Absolutely nothing! So much better then the Lemon Grove site. That site is a nightmare. I was so impress with the overall experience. It was unbelievable. I must admit I had prepared myself for drama (based on my last experience) but the service was absolutely superb.

I have not used the facility during the access hours yet except to purchase my unit and van.So the answer to that question I had to say yes. and I'm not quite sure if I have access 24/7 or just during working hours. But I will find out soon. Also, I feel the pricing for the facility is a bit high but it's convenient and not far which makes it easier.

Extremely limited parking, but other than that, this location is good. The app is absolutely useless - could not complete the check-in process through the app or the website. Luckily, the office staff were available to perform the check-in. Four other people were waiting for check-in because of various problems with the app (couldn't verify location even though location sharing permissions were correct, couldn't scan ID, email and/or phone number were "already in use", etc.). Luckily my reservation was during operating hours. I definitely wouldn't trust the app to work for an after hours rental.

The manager at this U-Haul storage is amazing! He is always friendly, and greets his guest with open arms. He is a professional and he will provide you with all the help you need. There is no improvement in my eyes. The experience from U-hual compared to where I was going to end my contract with public storage was the difference between night and day. I wish I would have known more about your storing facility and also before I paid others to move me. Lastly I want to say that the workers that worked on Saturday morning and afternoon are definitely above average deserve raises and will always receive my praise for the way that I was treated and their professionalism

Rented for pickup at 6PM sat to 5PM sun. When I picked up I was asked did I need it until 5PM. I said most likely not I should be done around 10-11AM. That was the end of the conversation. Apparently they then changed my return to 10 and rented the truck out to someone else. So while on my way at 1045 to return I get a phone call with the rep yelling at me that the return is late. I explained what happened and she said that's why we ask when do you plain to return. I said why didn't anyone notify me that you were then changing the reservation and it needed to be back earlier. In that case I would have kept a later return time. She didn't want to reason with me and continued saying there was a customer waiting and I needed to get it back asap. Additionally the tire pressure monitor was broken so it was showing on the dash as was the tighten gas cap sensor. Vehicle reeked like smoke and perfume to cover up smoke.

The customer parking is extremely less than favorable. Very minimal right at the gate and very small to even park a small sedan.

I was gaslit about the damn lock code lol. Honestly! I spent 15 minutes attempting to get the word combo lock to work and when I finally got into the office to ask for help, the employee came out and unlocked it INSTANTLY. I KNOW the combo i had was supposed to be right according to the site and this mofo had the AUDACITY to roll up and unlock it and LEAVE WITH THE LOCK lmao. These fools think idk that they provide a different lock code to corporate...but then why did they TAKE THE LOCK LMAO, without letting me see it. Yalls employees are hilarious and awesome, the check out and check in procedures with them were great. BTW though, this location has the stupidest fuckin setup for the office I have ever seen. There is not a single way to get to the leasing office without already having a lease. It is completely locked behing the pass code entry required gate.

I paid $70 total for a cargo van advertised at less than 20. I drove 12 miles, returned on time, and explained that I didn't think the gas meter was correct because over $20 barely moved the dial enough to pass half. Will not utilize this again

when i made reservation and pick-up the van it was 49cents per mile and when i returned the van i was charged 79cents per mile.I just went to la jolla and come back to spring valley and i used 60 plus miles already.

My only concern is that me and the helpers that I had on July 29th was that the forklift did not work and we had to manually move all of that heavy furniture down the steps that could have cost us injury we were told that we had to put the property back and I needed to move it that day that was my first concern my second concern what's that I have been many that spot for a little over a year and you guys went up on the price twice my thing is if you rent in my mind if you want to keep a customer you don't want to raise the rent because you can lose customers but overall the place is clean quiet and I didn't have to worry about no one stealing my merchandise and yes I would recommend but make sure equipment is ready and working for customers

The on-line check in, was not smooth. I uploaded front & back of drivers license then it asked for a passport picture. Kept asking for verifications, a representative called & asked for more verification and I declined. The manager commented that 3 others customers did not have a problem. Manager printed out contract 30 minutes later.

The instore experience was good. Both people that I interacted with were pleasant, and the man who was there when we picked up the truck was more than willing to help and he checked on us multiple times. The truck was also very clean and of good quality. The in app/online experience was less than stellar, however. I simply didn't want to create an account, but found that you have to do so now in order to rent, so I hadn't completed the "express check in" prior to arriving; I was booking during my own working hours and I figured it would be easier to check in at the counter. Instead, I spent 20 minutes standing in the store filling out forms that used to be handled by representatives. On top of that, since I was at the store and not at home, in order to verify my identity, I had to list two contacts (who were not also on the reservation) to verify I was who I said I was. When you're on the spot and people don't know to look out for a generic number calling them, this is a bit stressful, let alone when most people you know are in a different time zone than you. Given that to rent a car or to rent a vehicle from a Home Depot doesn't require this level of security, especially for trips only scheduled for a few hours, this level of effort placed on the customer to handle the entire reservation up front made for a subpar experience just to move some furniture.

Didn't receive a notice that my bill was due until it was past due and an overdue payment was charged to my account. A notice of payment would have been appreciated and would have saved me from late charges.

Michael was great to work with. Only issue is making sharp turn off busy road, and then large security gate. Could not get in and when I call number posted on gate it re-directs call to out of state customer service, and they can't help to open gate. I had to wait for someone to leave.

I do wish that we could have accessed our unit earlier than 7 am because there were several times that we had to wait around until 7 to get our belongings and then we had a two hour drive to our house. So it really set us back for the day. But other than that it's a great storage center.

This rating is specifically for the employee who helped us. She showed us to our unit, and helped us load with the forklift, twice. She worked the evening shift around 6 p.m. on 11/28 (apologies that I don't know her name!) and was so friendly that she made the stress of moving a little less. Thank you!!!

Telephoning the general U-Haul customer service 800# phone was A NIGHTMARE. Hours on hold and often disconnected, or no one answers the phone, requiring repeated callbacks multiple times. The chat: nobody ever answered the chat. The email: it took 2 weeks for general U-Haul customer service to respond to an email. When they responded it was completely inadequate.inadequate. The staff at the lemon Grove location are bumbling idiots, when we finally got through to them on the direct line they were so bad that we elected not to store anything at that location, or have any business with them at all. In contrast, Jamacha road/Spring valley location manager Michael and his assistant Francisco are very responsive and always answer the phone and respond to emails promptlywhen they can, much of the time.. All Spring Valley staff were very polite and attempted to be accommodating. However do not expect first class service from any U-Haul person. They do not comprehend the concept of first class. Be prepared to wait long periods of time for every little thing, U-Haul does not respect your time at all. In addition they repeatedly attempted to make charges on my credit card which were not authorized. Fortunately I have a credit card that I keep with a balance of $10 so that all such an authorized charges are refused. I recommend this to you, the general public, as well because apparently it is general policy at U-Haul to make unauthorized charges on your credit cards or debit cards. In the event you ever get through to the general U-Haul administrative customer service do not expect them to tell you the truth. What they tell you on the phone is NOT reflected accurately in the written statements. Be SURE to do a print-screen of anything that you see on your account web page, because they will arbitrarily increase or decrease amounts at any time (even retroactively changing quotes) including adding unauthorized charges, as well as undisclosed charges, without consulting you, the customer. Frankly I don't know how they stay in business with these fraudulent business practices. Again this is primarily a review of the general U-Haul company customer service not the Spring Valley location who made many efforts to be accommodating. If you are forced to use the U-Haul company I do recommend the Spring Valley location. However, if you can avoid U-Haul in any way shape or form, I would strongly suggest that you do your research and select a different, small storage company who has excellent reviews, unlike Uhaul. If you are absolutely forced to use a U-Haul location for any reason, this location was very clean, well lit, well run, and secure. That does not sufficiently balance out the horrible general U-Haul phone company administrative "customer service' at all.

This is a one stop shop storage for all my packing and storage needs. The lobby, restrooms and facility was exceptionally clean and organized. Staff members went above to accommodate my needs. I've used this storage facility for almost 2 years. The staff were always helpful and friendly. The storage unit was perfect in size and within my price range and served its purpose which was storing my father who recently passed aways belongings. I only moved out because I moved into a house where all his stuff could fit into our garage. A couple times my auto pay was rejected and I incurred late fees. But as soon as I paid the manager Michawould always waive the late fees. I recommend this storage facility to anyone looking for upscale professional service and atmosphere.

I truly appreciate being able to store everything at Uhaul. Initially it was only supposed to be a few months, but we couldn't find a place, the pandemic hit and then we were living in a hotel. Knowing that my stuff was safe in storage really gave me peace of mind during a really difficult time. I really appreciate the black lady at the front desk, she was always helpful, kind, understanding and went above and beyond every single time.

All staff are fast to help& great communication. The facility is spacious. It easily fits 2 Uhaul 10x10 trucks to pass by each other in the lanes to get around. If unit is 2nd floor the staff quickly brings a forklift to bring down the storage lift crate for you to load @ ground level. Fill it up as many times as you need & they bring it up& down. No hauling upstairs needed. Highly recommend Jamacha Rd Uhaul storage in Spring Valley.

The on-site staff are always amazing. But the ongoing telephone technical issues of calls not going through or getting rerouted to trailer hitch department with no person to even talk to have been a HUGE headache. It wasn't just a day - it was weeks of issues. Emails all bounced back as well and wasn't able to access the website - super frustrating.

It seemed like the customer service person was holding the storage for some reason and didn't want to rent it to me. She kept insisting it was taken and "not showing up on her system " so I proceeded to book it online in front of her and miraculously she found that it was available. Very annoying and a waste of time arguing with her whether it was available or not for a good 10-15 minutes.

I am waiting for a reversed payment for January 2021 . I always tried to pay in advance and I was blessed to be able to pay early my due date . But there is one thing I am not in agreement with is . I didn't use a whole month in December why am I not receiving a retroactive payment for the days not in use? my due date was for the 25th of December 2020 I moved out on the 10th of December 2020 .

All was well except they never answered the phone and they kept billing me after I checked out. Waiting on the phone was really long. People were nice though.

Please repair the card reader coming in the vehicle entrance has been inop for 3 weeks or more. I had to gk out my car and use the exit side.

Please note this is my first time renting a storage unit so I have nothing to compare with. Upon my arrival I waited for approximately 10 minutes for service. Uhaul did not have the size I needed.
