This has been the second time I have rented a U-Haul from this establishment and each time for some reason they give me the worst truck that they have which the second time that I got the truck I wasted a lot of time I’m trying to get it started much was wrong with it and I was told they’re probably gonna get ready to put it to the boneyard but yet they rented it to me.

The printer was down I did not receive any paper work. They did not inspect the truck. When I returned it they charged me for damage. After checking records they discovered it was previous damage. Now waiting to be reimbursed.

Brakes did not work on trailer. When I called to let them know, the call center person seemed to not care. The staff at the pickup location are great but they are seldom who answers the call. The call center people are usually not impressive.

The phone application was redundant, I did all the work and still had to go in and wait for keys. Returning, the phone application crashed and I had to go wait in line to turn in keys. The location and staff are great- your phone app? Not so much.

My recent experience with U-Haul Moving and Storage of Waterford was nothing short of disappointing. The level of professionalism and customer service exhibited by the staff was shockingly poor. Throughout my interactions, all of employees came across as unprofessional and outright rude, with little to no communication and/or customer services skills. The three women who seemingly worked there on Fridays through Monday were not capable of doing even the bare minimum, shoving chips in their mouths and on their phones while "tending" to a customer, like myself. **For additional context, I am a female myself and have nothing against women.** One of the most frustrating aspects of my experience was the repeated failure to honor reservations, that are apparently required. On multiple occasions, I made reservations to access my U-Box container, only to arrive and be informed that there was no record of my reservation. This led to significant delays, with me having to wait for 30 minutes to an hour for them to have to ask the manager locate and move my U-Box to an accessible location. Such inefficiency is unacceptable, especially when customers rely on timely access to their belongings during a move. Overall, I was deeply disappointed by the management and service quality at U-Haul Moving and Storage of Waterford. I would caution anyone considering their services to explore alternative options, as the experience I had left much to be desired.

I believe they put the wrong size ball on the hitch It was very loose and pounding as I drove I have hauled a lot of trailers and the hitch has never been so loose on the ball

I have a complaint about reservations using the website. Number one: If images of the driver's license are required at the pickup point, state that clearly on the webpage. Number two: I provided a contact person and telephone number (my wife who did not travel with me.). She was not allowed. If there exclusions for that person, then they should be stated clearly on the webpage. These were not critical problems, but they slowed down the process reduced my satisfaction with the transaction.

The app did not work properly for the self pick up without going to the counter so I had to go to the counter for assistance. I had already uploaded my drivers license, already added additional contact information, employer information was already added in the app. Everything was in there including the card information so I thought this would be a fast process. I was assisted right away, but the person kept stopping to go and assist someone else which was cutting into the time I had reserved the truck. The lady assisting me I guess had assisted another customer next to me and improperly scheduled the truck. So a more experience U-Haul worker was fixing the issue as this person was assisting me. The person assisting me was preoccupied with assisting this other person, then getting me through my process. Then she could not find the truck or keys. She came back in and told me the keys were in the truck and just told me the number of the truck and said I can just walk out there and look in the right hand corner of all the trucks and find the truck. 30 minutes after trying to get checked in. Hi ended up going out there and thank goodness I had the truck check-in part From the app where I was able to do a thorough exterior check in of the outside because it was damaged so bad the mileage and gas that was listed on my sheet was inaccurate. I had to take a picture of the mileage to update it, so I was not charged extra miles not used and the same with the gas gauge. The door was damaged so bad that I had to slam it numerous times in order to get the door to actually close so that I was not getting the warning signal that the door was open. The vehicle did not drive well it said the tire pressure was too low on the dashboard display and it made a very squeaky, loud noise And felt like the tire or something was going to fall off the entire time while operating it. It was the worst truck that I have ever rented. And I am going to check my credit card as I hope I was only charge once since the process was done inside and on the app.

Fixing the large hole in the ground would be great, as well as having more clear direction for where to put the returned equipment especially after hours when there isnt a worker present. I was also charged 15 bucks after dropping it off and I have no idea why, especially since I was told if I returned it between an 8th and a quarter tank I would get a 15 dollar credit due to how low it was originally. So I feel a little stolen from.

I did mobile check-in which makes you provide a bunch of verification once you are at the location when it could be provided before hand, this affected my planning for the truck the mobile service should be more streamlined. Also after being assigned a truck there were no direction as to where to locate the truck so I spent 10 minutes driving around the whole lot looking for a truck that wasn't there. I finally went into the location to make eye contact with an employee who then went back to playing on there phone until I reached the front counter. When asking for help the employee was very unhelpful, basically told me to go check the lot I just checked. He eventually assigned me to a different truck which was not clean and had a cracked mirror casing. After returning in which I topped the gas back up to where it was when I picked up the vehicle I was then charged 13$ for gas after paying for mileage as well. This is just shady and bad business. I will go out of my way to never use this location again if I even use haul after this terrible experience

The girl that worked at the counter when I went to pick up the actual trailer was very slow, moving and more concerned about having a conversation and laughing with the associate that she was working with. The trailer was not thoroughly cleaned out.

This facility is incredible... you can't go wrong visiting this store...I suggest get everything done on line because they are busy and it can save you some time. One thing I did like I really appreciated was the fact they have a place for handycap people like myself to wait your turn.... Thank You to all the service attendants for all you assistance!!!

I was told the units in the building were temperature controlled when I leased the unit. That was false, it was so cold that some of my stuff had frost on it. I'm just glad I didn't have electronics stored. Other than that everyone was very nice and the facility was always very clean and tidy.

We rented a second unit when we needed to store my mom's furniture for a month while moving her to assisted living. I appreciated we were able to rent a truck (twice) last minute and rent a unit. My only suggestion is to get more furniture dollies. We took the last one and I heard someone come behind us who couldn't get one because you were out. Your location also did not have blankets for rent. I understand people steal them but they should be charged and the items replaced. Overall, you run a great operation!

Issues with the website caused problems with auto pay multiple times that led to a late fee, contacting staff and getting a response was difficult, rodents got into my things and chewed things, rent was raised multiple times

The staff member that rented me the storage unit was the only person willing to help us. She was nice but not knowledgeable. The other three staff were not willing to give any kind of assistance. I made two other purchases the guy that helped with the second item was watching tiktok videos on his phone though the whole transaction he never really looked up. We decided to get boxes for dishes none of the three worker was willing to come out from behind counter to help instead they stood in a crowd watching videos on the guys phone. My fiance had demand help from one the girls that upset her she had a attitude the time when helping us. We tried to get information on where the alarm was located they gave vague directions. The whole time we were there three of the staff members were very unprofessional. The girl that rented us the unit was the only member willing to give any help. I will not recommend this business to anyone. I have used this business for years I didn't know your customer service had declined to this point.

Facility was very dirty, and had obvious plumbing problems. They have no dumpster or even a garbage can on site open to the public. The smell from plumbing problems is unbearable. Way overpriced. Totally understaffed. Very unprofessional staff. I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone. I will never rent storage with uhaul again.

Lock was not in unit, went to front office, they said its on the floor. I advised I scoured the whole unit and there's not one, finally they did provide one for me. I also asked the hours for storage, we had a flood and needed to make sure we could move everything in, they said 24 hours with my code. We did quite a few loads but came with another after 11 and could not access.

Due to a bad storm coming through with a lot of flooding, we needed a unit fast. The staff at uhaul was beyond what I expected. They took care of me and my needs were met. They didn't try to put me in anything I didn't want or need. And I was in and out and with the power being out all over they ( staff. Bonnie and Ann) made it work with the difficulty hey had to deal with and made no complaints on the situation.. The best price and by far the best service.

The local guys were fine outside of missing a hole in the gas tank of a 20 foot trailer that we had already loaded so it had to be unloaded by a group that U-Haul provided which destroyed most of our furniture. They loaded a 27 foot truck in three hours. They just threw our stuff on there which we didn't know until we unloaded it in Michigan And the gas mileage was terrible. Truck ran like crap. Bounced me like crazy! I've used U-Haul for years and never had this bad experience. The Oklahoma manager, Nathan French was outstanding, but he could only do so much.

Employees should be trained in closing unit procedures. We were given conflicting information resulting in a Nasty call from the manager. We ate nit "dumping trash" type of people and were put off by being accused of that when a staff member told us that we could leave usable furniture in the garage because "other customers will usually take it and sometimes the staff will as well" only to receive a phone call saying we would be fined for "dumping". Train your employees to avoid this in the future.

My husband I accidentally left 2 suitcases in the van. We weren't even aware of it. Uhaul called and told us. I informed them I was disabled and my husband was out of town working. I informed them that I was unable to come and get the suitcases due to my disability. But, that my husband would when he returned. They said they would hold them for us. My husband also talked to them via phone while he was out of town as I had informed him of the situation. They informed him also that they would hold the suitcases for us. When he returned and went to uhaul to pick up the suitcases they were not there he was told. No one knew what happened to them. Everyone was playing dumb. Everyone we spoke too was unconcerned and didn't have any explanation for our missing suitcases. As the content in the suitcases were many brand new clothing items and shoes I know the suitcases disappeared because of this fact. Also in the suitcases were very important documents. I am still highly upset about how our suitcases just disappeared after we were assured by staff at the uhaul facility that they would be there for us to pick up when my husband returned. I would not recommend uhaul to any one because they are untrustworthy and do not care about the safety of individuals personal belongings. Nor do they stand by and honor their word.

I never had any problems while renting storage. I found that their prices are more reasonable than others in the area. Very nice patient and friendly people. Once I determine the size unit I need for my remaining belongings I will be returning there to rent a smaller size unit.

I closed my storage unit on 2/23/2023 and contact the office and they inform me that everything is ok. I visited the Uhaul web site on 2/25/2023 and the unit was not market closed. I had to go back to Uhaul office in the cold and waited for long time in the cold to get service. Is the unit shows closed? Are the Autobill is stoped?

I have never been so disappointed and upset with the unprofessionalism that they displayed in my life! 1st I called to setup the reservation, have the screenshot on my phone of the times and at the end of our conversation, with your customer service rep. She tells me Uhaul systems were down and she couldn't take my credit card payment. She instructed me that I needed to go into the office and pay cash. I did exactly as I was instructed to do and since I had to pay cash (NOT by my choice but do to Uhaul) I had to pay an extra $100 deposit.. which I was told I would get right back! I was picking up in Waterford location and dropping off in Rochester which is only about 15-20 if that. I returned the truck at 6:30 was at their location figuring out the storage unit (since the systems were down the night before it didn't add my storage unit properly) and the truck never left that location again after that. I finished unloading the truck and dropped the keys in the drop box as the gentleman at the counter told me to. I went back the next morning to get my $100 deposit back and they added on a whole bunch of extra fees to where I couldn't get my deposit back at all. They added an extra day on plus an overnight night fee. Just enough to not give me anything back! To me that is highway robbery! You can review the footage and see when the truck hit there lot and never left again! There was no overnight or use of the next day at all. My paperwork says I returned the truck the next day at 8:01 a.m FALSE, I returned the truck at 6:30 the night before and had until 6:45 as my paperwork stated. I even made sure to go across the street to the Speedway and add gas, even though I barely used any, but I didn't want that to be an issue! The whole point, they would have never had any of my money to play with if it wasn't for Uhaul's system being down and I feel they took full advantage of that and added all these obscene charges to my account just to not return my deposit that I was rightfully owed. I have tried to call Uhaul numerous times just to get put on hold and then they answer and hang up! I have never had a worse experience and felt so used and taken advantage of in my life! I would never trust that location or uhaul to handle business in the upmost manner!!!

Everything about using your facility was great. Always clean, well lite. Two things that I noticed during my leading time that I felt could have made things even easier: expand your office hours to 6:00 pm, since not everyone has the ability to be there before 5. And somehow have a dedicated "clear path" to the loading dock bay doors. There were always so many U-Haul trucks parked rather haphazardly around the facility, I had to drive "dodge ball" style to get to the bay doors. Overall, a great facility! Merci.

Customer Service a this location is terrible. They are more interested in talking to each other than servicing customers. Each rep that I dealt with had no idea what simple manners are, some were down right rude to customers, mumbling, making jesters, political incorrect statements to people, etc. When trying to call this location you can be on hold for hours. when in location the phone rang until it went to voice mail, with people in the store doing nothing. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Hello, I hope all is well. Thank you for the outstanding service. Please consider, better explaining in writing (email, pdf, webpage, not only the video): 1) disarming and arming your unit 2) access hours 3) what to do if an alarm is set off (accidentally or by someone else) 4) common obstacles - At this particular location, RV loading can make it difficult to view proper signage and traffic markings. This also makes it more difficult to find the drive up garage for loading. Great units! last comment - please consider 24/7 or 24/5 access. Or up until midnight during the week.

You by far the worst staff any establishment has. First off your "hitch" guy Tremone is nothing but trouble. He's extremely rude and threatened to fight me as he walked away to the back room. Secondly the "new" girl with blue smurf hair is obviously to anything she's doing. Has no clue what to do or how to be helpful. If she was "new" why is she being left alone with little to no training whatsoever. Maybe it's not your employees because horrible staff reflect how they're managed and clearly this staff has ZERO training or customer service skills. The managers first name is Zach. It's a Monday and your "manager" is nowhere to be found? Ridiculous.. I paid for storage here but believe me I will be looking to move as soon as I find another storage unit. Will never use uhaul again and suggest you do the same. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

The new paved and covered outside storage area for RV's & Boats is wonderful. Easy access, remote control entry (loved this....no code) and 2 hours a day electric included to keep your batteries charged. The other nice thing about this storage is NO rodents to eat your wiring because it is paved. Thank you for a great storage experience.

Callled number which i guess was call center to find out about storage units available and pricing. Lady spoke with acted like i was wasting her time. She asked me for my credit card to hold 2 units and i explained just getting information and she abruptly wanted off the phone, she also had rude behavior. I would have thought you would be polite and want to answer customers question and help in any way possible. Went to facility in person to hold the 2 units. No problem. Gave credit card to hold the units. Called in again 4 days prior to moving company delivery to verify units were available and apparently again dealing with call center, was told i didnt have 2 units only 1. The lady said there was nothing she could do for me and asked if she should look at different location. Told her no that doesnt help me at all. I would have to pay the moving company the time and materials to go to different area. She put me on the phone with she said was her manager, found out he wasnt a manager, he said nothing he could do and when holding units with credit card doesnt mean they actually hold it. What does that mean right? He offered me 2 indoor units 5X10 for $98. per unit with no discount. Thats was $100 approx. more than outdoor 10X10. Which I had on hold and somehow lost. Incredible. Then manager said he would hold those 2-5X10 units no problem without coming to store he had plenty of them. He said i wouldnt loose them. Then what happened to my 10X10 outdoor unit. I was extremely upset with no option at this point due to giving moving company address to facility and would have to pay to change. Went to facility(U-Haul) after work and spoke with CALEB! He checked my reservation and stated the units i put on hold were still there on reservation. 2 units like i requested initially and we finalized paperwork so I wouldnt lose units. CALEB was extremely helpful. Maybe he should run call center and save CUSTOMERS alot less stress and headache.I know three people should go somewhere else if they dont want to deal with customers or help anyway they can. Just saying!

The only thing I have a complaint about is when I drove my hour commute to this location in order to retrieve items only to find an extra lock had been placed on my unit. My unit was paid up to date, as it always was, so this confused me. I asked multiple employees and no one had a clue why it was there and told me to come back tomorrow. I made another hour long commute and again no answers but this time they had the spare key to the mystery key and told me it was in the managers office whom did not even attempt to reach out. My time, gas and energy was wasted because someone slapped a random lock on my unit without my knowledge or consent. Staff was not helpful with this situation at all

Everything was great. Only complaint is they never have the supplies the advertise in stock online and they are always busy and understaffed. Once you get set with truck and storage it's smooth sailing and most can be done online

Better fluidity in communication between facility and Uhaul regarding what services are in the contract. Unaware I had contracted not only for the truck but also for a unit and moving personnel. No contact info was ever given from the website for the movers and they never showed nor did I have a way to contact them. Was not aware that there were dollies at the facility but was happy to see and use them after not having the promised help at the house.

My 4 month storage experience was positive. I would recommend the facility to others. Ann and Bonnie seemed were always around and were knowledgable and professional. My negative experience was returning the 19' truck I rented the first 4 days. I only saw this rental agent one time - during truck check in and he was really nasty when i asked to extend the rental one more day. I would describe his demeanor as abusive. I kept my cool and worked around the "issues" this fella had, but it left me feeling I was mistreated and had not been fairly billed. To this day I feel I was overly charged and had been 'tricked' into excessive truck rental fees. When I left I hired local movers. It was expensive, but I didnt want to have to repeat the U-Haul truck rental move in experience. The UHaul truck rental fees billed to my credit card "were shady". ANY additional fees should be upfront and texted/emailed to the customer upon the billing occuring.

It would have been better however. I had to deal with a UHaul employee that wasn't happy with me because I apparently wasn't using the easiest entrance to unload. Number one it was my first time there so how would I have known. He just kept repeating himself and saying for future reference. I was already unloaded I wasn't going to load my stuff back in the car to do it the way he wanted me to. He made my move in experience terrible. He called my phone and then said the same thing in person like seriously leave me alone. He kept saying it like I was stupid. He wasn't trying to be helpful he was upset I didn't use the entrance closer to my unit. I told him it was my first time there and he just kept saying for future reference, which by the way is rude. Other than that experience with that UHaul employee everything else was fine except if it's so important to use the entrance closer to your unit then UHaul should put those specific instructions in the initial move in email.

Could not find the unit/did not help finding the unit when talking to one of the younger representatives. Walked around the property for 30 minutes in 90 degree heat and eventually found it. The unit was already rented out and he had to wait until they found another unit (same employee).

Anne was always there to answer all of my questions with a willingness to assist me. You can tell that she really likes her job & not just there for a paycheck. I appreciate all of the staff at this location. I've been to other locations, and NO Thanks. I will continue to rent from the Elizabeth Lk. Stores as I have for so many years in the past.

Everything went well except the closing of the account. IT was not closed after the access card was handed in. So I got charged multiple times and had to visit the facility to close the account. Calling the facility went to permanent hold and did not help Thanks for everything.

They let someone cut off my lock and replaced it with their lock and that person proceeded to take my personal items out of the storage unit. Fortunately I found this out relatively soon after it happened and it was rectified but other than "sorry " I was offered no other compensation off my storage fees...nothing. I felt very violated. You are lucky I am a nice person and didn't involve the police or file a complaint.

Employee work load doesnt give them opportunity to explain policies. I saw several customers angry at counter - it wasnt their fault. UHaul Leadership needs to learn how to defuse these situations. Bad internet reviews validate this happens to often at this location.

The only problem is there were not enough staff there helping customers. When I walked in there were 3 people ahead of me in line, 3 people sitting down that had already been helped and waiting on something before they could leave, and even with a reservation I still had to wait almost 20 mins to be helped. While standing waiting about 5 people walked in after me. It's a small store and people were just standing everywhere. It just doesn't seem like enough staff are on site to service the number of customers coming through. Otherwise the person who helped me individually was great! Very friendly and helpful.

The staff were not very helpful except for one lady. One man was playing on his phone and didn't even talk to me. The reservation was lost and the storage unit was not available. I don't know if this is because the facility was so large or employees didn't care.

My only advise would be for I haul to have better communication with customers. You can never reach anyone on the phone at this facility. That is a bad thing. Everyone was friendly and helpful in the store at all times. This place was so clean! Loved the care!

The lock was not in my unit when I moved in, and when I went to the service area to get a lock I had to wait at least 10 minutes to get help from an employee. When the employee showed up they were clearly in a bad mood. Overall, the online experience was great, in person, not so much.

I cleaned out my unit after my monthly payment had been auto-deducted five days previously. When I tried to call and ask if I would be getting any of that money back, having only used the unit five days of that month, I could never get anyone to answer the phone. I tried four times. So I drove over there, and asked the staff member on duty. There was no smile, nothing welcoming at all, just a flat, "No we don't prorate." That was it. Unfriendly AND unfair.

I moved out of my unit aug 19th 2020, went into office and told them I was moving....asked if i needed to sign anything, the staff said no and blew me off. 2 weeks later I get a call from a manager asking if I had.moved out of the unit. My move was finalized 2 days after that sept 1 2020. Im disappointed in the lack of communication and the laziness of the employees who couldn't complete my move the day I actually moved out.

Plz Reduce payment. Access doors were locked. Ttook 1,5 hrs to gain access which caused addition contracted time. Unit was not as ordered. Had to move contents. Hard to reach a Rep. Mgr resolved.

After hours double doors do not open was very hard to bring cartful of stuff in through the man door Place was clean carts assessable Hard to load on the slant by door - cart kept rolling away

This team hustles and cares about its customers. The facilities are one of the largest around and they have converted to digital communication which is very convenient. Great job!!

It was pretty busy on Sunday. Everyone was courteous and helpful. My gate card didn't work at first so I had to come back in and get it fixed which was a bit of a hassle, but they fixed it quickly.

Took over an hour to rent out a unit, three employees had to help and there was a lot of confusion on what to charge for. Seemed unorganized. Closing out storage went much quicker.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. Commodore, one of the Waterford store employees saw me struggling with a bundle of boxes and assisted me with loading them into my vehicle. Stellar employees!

Brand new facility with over 800 indoor units. Loading dock with garage pull in makes it above the other storage facilities around. Staff was very kind and helpful.

I rented a truck & moved out of my unit. I sat at the counter 3 separate times & informed 3 diff staff I was moving out. It never got notated in system. I was billed for the next month.

Took four different calls to the store to let them know I moved out and no longer needed my unit. received multiple notices saying I had late charges. every time I called I was on hold forever.

Everything went great...until it didn't. I tried to cancel my storage unit in store and was told I would receive a receipt by email. I never did, had to call and struggle to close it over the phone

Facilities could use updates compared to other uhaul facilities. The staff was courteous though always too busy. I had issues with ending my storage reservation despite conversations with 2 employees.
