would never recommend this storage unit to anyone, not unless I can get some of that refunded back to me.

Rv storage electric circuit breakers are some times not enough to handle amps when vehicles are plugged in. Also hard to talk to agent leave message takes along time to get response.

Great staff and plenty of potential but my covered site was basically like parking in a pond. Major water problems which caused problems in my RV. Much much dirtier covered parking than I have used in the past. Some grading needs to happen to prevent the standing water and mold.

A bit expensive

For those of us who work long hours in a day, our ability to get to our storage unit sometimes extends in to the evening. Having early evening restrictions allowing us to visit our storage unit was aggravating. 7:00 pm closures was the norm for the longest period of time. Only this past week did I learn from an employee that the hours were extended until 10:00 pm. I was never told that the hours had changed from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The ironic part, I was vacating my unit this week when I learned of this. On the evening of the 15 of September I stopped at the office to let someone know that my storage unit was vacated and cleaned. There was a sign on the door that who ever was on duty was helping someone out on the grounds and a phone number was given to call. I called that phone number and I got what I call the U-Haul National desk. It took for ever for someone to finally help me, only to disconnect my call before I could tell them why I was calling. Again, another 15 to 20 minutes of waiting for the U-Haul National desk. Now I know the number that was printed on the door sign on the evening of the 15th is the number for that specific U-Haul location at 5555 S. Pine Ave Ocala, Florida as I have had that number logged in to my phone contacts since September 16th 2012. When I dial that number I specifically want to talk to that location and "Not" U-Haul National. I want a brief 30 second / 1:00 minute conversation instead of 20 minutes on hold only to be disconnected. I have tried to call that same number numerous times each day now since the night of the 15th and nobody ever answers the phone at that location. I keep getting U - Haul National. One final thought - Please mention to someone to look in to changing the recorded message for U-Haul National. It's annoying! Nobody wishes to hear, Thank you for calling U-Haul, Thank you for calling U-Haul, Thank you for calling U-Haul repetitively. Thank you, Bob Myers Unit 126

my previous trailer rentals and Checking in went fine. The day before my check out. I went into the office and explain to them that I need a trailer to rent and will be leaving their facility the next day. The gentleman working the desk looked up my account, help me with the reservations of the trailer I needed and told me it would be no problem leaving the next day to make sure I have a staff member check the unit to verify it is cleaned out when I am done before I leave. The following day around 3:00 I cleaned out the storage unit and rented a trailer from them. the lady who checked me out told me that I owe for one more month because I should have cleared out the day before. I explained to her I was in the day before and the man at the desk told me it would be no problem she informed me that I owe the money and that there's nothing she can do about it and didn't really care. Then she helped me with finalizing the trailer rental and hooking it up. she must have a death wish or was poorly trained, because she tried to stand between my large truck and the trailer to back me up I asked her not to stand there and she gave me some feedback saying she had had to do it way,this is how she was trained. I told her that if my foot slipped off the brake or I accidentally hit the accelerator it would crush her and I am not backing up with her behind my truck. after further discussion I finally convinced her to move out from behind my truck. Then I had a disconnect her trailer because she didn't give me time to lubricate the ball on my hitch. After everything was hooked up I checked the tire pressure on the trailer tires. They were all low the pressure was below 50 lb on each tire with a rating of 65 lb cold tire pressure. when I brought this to her attention she told me that there was an air station inside their fence and that I can fill it up myself. I understand it's not her job to get the trailers rent ready and then if they're indicated rent ready she would expect them to be. But once a defect is found I would expect her to help fix it. Or rent me a different trailer. Not a good overall experience.

Kim was wonderful - exceptionally helpful and went out of her way to accommodate and the location is fairly convenient. Aside from that - the facility is pretty disappointing. We move around quite a bit due to our work and have had storage units at different locations all up and down the coast and the unit we have at this location is without a doubt the worst we've ever had. The inside of the unit is old, run down with graffiti on the walls, the concrete is cracked, the steel girders have completely oxidized and there is actually a "RAT POISON" trap in the unit. I was so disappointed upon opening the door to the unit that had we not been moving for three days I would have left and found somewhere else to go.

I only experienced an issue on the date I wanted to close out the unit. For over a hour and a half, no one was available in the office. When I went online to check out, I had to drive 30 minutes back to the unit to take pictures for posting. I wasn't happy with that issue.

Always felt comfortable leaving my RV at this uhall location. Friendly staff, on site security and very fair pricing for my covered lot. I highly recommend this uhaul location.

I travel a lot. My family and I have used uhaul for over 20 years. This will be the last time I ever use them again!! They have really lost it. Phone answering service sucks!! Among other things that I am so ✅ done. Uhaul please don't reply to me I don't want to hear it nor can I improve how you guys do business. NEVER AGAIN NOT EVEN IF MY NEXT MOVE WAS FREE!! Keep it never means NEVER!!

I love this place used them before, however the ceiling are peeling and stuff was dropping on my furniture. Need to fix the ceiling in the storage

Overall things were very good. Management was professional but difficult to access or get call backs at times. However, when I was able to reach her she was easy to work with. The facilities were clean, but may be in need of some grading due to wash out from heavy rain. Lastly, the bay I rented was supposed to have electricity. The main breakers and/or gfi outlet was often tripped and not working and they put out locked timer boxes (I was told they were only on 3 hours per day). I only needed electricity to keep my RV batteries charged but 3 hours is not enough time. The low voltage alarm was alway ls in my RV so helpfully they can add more time to the timers. Otherwise, fair prices and a good experience. I will definitely rent there again if I have storage needs.

They were very helpful they explained in detail I had this storage unit order on the mobile app and U-Haul truck in the morning Wayne got it Aon then they were what do you all truck the lady little down there and she said you pay a deposit and I want to return to that afternoon there's a gentleman in there that you can paint on the visor so I was confused that was it thank you very much at bless you and have a good day and your family.

When the attendant is out on property no one answers the phone, then is past to your operator, is another wait time, this situation happen several times

We reserved a 28 ft truck but only got a 20, so we had to leave possessions behind. The tow dolly had no tail lights or break lights, Truck had no working dash lights so couldn't travel after dark.

only issue was the week before we needed the RV space i went to the location to reserve a particular spot which was color coded on the map given to me ...but it was not in fact reserved

Have been renting at this facility for about 3 years and have had several issues. Most recently saying we haven't paid for parking which we have had sense day one.

Too busy for the two people working there. The storage usage was fine. Renting a Uhaul to move out is when I had issues. I do not think it is a reflection on this store, more corporate Uhaul system.

Uhaul should not sell insurance it is worthless. I had furniture damaged due to movers in NC and the insurance I was talked into purchasing was useless because it didn't cover my damages.

I was never in the facility. My uhaul (4) boxes came from there to Spring Hill Fl. The driver, Alissa, was great. Very accommodating. She made sure I had easy access to them. Loved her attitude

Location in Lady Lake was a bit old and used. Service was excellent! U Box delivered when scheduled. Delivery was prompt. Box was great. Driver was excellent. Pick up was on time.

The staff and GM are liars.make sure any notes that they put on your account it correct. Take names ask for copies. Units has rats and roaches. Gate access not always working. Was a custom four years.

My experience with the U-Haul in N Smithfield RI was great. They were reliable and efficient. They made sure I was refunded for shipping delays and the Ocala uhaul on Pine ave was great also.

Tracy and Curtis were always on their game. 1st class all the way. From the time we moved in until we left always the best. And the way they handled the facility after hurricane IRMA was 2nd to none.
