i came to this location to rent a storage unit and the gentleman who helped me (Bob), was rolling his eyes and making me feel extremely uncomfortable by his attitude.

The person at the check-out counter was unable to answer any of my questions, so they continuously referred to another individual present who would just point at signs to answer money related questions. Both were friendly enough. I was not given any instruction about checking in and checking out my vehicle. The vehicle reaked of smoke and had broken glass in the back.

I leave this for the comments, because the staff and facility were top notch. I had rented before , for my Aunt and when we moved out it was with several days on the unit that were already paid for, and they would not pro rate, and give me a refund for what days were paid for and didn't need or use when I closed the account. So this time I used it clear up to the date. I'm sure this is a corporate policy, but one that might be told to people up front.

One of the garage doors remained open because it was broken and any one can jus lt walk in and have access to the storage units. That needs to be corrected immediately.

I did pay for climate controlled. Although I had items I was not keeping they had water damaged and some of my pillows that were not in bags had mold on them. Had storage for over a year and only checked on it once from out of state.

I have rented from here multiple times, and always a great experience. If this was my first time renting from this place I wouldn't come back. The rep put almost no effort in the process. He try charging me for insurance that I declined on the webform. When he connected the trailer, he left the chains and the wiring so they were touching the ground. He also said he couldn't find the wiring coupler even though he connected the chains right on top of the wiring. I had to redo the chains and the wiring because he couldn't be bothered to do a decent job of attaching it. He also didn't verify if my taillights were working, nor did he connect the rubber pieces that help make sure the hooks from the chain don't accidentally pop off my hitch. So I had to fix the chains the wiring and validate the taillights were working. I also had to double check he connected it to my hitch correctly because I couldn't trust anything he did.

Amy helped me get what I needed and was super helpful. She walked me through the entire process. I normally do not take insurance but she took the time to explain why it might be important so I added it. She also explained the refilling the truck with gas protocol which was nice. When I returned the truck Paul made it simple and easy!

I called six different times to see if any spaces available and they told me that I was number one on the waiting list but yet when I called yesterday they told me that yes there was a space available and that they had no intention of ever calling me to let me know it was up to me to continue to call And check to see if a space was available. I'm not sure where the miscommunication was at but the manager the facility told me that if a space opened up for my motorhome, they would be the first one on the waiting list and that they would get in touch with me, but that didn't happen , somehow they dropped the ball like they would be a little more professional when I was there there was about three people standing around doing nothing so you would've thought that they would've had plenty of time to follow up with a phone called me letting me know there was a space for my motorhome available

Worst truck I've ever been in, borderline dangerous to drive. Truck showed over 170k Miles and it's been driven hard for evey one of them. I don't expect these to be perfect but this was way past time to retire that truck.

Van was dirty. Then upon return no one was there to check me out they said they would email the final bill. Picked up at 7/9 of a tank and returned 7/9 of a tank. Was charged $25 in fuel. I went 17 miles even if I didn't refuel saying it was returned at 5/9bof a tank is appalling and the person should be fired. It's fraud and you shouldn't blindly charge people without using common sense.

I liked the convenience of being able to get in at later times. The doors to the parking bars were always broken, the main sliding door was left wide open a lot of times. When I went to move my things out, the main sliding door was broken and I had to use the side door. I tried to park as close to the door as possible so I wouldn't have to lift the heavier items too far. The door to my hatch got hit by the side door and the paint is now chipped off. I'm highly irritated that I have to get that fixed because of the inconvenience.

We almost didn't even have to get out of the car. An attendent met us at our car checked us in and in 10 minutes we were on our way. Great service!!

I would not recommend this location to anybody I like. I already have my items in the unit and don't want to move out do to the weather. I did return the keys in hand to the supervisor Zach at about 9:20ish,the truck was due back at 9:00am. I did have to go to work so my guys unloaded the truck. Zach did do a walk around and checked the truck in. Zach charged my Amex $79,75 on 12/8/23. Then charged my Amex $66,3 again on 12/11/2023 for an additional insurance, appliance dolly and rental for an entire day. Also the truck I rented had the "check engine light" on. Not a happy customer.

Id highly recommend lower pricing, as the unit I was given, wasn't that big. However, I do believe storage tenants should be able to access the unit so long as they know the pin to get in, 24 hours, as some folks such as myself, work thirds, so I am a night owl, and do most of my work through the evening times. During the day about 96 % of that time, I'm sleeping, as I stated, I work thirds. I feel the storage is amazing, however..... The uhaul trucks, and tow dollies, and car ports all need a major upgrade. They're so outdated, and lots of things messed up on them.

This facility felt more unorganized than most, not knowing which units were leased or not leased. I was assigned one unit when signing the contract, only to find out when we went to visit the unit that it was already occupied, so had to do a different contract for a new unit. They locked out access to our unit for no reason due to internal confusion/communication issues, not sure if we were still using the unit (despite the fact our lock was on it and we were still paying for it) I was sold a combination rotary word lock at their counter and then 2 months later received a call informing me that we can't use it on our unit and needed a keyed lock. When running a storage unit business, the bare minimum should be to know what units are rented and what units are available. It just felt like this was a consistent question/problem for the staff here. Management was very good about making things right with us when there was an issue, so It wasn't a problem, just more of a nagging inconvenience to deal with. We exited our relationship because we no longer had a need to store items in Bloomington. Would have stayed otherwise.

Was not happy there was a pole in the unit that I rented which took up space where my furniture could have gone. I requested a different one with no pole and nothing was available.. I feel I should have been made aware of that and feel U-Haul should adjust the rental fee for renting a unit with a pole right in the middle taking up space that I could have utilized!! Thank you!

I don't know how long it takes for the money to be refunded to me after the balance is looked at because I brought the car that U-Haul back with the amount of gas I was supposed to and also in a good condition and I didn't go anywhere but to my house on Monroe Street and back to the U-Haul place so I barely went 5 miles so when will I get my extra money back please let me know thank you and the service representative that helped me up forget her name she was very kind to me all day and very patient and I really like her

Everything was fine with the truck, no issues picking it up. However, we noticed that the side mirror of the truck, on the right side kept adjusting on its on. Making it harder to see on the right side of the vehicle.

The young African-American lady at the counter was absolutely excellent. I said I wasn't going to forget her name, but I did she was wonderful the other gentleman they were African-American to showed me to my storage. They were excellent. I feel like they could be more of a people person. I was rudely told I had to get my lock off storage unit before I turned in everything to be done with the unit and she then locked me out and I could not access my unit to get lock off. Then I tried calling I was on hold for a while twice while standing outside the building and I tried the intercom and no one would respond I don't know what I did but the manager or whoever was rude and disrespectful!! Before her when I got the unit I had no problems but after it was rudeness

Very helpful staff. I had to change storage units multiple times as I selected previous units that were too small. And during our move in; we could not unload the entire truck at midnight and had to leave it loaded in their parking lot. There are cameras everywhere protecting this facility and I knew my items would be safe; in which they were. I currently have a long term climate controlled unit for items that cannot withstand outdoor storage sheds with no heat or a/c. Thank you U-Haul!

When I first moved into the unit, the facility smelled clean and customer service was what one would expect. Over the past few years, the facility has become stinky and if you call for service, you get put on hold, with no one returning, much of the time. On more than one occasion, I was charged late fees, after updating my auto payment. Even with someone entering it at the counter, it was not saved and a late fee would be charged again.

Team was and is very friendly and kind. Store lobby and storage facility is always clean and my calls are always answered. I recommend this location to humans any time they need a truck rental for long or short periods of time, a trailer, storage and supplies. Really great staff. Only thing i would change is where the truck and trailer rentals are in the parking lot. They are parked where they block easy access to the entrance and its very difficult to get atound them to unload my things. Theres plenty of space towards the Dairy Queen side of the lot which would open up the front of the facility for easier access plus then possible new customers from the road can see it too. The trucks and trailers are blocking alot. Bit otherwise i couldnt be happier.

Ty and the entire group of associates were excellent! They work hard to provide customer satisfaction. They just go above and beyond to help their customers. We were short some movers and a couple guys really helped us out on a heavy piece. They helped make a moving day into a good memory. Our months of using the storage facility between moves was an excellent experience.

Very happy with storing our RV in outdoor secure lot. Only complaint about outdoor storage was the amount of nails, screws, garbage etc scattered about. Many times had to get out of vehicle and remove items out of roadway to keep from causing damage to vehicles tires. Other than that the employees were great and overall all storage experience was a positive!

Everything was good with the exception of the one of the storage units (Unit 2398). Damaging about 90 pieces of clothing. The facility I used was located at 1710 Dunn Dr Bloomington Illinois.

Only issue was with the lock. I had same style lock as they "required" except mine had a number combination instead of a key. Was initially told that mine was fine to use but when I came back they had placed a lock on it and said that I couldn't have an alphabet lock and I would have to purchase their key lock. I think that the number lock is more secure than a key one. Anyways, seems like it's a way to make extra money when it's not necessary.

Staff was very professional. We ended up having to rent more storage than we thought. A little snag with getting all 4 units on auto bill. Upon calling this problem was resolved and late charges returned. Make sure they have your contact information! They will e mail you with things (like nonpayment) and you can call and get it fixed. Clean, well lit and easy unload and load. Carts are provided. We moved out of state so we won't be back. Definite recommend!

Never got my free month although I inform Tyler Scott about my issue and various emails going back and forth he never did issue my free month I still had to pay it they just didn’t care especially him I feel like they know kids from college store there stuff there and since they are to far away to come back and discuss the problem they at U-Haul don’t care to fix it so no I won’t be going there again they don’t honor the commitment they have and that’s is bad business I will be writing to better business bureau and contacting a hire up person in charge

The only issue we had was water leaked into our storage unit from the ceiling. The staff felt that there was a leak in the sprinkler system. It ruined our pool table, and we have filed a claim. Not sure if we will get estimated value or replace value for the pool table. We have had this unit for about 27 months which means we've spent over $5000 to store our stuff in there. Considering the amount of money we spent to store our stuff in that unit, I am hoping that the claim process will be easy and we will be satisfied with the amount that we receive.

I would have given this location 5 stars but my access code is not recognized and the alarm sounds every time I open my storage unit. Really sad that I have to cover my ears and wait and then get looked at by other patrons like I did something wrong. This is the 2nd day for this problem and I believe it should have been fixed by now.

My only issue is that the storage units are not properly advertised. We have reserved 3 20 foot units online. (We were given 6 10 foot units.) We have never been able to rent one of the 20 foot units because none were available. There is a big disconnect between the online reservations and the actual inventory.

While the halls are normally well lit, there are no lights in the actual units and the light in front of mine was often burned out. The check in process to make sure the alarm does not go off was not ever explained to me by an employee. The first month I set it off several times and had to have an employee shut it off each time. Never during those times did anyone show me how to correctly gain access. Another customer showed me that I had to go to the right kiosk and put my information in then repeat it again at the left kiosk. As for the staff, generally they were friendly and helpful but my very first encounter was when I first got there, after purchasing the unit online, was with a manager. Halfway through checking me in he left the office and jumped into a truck and left. After waiting for 10 or so minutes I realized that I was the only person there. I called the phone and the phone on the counter in front of me rang without anyone coming to get it. Eventually I went behind the counter and poked my head into the office to the right and it was empty, then I went to the door on the right that leads to a garage of sorts. It was also empty. Eventually I left and found a young kid in the parking lot with a uhaul shirt. He told me that he was busy. I told him what had happened, 20 minutes earlier at that point and forcefully told him that I needed to get into my unit and that my truck had to be returned very soon. He did then follow me inside and realized that the manager had left and apologized. Then he took me to the unit, without finishing my paperwork or showing me how to get in. He set of the alarm whilst showing me the unit. Some time later I realized that I had absolutely no paperwork or receipt for the unit so I did have to go to the office again and had to go through all the info, at which point I did finally sign some things and get a copy. I also repeatedly told them that my name is Lara Ward. As you can see by my receipt that they still have my name as "Laura". So all in all not a terrible experience, but not professional. My stuff stayed dry and clean, but the price was on the high end. Also sanitizer would be good to provide near the doors to the units, not just the office.

This Uhaul location is top notch. They have the best staff who always give the best customer service, are always friendly and kind, and respectful. The building always smelled clean. However, there always seemed to be troubles with the computers which took longer than it should when checking in and out for actual uhaul rental.

We didn't sign a contract for a storage unit probably because it was so chaotic the day we were there....yet we were obligated to abide by it! Their mistake us $110!

Very unprofessional tried to bill me 2 months after I moved out of my storage. Storage paid up for the month left 3 weeks early still tried to charge me next month's rent and interest. Do not use.

I rented an rv spot. Using the online checkout I started the process. Having not heard from anyone to finish the agreement after multiple tries, uhaul made it right by providing first month free.
