The disrespect and lack of customer service and professionalism is unacceptable. If this would have been my first time using uhaul I would not have returned. Kari needs to be retrained on customer service as if it was her first day on the job. She doesn't represent the company well.

The Staff was by far the meanest, nastiest, and rudest encounter I've had in a long time. She was yelling and screaming in front of my child all over a miscommunication between another staff member and my friends, she told me to get off the property immediately as if I was doing something illegal. She threatened to revoke my agreement and keep my property. She truthfully refused to remain calm, professional and compassionate as if this was a personal vendetta against me instead of understanding the responsibilities of being in a Leadership position, Please don't hesitate to contact me for more information and evidence of the allegations made by me & the people who witnessed this verbal assault and trauma against me.

I was not able to access unot that was assigned to me when I arrived to because it already had someone else's lock on unit. I called to have another unit assigned but was not able to gwt help from customer service except for them to call manager whom didn't answer.

How y'all have a second floor and no elevator

I reserved a utility dolly, but there was none available to me. I was informed that they were first come, first serve. I was informed that, although I reserved the equipment, it is not certain that it will be available. That should be stated upon rental. I was informed that there would be a lock in the unit. The lock was to be returned to the office or I would be charged. When I returned the locked that I found, their staff was amazed that it was not new. I was looked at as if I was not telling the truth. I brought them the lock that I found. I was also informed that my rental unit was across the street. When it was actually down the street & around the corner. We wasted more gas looking for a rental area across the street

I wish I knew the guys name who is usually at the storage units on Caton Ave. He has locs and a grill. He just always seems to magically appear out of nowhere whenever I need him. I have been so grateful for his presence. I just cleared my storage unit but he would be one of the reasons I would purchase there again. Ralph and the ladies in the office are also very helpful. This location is great!

U-Haul tried to make me pay Rent for June and I moved out in May after paying May’s Rent

Mr Williams seems nice but the experience was horrible. I was leaving town. I could not get into the unit. Every time I call the office I was put on long holds and was told that they were taking care of customers. Excuse me. I am a customer if you had taken care of me initially I would never had to call back. This woman was rude and unprofessional. I left so many messages for the manager. I never received a return call. Poor customer service. The man on-site who attempted to assist me was very nice.

I've always had an outstanding experience with U-Haul in general, whether it be renting a truck for a day or renting a storage unit for a year. The 24 hr access at their S Caton Ave location, at no extra cost, is amazing. The only one like it around. I highly recommend this location the staff is great. Everything is always a breeze and they know their stuff. If I need storage space in the future I'll definitely return! Thanks U-Haul!

The process is a fail. I called2 days before my checking. I was assured that I was at the right location. No one bothered to tell me that the office location was different from the storage. I had to pay additional mileage for the truck. I am not pleased

The restroom really reeks of urine. The smell is unbearable and the door should be locked. I had a lock placed on my unit for now payment however my payment was made and I was told they didn't know why the lock was placed. I waited for 45 minutes for someone to remove the lock. Finally the prices are too high for such small units.

I would like to thank the entire staff at Uhaul storage facility at 2929 Washington Blvd in Baltimore, Md. they are helpful, professional and friendly. A special thank you to, Mr. Ralph Williams, ( I pray I got the name right), he and another employee made sure our transport was secure and Mr. Williams asked us to let him know when we made it to SC, it was a raining day and we made it safely. Thank you for this portion of my service.

The guy that was working at the time was moving super slow. No urgency at all. I spent an hour inside of the UHUAL place just trying to check in so I can get access to my reserved storage. He was an older black male and we also had some technical issues with him scanning my email or sending an a link to my number. My experience too long & complicated and I assumed checking in should be simple and convenient.

I've been charged for the last 5 months for a storage unit I closed out in July with my other 3 units. The. Was threatened that they were going to auction the unit and to their surprise NOTHING was in the unit because I had closed all 4 of the accounts at the same time ‼️ The staff simply did NOT do THEIR job properly ‼️

When the agents say 24 hours access, have them clarify that it is just for subsequent access to storage unit, not for initial access. I was not given this detail, therefore I showed up at a time when office was already closed and could not check-in to access my unit. This caused me substantial additional expenses.

I love the security methods with the area and codes access. If your not in the correct corridors you won't be granted access.

My debit card was stolen, and I couldn't get off of work in time to make a payment at the office because the hours did not line up with the hours of both of my jobs. Because of this, I was charged an additional 50$ and locked out of my storage unit despite having the money simply because I couldn't pay online with my bank account information or in store with a Google Pay. The storage facility itself, while secure, often had the larger doors locked and made it hard for me to move any large furniture in, and staff was never around despite multiple calls and attempts to reach them despite it being during reasonable hours that I would reach out to them. The facility itself was rarely ever clean, with abandoned furniture scattered throughout and not addressed. And the lack of carts/elevators made using the upper floors a huge hassle. My experience, from storing items to paying for said storage, was overall negative and I will avoid doing business with U-Haul storage again in the future.

Office never pick up the phone nor answering their call attendance box from the storage to get access code to get it, eventhough they have 8 manitors! I Had to go to the office to get it. Calling reps takes forever to talk to someone also. Always short staff.

We were unable to access the storage unit we paid for as there was a lock on it and staff had gone home. Wasted a chunk of our uhaul moving truck rental time as we could not unload the items that night but had to wait until the following morning. Not a single staff member showed an inking of common concern which was made worse as I had two young children.

The reason that I will not give Excellent is because, it is a major reason, the sliding glass door has only worked twice the entire time that I have had my things there which is since 2020. That is soooooo frustrating to have gathered all your belongings either going into the facility or coming out of it, and the sliding door DOES NOT open. To have to fight with that other door that doesn't slide open, and the cart full of items is sooooo inconvenient, frustrating, and causes you to have to exert energy and strength that us middle aged people do not have. This is the only problem I had with the facility. However, it is a Major problem for me. Please, please correct this issue, and make sure that the sliding doors work all the time. I was absolutely shocked that the sliding door worked on the last day that I used the facility which was yesterday. I wasn't even going to attempt to use the sliding door because I just knew the sliding door would not open. However, as I was placing your cart back in its place, the sliding door opened. I wish that was the case my entire time accessing the storage facility since 2020. Again, outside of that one frustration, I would still recommend your facility.

There were 2 dead mice and so much mice droppings on my furniture and in my clothing. They ate through bags and I had to throw away a lot of my clothing. I will be contacting Uhaul today.

Had issues with getting my unit because of U-Haul protocols. Needed a unit immediately Talk to a representative booked a unit only to find out it was only a reserve.then had to give my credit card information three more times. Stood in front of U-Haul for 4 and 1/2 hours on two phones one phone stayed on holed with the elevator music for an hour,BUT the representative that did answer took every step and stayed on the phone for an hour with me trying to figure something out Didn't get my truck unloaded until 24 hours later which costs more money,more help,more gas ,more time. The truck and storage establishment where excellent.

The code provided for the key lockbox was incorrect. The representative on-site didn't have a master key and was also unable to unlock the box using a code. I was offered a box truck as a substitute however by the time the transfer to that vehicle was complete, over an hour had passed from my original reservation time. I was required to pay movers for that time to sit in front of my house waiting for a truck. Because I chose to rent with Uhaul, the cost of my move yesterday was significantly higher than budgeted. I'm extremely disappointed with this experience.

This is the worst customer service experience that I've had in quite a while. Uhaul has in my mind been the standard for moving and storage. Just had a big move, rented a truck and got a "free" month of storage. So I took it just in case. Bad idea. They tried to sell me an insurance fee that was "policy" but was not on the agreement for the "free" storage unit. About 10 days after my move I used the email they provided to inquire about canceling because I didn't need it. No one responded. I emailed twice afterward, still no response. Then I called in about a week or so later, talked with someone and asked to cancel. I explained that I had never visited the storage unit and didn't need it which they can confirm both by camera and in their system because I never used the code they provided to let myself in to the unit. She said it would be taken care of that day. Not done, no confirmation email. Then I received an email a day ago stating that I would be charged if I didn't respond by the end of the month. I called and was told that I had "moved in" and someone needed to check me out. Again, never stepped foot on the facility. They said someone was going to verify right then. So I drove here because I didn't trust that. Sure enough, the guy who was supposed to have gone didnt. He was still at the office and had no idea about my situation. That was Ralph the Manager. So I explained again and he said he would drive out to check. He said that if there was a lock, sometimes their employees put one on there if they knew it was rented. Waited here for over an hour. He got back and said there was a lock on it but they hadn't put it on and suggested that it was mine. I again explained that I had never been to the facility. He said they would need to cut the lock. Still waiting another hour. They do have cameras, why would I lie about never having been there? Seems like it shouldn't be that hard. Not happy. My recommendation, never come here. Never buy the "free" line. Boo uhaul. Any guesses as to what will happen next or how long I'll be here? #negativestar Update: another hour down the drain. Still shouldn't be that hard. Final update: confirmation of my "move out" achieved after a few hours. Turns out they gave me a unit that still had someone else's stuff in it. Since I had never been there I had no idea. It was complete with an unopened mailed package with the other persons info on it. Vindication? Perhaps, but I still lose, cause I'll never get that time back. Thank you uhaul.

I knew that i wouldnt make it in time from Pittsburgh Pa to Baltimore Maryland. My brother went and signed the papers for me to be able to get the unit. They worked with me and gave me a first floor unit. Merci.

Two weeks later I'm still wasting all my clothes that was completely covered with mice droppings. I had to throw away a lot of my belongings because they were either damaged from the mice shredding them or completely covered in poop. Also, I keep getting emails and phone calls about a balance when my storage was suppose to be a month free due to renting a uhaul truck

I cancelled my storage unit on the second day of having the unit. I was told I was getting an outside unit. The unit was inside and not the size I needed. After canceling the unit I did not receive a refund and the unit was reopened instead of cancelled out like I wanted. I received a second bill for the unit and didn't use the unit at all. Ralph was able to assist me with this error and I am still awaiting my refund.

The location and their manager Ralph is completely unprofessional. I would never rent here again just based off the poor customer service. They failed to closed my account three times after I moved out and I continued to get billed. I kept contacting them but nobody fixed it. Manager Ralph was so nonchalant about the waste of my time. No apology or empathy shown at all. He couldn't even send me a real receipt for proof the account was closed. He sent me an email with two words that literally said "room closed". What a joke. I had to call corporate to get a real receipt. This location is just ghetto. Don't even bother calling, they'll just put you on hold for 20-30 mins and hang up or forget about you.
