The associates at the uhaul location were very professional and helpful. The truck was in pristine condition and worked very well. I drove it from Washington state to North Carolina with zero maintenance issues. The only downside was that I was called the day off my reservation and had to drive 45 minutes to pick it up. This was an extreme inconvenience and very last minute. I had movers at my residence which made it even more of an hassle. Other companies such as Penske will move the truck to a location near the customer. The fact that I was told that this couldn't be done was definitely a disappointment.

The pad lock for the rolling door didnot work. Lucky for me, I had a local rental and was able to go back to the store and they gavemea lock to use for the rental.

Billy, the manager was absolutely excellent. Fantastic customer service. She corrected a hugh mistake that Uhaul personnel had me to drive more than 2 hours out of the way to deliver truck when in fact there was a Uhaul closer. Billy fixed it and helped us as we did not understand why this happened. Also the movers were from Olympia, Washington they were absolutely excellent

I think. You? Should be able to take multiple credit cards for payment and not just? One. Cash and one credit it really made it a hassle to. Pay my balance. So guide I think that would be a big help pitch you could have multiple. Payments on the same bill. I multiple cards for payment on the same bill. Period I love you U-haul.!!

I booked a one-way move with a 15' UHaul online for a move from Olympia WA to Lindsay, OK. Everything was fine. We got to the location and were told that 15' trucks were not allowed for one-way rentals. We insisted and were finally given a truck. The truck was dirty inside and out. Dog hair in the cab, windsheild splotched with bird poop. We loaded and made the 2400 mile drive. Truck ran great, but the last two hours, we encountered heavy rain. The truck leaked both over the "Grandmother's attic, and back right. Our couch, pillows, linens and furniture was wet when we unloaded yesterday. We were told we would have to file a claim online to get any assistance. I paid for insurance but don't have time to fight with you or your insurance company. I will simply vote with my wallet. Not a good experience. I have used Penske in the past, and for the next move, and anything between now and then, it will be Penske.

James - the person who installed my hitch, brought to my attention a potentially dangerous issue with my hitch receiver, and made the necessary changes to make it right. I appreciate this level of service very much.

U-Haul should have a policy similar to every other major rental company that requires customers to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas or pay to have it filled. My vehicle had only 1/4 tank of gas when I checked it out! It's very difficult to return with exactly the same amount! On a 60 gallon tank, the additional cost to me is high if I overestimate how much to pump when I am returning the vehicle.

Cluster of a checkout experience. Gentleman quoted 69 a mile and was charged 79 instead. Windshield is filthy couldn't see out of it safely in the sunshine. Not a good experience!!!

The entire staff was friendly and helpful every time I went in. During a stressful move I needed help navigating boxes, rental trucks, locks, and everything else that goes with it. They were calm and patient and provided me with exactly the items I needed. The lady that runs this location was very rude and even when I told her that all the extra days that I had been comped due to the storm and traveling across country, she told me that there's no way that they could have been all comped for free that she just knew that I needed to pay some type of fees and that I was gonna have to pay something she should be fired and was very rude it's people like her that will give your company a bad name. She was very helpful once she seen that I wasn't gonna stand for her pushing me around and then I knew what I was talking about and then I could back it up prior to that I think she thought she was gonna run all over me and charge me all types of fees and extra money left a bad taste in my mouth for Uhaul

Except the competition blows uhaul out of the water, especially this particular older location(Olympia - 4th ave/Martin Way) It is cold, hard to access, bad layout, small units, and all this for $30/month more than the competitors. We should have left a year ago!

The staff working on 1/28/2023 at the Uhaul on 4th ave was great help! We were the goobers who showed up an hour before close and needed another unit in addition to the one we reserved. Staff set us up, were super nice, even seemed to be having fun themselves. What a welcome place to walk into at the end of a stressful moving day where things have been going wrong and getting behind all day. Thanks so much to them.

Nice staff. But my unit was up 7 stairs, then down 2, then up 2, then up 1. Pretty inconvenient. And the height of unit wasn't as tall as advertised. There are also a fair amount of hidden fees, though all storage facilities seem to have hidden fees.

I was never shown the unit before I rented it. Two days later when I went to the unit to pack it, I found it was smaller than I expected and needed, definitely not what I was told I was renting. So after two days I canceled my contract and was told I'd be out for the money of the full month rent because "that's how we do it here, no refunds". I'll never have anything nice to say about the UHaul storage units.

Very inconvenient location, hard to load in and out of room. Had to leave vehicle unsecured and walk up and down stairs to put stuff in the storage room. Parking is not close to units. No light in storage room, had to used flashlight on phone. Bolts were sticking out of the door, they tore through two of my shirts and scratched my back. There are people living in the storage units. Definitely a sketchy area. Much nicer storage units for less money in the area. No prorated refund upon leaving, just paid for another month on the 7th (about 140 for a small unit), moved out on the 9th, nothing credited back.

The employee helping me was doing her best to assist, but she had been dealt a bad hand. I showed up with a reservation for a storage unit, but the whole hallway of units had been freshly painted and I couldn't move in, couldn't empty the trailer that was scheduled for return that day, and ended up wasting a lot of time and fuel. They did extend my trailer reservation at no cost, which I appreciate. Hopefully, move-in today will go more smoothly.

The size of the units are not as stated. They have low points and odd shapes making it impossible to get some items in them. If I rent a 15 foot truck you should have a unit to fit that cubic feet inside a unit. The stairs to the unit went up about 9 steps. The hall then went about 5 steps forward, then down 3 steps. Then forward about 6 feet, then back up 3 steps. That hall is treacherous especially for someone with mobility issues carrying heavy household objects. My reservation for for a ground floor unit. I was issued a different unit by the clerk, so they do not appear to be able to read a reservation. They one thing they did right was be polite and issue 2 small units free to make up the difference. It was very difficult to access the facility because their is only one street side access point and it was in use by someone. I had to wait for them to unload. I had to nose out into 4 lane traffic to back in. Dangerous. There was a rat poison bait box inside one of the units. Is my stuff safe from infestation?

With the exception of one staff member, everyone there was very helpful, supportive, and hospitable. There was a gentleman working outside (I think he was checking in returned vehicles and overseeing the lot) who I felt was condescending and made me feel stupid. The friendly people at the counter directed me outside after finishing payment and registration, and told me my truck number. I had my key, and went out to find it. I (wrongfully) assumed that my truck would logically not be one of the blocked in trucks in the lot, seeing as how I had just paid and was ready to leave to start my move. I couldn't find my truck, since I was just checking the front row of them. In my mind, why would I get a truck key for a truck that I couldn't get out of the lot? The trucks were parked in about a 6 x 3 setup. Mine happened to be a truck trapped in the middle of them. I tried to get assistance from this male staff member who was outside, and without even looking up from what he was doing, told me it was right there, and he seemed frustrated that I was so inept and couldn't complete the simple task of finding my own truck. He obviously didn't feel like being much help, so I looked harder. It was then that I found my truck, blocked in, in the middle of this rectangle of trucks. How does it make sense that my truck would be trapped in by the others? You just gave me the key expecting me to pull off of the lot. And this guy was making me feel dumb for not being able to find it? There was a family also searching for their truck as I finally found mine. This male staff member seemed oblivious and/or apathetic to both the plight of this family as well as my own struggles. I got into my trapped-in truck, as this lost family realized that their truck was the one blocking mine in. I don't blame them for this issue though. That male staff member should have cared and been perceptive enough to realize that it was taking an inappropriately long time for two sets of customers to find their rigs, and came over to help us. Even if he thought we were idiots, you're in a customer service business. After getting my truck out of that puzzle-box, I pulled it around to the loading area. I should also mention that this was the same guy who escorted me to my new storage space. En route on foot, he asked me which unit we was mine. I didn't know. He commented on how it made him worry that (or something along those lines) I didn't even know what number unit I had. Sir, I had JUST paid. For a unit that I only signed up for because your associates had offered me a free first month if I did. Ok, I agree, I should know what unit I had just rented. But you didn't know either, and you were the staff member ESCORTING me to that very unit. You didn't know either, and I felt it was very inappropriate for you to have commented on that to me. If I'm a customer, and I'm not doing harm, you don't let those opinions out in a blaze of glory in your attitude towards us. It made me feel bad and not want to work with you anymore. Overall, my uhaul experience this time was pleasant, and I was really happy to have those services available in my community. My experience with this one staff member shouldn't inhibit other people from patronizing this uhaul's services. I wasn't even going to say anything, but Uhaul just emailed me and asked me to fill out a survey about my experience. So, I'm just trying to be honest. I would definitely use this specific Uhaul facility again. I'll just stay away from this one grumpy guy. Maybe he was having a bad day or something, but I'm already stressed out from the move. Please don't add to that stress.

Very friendly and helpful staff. This facility has a very small parking/loading area, but this never posed a problem with us, and we accessed our storage unit very regularly. The small loading zone was always empty and available for us to park and load but I could imagine a scenario where it would be too small for more than one car or especially more than one U-Haul truck.

This Uhaul storage is secure, heated, and somewhat well lit. My only complaint was no lights in the unit itself, and the hallway lights are on a timer that is way too quick to shut off the lights.

I was never able to access my unit. They were busy the day I started my rental so they never took their lock off. I paid for 1 month of rental and never even saw the unit

My rent was paid every month on the 13th. I cleaned out my unit and turned the keys in the same day. I was told that I would be issued a refund for the rent that was paid - but I have not received it.

The storage area smelled of some type of rodents ..a cashier said there was a cockroach in the drawer when giving my change back. I also felt like the units were a little pricey. Otherwise no problem

The only thing I encountered in 2 months of storage unit rental was a lackadaisical attitude concerning the big main sliding doors to the storage building. They were never open and ready at start-up.

Andrea especially and other staff were great despite our arrival just before closing on a hectic Sunday. Storage units are awful with no lighting and large unit in three tiny sections & low ceiling

This U-Haul location was great. The staff were friendly, accommodating and pro-active about making sure to get the details of my complicated out of state move right. After hours drop off was great.

They have a great staff. If someone didn't know an answer, they could contact a manager quickly to get an answer. I would recommend this business to others for storage and moving supplies.
