The guy who did my check in, needs to work on his customer service skills. When I returned the truck to Robert, his customer service skills were excellent.

We had a line of customers, about 15 strong by 7:15 a.m. The young lady who assisted us was the daughter of the owner, if I am not mistaken and she worked very efficiently. She was clearly overworked as it appeared her coworker did not arrive for his/her shift but there was no negative communication and she had a wonderful disposition. She should be commended for her work ethics (and of course, additional pay as that is always welcome by employees).

Leopoldo FierroTruck steering had a lot of play. Unsafe. Passenger side mirror would always tilt straight down after every adjustment, could only see the road. Company was negligent in allowing anyone to drive this truck. Truck id is TT2126D. The associate that helped with my return stated that a supervisor would contact me. Still waiting.

Rebecca LeannaI have already been treated by other people in this unit, who were super attentive. I was a little uncomfortable with the last guy who served me, as he was super relaxed in his chair, with no apparent desire to serve the customer. He was wearing a glove that made it difficult and took too long to handle his cell phone as he needed to take photos of his ID (for example) and finally, I had doubts about the final value displayed on the computer screen and he did not demonstrate the knowledge to answer my question. . Overall, I really like this unit and will continue using the services. I will even have 2 reservations for March. See you soon.

DAWN ROMANOMy biggest issue is with the 24/share app. It's extremely slow, it takes a very long time to upload/ verify photos, and it glitches too much. The location overall is pretty good, except when I was finished returning the truck I went to hand the keys to an employee at the counter. He said someone would be here to help me soon. I informed him I just needed to return the key, to which he replied " I'm on my break, that's why I can't do anything." There was no one else in the store - customer or employee. I already knew the lady outside would be a while helping a few other customers. I actually used to be a manager at this location and I did a damn exceptional job at it. My team would have never behaved in this manner, and my MCP would have never permitted an employee to be present at the counter if they're on their break and unable to help anyone. More importantly, the personnel I worked with would have been courteous enough to just grab the keys. It's not a big deal in itself, but is part of a big accumulation of how disconnected so many customer service reps are at so many places. I just put the key in the drop box. If they want to have to take extra steps, then that's on them. No complaints otherwise.
Vail TealGreat service from start to finish. Uhauls off site location service operator people are great canceling and or changing needs. Overall very good! Keep real people on the phones, less automation the better. We don't need robots telling us to press numbers for this or that.

Gregory BarajasHonestly, this U-Haul location in Merced once again delivered an excellent customer service. Shoutout to Caitlin for being friendly, professional, and understanding (I had accidently left the keys inside the vehicle upon returning the 20' ft trailer I was using to move into our family's new home.). It's not easy having to provide customer service but she did it (Winter months are slow but an extra person wouldn't hurt to help out.) The condition of the trailer we used was great, didn't notice anything that was dirty, damaged, or broken (did what I needed it to do to transport our stuff).

MICHAEL WILLIAMSEric the Manger was great. The young tattooed male employee (did not give his name )was only concerned with his own feeling of being 'disrespected' and the way he was talked to by me. He forgot for awhile that he works in customer service and should help the customer even when the company has failed the customer. I reserved a dolly. No dolly was there. A one way car hauler was there. Eric via text, worked it out and you can see why he is a manager. Great Job him.
