NORMANGEORGE WILSONIt would help if there were extra workers to help the customers with furniture if it is only one person alone doing lifting and moving and have no help. I fell from the storage unit and hurt myself pretty bad. Nobody came up to ask me if I was okay or if I had any help. That's the only thing I wish uhaul had.

Yo hice una reservación con mucho tiempo de anticipación para un autotranspor (pickup truck mas trailer) para 3/11/2024 9am, cuando paso a recoger pensé que todo iba a estar listo para recoger, pero la encargada me dijo que sólo tenía el pickup truck y que debía buscar el tráiler en otro lugar, fuí al Bronx a buscar el tráiler después subí a Yonkers a buscar montar mi vehículo cuando terminé bajé mi vehículo en Yonkers tuve que bajar al Bronx nuevamente a devolver el tráiler y luego subir a Yonkers nuevamente a devolver el pickup truck. Cuando calculé, en mi trabajo sólo usé unas 18 millas porque no pude hacer el trabajo completo cómo lo tenía planeado por culpa de U-haul quedarme mal, el resto de millas se usaron haciendo lo que le correspondía hacer a U-haul, también gasté más del doble de gasolina por culpa de U-haul, resumiendo, hoy perdí el día porque U-haul me quedo muy mal, tendré que hacer otro appointment para inspección de mi vehículo porque hoy no pude, espero puedan examinar este caso para que U-haul mejore, gracias.

Other than that the manager on duty was alone and had several customers talking to her at once. She held her composure and was very professional and helpful. I would recommend this location.

Ariel BlancoUpon check in, I provided the desk person my printed out U-Haul receipt with confirmation # and told her "I'm here to pick up my truck". In a very disinterested manor, not even looking in my direction said "click on the last text uhaul sent to your phone". I was confused because I don't understand what texts have to do with my truck. I opened up my texts to the uhaul text. I'm standing there in front of the desk person and she's looking at the computer. after about 30 seconds or so I say "I have the text here" She again replies, very disinterested and almost bothered, and again not looking in my direction "click on it and enter the information" Frustrated I tell her, I don't want to do that. Can you please enter it in the computer for me. She replies that she is not allowed to do that I have to do it myself. I know this is not true because the last time I rented a truck (I rent from the same location often and have had a storage locker there for YEARS) I told them I didn't want to use the phone for that and the SAME DESK PERSON did it for me! I am not happy that desk person has a very disinterested and detached attitude about customer service, is not helpful at all and seems to want me to do her work for her. What if I didn't have a phone? What if my phone didn't have service? What if the screen doesn't work properly (which is the case with my current phone)? Does that mean I can't rent a truck? Of course not. Uhaul would have a process for those without a phone to rent a truck. I feel that if I don't want to use my phone for the rental process, I should not be forced to. If this is the new process and I must do my own check in to rent a truck, I will not be renting from Uhaul any longer. In the meantime, please have Uhaul representatives actually engage with customers and don't make us feel like we are bothering/annoying them by asking them to assist us in the rental process. However, there are many inconveniences for those who frequently use the system. 1) Take a photo of my face every time. 2) Take a photo of my driver's license every time 3) Every time, they ask for information about me and my partner. Very uncomfortable.

VIVIANGREEN REEDProcess of rental was a bit degrading. Asking for 2 people who know me to verify me via telephone was absurd. Once you have my License on File and Valid Credit Card that should be enough. In addition I rented a truck that had leaks in the roof so after getting to me destination I had to deal with multiple wet boxes from all the water that got through because of the rain. I didn't even bother making a complaint

Then at 4 nobody was there when we checked in, so didn't leave store until around 5, and was paying someone $100/hr to just wait for me. Fuel was not the level it claimed to be. Marks on truck not noted elsewhere. Truck had zero shocks. New charges were added for some reason, making total higher, even though I added no services.

There is simply no incentive for the employees to perform basic tasks such as closing an account or printing a receipt. They don't care; care being the operative word. I would never use Uhaul again or recommend someone else.

They look like they take covid seriously with barriers and the charge card units 6 feet away from the staff. I really liked the Yonkers location. At Homefield I've had to go to in 6x to fix my card. I hope the 7th time is a charm. Staff allowed a customer to stay in store without a mask yesterday. Horrible. Please get the Homefield location to take covid more seriously there is a rise coming. And help them with workflow regarding fixing swipe cards. A customer should not have to go back 6x to get the same issue fixed. The Yonkers location has their act together.

Could do a better job with extermination- vermin and insects. After emptying my unit, I found mouse droppings in boxes. The elevator was broken for several days which was a huge inconvenience and no compensation was offered. I had to walk up the stairs with furniture. I would not recommend this facility. The rates increase consistently every year and you're at their mercy.

Its hard to get staff on the phone and if you do get them on the phone, its because they are calling you because you're late on a payment. They'll keep calling back to back till you pick up when they want their money. I've been a customer for years and several times they've done repairs or upgrades and had debris from the ceiling fall all into my unit. I paid my unit late once and they left their lock on my unit for 3 weeks. They charge a "maintenance fee" for cleaning the storage facility but some how debris always made its way in my unit. Especially when they installed the new air units on my floor. This is also not a 24hr access storage facility.
