So, not this location, but I received no less than 5 phone calls from U-Haul asking me to confirm when/where I was dropping off the equipment. Each time they called, they listed a different return location. It was confusing/irritating as hell.

I was very pleased with my U-haul experience. The GMC box truck worked much better than I expected. The tow dolly worked fine,just don't go someplace where You have to back up . You won't be able to.Aside from that , Its O.K.

The check in process was fine. When I came to check out, I had asked to return the twine I got that I ended up not using. The kid who checked me out with the headphones said he would credit my card on file. This was Monday April 1, 2024. Today is Wednesday and it still hasn't been returned to my credit card. The parking lot is a nightmare here too.

I rented a 15-foot truck that had virtually no fuel. I was told this location had crime issues including fuel being siphoned from their inventory of truck rentals. I've lived in LBG for nearly 30 years and I know this area is not the best. You need to move to a safer location.

I showed up the time of my pickup, I was ignored by the two dudes who admittedly were busy shuffling the cars around but literally too busy to help me get my truck at the designated pick up time. Then after I gave them some time to sort out their obviously logistic shortcomings i was met with a childish remarks such as "we told you were were ready for you earlier" well if they had actually told me they were ready I would have done whatever I needed to do because I was waiting literally waiting for half an hour. it was an hour past my pickup time when i finally got the keys and i had to move the equipment tot the truck(i was trying to be nice and willing to help since they were struggling). regardless yeah that was my worst experience with UHaul. I much prefer the mobile 24/7 pickup even though those are more tricky when you gave to hunt for your truck but at least I will be the only one to blame for a late start.

The pick-up & drop-off process was quick, smooth & professional. The woman who checked me in even helped me get the U-Haul app. on my phone.

The trailer I rented was broken. They told me I needed to go across town to pick up another one. I asked if they could give me a larger trailer for the same rate and they said no. I was in a rush and ended up paying 50 % more for a larger trailer due to the inaccuracy of trailer availability the booking process.

I'm grateful that you didn't put a dolly and furniture blankets as requested. I was able to pick up the maximum amount of food to give out to our long beach community. I'll be using your services next month.

They never pick up the phone, claim not to pick up because they're busy. Called while in the store with the manager standing at the counter whith no customers and my call still went to voice-mail. They also said that they close their cash registers at 6:30, half an hour before end of business day. If you want to return equipment, close out and pay in cash, you might be in for a frustrating experience!!

The rep was a little rude when I approached him in the parking lot, he responded like it was a bother to help me as a customer, then inside he proceeded to curse the "F" word twice out loud for all customers to hear. I believe one of the reps was late therefore they, the other employee and him were not happy campers, but is that our fault?? Anyway they seemed VERY unprofessional.

The vehicles must be safe to drive. The truck I had was old where transmission was slow to shift gears on surface streets. When on the road it ran smoothly. When is it time retire an old vehicle?

The entrance is confusing and the location is difficult to access. I pulled the trailer in but was not acknowledged, so I assumed I go inside to let them know I'm there. I'm in line for 10+ minutes, still don't get acknowledged or asked what I can be helped with. When I finally ask the gentleman behind the counter if I need to do anything specific with the trailer, he said to tell someone outside. I could have been told that when I walked in and saved 10 minutes and my trailer blocking the drop-off. Just seemed like they were phoning it in that day. Once I got outside and found an attendant all was good. Thanks again for the trailer

Office employees were exceptional. They were the best part of the experience. The van had a soda can from the previous driver. And it seems that the last driver returned the van after hours, so the fuel was jnaccurately documented. PCH is a centralized location for Long Beach residents. The office staff are great. Its up to the community to show some ownership when renting equipment that other community members will use too.

They were closed when I arrived BEFORE their published closing time so I had to leave the truck. I left a dash cam in the truck but when I showed up just after they opened the dash cam was gone. they employee claimed to have no idea where it went.

The computers were down and customer service from the owner is terrible, a little smile goes a long way sister. Don't like the job? Sell the shit and move on with your life, assuming you're the owner. If not quit and work a job that doesn't require customer service.

The maintenance issue encountered was not the problem of the U-Haul employees at this location. They did the best they could when I was late for my appointment and gave me the only remaining van they had which unfortunately stunk of cigarette smoke and had a broken piece in the back that had been hidden by the last person to rent the vehicle, I would absolutely come back here again, as the employees are very hard-working and did a great job.

The gentleman (manager ?) who helped us at the register went above and beyond! I think he provided one of the BEST customer service experiences I've had in awhile. Please tell him thank you if you know who he is. My daughter and I were able to move. Merci.

1. Employees forgot about me when I moved my vehicle in front of the trailer. I waited about 10 minutes, then lifted the trailer onto my hitch, chained, and connected electrical. Then I went inside to ask them to check my work. Employees were sitting and chatting and told me they had forgotten about me. 2. Electical wiring did not connect and had to be replaced before i could leave. 3. I drove several miles before I thought to check to make sure the moving blankets had been put inside the trailer. They had not. I had to return to pick up the blankets. No apology was offered to me. 4. There is no stop on the roll up door, and the locking arm buried itself past the point I could get to it. I had to use a pry bar to get the locking arm out and close the door. 5. I did not use the moving blankets, and I was told the U-Haul policy is to not refund the cost of the moving blankets. I did not open the bags, so it is obvious I did not use them.

I am a automotive mechanic. Today. I use the truck to move my toolbox and other heavy equipment from storage. I went from Long Beach, California to Torrance and back in <3 hours and a 1/2. Much cheaper than a tow truck with charge me for moving my toolboxes
