The unit should never have been rented out with a broken roll up door. Can't use it without bringing someone else to hold the door open. I total waste of time. Move in date was feb 29 and was told by the manager today that the door could be replaced tomorrow.

Hello Overall a really good experience. However, I paid for 2 temperature controlled units realizing just recently that the hallways were heated and I believe cooled but the storage unit itself was not. That would've made a big difference in what units and facility I chose.

The door on the storage until was hard to open and would get stuck at the top, which mad it hard to close. The light in the unit did not work. Staff were helpful. some maintenance on that unit is required. Overall satisfied with my experience.

If prices were lower, I would have kept them longer until I was ready to place them when my daughter finishes university. Instead, I had to sell and store at various family homes. I know your prices are comparable with the other storage places but they are all to high to be practical

I can't believe how your prices have gone up, it's like booking a plane flight. How can a $20 a day van go over $117 for an hour and a half; and around 60 kilometres?? Plus I had to pay for the gas, which was another $35 on top of that, (I know that's not your problem - but still out of my pocket). Then given no strapping - which I then had to purchase too (on sale at $18). I would expect that when renting a moving truck, that some basic neccessities would be provided with it - for example a few blankets; a dolly; and some strapping too. I Paid an exorbatant fee on the insurance; (which I believe should be reimbursed if the vehicle is returned unscathed). Looking to nickel-and-dime; and squeeze whatever more pennies that you can squeeze out. I would have put a few bucks into your charity offer/request if I never had to pay out so much to you. I know that I was gouged because you guys have had bad experiences in the past - but I don't know why I should be punished for that. Whatever happened to "innocent until proven guilty". One last thing - I last used you guys around 9 years ago - WHY DO YOU STILL HAVE MY HISTORY AND PERSONAL DETAILS????!!!! I take my privacy deadly seriously and don't see why a vehicle rental company needs to keep a record of my Driver's License; name; address; email; phone number; etc. You are not the cops or the government!! Probably not gonna use you guys ever again - so PLEASE DELETE ME FROM YOUR SYSTEM!! Bye the way - ABBY L was really good and proffessional at her job though. Cheers

Compared to the competition for clean units, our unit 100 had tons of spiderwebs on the door inside and all along the bottom. I've had storage units for vehicles and household items at the other uhaul and the competition where they swept daily throughout the yard and picked up garbage and pulled the weeds so everything didn't look old and well used. And the dust from the construction is ridiculous. Why don't you have a water truck on site. Esp when it's extra windy. And what is with the last unit is anyone's game even if you reserve it??? Whats the point of a registration??? It's not even fair to subject your employees to shocked and highly annoyed customers when they have trucks and trailers already rented from you, and suddenly nowhere to put their things because they had to go with their schedule for work etc. Something known about for weeks. Maybe a way of your company collecting on truck and trailer rentals for an extra day or two. Definitely not cool and I'd never recommend anyone for that reason alone. Can't be too legal either.

My only complaint was that one of our two doors was never fixed. Therefore we could not use it because it would fall out of the track. We were promised a few times that repairs would be done but it never happened. The last time I asked I gave them my key only to find out that there had to be 4 or 6 feet cleared from the door in order to have it repaired so that it was usable. We had no where to put the items so that they could fix it. That's why we got a storage unit in the first place because we had no where to put them. When we finally emptied our unit after all this time we couldn't open the door at the other end because we knew the door would come out of the track again and would be dangerous and come out of the track. So it was difficult to empty it the way that we wanted to because we could only work from one end. We rented this unit for many years. I guess it would have been nice if the staff or owner would have moved out the things that were in the way of them fixing the door since it wasn't our fault that the door was broken and we did not have full access to the storage unit that we were paying for. That was never offered to us. Disappointing.

We reserved the truck and it was ready. Attendant was very efficient. When we returned the truck the same day, they promptly checked it over and we knew the cost of renting the truck. It was a great experience as it was our 1st time renting from this location.

Nothing to do with you specifically, but the way the after hours check out for the vans work is very annoying. Website crashed twice while I was taking pictures. And wouldn't let me take photos which forced me to start over again. Overall disliked the website. The store and employees were fantastic

I paid my bill including "bumper damage". Arent bumpers kindna made to be… you know …bumped Im not sure i was responsible enough for it.. The rep on phone told me i was fee and clearr once amiunt over deductdible. 3 weeks later i get sn invoice 550 mlre with no xlear indication what its fir And my only recourse is entering a dispute Process because no human being employed at uhaul can simply look at the email and explain to me what is about.

I did not appreciate a second lock being placed without notice. Had I gotten there after office hours I would not have been able to get what I needed. I did not appreciate a 25 - 30 % price increase in less than 2 years.

Comparing other UHAUL locations, this location has quickest check-in and check-out time and the staff are very friendly. Just a suggestion to owner, please keep spare keys of all trucks in store, in case someone luck out has not have to go over the lock smith or other costly procedures… will definitely recommend this branch

Everything would have been great until the 2 staff members that took care of my moving out , i had mentioned that the payment for the next month had been automatically withdrawn from my bank account and they mentioned that the had to check the locker and would be right back. The worker went checked and came back, closes out my rentel and gave me a receipt. I asked about my refund and they told me that if i would have mentioned it before they closed the account they would have been able to reverse charges but since they had already closed it i couldn't get a refund and would have to wait until monday to speak to the manager. Hopefully we can resolve this asap.

Issue: 1) The first day of check in was not great. Looks like the system was glitching( according to the service rep) and had to wait a very long time to check in. Also never received the actual storage space Size after booking it and getting it confirmed online. When asked the service rep he had no proper answer to that on why it happened. Had to pay extra and get another space which wasn't great. After that lengthy time consuming process, to my surprise he provided me a room , upon check in and whe going to open after all that hassle figured out it was occupied by someone else with a lien tag on it for non payment. Then I had to go back to him and he later switched me to another unit that was empty. Overall a very negative check in experience with multiple error for check- in, but the service rep tried his best and I understand the limitation from his end if his system didn't co-operate. 2) The unit never had a proper working light in it. Pro: 1) Check out process was simple and easy. 2) Location and storage access was convenient

When I first picked up the truck there were no issues. I went back later that day to hook up a tow dolly to the truck and was not informed to configure my car in any way. I drive a standard so I automatically put on the park brake. Not thinking and not being told otherwise, I tried to drive away and entered a busy Walker Rd. only to hear my tires screeching and had to stop and run back to remove the parking brake. Lots of traffic coming my way and blocking half of the road it wasn't a great position to be in.

two comments the team there is friendly etc but there was supposed ot be a lock in my unit when i arrive, there was not so I had to walk back to office and wait in line to get one. Also I'm not sure what cleaned is but there were lots of dust and spider webs in the unit along edges/corners. Just looked like they did a quick clean and sweep out, not super clean. The location is fine and staff good just have never stored anything before and thought it would be as sooth as the on-line processes have been.

Our storage unit door needed some repair. Though still operable, it was difficult to open and close. Though the staff were helpful and friendly, on two occasions requests were not carried out the first time. An old lock from the previous owner had to be removed and it took a few requests to have it removed. Also, when we were finished with the unit, we informed the attendant who neglected to enter the information in the computer. Hence we recieved a payment request a few days later which required me to follow up on.

I found the staff unprofessional and rude. I gave them information about the movers that were coming to clear out my storage and they failed to write it down and delayed the movers. It was difficult to gain access to my inside storage as the automatic card reader was broken and you had to call and get staff to open it.

Was rented out a unit with a non operating door - door was to be repaired and I was to be contacted when completed - I called a week later and I had to leave a message because it wasn't apparent that the door was repaired - the following weekend I was contacted to be advised that I could move into another unit (not an end unit which I requested) I advised I would wait for another end unit to become available, as the one I had been booked under was rented to someone else now, I was then notified my monthly payment was coming due - I canceled. Not even moved in, a disorganized booking- repair set up, yet very punctual in looking for a payment -

Not only did I have a ton of billing issues, when their lock seized I had to figure it out myself but don't dare damage their door... then I get my lock off and empty my unit dropped 3 boxes in their already messy garbage area and I get charged 50.00. I get the bill it says it is for storage not trash removal so pretty sure employees pocketed that money... overall terrible experience. Especially when you pay a arm and a leg for storage.

Staff are rather rude. That alone is enough to make me choose a different storage location. Abrasive at each visit and and phone interaction. Staff ALWAYS hanging on the golf cart and watching you instead of being available inside. The new hires are great but the girl (I believe manager) that's always been there is the worst. Over all unfriendly environment.

This storage facility was really good at first, but then I could not get into the building where the storage locker was. My code was cancelled and despite many new cards, I had to call someone and wait for them to unlock the building. This went on for weeks until I was done and it was still not fixed. Other than that everything was great.

Christine was very unprofessional and does not know how to talk to customers. Very disrespectful and arrogant behavior. All I wanted from her was, to ask the manager to call me back... And I wanted explain my situation- Christine was not ready to listen... she said if i don't like the service I go to another storage center after I paid for the service.. Still waiting for a call from the general manager. The unit was disgustingly dirty. My mattress was ruined as it had mold. The mattress and box spring were both wrapped in plastic and sealed to prevent this from happening. Furniture was ruined because of the layers of grime and dust. Not very happy

Staff are courteous however I was very disappointed with hygiene practices on site. None of the staff, including manager, wore PPE. This situation is not unique to the South Walker Rd location - I have been extremely disappointed with the Dougall Rd location. Yesterday, only one staff person at Dougall wore a mask - a young male. Neither Sammy or his young female staff wore masks for which I was very vocal about. I praised the young male for doing his part but the rest of the staff's negligence is inexcusable and potentially very dangerous. Today I returned to the Dougall location to find all without masks and told Sammy that I would report his location if he failed again. The Pandemic is not a joke. The Windsor/Essex County area has the highest per capita Covid infectious rate in the province of Ontario. A plexiglass barrier does not replace a mask especially in a city that mandates all to wear a mask. As an excuse, the young female defended her actions stating "I always wear a mask..." for which I stopped her from finishing because her current work hygiene exempts her from wearing A mask. I reminded Sammy that his door has a sign stating that all who enter must wear a mask - how does this not apply to them?

Paid for the storage monthly in advance. Moved out of storage 3 weeks earlier. Was told I cannot get any money back. If i had known i would have left my lock on an empty storage unit. GRRRR!!!!

The reason being that the doors must have a large gap that lets in dirt. All our stuff was absolutely totalled off with layers of dirt :(

This was my first experience with any U-Haul service and it was great. The facilities and services are well kept and super useful but the customer service is exceptional, especially from the GM, Chet.

You have a customer service number that no one answers (I called around 8pm on a Saturday) while on hold there is no mention of hours or how long the wait is. I wanted to add 24 hour access by phone.
