I was lied to about the trailer being owned by OP ks location and could not be returned to the Branson mo location since I was done in one day and tried to save some money by returning trailer to Branson vs returning back to KC…the trailer had Maryland plates …not a trailer traveling the country and could be returned anywhere…

Krista DSince we usually pay for a 2 day rental and only use it about 1 and 1/2 days, what does it matter if I am 30 minutes late picking up the trailer? I put in a reservation to pick it up at 6 pm and arrived at U-Haul at 6:30 and got a snide comment from Kyla (sp?) the 20 something year old behind the counter. I have waited at this facility for up to one hour before, so it seems pretty hypocritical of them to tell me I am a half hour late (especially when facility is open until 8 pm). At least Kyla is an improvement over the heavy set blond who used profane language in front of me (including the f word) when chit chatting with her co-worker.

Jusitn LThe advertised $19,95 in town move turned into $70 with fees and mileage and some $1 "environmental fee"?? Very deceiving especially since there is a "rental rate" as well as a "rental charge" -both $19,95- doesn't make sense. Do better with more clarity on your expected charges

David DThe new requirements to rent a pickup has changed but you have nothing about this on the application. I went with another vehicle concerned that my wife and stepmom would think it was a scam if someone from uhaul called them claiming to need information. It's too bad we live in a day that you and I have to do this. Just wanted some upfront notice.
Aaron BThe employees at the location were perfectly fine, but the policy of needing to provide two personal references and requiring one of them to be called and spoken to over the phone as "meaningful assurance" is absolutely ridiculous. You've got a copy of my ID, you've got my credit card info, I have a past rental history with Uhaul, and you're still acting like I might be trying to pull off the heist of the century with your crappy Chevy pickup truck. It's literally easier to rent a car from any major car rental company and drive it cross country for a week than it is to pickup a U-haul for a two hour Ikea run. I would think that in the year 2024, you'd be able to come up with some form of fraud-detection technology a little more sophisticated than asking your customers to let you cold call their family members at work. I'm not even sure what you think this "meaningful assurance" proves. If my intention was to go around stealing trucks from U-haul, I'd simply have a buddy waiting patiently on a burner phone ready to tell you I'm a fine, upstanding citizen. Anyway, I'll rethink using U-haul in the future.

David WWorst customer experience I have ever had in my life. If there was a 0 start I would give it. I made it clear that this was my first time driving a truck like this and that I was a bit nervous. On top of that I am renting a 15 foot truck and moving from Kansas City, Missouri to Madison, Wisconsin (592 miles) Their only advice was "make wider turns", and "if you can drive a car, you can drive a truck" . They provided no explanation on how to use or drive the vehicle and no compassion whatsoever. - They could not take even a minute to help out, just gave me the key and said you are ready to go. The truck and equipment was very old, bumpy, loud, but it worked for hauling. For a vehicle like this, I guess it was expected so cannot complain about it, but it would have been nice to get some customer service and have this explained before I go on a 592-mile journey. They include the milage of 592 miles knowing that we would go over because people have to stop for gas and food and then I had to pay $1/mile extra. You would think for a 592 mile journey, they would be a little more understanding and give some leeway. Ended up paying $71 extra Anyways, we made it, so life goes on

Ambush HGreat service with a great sense of urgency.
Jim MU-Haul doesn't understand the effect it has on customers when you are able to reserve a dolly on the website but be told they're first come first serve when you come in person to retrieve the dolly and truck. Reserving an appliance dolly is suggesting we have very heavy equipment to move and to be told ALL dollys have been given away based on a first come first serve policy is unacceptable. U-Haul needs a better system for reserving a dolly in the future. Customers should not get their hopes up when reserving a dolly from U-Haul locations knowing it doesn't mean it's guaranteed if a walk in gets there before you and it's given to them.
Keenan HI reserved a trailer at a different U-Haul location, but was told that I had to pick up the trailer at this location, 25 minutes away. When I arrived here, the reservation system was down, so it took nearly an hour to complete the rental transaction. Not good.

I was not told beforehand that the "quick connect" is extra. This was not included in the estimate I was quoted on the phone when I set up the appointment.
Maggie HUhaul Employee was nice and knowledgeable about the equipment, trailers, etc. Will recommend this location to other because they have many trailers, trucks, and any equipment that you may need. Good service!!!
Winfred JI reserved a pickup truck and was given a 15' moving truck. I had no need for such a large vehicle and wasn't given an option of anything besides cancelling my reservation. Customer service was exceptional but I was a bit dismayed with the lack of notifications after having been moved from my original location to one further from my desired pick-up spot due to the pick up I requested not being available at location #1. It also wasn't available at location #2.

Kevin MThe truck I picked up was was clean, but it obviously had seen better days. The driver's seat was uneven, dramatically leaning to the left, which made driving very uncomfortable. The cab was noisier than it should have been as everything in it seemed to rattle. The overhead door of the box was hard to open and close.

Its still $320 NOT the $300 I was promised. Now nobody wants to address my issue. Everybody says you got call so and so, or talk to your local office. What a bunch of BS.
Charles EIt was awesome. Picking up the equipment in KS everyone was so friendly like family. Helping me get a better idea of options based on what I was planning to do. When I returned it in TX it was exactly the same. You have a great set of people that have sold me for life. As easy as this move is I will be using U-Haul again. Keep up the great work. BRANDON CHad to wait 40 minutes even though I had a scheduled appointment. I traveled from Overland Park, KS to Chandler, AZ and they gave me a 20' vehicle which had over 75 600 miles on it. There were many times where I did not think the truck was going to make it for the long haul.
