Truck had caution light on for tire pressure. When I pulled in to drop off truck, I waited like the sign said. No one came so I went inside. The guy that waited on me was the same person that waited on me the day before. He didn't recognize me or ask how everything went. The lady behind the desk said, "you're done. The receipt will be in your email ".she was very abrupt and appeared to busy to pay attention to me. If it was my business I'd work on customer service skills and making people feel welcome.

UHAUL Truck smelled like pee in the front and back. I didn't feel comfortable riding in it and was on a time crunch. I called customer service and reported this to the local branch. The seemed apathetic and said they would "check it out", that's all that was done. I would like a refund for this transaction.

Great experience! The woman behind the counter was very personable and professional, and got me on my way in a matter of minutes. The gentlemen who met us upon our return was extremely friendly and professional, as well. Thanks, and well done!

very very bad experience, the battery terminals were loose, the rear marker lights did not work, and to make matters worse, arriving at the place where we had to load the truck, coolant began to leak from a radiator hose that was broken, and to make matters worse, I to return the truck and they charge me, as if I had occupied it, normally, even the miles I traveled to and from my house to the place where I rented it.

Make sure staff know how to update a reservation. I came into that location in person on and added on an appliance dolly and when I came in to pick up there was no record of it in the system and they didn't have any. I had to go to another location to pick one up.

Trailer renting: Display a message that the towing vehicle must have the brake/signal light connection prior to renting. I didn't have this connection on my SUV; however, I was able to drive a pickup truck to pull the trailer.

Really not a fan of being asked to take equipment to another site for a rebate only for it not to be insured. The cost to insure it almost undoes the rebate. Absolutely dumb.

The young woman who worked inside was wonderful. However, the first truck we got had no gas cap. The second truck we got had the check engine light on for the whole trip, the low tire pressure light came on, and went off several times, and the truck was filthy- the inside had stuff spilled on the dash and steering wheel, there was garbage in the door cubbies; the back had no big garbage, but had little debris/dirt along the edges and in the corners. It definitely needed to be swept or blown out.

Everyone at the Winston-Salem location where I picked up the truck was amazing.

The area for storage unit was dangerous. A homeless guy was in my car digging for something to steal. I was scared and I scared him out of my car.

I reserved with the call center and was not told about paying for mileage. Also the trucks advertise a different rate than what I was charged.

This is a very convenient storage unit. The room I rented was definitely not luxurious, but it was easy and convenient and it got the job done! Was very glad to have it and it made my life so much easier. An added plus is that the staff at this U-Haul are always extremely friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend it. Their U-haul truck & van rentals are flawless at this location as well.

Have the truck ready an hour before pickup time as stated and instead of arguing with the customer JUST say sorry. If I'm already upset I've waited an hour the back n forth only ADDS to my frustration 

Storage was horrible. People living inside and also drug activity when called to report I was told to mind my own business. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and I also reported it. I think this place should be shut down far as the storage part

The Uhaul corporate app needs work. It was easy to find the location and park but the app never loaded to return the truck. We had to use the browser to go through the return steps.

I had equipment issues with the truck. After 5 phone calls to the office for help, I had to drive the truck all the way back (32 miles round trip) to get help. The employee was great at fixing the issue but said she would take care of the mileage. After reviewing the bill, I was only given a credit of 12 miles.

Only time you can get in contact with this location is when you are late on payment lol. Whoever runs this management is a joke. Also requested to speak to their manager as well but haven't heard from him either in about two months but I was told they had two weeks to respond. Needs to be shutdown or under new management asap.

Both attendants were on their personal cell phones when I walked in and appeared disinterested in doing their jobs. They did eventually tell me where to place my keys.

The truck we were assigned was parked on the edge of the lot in the trees. Hard to get into and the handhold in the door was full of water. The appliance dolly I requested in my reservation was not on the truck and was not available. We were give a utility truck and a furniture dolly. There were wet furniture pads (we did not request any) and we found someone else's pillow under the pile.

Everything was excellence but I could not rate the staff because my interaction with them was short. I brought in the truck key and rented equipment and left

The truck rigged of cigarettes. The main cabin was dirty. There was a baby bottle left there. There were personal items left on the back of the truck. Half of the moving pads provided were wet. Hope I don't have to move anytime soon because I don't want to use this service again

The layout of the facility is straight up DANGEROUS. The units are double stacked and the parking is on the street or non existent. Also, some lady was literally screaming and attacking people outside. She was parked in the handicapped spot and chased me. The staff witnessed her do this to several people and just did nothing. Completely incapable of handling the situation.

We had a unit with Uhual for about 2 years. We lived in an apartment during that time and rarely visited the unit. The time before we moved out, there was another lock added by the front office which we were not notified about and when we went to go into our unit they couldn't find the key or break the lock off so we had to buy the tools and do it ourselves. When we finally moved out there was mold all over the wall and got onto some of our belongings. Highly disappointed the facility seemed clean and we should have been notified of any changes.

I had scheduled to return the vehicle at a different location but the storage unit was at yours. The staff were very helpful to switch the drop-off to your location which saved me a lot of hassle and made it stress-free. They were also a great help with advice on the right storage unit for me. Special thanks to Ryan and the lady whose name I did not get (Sunday October 16).

I am being charged for a 10x10. The unit is a 5x10. Also the ceiling in unit is falling and the floor tiles are coming apart and unit should have been sweeped out. I want my unit to say a 5x10. To charge me for a 10x10, is not the size of unit.

Units are nice and secure. Floors clean. Massive rat infestation. I had nothing perishable, no foods or anything of the sort, but had books and other items chewed by rats, covered in rat feces, and even a dead rat laying atop my items. Hopefully never have to use this facility again.

This facility is so bad I would even rate it. Water damage due to leaking room, you access the the second floor through removable stairs, there's water damaged mattresses sitting at the front door, and etc. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY.

I could not use the facility for my needs, which I wish I had known beforehand. I ended up having to discard items I intended to keep. This storage facility is very outdated and should be brought current if you are going to charge current prices. On the other hand, the staff were kind and helpful.

Rented a truck to move heavy furniture expecting to have accessible storage. We asked to see the space when we picked up the truck but we're not allowed until we returned to unload. We were never told until that time that the storage room was 8 feet above floor level accessible only by heavy metal, steep, rolling, stairs making it impossible to carry up heavy large furniture. No other storage was available and we had to make emergency arrangements to store large heavy pieces.

All furniture was ruined with mold in only a few months. I had to pay U haul to ruin my stuff. I got a depreciated value for my items but not refunded for the time it was in there getting ruined I feel U haul owes me 190 for the 2 months rent. Ihad to pay someone to get all personal items out and took me weeks to clean it all. The people were really sweet but said they could not defund my money only the insurance company could do that and the insurance company said no they can't reimburse for anything uhaul billed. This was a nightmare

After our move from Denver and a long exhausting 30 hour road trip broke up into 2 days , the 2 young ladies in Winston-Salem on Marshall st. We're AWESOME!!! Couldn't have ask for more accommodating and friendly service . They were great in assisting us and made us feel like there were no worries and that they would take care of us , and they did ! They both should be commended!!!

The building is deplorable. Mouse traps in the storage unit the size of shoe box. There is animal vomit inside, on top of the one unit that you can see when you are going up the stairs. There is more.

The U-Haul facility on Marshall Street in downtown Winston-Salem is deplorable it is very unsatisfactory.. there is a leak in the roof which made the hallway to my unit flooded on the floor.

All of my stuff was covered in pollen when I went to get it. I can understand a little dust but an inch think layer of pollen over my whole unit was gross.

While the facility appeared safe & secure, it was NOT. My son's unit was broken into and TV stolen and items vandalized. All this with no signs of break-in. Totally inside job.
