Maybe come up with a plan for short in town rentals that includes the gas so we have one less thing to worry about. Or have your staff fill up the trucks all the way so the only thing we have to do is fill up the truck without calculating how much gas to fill in.

Driver's side truck door did not close. I could stick an entire finger through the gap it left. Door was clearly damaged upon pickup and photos were taken while still in the lot. Additionally, mom's attic leaked and destroyed an entire box of law books and notes. After returning, staff overcharged me by 30+ miles, saying i owed an additional $60, which I disputed. Uhaul has since charged me multiple times a total of almost $160 for these charges.

I was over charged by over $500. I was told I left the vehicle on E when I did not. I only went 15 to 20minutes one way and back. I was told I went 241 miles. I dropped the truck off and out the keys in the box. I called 2 times to get the error fixed before I came in but I was then belittled over the phone and giving no proper help. No one thought to contact the location and figure out what happened. I cancel my credit cards because the mistake on your behalf. I went in the store and was still made a fool of. Then I get a call a hour or so later saying "we are so sorry, someone came behind u 2 hours later and stole the truck. You were telling the truth we are so sorry. ". Like I went thru hell today because of you. This was the worst experience of my life ever and you guys messed up my account by charging me over $50" dollars extra thank you for screwing up my bills

I successfully placed an order for a 24/7 location due to needing a longer timeframe than a 24 hr window. The day after I secured the location I get a call daying they don't have the truck I ordered and they were putting me with this location. Pick up time was 4pm, however, we stopped by at 3pm, filled out the paperwork and told them we would be back in an hr. The next we brought the truck back at 5pm, which is what I had it scheduled for at the previous place. We also brought it back with a 1/4 of a tank MORE than what they gave us. We get there and they tell us that they are charging us for another whole day... I was blown away. No one ever said having it at this new place would change my needs... but she made sure to tell me that if I brought the truck back with less gas then what they fave us, we would be charge $4,95 a gallon... yet, we don't get reimbursed for the extra gas we left you.. my husband even said to the clerk, "so are you going to give me the money for extra gas in the truck?".. she stumbled a bit with her response and said "oh...noooo.. we dont do that".. and my hisband responded with 'but you'll charge us for a whole entire day just because you have us down as being late"... there was ZERO communication in regards to times for the truck. The clerk didn't give us a timeframe.. nothing.. we were in the shop for less than 4 minutes from begining to end... enough time for her to give the key, confirm my credit card and tell us about the $5 a gallon if we return it with less.. I use your mobile services often... I never have any issues. But now i will NEVER use your services again. To be charged an addition $80+ for what i undestand to be an hr late in their eyes, is insane! That was DOUBLE my bill!!! For 1 hr!!! The weather was awful. With the snow. And rain.. no text..no calls... I will be sharing this experience online, as well with the BBB. Absolutely horrible. We own many properties locally and we have used your company for years to move clients and such. Never again!

Horrible and rude service from top to bottom, and we are a well known and respected business, so I can only imagine how they treat regular people at the Wilkes barre, Pa store on Mundy St. Plus they are trying to rob us it feels after in essence a fraudulent contract with nothing but errors and overcharges.

Arrived at 5pm to drop off a rental trailer to find the location closed despite 7am-7pm hours of operation. Several other pieces of equipment where randomly dumped in the drop off area, had to unhook the trailer myself in the dark while some creepy stranger sat in an old sedan watching me from the shadows... The self return app worked fine despite poor cell reception at that location.

Not sure if computer error or communication breakdown. Stopped early 8am at Kingston pa location for trailer. Informed none available but Wilkes-Barre pa location would have one available at 3pm. Called Wilkes-Barre location at 11am, they stared one was available since 8am. Not sure why the 2 stores were not on the same page

Only issue was that local U-haul office did not answer the phone due to end of month and short staffed. Unable to confirm storage space reservation through local store. But it turned out to not be an issue as counter confirmation was easy for truck and storage space.

Access was incredibly difficult from the outside and no one would answer the intercom or take a phone call while trying to gain access. A few of my antique pieces sustained moisture damage while in storage. The staff were just incredibly rude and uncaring. The lights would go out constantly when I was trying to consolidate items in the storage unit and I'd have to step out in the hall again for the lights to come vack on. I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone. It was not a good experience and I am relieved to be done with UHAUL of Wilkes-Barre!!

While it was well lit, the lights were movement sensitive and there were times that my height wasn't enough to register- and i'd walk half the length of the hall before they were activated. if i was inside the unit itself i'd have to use a flashlight to find anything inside because there was no lighting in the bigger units. as well as all the lights would go out on me if i didn't pop out every so often to show movement. i'd also recommend a way to get heavier object up there stairs with a small lift on one end or another- more for convenience of those who can't get help. also the units on the end that swing open and block the stairs is difficult to work with as well, maybe swap the hinges so stairwells don't get blocked by doors. only other problem was for larger objects maneuvering them around some angles were kind of difficult but not completely impossible.

I was not able to gain access to my unit because the card was not working nor the pin would work I was there for over an hour with the staff trying there best to solve the issue but nothing worked. U-Haul need to upgrade there system because this is a very old problem since I started 3 yrs ago and still the system always has a problem giving access

I found several sharp objects like screws, metal, etc which could puncture a tire driving in front of the storage unit. I picked them up and threw them away. Other than that,all seemed well.

When I was in the hallway the first time to move in my legs were covered in fleas from another storage unit. The best things about my experience was that I experienced the infestation prior to moving my belongings into the facility, at this time the prevenative measures worked from bringing the bugs into my home, and that a refund was provided.

I reserved a outside storage unit and when I arrived they told me the only a indoor unit. I explained that the representative on the phone ensured me that a outside unit was available. Since the one that was offered to me was insufficient for my needs I had to locate a storage facility away from my desired location and rent it.

It is very rare for me to give 5 stars to anyone for anything however as a Business owner I am well aware of the importance of feedback From customers. I have dealt with several of the u-haul locations In the area however my experience with this particular location is that they went above and beyond what I could have Ever expected. I believe the woman I spoke to more than once was the manager, I had a few small issues On my part And questions concerning my property Over the 8 months it was there. each time she politely and professionally answered my questions and solved my issues with 100 % satisfaction I can honestly say I have Absolutely nothing negative to say about this location Or the people in charge they're of. These days it seems everything is a hassle and Takes twice as long as it should But I am grateful knowing If I need anything it will be a quick and pleasurable experience With one less thing to worry about. Friendly, helpful and very convenient... rented a truck and storage unit in approx. 30-40 minutes, and thats after being shown the example units and upgrading our original order. Truck return after hours was very easy also... took 3 pictures and dropped keys in lockbox.

Ashley I believe her name was, she acted a bit stuck up, when I asked questions she tried to talk in circles like I was an idiot thinking she was slick. She had told me her words exactly if I return the truck with a certain amount of gas I will receive a refund of $75. When I had put $30 in the tank and went to get my refund she then lied and said I'll just be receiving a $5 refund. She then proceeded to say if I didn't fill it up I then would be charged $75 which she didn't say when I first went to pay for everything. It also stated in the paperwork I received and the screenshot I took from you that I would only have to pay $30 if I didn't fill up the tank to where you guys wanted. Either way she was deceitful, a but rude and your company and paperwork needs to get in order. As well as your training. I'm five months pregnant and I wasn't in the mood to go back and forth with her at that moment. I instead was going to contact HR regarding this bs. She also charged me for an amount of mileage unknown to me when she had asked me I told her I wasn't sure then looked it up to tell her. She had already put it in without waiting. This whole process was ridiculous and a waste of my money when I could've went to somewhere that wasn't uhaul and gotten more respect, better service, the products I actually wanted for a much MUCH cheaper price! I will be emailing this to an hr email and j do expect an email back.

There was a wet spot in our storage unit, no lock was left behind like we were told so we then had to go get our own, and I’m very surprised there is no elevator or something to help move heavy things to the second floor.

Was told there were no units available so I drove several miles to another location. They went online and reserved a unit from the original location. Had to register twice because I lost the screen when I went to check a phone number. Was given a code but didn't explain how to use 2 different keypads. Eventually was given a swipe card to use. Was not told to ask for one. Eventually it all worked but more difficult than it needed to be.

Overall I would say 4,5 stars, Nothing is perfect so I don't do 5 stars and the businesses that get 4,9 stars from me, Not only do they have to be perfect their prices have to be shockingly low as well. I don't think your prices are extremely high but they certainly aren't extremely low either. All in all it is a very clean and well maintained facility and I feel confident that my belongings are safe in your care.

Facilities were very clean. Access was convient and easy to load into and out of. Love that my unit was temperature controlled and didn't have to worry about my items being ruined by mold.

Uhaul is a deceitful company they play games with the customers I rented a truck and storage room but there never was any storage unit available so I am stuck with a truck full of contents from an apartment with no place to store them and no place to park the vehicle also I have to leave the other items in the home and forfeit them because we couldn’t unload the truck at storage and retrieve the rest of the furnishings we are loosing resources they sent me to two different storage places each had no storage unit but they gave me reservations For each of the storage facilities

rience with u-haul was fine. One suggestion: while working on cleaning out our unit, the lights went off every ten minutes or so because they work on motion detection. That left us in the dark until someone walked to the end of the aisle to make the light come back on. Perhaps these lights could stay on a bit longer?

Desk staff could be a little more helpful and friendly. There was no clarity in regards to my move-out. My unit was wet (not soaked) due to rain. The unit size was suffice to keep my stuff for 2 months.

The storage locker leak water and All of the contents of the locker got wet!!! The insurance that I paid for is worthless, the only thing good about my U-Haul experience was Ashley in the office, she was the only person that gave a dam!!! Thanks Ashley, the rest SUCK!!!

Had my personal belongings in there for like 7 months an didn’t take insurance but was also not informed that the storage unit I rented would leak lots of water so when I decided to move out my belongings I came back to a broken glass table picture frames soaked boxes with my family’s personal belongings an a bed which paid almost 2000 dollars for chewed up by mice an mice crap on an in some of my belongings took pictures an thought about getting a lawyer for damage loss due to not being informed it had mice unit an mice crap plus my family stuff destroyed an my bed will never do business with them or u guys again an yes I’m gonna look into a lawsuit unless u guys reimburse me for all months paid in an pain an suffering for my losses an not informing me of the storage unit condition besides the fact I didn’t take storage unit insurance I know my rights an what u guys did or rented to me was wrong

My only complaint is thanks to Covid-19 lockdowns this year, it took a lot longer to sell my home than expected, but throughout the whole process you guys were great and I was able to got back into storage to retrieve the books and crafting supplies that helped keep us sane when we couldn't go anywhere.

I had a reservation for a unit, the staff was very friendly her name was Ashley, however you didn't have a unit for me. All of the units in the building had locks on the first floor but we're not taken out of inventory so I had to scramble and find another location for storage. I never got to move in. I don't know that I would ever use U-haul again. I had a horrible experience getting my truck in South Carolina where you have a remote location that can't pick up GPS running a 24/7 pickup. I then had to drive 49 minutes to the next location to pick up a truck 20 miles outside of my way period then the owner hit the truck off of the gutter coming out to deliver the truck to me. I really think there needs to be more reliability during this time when you're not going to have people at a location on a Friday to hand you keys. I will never use your 24/7, or your online reservation service again. I was extremely disappointed being that I've used U-Haul several times for moving in my past. My entire schedule got messed up because of inconsistency within the U-Haul system. This is a no reflection of Ashley she was very personable and very professional. She even offered to call your Kingston location but by that point I had just about had it and was trying to keep my composure. It was in my best interest to go outside of U-Haul for my storage unit.To say I was disappointed in your company, is an understatement.☹️

The only negative comment that I have is after the WIlkes-Barre Twp facility was damaged by a tornado, being a former police officer in that town, I know there was damage. Trying to get information on my unit was very difficult. Nobody from uhaul reached out to me. It took several days and multiple phone calls to determine all my contents were in fact safe.

The staff here goes above and beyond! I cannot recommend them enough. Ashley and Christian were incredible, I had my car out at their storage facility for a year I wasynt sure if my car would start after sitting so long so they went out and tried it for me before I got there preventing me from having to go back to get a new battery or jumper cables after finding out on my own. Saving extra Uber costs and time. Thank you guys for everything.

units that are supposed to be “ground level” actually have about a 6 inch lip. ground in front of units has not been paved so it is difficult to roll heavier items into unit. office was no help and did not even have ramps to accommodate.
