I rented a cargo van that only had ~220 miles on it. Overall in great condition. However, after I began loading it, I realized the cargo floor was covered with some type of motor oil. I called the rental office to let them know. The agent was very understanding and offered to let us switch trucks. However, it would have taken too much time to drive back to the office so I declined. This limited our use of the van and caused several moving blankets to get oil on them. It would have been helpful if the service people had checked the van more thoroughly so that this situation could have been avoided.

There's something wrong with your website. This is the second rental within a week where the location I selected to rent from was not the location where the vehicle was located. In both cases, I selected the Sudley Road location but the reservation system changed the location to the Dumfries Road location. The first time might have been my mistake in choosing the wrong location. Probably not, as I know the difference having lived in the area over 30 years. But the second time it was the reservation system. Something for your IT geeks to look into. Otherwise, service at both locations was great; vehicles were great. Return was quick and easy.

Keep keeping your staff happy. They provide the atmosphere that makes the difference in a "just ok - it got the job done" experience to an above avg or excellent experience. A vehicle is a vehicle. It takes people to get the experience to the next level. The person that helped me the 2nd time was great. It made the experience better than the 1st visit.

The truck had brake and engine issues and wouldn't drive up hills. We were worried we would be stuck on the side of the road and I didn't get to finish what I needed to do because we just wanted to return it before it broke down.

The person who rented me the trailer was great and equipment hookup experience were excellent. However the trailer leaked water during the continuous rain on the trip and damaged some of my contents. I am filing a damages claim. The leaks need fixing.

The van I got smelled like a horse stable, it was super stinky. After I got the van I had to make sure to wrap all my upholstery because I was afraid the smell would linger on my furniture. The van inside was super dirty, food crumbs and old French fries in every corner. We had to drive with the windows down because it smells so bad in the van. I am only writing this review because the van was so badly taken care of.

Visite la sucursal U-HAUL que está ubicada en 8004 SUDLEY RD, MANASSAS VA En lo personal el señor que nos atendió a mi pareja es una persona déspota en todos los sentidos ninguna amabilidad hacia nosotros consideró que deben de ser muy selectivos al elegir el personal que estará atendiendo en sus sucursales U-HAUL. Una persona que esté al servicio del cliente debe de ser Amable y ser Paciente. Porqué la persona que llega no va a pedir a dicho lugar va a solicitar un servicio que es pagado por ende tiene que recibir una buena atención. En las dos ocasiones que e solicitado el servicio de transporte el señor tiene el mismo comportamiento es totalmente desagradable. Espero que prestes atención a mi comentario

When I received the truck the gas tank was almost completely empty. I returned the truck under a 1/4 of a tank. For some reason I got charged for fuel. If the truck was given to me empty and I bring it back the same or more fuel in it why I got charged for fuel cost?? Juan Amaro.

This is our second time going to this place but the kid that was there was not much of a help this was my first time doing mobile pick up but it like he had no idea what I was talking about once we found the correct truck we asked them if the can move the van that was in front in order to move the one we needed . and he just gave us a different van . He never told us what we had to do when we returned. Just because we where returning when they where closed so we where really lost . He just seemed super confused I tried to talk to him in both Spanish and English but really didn't say much . So costumer service was definitely not great .

The people that work there were so rude they were watching a basketball game instead of helping customers. The truck was parked at J9 it a very tough parking spot to pull out of. When I retuned the truck I told one of your employee his name was Danie that the truck was very dirty and there was broken glass in the trailer and I had to sweep it and remove large pieces of glass. He said you cleaned it? This is by far the worse experience I ever had renting a truck from that location.

Was told my vehicle had issues and offered a repair when it was faulty uHaul wiring/equipment. Upon return I asked for assistance switching back a hitch ball and the guys said they couldn't do that

Rude, not helpful and I will never use them again. I've rented different trucks from them over the years in all different sizes and have never had a bad experience until this time. How does a business survive when they act like THEY are doing you a favor instead of exhibiting any customer appreciation or service. Tired of spending money, especially these days, with any business who makes their customer feel less than valued. Never again!

The cargo van was completely operational and did what I needed it for with no problems, but the cargo space was not cleaned. It did not bother me, but it may have bothered other users. there were also numerous dents in the back of the truck. It had the claim stickers on there already prior to my use. Also, I had no idea I would not be allowed to keep my car parked in the lot. It was a surprise to me that I would need to park a couple blocks away. Had I have known, I would have brought a coat if I knew I'd have to walk a few blocks out in the cold.

The U-HAUL associate who assisted me at the Sudley Road location was very knowledgeable and helpful in getting the auto hauler hooked up to my car. I was glad that he was there to assist with hookup and testing of the lights.

The manager is rude. Since they don't allow customers to leave their cars on the lot and to park their vehicles across a very busy highway, I asked if it would be alright for one of his employees to bring me back in the U-Haul since I am handicapped and the manager didn't even want to hear it and kept cutting me off. Very rude. If he worked for me, he would have been let go a long time ago. Vehicle I had was filthy with trash and I had to clean it up before using it.

When my boyfriend went in to turn in the key of the uhaul first thing that came out the representative mouth was "we don't have any returns today!" He handed him the contract and all the guy said was "oh" . Completely unprofessional.

I went to the truck on the 31st to be returned to be returned on the fourth for some reason the truck got told that U-Haul and I had to go pick it up all the way in Alexandria 37 miles drive. When I spoke to Billy he told me that my bill was going to be 143 that he was not going to charge me for the gas That he appreciate me driving all the way to Alexandria to get it at the end they ended up charging me the full amount which I'm not too happy with it

I didn't like the regulations for dropping off after hours. If you're not tech savvy you are lost! If your drop off is 9:00 someone should be there. I was lucky to be able to ask for help from another customer but other than that the rental was ok.

There were no instructions on how to adjust the side mirrors. There was nothing in the truck to move them electronically, and trying to move them manually didn't seem to work (they didn't budge). So, I had to drive it with the mirrors poorly adjusted.

The employee was so very rude and nasty made me feel like he was a racist mad that he had to help me. With a nasty attitude he mixed up my truck then left me to go look for it myself. Then when I attempted to verify damages to truck on app he said just look at gas and mileage very nasty. I was more concerned with damage on truck not observed in pics. You need someone at the counter with people skills and to understand without us customers he has no job! I will never return to that location and will make it known how rude the staff at that location is. I also felt like I was overcharged for the rental.

The cargo van smelled of smoke, there was trash in the back and the seats were dirty. I requested a new cargo van and it was a little better. Checking out was great. When I drove up to return the cargo van, an employee immediately greeted me outside and checked me out! 

Employees were not friendly. Matter of fact they didn't even speak until I asked a question. Blasting rap music in the lot with very offensive language. Not a very good representation of the Uhaul company.
