I have no complaints or criticisms - very friendly staff and definitely well trained on hooking up the hitch and safety chains. My experience was very satisfactory which was a nice surprise after a recent trailer rental in Beaverton at another UHAUL franchise!

Great location except you can't turn left out onto main road. Staff were very attentive & friendly. Getting the reserved truck was quick & easy. The steering wheel was off by a lot. Returning the truck was quick & easy. Definitely would use again.

Fast and capable service. The truck I rented was reliable and predictable....made a days' work go smoothly. When I dropped off the vehicle, I was again promplty assisted and quickly served. There is nothing negative! I will recommend this location and the personnel to others.

When I originally booked the yhaul truck we asked for a tow dolly in addition in the case my car didn't sell before the move. 2 days before we left from AZ to OR Uhaul called to tell me the tow dolly was not in the city I requested but 45 min away, if I wanted it. Having 1,5 hours of free time when clearing out 2 large storage units is next to impossible with only myself & a friend. Happily, I sold my car the next day. So, I canceled the tow dolly which unbeknownst to me, canceled my entire registration. Called Tigard office, to make sure I had a unit to unload the day we arrived. Uhaul agent had to redo everything and assured me it was locked in. The following morning at 4am I got an email that said, "sorry you decided not to use our facilities for storage, was it something we did?" I called the gal back the next say after reading my info was messed up again. I arrive at 115?? Sw pacific Hwy and they can't find my reservation, again. I looked thru emails with confirmation #s and still, I wasn't in the system. They used my email after 40min not finding me on the system. They tried my email & found it. Meanwhile my sister, brother in law drove in from out of town to help inload, were waiting in their car for me and my friend who drove the truck. They give me a swipe card for the gate and locked up as it was after 5pm on a Sunday. We got in, unloaded & then we're LOCKED INSIDE THE STORAGE AREA BEHIND THE GATE. The gate ended up having a mechanical error, so it was over an hour of idling in the rain, burning Uhaul gas. 1-800 called roadside assistance & tried to open gate electronically but that failed. So they called the GM at home & asked him to come & manly unlock it. He did. Wasn't the friendliest bloke around. Took Uhaul truck key from me after I said I'd be back tomorrow to fill it with gas. He told me I was not allowed to park where the gal told me I could the night before. Told me his staff knows better than to do that. Yet, I'm jist all Learning this from him after talking at length to a very helpful agent in Tigard. I have no more energy to continue the events that happened. I was quoted $17** for the move price and when I used my sister credit card, it bumped up to $19**. It was a miserable trip back in the rain, unloading in the pouring rain. My things will most certainly get moldy if I don't dry them off. Returning to the uhaul was a nightmare being locked in. We waved down passers-by and asked them to try to scan the gate card & nothing. I will most likely use another moving rental truck company in the future.

The check-out and check-in process went very smoothly. The two gentlemen involved were helpful and used their time efficiently. It would be nice if there were better accommodations to leave a vehicle there while gone with the equipment, but that certainly doesn't reflect on the business operation.

This was the worst experience I have had. The equipment was dirty inside, I had to put a sheet down on top of the gross stuff in order to load my mattress and other furniture. Also, the transmission was horrible, it wouldn't engage at times, then struggled to shift, as well as once it was going, I would take my foot off the gas and it would continue to race forward. This van should have never been rented out. There is no Parking either so I had to cross a very busy street to park my car. I will go somewhere else next time. I have used this location before and chose this location over another because the equipment has always been clean and in great working order, however as I just said due to parking, and the condition of the equipment I probably won't be back.

I reserved for after hours pickup. When I got there and loaded the app it found my reservation and said there was no equipment assigned to my reservation. I had to wait until they opened, while paying my help to stand around because I couldn't pickup the truck when I reserved it for. The gentleman behind the counter said they don't offer that service. I was really frustrated.

I recommend this U-Haul on SW Pacific Hwy. I stored my furniture with them for several years and was very pleased with the facility and the convenience of the location. I also liked the ability to purchase boxes and other items that were helpful for moving and storage.

The equipment drop off location is on a major slant/hill. When returning my equipment the trailer began sliding down said hill and would have collided with uhaul property. I was hardly able to keep it from rolling down the hill. Unlikely I will be utilizing this location again due to the inconvenience of the layout.

If you change the location of drop off you should pay us a fee. We wasted time and gas going somewhere else, but if I as a customer had returned the the wrong place you would have charged me. This is bullshit and the last time I use haul. I'll pay a little more for better maintained trucks and real service.

On some days they closed earlier (maybe Sunday?) and I couldn't access my storage unit, as you can only access during open hours. But this is also nice to have, as there is always an employee on site. Mike was extremely helpful and very kind!!

Grim customer service. Not a smile insight. If only they didn't;t have to deal with customers everything would be better for them. U-haul in general has a huge customer experience problem. The West 7th location in Eugene is a rare example.

The only pick up truck they had smelled so badly of cigarettes that I had to drive with windows open and I was freezing. I am extremely sensitive to cigarette smell/smoke and my throat has been extremely irritated since driving this truck.

We've rented three cargo vans from this location in the last 2 weeks. The first two times went flawlessly and the only thing I noticed was the second van wasn't washed and the outside was kinda grimey. This 3rd time I requested one of the Ford Transit vans upon arrival, like I had on the previous rentals. I was told some were available and I could have one. I was given a Dodge van instead, which wouldn't have been a big deal except I was unaware of the higher clearance and that it wouldn't fit in the parking structure I needed to go in. I also rented a dolly and I assumed it would already be in the vehicle as my previous rentals had been. So I had to incur the added mileage and time to go back and get it. Plus this van was dirty inside and out, literally dried mud inside, but not a lot. In the end the job got done and I will just have to remember to double check the fine details next time.

I filled the gas up higher than I picked it up at and was still charged for 2 gallons. My mileage use was lower than expected and they charged me a gas fee to avoid giving me a refund. Conveniently, the charges were exact to one another so I did not receive my rightful refund.

There was a sign outside that said to drive the truck there to check it back in and an employee would be out, stay in the vehicle. I waited 5 minutes, no one came, I went in, employee sitting and no customers, not on the phone etc. So take the sign down if no one is coming out

My uhaul was almost towed with all of my stuff in it because I was rented a truck that had plates apparently reported as stolen. I literally stopped the driver right as he was about to pull off. Than upon return I was charged 3x the amount of miles that google maps says I went. If you rent from here double check that your mileage is accurate. I had to submit a photo of my milage but apparently the people before me didn't have to...

Asked for dolly and furniture cushion. Rep provide both on hand while the rented vehicle already had both. Moreover, having two dolly caused one of the folly to be not secured and moved a lot while driving.

The truck was clean and the staff were good. The unfortunate part was the truck work down, and it took like 7 hours to get the truck towed. When we arrive to this location, the store closed. No information was transfer to them from the roadside assistant.

Do NOT rent from this location. The gate hours are terrible, they made my 2 years of renting from there the WORST it could ever be. They one month after paying my 214 then they sent me a late payment notice and when I called to find out why, it was because THEY had credited my 214 to someone else's card which was verified by my bank who also was on this call and to this day I still have NOT received that payment back. I also discovered they have rodents in the storages since there is rodent droppings and clothes with chew marks everywhere ruined so much of my stuff. The GM won't ever talk to you no matter why you call and he will note your file negatively with no exceptions and won't tell you. WORST TWO YEAR EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!

I received a reservation confirmation after arranging it by phone. When I showed up to start the rental on the morning of my move, I was told that the size locker I had reserved (the largest) was not available and I would have to rent a different size. I reserved one slightly smaller and wound up squeezing the items in so that there's not nearly the access to remove individual items that would've been possible with the size I had reserved. My overall rating of "average" is meant to express a midpoint between being extremely unhappy about the false reservation, and the manager trying to be helpful to make things work out for me. The reason I would not recommend U-Haul to somebody else is because I was told there has been an ongoing problem of the reservation center making reservations that the local facility could not keep. Therefore, it would be a risk to recommend U-Haul to anyone.

Door on my unit was a little bent and the area to place the lock did not line up. Needs better maintenance between tenants. I only needed the unit short term but longer term I would have been more diligent about getting a unit that was easier to get my lock in and out of.

The storage unit is perfect for my needs. Only issue I had is the metal flaps where you place the lock do not line up properly so it was hard to get the lock in. I think it needs to be repaired, but other than that everything went well.

I used the storage for many years. Always felt my stuff was safe, secure, and dry and it was. When I finally moved out I saw no telltale signs of rodents, spiders, damage, or theft. Whenever rates were raised ample notice was given. Employees were always friendly, helpful, professional. I would use this location again.

This facility is obviously lacking attention to preventative maintenance as well as repairs of know issues. The folks are great, I have utilized the uhaul for Tow hitches and trailer and moving truck rentals. but the storage area is straight hood. peace out

Very very expensive. $286 for a 10x15 was ridiculous. My friend pays $145 for the same size storage locker and within 3 blocks of your store. I guess you got me, but only for 1 month. Never again!!! Never again!!!!

There was sufficient lighting in the hallway but no lights inside my unit. I could see well enough from the light shining in from the hallway as long as I had the door wide open. Luckily, my storage neighbors didn't need to do anything with their units whenever I was there, because my door completely blocked their doors. I was very happy with the security of my unit.

My experience with the employees at this location was excellent. My only disappointment was learning the access is restricted to office hours. The website indicated access until 10:00 pm.

The lock that I purchased from them was bent however that was not their fault and they can't control that sort of thing. I got locked out of my storage unit due to the lock not working but I finally got it open and they gave me a temporary replacement until they fix the door a unit which is what they said the issue was. However they said they would fix the door but they did not ask for my storage unit number

The times that your only open till is hard for people who have there work tools in storage and only take what they need for that day and don’t have time to drop off stuff and get things for the next job if I would have realized this I never would have spent my money here when others are open till at least 10 pm I thought this place went back to 24 hrs so I probably won’t stay here and waste my hard earned money when the hrs suck

The woman who helped me with my storage unit yesterday was fabulous!! (Brown hair and a tattoo on her forearm). She was so patient and thinks outside of the box! She was able to help me change my reservation so I was able to get more storage space for less money :) absolutely impressed by her customer service!

Should have told me that there was an option larger than 10x15 before I unloaded half of a 26 ft truck. Especially when I said I have a full 26 foot truck to unload. It wasn't until I walked up to the office and said I need another 10x15. But great for upselling. Unfotunately, I will go somewhere else next time unless I am refunded for one of them. Also if i rent a truck I would not expect blankets and a dolly in it taking up space that i need in a truck.

The hours were not convenient, no reason why I can not access my unit at any time. The doors to the unit area had no way to hold them open and one of the doors would not open. The ground before entering the unit section was very rough pavement making it difficult to use a dolly. There was a truck with a flat blocking one side of the pavement that was there for at least two days.

I left over 15 messages and could not get anyone to call me back. This location need to be under new management and staff needs to be retrained by someone who cares about customer service. The national customer service was amazing and I appreciate their support but the location was rude when I was in person and did not answer emails or voicemails. After I moved out they did not do a walk through until 10 days later. Someone moved junk into my unit. Does not make the facility feel secure. Luckily I used a professional moving company and had evidence that everything was removed from my unit. No one from the location called to inform me about things in the unit. It took over 15 phone calls and 2 months to find out. Thank goodness for the national customer services team that went above and beyond to solve the issue.

I will be leaving this review on Google where I'm in the top 10 % of reviewers and have hundreds of thousands of views of my reviews an photos. I had a terrible experience and so much of it was poor management and decisions made by Uhaul Staff, especially at this location. I was supposed to drop off and store at the Aloha location. They would not reserve a unit over the phone and when I arrived and waited in line, he told me I can get a unit in Tigard. By this time traffic was bad to get there, once I did, there was confusion and it took time to get my Truck and AT figured out. First when arriving and attempting to park and go in, I was told by outside staff to go down to the lower parking lot to take my car off, but this was before I had checked in. Once I went down there I had no idea what to do or where to go or how to do this as there is no designated area . When i came back up then i was given better instructions from staff inside. I was given a unit too small. They also required me to back up my trailer to park it which took extra time because I'm not experienced and staff kept telling me to wait before I could park because drivers and vans kept coming in. Then it took even MORE time with staff Making me wait for other cars and trucks to come in (which i was in the way of I guess?). He could have had those later customers wait, especially because then this caused a big line to form before me to get my actual unit. By this time I did not have enough time to move my stuff into too small of a unit. I requested more time because of the mixups, I work at night and cannot wake up early to deal with this but now am forced to go and finish this process at 8am so I can get the truck back in time. This was not given to me. Ther process for a single person to move into the unit was terrible. I had to hold onto big items on a dolly that kept jiggling on the rough pavement right before the door and throwing off my stuff, while I had to swipe to get in the door every time, and struggle to hold the door open to get things In and then worry the door was open too long for the temp control and kept seeing the $150 fine warning. Added to this, there is not a smooth transition for the Dolly's to cross the threshold which makes it even harder for me to get things in. The door that swings open forces you right into the big dots on the floor where the cart goes, but this is in the way and makes getting the cart in even MORE difficult. When dropping off vehicle, I got no confirmation that the process was done and ensue proper payment. Just told to drop off keys and leave. I asked to speak with a manager to mention all of this,, as this form suggests speaking to management to fix issues or concerns, but the associate told me it will take time to find him and I am done waiting for Uhaul Staff to take up more of my time when I should be sleeping. This could all have been done yesterday had uhaul Staff not created such a mess and delay for me. I will never use UHaul again after this experience yesterday and today.

The online/phone representatives have been great. The young people at the pickup location (WA) seemed a bit overwhelmed, but the older guy appeared to be competent and held it all together. I've been to the Tigard location more than once. The folks here have been very, very helpful. They're great. I plan to do business with them again.

The storage facilities were well maintained. The issue I have is: I had to pay an extra months worth of storage rent when I got the very few belongings I had which was a tarp and my lock. I had to quarantine due to Covid exposure so I couldn't gain access to my storage unit the day after my last day to get which I did not know you had to get it prior to payment date. Is there a way I can get a refund?

The access hours were less than flexible and if I had done my homework, and I acknowledge this is on me, I would have chosen a different 24/7 storage unit. After having to push my moving date back a day to work with the storage unit hours, upon arrival the door was jammed and we were not able to get in. It took about 30 minutes to find a solution and we moved to a unit in a different building. Richard was wonderful and did everything he could, its just really unfortunate that it happened and on a day that was 110 and after feeling inconvenienced already. After a long day I asked to drop the Uhual truck off at the Tigard location, rather than the Beaverton location, and they were very accommodating. I really appreciate their flexibility.

Staff was great and have a storage spot is always nice but the concrete outside the buildings is really rough and pocketed which made moving things in and out more difficult then it should be. Stuff was rattling right off the cart. There also a large dip right at the front door that you have to shove or pull hard to get over. Again more stuff falling off the cart. Also its a pain in the But trying to hold the doors open going in and out. The first month free was the reason I chose this uhaul storage facility and I would still do it again despite the incoviences.

So disappointed with this company. The doors and gates to the storage unit was sometimes just left open. My unit was broken into twice. When I mentioned one of the break-ins to the woman working behind the desk, she was extremely rude and didn't pass on my break-in to a manager so I had to go back in person. I lost some items very dear to me and the manager suggested that maybe someone I knew might have broken into the unit. Outrageous. I can't image a worse experience with a storage unit company.

Online it says access hours are until 10pm, we showed up around 3pm began unloading our 26ft Uhaul. At approx 4:20 I went to ask if there was about her unit we could rent at which point I was informed that we would not have access after 5pm. At that point so much of our stuff had been unloaded because we thought we had access until 10pm that we could not have put stuff back in the truck any faster if we had wanted to. The staff was extremely rude. When I commented that the website said access hours were until 10pm staff simply said we don't make the website. We became locked in, no staff even came to see if were were still down there, we had no way of getting out we had finished literally throwing stuff in our truck at 5:06pm. I would never recommend this store to anyone. The customer service was atrocious.

The temporary access hours are a little inconvenient due to my work schedule, I assume those are COVID related though, so no big deal. I felt like my stuff was safe, and that's all that really matters to me. The trailer return was quick and easy, and that free month of storage was perfect for my situation; it ultimately was the reason for me choosing uhaul.

I moved into unit 108 on 04/22/21 and the employee who took care of me was beyond excellent! I wish I could remember her name, but unfortunately I am terrible with names. Regardless, her customer service, attitude, and service were superb. Not all U-Haul storage locations are created equal, I have used many, and this was the best service I have ever received! I will be going out of my way to use SW Portland U-Haul in the future because of her!

I originally reserved a 10' x 20' unit. A staff person at the location "un-reserved" the unit and rented it to someone else. Mr. Hall arranged to substitute a 7' x 23' unit, which ended up working out fine. Mr. Hall did an excellent job in this part of the transaction. Other staff members were very courteous and helpful.

I had rented a Uhaul truck to move the remaining items that were in my storage. I ended moving these items that were left in my storage unit by myself, items such as a washer/dryer and Huge wall hanging pictures. I have emphysema causing me to stop several times cause I was having a hard time breathing. By the time I was done securing my belongings in the Uhaul truck it was after hours and I could not get out of the gate. I called the 800 number for Uhaul and got the answering service apparently, they got ahold of the general manager. The general manager told the answering service to tell me he's not going to open the gate and if I called the police to get out I would get it for trespassing. I informed uhaul's answering service that I have emphysema and I don't have an extra inhaler with me and could she try to get ahold of someone to let me. She eventually was able to get ahold of someone who providered her with a gate cade to get out. I would never recommend this business to anyone, not even my worst enemy! ABSOLUTELY THE WORST STORAGE FACILITY!

Worst customer service experience I've had in years. Moving is already stressful enough and the Tigard uhual location made things much worse.this is what happened: -when given a log in for the gate and a storage locker, it was put under the name "craigger hall" and not my name, I had to get this all fixed which took an extra hour. -the original locker I was given was broken. The door was sagging and the lock wouldn't align with the holes, so you couldn't close the door. So I had to completely move out from 307 to 309, which took another extra hour. -when I called to make a hitch appointment I was scheduled for the upcoming Monday. I called that morning to confirm my noon appointment and they said it didn't exist, so they rescheduled. When I called the day before they still didn't have it on the calendar, when I looked at my reservation it was for Little Rock, AR, not Tigard Oregon, had to reschedule a 3rd time and this took more time. I asked 3 times that they make sure my storage locker rental would terminate on the 23rd, each time they said no problem, then I get an email 8 days after the 23rd saying to remember to pay for my locker rent on the 8th, meaning it never got canceled. The tigers staff seemed annoyed rather than apologetic. I completely understand why the Tigard location has 2,3 stars on google and assume that rating will continue to plummet. All and all, you guys made life more stressful, your equipment was dirty and broken, and your staff is unhelpful and poorly trained. I will go out of my way to make sure no one ever uses your location.

Everything was great. I did have some issues getting into the building initially but that was resolved. And at the end of my time, I checked with the office staff and closed things out (recorded in the computer) but was charged for an extra month. It took returning to the location because I couldn't get through on the phone. Once there, it was easy to resolve, but having already moved away it was a huge pain.

Huge stain in the middle of the room, I don't know what it is. Some sort of green substance. Sticky and mildew on the walls. Water leaks into the room. Huge beam in the middle of the room that takes away storage space. Hallway is not maintained and it advertised as climate control unit, not even close. It's so cold in the unit and inside the building I have to wear my winter coat. They supposed heating units are so covered by mold And dirt ,I am not sure when the last time they changed the filters. Filthy and not sanitary.

I lost my credit card once and a staff member went above and beyond to help me look for it. He went and looked at cameras, he looked in the store, he looked outside, HE EVEN HELPED ME LOOK IN MY CAR!! If I ever need storage again, I will 100 % be coming back!

I moved 10 hours to Portland without knowing anything about the area the facility was located at. The U-Haul facility was great, well located, easy in an out and the units were clean. One month free was a huge bonus and I stayed another without feeling a money pinch. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking to store their stuff.

The facilities were secure and clean and we felt safe storing our belongings at this location. The staff was very accommodating when we realized the storage unit we had reserved was too small and allowed us to change it to a larger unit.

Been at this facility for years and have had nothing but excellent experiences. The staff has always gone out of thier way to be helpful, and even if they couldn't be, they have always been kind.

Horrible management, treated inhumanely by management of this location by being locked in the storage facility until 5 a.m.!!! Go elsewhere! Or get a lawyer... It seems corporate doesn't care either!

The storage facility was overcrowded with uhuals being stored on both sides of either ends trying to come out of the isles. I could barley get out to be honest. It was ridiculous and needs fixed.

The staff was extremely helpful, the phone conversations good! Our only problem was the constant blockage after hours to the storage driveway and gate by return rental trucks. The 24/7 access is not.

Despite having several customers at the counter late on a Sunday and troubles with the computers, the people at the counter were polite and patient. We were exhausted -- a long day. They were great!

My only negative was that I was charged $40 for keeping the rental truck an hour too long. I wish you had told me that when I turned it in and not just charged my credit card later.

Very convenient experience. Excellent value. I would improve the entry and exit surfaces of the building doors. Wheels on carts hangup and cause things to fall off cart. Need better communication.

The facility is well maintained, and has also seen good improvements in the 8 years that I had a storage room. Security is taken seriously here, which isn't always the case elsewhere. Staff is nice.
