Upon arrival, the manager as the only one working, was helping two other customers. Her attitude towards them was less than cheerful and somewhat rude. We waited to be helped and then got everything situated and paid for. She kept pushing storage and how lonely she is there. She handed our paperwork and told us which truck was ours and that was it. My dad and I did a walk around noting all the spots with an X. That meant previous damage. We were not walked out or around with, nor was it explained that we had to use a text link to walk around the truck to mark damage. Upon return, everything was good according to them and they closed it out and processed my total. Then almost an hour later, they opened it back up and added damage charges to my contract. No pictures, just added the damage and charged me for almost $300 worth. I called as soon as I was aware angry because there was no damage. They claimed we hit an overhang when the drive is a straight shot in the clearing and you do not go under anything at all, not even to load/unload. The manager I spoke with, Michelle, was very rude and yelled at me over the phone making it clear she believed I was at fault and the Damage Waiver I purchased wasn't even considered because she called it "negligence" so it will not cover what she deems damage from us. We didn't damage the vehicle, and yet even with their purchased protections, she is still going to stick you with the bill for ANY damage she can find on the vehicle. She will find a way to make sure you aren't "protected" via her say of what happened. We spoke with someone else through U-Haul who was able to support us and ensure the claim was contested and apologized repeatedly for how unprofessional and rude the manager treated us. The charges were shown to be reversed for the damage AND the additional charge that occurred from them closing the contract a second time therefore a second rental payment. Everything with this experience was poor and frustrating. The manager lacks customer service skills and is challenging even after I was helped through U-Haul. She emailed even after it was contested to ensure me she was going to charge me and her evaluation of the damages stands. Given what another customer reviewed with their experience, she's fraudulently seeking to charge her customers. Maybe she's so lonely as she stated and unhappy that this is what she feeds off of. Highly inappropriate in management to behave in such a manner. We will never be renting through U-Haul again. Rent through Enterprise. They care about their customers.

The associate on duty was not at the location when I went to retrieve or return my rental. We had to wait 15-20 minutes for her to get back to Uhaul to open the door and help us. She judged me and made me feel uncomfortable by assuming I wasn't using the rental for a move. When we ran into an issue because the website's info was misleading and I had some misunderstandings, she made the situation alot more difficult instead of just helping me with a better solution. I was already going through a stressful situation and she made me day 10 times worse. I returned the equipment early because I felt profiled and uncomfortable with even having the van. The lady insinuated that I was using the RENTAL van as a rental instead of for a move, then made me feel like she thought I wanted to run off with the van. So here you go, take the van back a few days early! I was blessed enough to receive help with MY MOVE from someone else and the use of their truck.

Michelle is a great asset to this location, because of her I will return. Seth on the other hand, was not willing to help when it came to returning the truck that was rented. Even after being called & told I was coming to return it. When I arrived he wanted it done through the app rather than helping out. Terrible cell service at the location took 10 minutes just to get through page one of the app return process. It ended up freezing up & wasn't able to upload photos or complete the return. Was frustrating & disappointing.

I got the distinct impression that not having the U-Haul app on my phone was a profound imposition on the man working there. Rather than hand me the keys to the truck and doing a walk around with me, I was sent to a lock box with a combination to the lock. Had to wander around for a bit before I figured the truck I rented was in the front lot.

After doing the online rental and getting text notifications regarding the unit is ready and my lock is inside, I arrived to the unit with a full vehicle after office hours but before storage access hours closed. The code a received via text allowed me to get through the gate and locate my unit however the unit was locked and inaccessible. I needed to leave with a full car load as I was unable to use the unit. The following day I got a phone call that because it was an exterior unit I needed to stop in the office to obtain keys. Not convenient at all.

Overall my experience was very good, but with one exception. This was my second time using a Uhaul moving truck within a month. The first time we did not have any issues, the second time, the truck we reserved was unavailable at our reserved time. I was able to get a truck 3,5 hours later. I questioned whether or not we would receive the $50 reservation guarantee since the truck I reserved was not there at the pre-determined time. I was brushed off by two different employees, and ultimately never received that for our inconvenience.

I paid for two storage lockers on different occasions. I did not return keys to one of the empty units that I had rented until September 2. I was able to get in anytime, I found carts to help carry bigger loads, and the aisles were always open and clean. I needed to store items for a few months due to the sale of my house and a pending move. This worked out very well .

Michelle is not fit for her position. How on Earth does she still have it. She extended my reservation without even asking. Then! As a former employee with uhaul, I made sure to clean it out; both sweeping, and a swiffer mop, filled the tank over what I got it at, and used half the miles expected. Still she charged me for a cleaning fee. There were no muddy stains, no trash left behind. I literally checked the truck at the store before I got out and returned it an hour before my 48 hours was up. She mentioned I "scared" her with my reservation...in town....and I'm a previous paying customer. Also, the address i gave was down the street. I dont understand how I can scare someone I've never met with my reservation. Then she claims it's because I didn't answer a call that I returned! With no answer. The unfair treatment was incredibly frustrating. Not a location I will ever return to.

Pick up of truck was flawless...girl at the desk was very helpful. Drop off not so much. Sign outside states that you are to remain at the vehicle until someone comes out to assist you with the check-in of the truck. That never happened so I went inside after 5-10 minutes where I was greeted by a gentlemen who I previously saw outside when I was waiting. He obviously saw me out there but made no attempt to come over. Don't post a sign telling people to wait at the vehicle if you have no intention of following your own instructions.

The only thing I didn't like was what I referred to as your archaic entry system. You always have to use the card to get in and out and that card seems to find its different pockets so it's difficult to find sometimes. The competitors use a numerical entry and system that doen't need a credit type card to enter.. As a result, I in the future will only prefer to use systems that don't require a credit card that can get misplaced in in one's own pocket.

Store manager, Michelle was an exceptional, invaluable, thorough, resourceful representative of U-Haul. Although my rental was short, I was shown genuine empathy during my family bereavement process of emptying our love one home. My usage of this facility, and rental trucks/vans were always immaculate. Inclement weather, infiltrated nearby gas pipe fumes, doubled keyed locks of my unit, disgruntled patrons, synchronized loading dock area of several patrons, all of which I personally witnessed were nail biting moments that was dealt professionally by Michelle. In my opinion, Michelle is invaluable asset to this branch owner, and it was a pleasure meeting, working, and knowing her.

I completed the rental process online and when I arrived, the lock inside my unit that was provided by the facility did not work. Due to the office not being open at the time I arrived, I proceeded to use the call service located on the wall near my unit and there was no answer. Although there was a phone number posted for calls after hours, no one answered that line either. I was able to find a working lock inside a neighboring unit and messaged the manager to inform her of the non-working lock and the empty unit number the working lock was removed from. The manager never called back or replied to my text. When I arrived with a second load the same day, I spoke with someone at the office to inform them of issue with the lock and to request a different unit due to the unit I was assigned being smaller than advertised. The who assisted was filling in for the manager who was not onsite and as I was loading my belongings into the unit, the person informed me that the manager said I would need to provide a backup contact, or I would have to remove my items from the unit. I advised the person that when I attempted to add the phone number for my backup contact online, the website would not accept the phone number. The person relayed the information to the manager and said the manager said if I didn't provide a backup contact, they would move me out themself. Consider the lock did not work when I arrived; no one answer the wall mounted call system to assist; no one answered the afterhours phone number to assist; I found the managers actions and threat to vacate my unit to be unprofessional and unsettling. Especially considering that the manager never responded to my text when I informed her about the events and the fact that the website would not accept the phone number for my backup contact. The person who assisted even ran into system issues when attempting to add the phone number but was ultimately able to resolve the issue. I believe the managers name is Michelle and my advice to would be for them to acknowledge customer communications, speak with the customer prior to threatening to vacate their unit, and don't threaten customers with unwarranted actions. Highly unprofessional and unethical!

Hidden fees and unprofessional management. Was charged $20 for after hours drop off, which was never explained. Michelle's response was that it was on the contract.....however the contract I had was unreadable because there was no toner in the printer and she couldn't figure out how to change it. Was also charged $25 cleaning fee for debris in the cab.....I drove 11 miles and got in and out of the cab twice. Stay away from this dishonest location.

The customer service representative was fantastic! I would immediately recommend this location based on him. However, the printed information about filling up the tank at the end was inaccurate. I followed the documentation and even added a little more gas to be on the safe side. The result was that I was charged $10,5 for gas. In addition, The app I used to check in after hours was difficult to use. I was able finally able to follow through with everything until it asked for a bar code to verify my location. This bar code was supposed to be located next to the key drop box. Several people searched for the bar code for about 10 minutes. We never found it. Because there was no bar code, I was unable to finish my check-in. This resulted in an additional fee of $20.00. Because of these errors on U Haul's part, my fee was $30,5 more than it should have been. Because of this, I would never recommend U Haul to other people.

I was charged 25 dollars for not sweeping out the truck. I swept the back of the ruck twice, the final time being in the parking lot on camera at this location. I am very disappointed that this location is trying to charge me extra money for no reason. I feel taken advantage of and will not be returning to this location and possibly not using uhaul at all in the future.

The woman working was lovely. Our overall Uhaul experience however does not even rate one star. You cannot do business where someone reserves a truck and makes plans including childcare for moving and then do a bait and switch wrecking someone's entire day and plans with totally different size, time, location of pickup. Driving all over the county to get a truck adds a ton of extra time and mileage and is a total sham and horrible business practice. I will never ever use a Uhaul again.

Reservation Was moved by location to self check-in. The self check- in was a pain in the ___. Location didn't work somI had to search for the bar code to scan which worked on the 5th try. Then the rest of the process took forever. The vehicle was on other side of building also instead and had to walk around to find it. Returning vehicle said to wait which I did for a while and finally went in where the girl behind the counter was the only good thing about the emotive check in/out process. Unlike the the great service I get at the Dundee location in Illinois.

My experience with this Uhaul was the worst. The staff are very unprofessional and rude. The manager is just as rude as her employees. I returned a moving truck and they had the nerve to insist that we wash out the cargo because it was "dirty". Not to mention it was winter time. O will never use this location again!

Phenomenal experience! Highly recommend. Very satisfied. We rented a large, environmentally controlled unit (F48) for 17 months. Move-in and move-out was hassle-free (indoor parking for loading and unloading -with carts & bathrooms). Staff was always super friendly and helpful. Unit and building was clean, secure and easy to access. The long-term rental rate was very reasonable. When we moved out, all our stuff was still clean & fresh. No musty odors. No signs of dampness. Not a hint of pests or rodents - nothing! No dead bugs. No droppings. No damage whatsoever. Furniture ( and files and clothes, etc) were in the same clean, like-new condition as when we stored it. Convenient location, hours & extras! Great value, great service, great place to store stuff. This was our third time renting here over the past 5+ years and we'll be back. Thanks UHaul! We appreciate you.

I have been a tenant for 8 years due to an unfortunate situation in my life. Michelle the manager is awesome and very helpful. My recent situation was appalling and absolutely unnecessary. My debit card that has paid for the storage units for 8 years is valid thru June 30, 2022, however, we are assuming that your system only allows for "06/22". Which I understand is interpreted as June 1st. As a result my card was declined and I was charged an $83 late fee. The late fee was promptly refunded. But I am so disappointed, I have not been late one time nor has my card ever been declined. I have used the card at countless retailers with no issues. It is embossed in my card that it is valid "thru 06/22". This is unacceptable and cost me a great deal of time and research. Fix your computer glitch and errors. Terri

The website is very slow when checking different storage locations. The filter and search functionalities while allowing some filtering options is still in an early stage functionality wise. We consistently find that the U-haul offices are severely understaffed - to the point where the wait time for pick up or drop off of the equipment takes an extremely long time. We have had two recent u-haul rentals. In both cases we had to wander around toe facility to find someone who could, in one case give us the equipment, and in the other, could accept our return of equipment. Even though we did our reservations on line there was all kinds of paperwork to complete upon our arrival at the rental facilities. When a staff member was at the desk, we had to wait while others who had done on line reservations completed this work. Only one person was there to help, even when the line assured very long wait times. My 7:00 am rental time resulted in a 45 minute wait to get a storage facility rental completed. A 7:30 pick up appointment for my small rental truck from another nearby facility didn't get me on my way for another 30 minutes. U-Haul needs to streamline its check out arrangement with both more staff and a more thoroughly complete on line rental agreement

I only have one issue and that is when I submitted a reservation online about a month before I actually needed a unit and it was for an indoor unit. When I went to the office, there were no indoor units available so I had to get an outside one again but other than that, everything is good.

There was ice buildup on the bottom of doors on the outside units and I couldn't get my vehicle in and I was able to get an indoor one. That's the only problem I had. Good job

Seen many negative reviews but everything was okay for me. Everyone helped me and was courteous. I did have one little issue last year but it got resolved. Thank you Kayla for the resolution.

We recommend this U-Haul Storage Facility 100 %. We rented the climate controlled unit. All of our items were in perfect condition when we moved out. The staff is exceptional. Try it, you will see!

I was one of the first tenants when this facility was built. Nice family owned place. Over time, the prices got to be too much for the type of stuff I had stored. No complaints. Very clean place.
